Paperwork Matters

On Tuesday, Townhall reported that a complaint has been filed against the political campaign of President Biden and Kamala Harris.

The article reports:

A complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission last week by Citizens United and a number of state Republican Party chapters, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are accused of violating federal law in the hours after Biden dropped out of the 2024 race for the White House on July 21.

“This complaint is filed pursuant to 52 U.S.C. § 30109(a)(1) against Kamala Harris (FEC DI P80000722), Harris for President (f/k/a Biden for President) (FEC DI 00703975), and Keana Spencer, in her official capacity as Treasurer, for an unprecedented $96 million violation of 52 U.S.C. §30116(f),” the complaint, submitted July 24, 2024 states. “Importantly, Biden and Harris were not their party’s nominees for President and Vice President, respectively, for the 2024 general election at the time this all happened. Notably, there also is no record on the FEC’s website that Biden filed any paperwork with the Commission announcing that he was no longer a candidate for President, as other candidates do when they withdraw from a race.'”

When Biden announced he would not seek re-election, weeks prior to being nominated at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, his campaign war chest of $96 million was transferred to Kamala Harris after a name change on FEC paperwork.

The rules are there for a reason. The transfer of the $96 million from President Biden to Vice-President Harris is not automatic–there is serious paperwork involved. Evidently, neither of the people involved sought to honor the paperwork requirements.

The article notes:

“In fact, while Harris filed paperwork with the Commission announcing that she was no longer seeking reelection as Vice President, 6 Biden did not file any corresponding paperwork.

It will be interesting to see if the rules are going to be followed or ignored.

Has President Biden Read The Constitution?

On Saturday, Townhall posted an article about a planned move by President Biden before he leaves office.

The article reports:

President Joe Biden has one last thing on his agenda before leaving office, and of course, it involves attacking former President Donald Trump.

The president is set to propose a few changes to the U.S. Constitution next week in a bid to reform the Supreme Court. While he’s at it, Biden will also seek to reverse the higher court’s immunity decision on Trump.

Does President Biden really believe that he can unilaterally change the U. S. Constitution? Is Congress wimpy enough to let him do it? This is the epitome of political lawfare.

The article notes:

According to a report, Biden will seek to establish term limits for Supreme Court Justices and an enforceable code of ethics. He will also push for a constitutional amendment that would limit immunity for presidents and other lawmakers—a response to a case brought before the SCOTUS by Trump, in which the court ruled that presidents are protected from prosecution for “official acts” during their time in office.

Biden is expected to make the announcement during a trip to Texas on Monday. However, the report notes that the proposal has not been finalized, and changes can occur.

When asked to comment on the topic, the White House referred back to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s Thursday remarks in which she said the president “believes if you are serving in high office, you should be held to a transparency, accountability and you should be held to a high ethics.”

During his first address to Americans on his decision to exit the 2024 race, Biden insisted that reforming the Supreme Court is “critical to our democracy,” adding that he would work to do just that in his last six months in office.

Our ‘democracy’ is a republic with a constitution. Amending the Constitution without going through the proper process undermines that republic. I am hoping that Congress will develop a spine and put an end to the current dictatorship.

If She Were Rated On Actual Performance…

The media loves Kamala Harris. The Internet is trying to erase her role as Border Czar, her involvement in the Afghanistan withdrawal, and any other failed policy of the Biden administration. Unfortunately for Kamala Harris, there always seems to be one more administration failure that she was involved in.

On Friday, Breitbart posted the following:

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was tapped to lead the administration’s rural broadband expansion, failed to connect one person with high-speed internet despite having $42.5 billion from the so-called infrastructure bill.

During his 2021 State of the Union address, President Joe Biden tapped Vice President Harris to lead the effort “because I know it will get done.”

Now, in 2024, it appears that the Biden-Harris admin has made little progress getting Americans connected to high-speed internet.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Commission Brendan Carr noted in June that Biden and Harris did not connect one American despite having access to $42.5 billion in funding from the so-called infrastructure bill, or the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

Carr noted on Wednesday, “President Biden put VP Harris in charge of this effort back in 2021 and days later not 1 person has been connected.”

The article concludes:

Carr in June contended that much of the Biden administration’s failure to expand broadband is to its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals.

“The Biden Administration is barreling towards a broadband blunder. Congress has appropriated enough money to end the digital divide, but the Biden Administration is squandering the moment by putting partisan political goals above smart policy,” the FCC commissioner explained. “It is doing so through rate regulation, through union, technology, and DEI preferences, and through a thumb on the scale for government run networks. All of this threatens to leave rural communities behind.”

One wonders exactly how the $42.5 billion was spent. How much of it went to companies that coincidentally made huge campaign donations to Democrats?

What An Incredible Coincidence

On Tuesday, Fox News reported that the Justice Department has the transcripts of President Biden’s interviews with his biographer. Previously the Justice Department has denied that they have these transcripts.

The article reports:

The Justice Department revealed late Monday in a court filing that it does in fact have transcripts of President Biden’s interviews with a biographer after initially having denied possessing the documents.

While juggling Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests related to former special counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents following his departure as vice president in the Obama administration, DOJ attorneys said it would be time-consuming to process audio files into transcripts related to the president’s conversations with biographer Mark Zwonitzer.

“We don’t have some transcript that’s been created by the special counsel that we can attest to its accuracy,” DOJ lawyer Cameron Silverberg told U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich last month.

Isn’t it odd that as soon as President Biden is no longer running for a second term, these transcripts magically appear.

The article concludes, reminding us:

The findings sparked widespread outrage that Biden was effectively deemed too cognitively impaired to be charged with a crime yet could still serve as president.

In May, the White House asserted executive privilege over audio and video recordings related to Hur’s investigation, including the interviews between Biden and Zwonitzer.

“The audio recordings of your interview and Mr. Zwonitzer’s interview fall within the scope of executive privilege. Production of these recordings to the Committees would raise an unacceptable risk of undermining the Department’s ability to conduct similar high-profile criminal investigations–in particular, investigations where the voluntary cooperation of White House officials is exceedingly important,” Attorney General Merrick Garland wrote to Biden in a letter obtained by Fox News at the time.

I wonder if the existence of these transcripts was part of the persuasion used to get President Biden to step down from the campaign.

A Futile Attempt To Rewrite History

The problem with the Internet is that anything posted can be looked up at any time in the future. That is a problem the Democrats are currently having with Vice-President Kamala Harris’ record of political positions and accomplishments.

On Wednesday, Breitbart reported the following:

The very same media that championed Kamala Harris as America’s new “border czar” in April of 2021, is now claiming she not only wasn’t our “border czar,” but her duties never included slowing the surge of illegal immigration at our southern border.

Here are the proven liars at the far-left PolitiFact (I don’t link misinformation) this week providing tackling assistance for Kamala: Nope, they say, she was never border czar. Nope, she was never in charge of decreasing the flow of illegal immigration:

…A perfect example of this latest media effort to gaslight voters comes from the far-left Axios.

Axios headline March 24, 2021: “Biden puts Harris in charge of border crisis”

President Biden is putting Vice President Harris in charge of addressing the migrant surge at the U.S.-Mexico border, senior administration officials announced on Wednesday … Her first goal will be stemming the flow of illegal migrants to the U.S. [emphasis added]

The following month, Axios went even further and told us this:

Vice President Harris said Wednesday she plans to visit Mexico and Guatemala “as soon as possible” in a diplomatic effort to address surging migration at the U.S.-Mexico border, Reuters reports.

The number of unaccompanied minors crossing the border has reached crisis levels. Harris, appointed by Biden as border czar, said she would be looking at the “root causes” that drive migration. [emphasis added]

You’ll note Axios flat-out tells us Biden appointed Harris “as border czar.”

Busted. Will Democrat voters care about the lies, or will they just vote for her because she is the Democrat candidate?

Rewriting History

On Tuesday, Newsbusters posted an article about the spin the mainstream media is putting out about President Biden dropping out of the presidential campaign.

The article notes that CBS’s Mark Strassman is comparing President Biden to Lyndon Johnson in his decision to step aside. I don’t mean to nitpick here, but I am not convinced President Biden willingly made the decision to step aside. I think there was a “Godfather” moment with Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama that was the culmination of the effort to remove him from the campaign. Much of America was shocked when they watched the June debate. I don’t think the Democrat leaders were. I think they put President Biden out there because his poll numbers had been consistently low, and it was a step down the path to removing  him from the campaign. He has now removed himself from the campaign. It is also odd that he has not made any sort of appearance in a number of days.

The article reports:

We were told that Biden is stepping down due to bad polling, proof evident that he had no path to victory in 2024. But now we are getting a sliver of an admission that health was always a concern. The media are slowly circling back to what everyone else already knew to be true.

Of course, the big rewrite of history here is that Biden is somehow walking away from a second term in a patriotic exercise. This isn’t the case, either.

The truth is that Biden was pushed out of the race by his own party due to the aforementioned bad polling after the disastrous June 20th debate, which exposed the cognitive decline that people talked about for so long but never drew coverage in the media.

I don’t think history will look upon the Biden administration favorably. When President Biden came into office, inflation was low, the economy was rebounding, and the border was relatively secure. Four years later none of that is still true.

The Damage To Our Economy That Is Still Possible

President Biden will spend the last five months of his presidency as a lame duck. That is if he is not forced out by the 25th Amendment (which I consider highly unlikely). Because he remains as President, he can still do considerable financial damage to America by promoting certain policies.

On July 15th, The Federalist posted an article about the Biden administration’s latest healthcare proposal. The Biden administration proposal would extend a “temporary” increase in Obamacare subsidies, create new federal spending and undermine the current healthcare system. The higher subsidies were part of the Democrats’ partisan “stimulus” bill in early 2021. These subsidies were then extended for three years in 2022. These subsidies will expire at the same time the Trump tax relief package expires.

The Congressional Budge Office (CBO) reports that this increase in subsides would result in a “3.5 million decrease in enrollment in employment-based coverage.” The budget office explained that “the decline in employment-based coverage would be larger under a permanent [subsidy] extension,” because “more employers would change their offers of health insurance if the policy became permanent.” In other words, if you like your plan, tough luck — your employer could cancel it for you.

The article at The Federalist also notes the although extending the subsides would increase the number of insured Americans by 3.4 million, under the proposal 3.5 million Americans would lose employer-based coverage.

The article further notes that from the Exchanges’ launch in 2014 through 2021, only households with incomes under four times the poverty level ($124,800 for a family of four this year) qualified for subsidies. This year that 750 percent-of-poverty threshold stands at $112,950 for an individual, and $234,000 for a family of four.

The administration has also allowed Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients to qualify for subsidies. You don’t even have to be an American to get money from the government! The DACA policy will cost $9 billion in the coming decade plus $1.6 billion in interest costs.

Congress needs to say “NO” to any Biden administration proposals that increase the deficit. Any members of Congress that agree to spending more money during the end of this lame duck presidency need to be voted out of office.

The Maneuvering Begins

President Biden will not be the Democrat candidate for President in November. This was announced today. The obvious choice to replace him as a candidate is Kamala Harris, but so far President Obama and Nancy Pelosi have not endorsed him. On Sunday, Breitbart reported that Alex Soros, now who is now the head of the Open Society Foundations (OSF) George Soros led for so many years, has endorsed Kamala Harris as the candidate. Hillary Clinton has endorsed Kamala.

Let’s walk down memory  lane with Kamala Harris for a minute. She encouraged people to donate to post bail for the rioters arrested during the summer riots of 2020. She will probably campaign as the first African-American woman to run for President. Her mother was from India and her father was a college professor who arrived in America in 1961 from Jamaica. Her upbringing had little to do with the ‘black experience,’ but I doubt you will hear that. She was named the ‘border czar’ early in the Biden administration. She may have visited the border once or twice. People who support her will have to decide whether or not they want to listen to her cackle for four years if she wins.

My observation is that Hillary Clinton wants to be on the ticket. I would be surprised if she wanted to be Vice-President rather than President. It is common knowledge that the Obamas and the Clintons do not get along. This is going to be an interesting few weeks as the Democrats prepare for their convention in Chicago on August 19th. To add to the mix, Robert Kennedy, Jr., has stated that he wants an open convention and wants to be nominated.

All of the people who voted in the Democrat primary elections have now had their votes cancelled because the Democrats were not honest about the state of President Biden’s health.

President Biden is expected to make a statement about his withdrawing as a candidate some time this week.

Keep the popcorn handy.

The Legacy Of The Biden Presidency

On Saturday, The Washington Examiner posted an opinion piece evaluating President Biden’s legacy as President. It wasn’t a real positive article.

The article notes:

Leaving aside whether or not the country needed saving from Trump, Biden has not “done an excellent job as president,” as claimed by the sweetly generous New York Times. If he is “one of the most consequential presidents in our nation’s history,” as the dulcet-tongued Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said when he asked Biden to step aside, those consequences have been overwhelmingly negative.

I guess Schiff believes that flattery will get you everywhere.

The article continues:

Biden could have been remembered as a president who united the country and passed the baton to a new generation of leadership. To do this, he needed to govern as a commonsense centrist and then stick to his word and pass the baton. The economy was already adding 1.4 million jobs a month before Biden was sworn into office. If he had simply speeded the reopening of the economy after the COVID shutdowns, he would have presided over strong, equitable economic growth.

Instead, he allowed fawning historians to convince him he could be the second coming of Franklin Roosevelt. This manipulated by the Left, he pushed for massive and unneeded spending on a purely partisan basis, sending inflation through the roof and thus punishing vulnerable workers. As a direct result of Biden’s partisan overspending, consumers have accumulated $12.8 trillion in housing debt, $1.62 trillion in car debt, and $1.1 trillion in credit card debt, all record highs. According to the latest Federal Reserve Economic Well-Being survey, inflation has worsened the finances of 65% of people, including 19% who said it was “much worse.” Almost one-fifth of adults, 17%, said they could not pay all their bills in the month before the survey was taken.

No wonder voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy by 20 points.

The article concludes:

It is hard to see how Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, a politically rushed maneuver that got 13 American service members killed, did not encourage Russian aggression. And while Biden has done some good in managing NATO’s response to the invasion of Ukraine, he has been slow and indecisive in getting Ukraine the weapons it needs to push invading Russian troops out.

Then there are the divisive actions Biden has taken on forcing women’s dorms and bathrooms to take in men, forcing consumers to buy electric cars, and selectively prosecuting his political opponents.

There is a reason — indeed many reasons — that Biden has the lowest approval rating among presidents at this point in his presidency: He is a bad president. No amount of flattery from the New York Times or Democrats eager to push him out of his reelection campaign is going to change that.

Biden must go not because his legacy is splendid but because he has been an unmitigated calamity for America.

That pretty much sums it up!

A Preview Of Things To Come?

It’s only July, and the presidential election is in November. A lot can change between now and then. The lawfare against President Trump has made him more popular, and the assassination attempt has only increased his lead in the polls. Sadly to say, I don’t expect this to be the last assassination attempt. Hopefully the Secret Service will do a better job of preventing the next one. The Democrats are in a difficult position.

Hot Air posted one of the more entertaining comments made at the Republican convention last night:

It’s time to “end the Weekend at Bernie’s presidency,” DeSantis (Florida Governor Ron DeSantis) declared, and to “send Joe Biden back to the basement.”

On Wednesday, The New York Post reported the following:

President Biden said in a new interview that he would consider dropping out if he was diagnosed with a “medical condition” by doctors — giving the clearest indication yet that he may be faltering in his vow to seek a second term.

The 81-year-old president made the remark in a BET interview taped Tuesday when asked what it would take to prompt him to reconsider his candidacy.

“If I had some medical condition that emerged, if somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem and that problem,” Biden said in an excerpt released Wednesday.

In the same interview, Biden said that he feels the need to run again — rather than serve as a “transitional” leader, as he said in 2020 — because the country is “so divided.”

As far as divisiveness is concerned, President Biden has been a large part of the problem–not the solution.

The comment about stepping down for medical reasons is a very interesting change from the recent “I’m not going anywhere” statements. So what might be going on? Even though it is a long way until November, the Democrats are reading some pretty ugly writing on the wall. Even if President Biden is not aware of his poll numbers, I am sure Jill is. Does Jill want her husband defeated in a George McGovern-style rout? Even if President Biden drops out of the race on whatever excuse, who is willing to be the sacrificial lamb for this election cycle?

We have definitely come to a get-out-the-popcorn moment.

Didn’t He Ask For A Cooling Of The Rhetoric?

On July 16th, Hot Air posted an article that illustrates how serious the Biden administration is about cooling the rhetoric during the election season.

The article reports:

Biden’s position is that the problem with heated rhetoric is entirely on Republicans, and nothing he has ever said or done has been anything but loving and unifying. All that talk of existential threat to democracy? About MAGA extremists? About this being the last election if Trump wins?

All totally normal, says Joe Biden. It’s Trump who is the nasty one.

…Of course, when J.D. Vance was announced, the Biden campaign went straight back to it’s old form. Fewer than 48 hours after a man took a shot at President Trump, they released this:

Just for the record, Project 2025 is not Trump’s platform. Please do your homework!

The article concludes:

Biden is flailing, and when he flails he gets nasty. He gets nasty with opponents. He gets nasty with supporters. He gets nasty with citizens. It is his way, the “dog-faced pony soldier.”

…Biden simply doesn’t have it in him to rise to the moment, and it’s not due to his decline. He never has had it in him. He is a nasty old man, and was a nasty young man when he was elected.

…Expect President Biden’s campaign to go lower and lower because that is all he has.

The article contains multiple examples of the President Biden and the media vilifying President Trump and calling him a threat to our ‘democracy.’ Their rhetoric is the problem.

President Biden’s Plan For Inflation

On Tuesday, Hot Air posted an article about one way the Biden administration plans to fight inflation. It’s a plan guaranteed to be rife with unintended consequences.

The article reports:

Enough about Joe Biden’s mindless nastiness. I’ll take my cue from Donald Trump and Biden himself and focus on policy this morning.

Specifically, let’s talk about Joe Biden’s mindless and nasty demagoguery on economic policies. Faced with the electoral consequences of his corrosive inflationary wave, especially in shelter costs, Biden has to come up with some promised policy solution. And that is … federal rent control:

According to the Associated Press:

President Joe Biden is ready to propose a 5% cap on annual rent increases for tenants of major landlords as he tries to show he’s doing something about the high cost of housing, according to a person familiar with the plan.

The proposal, to be announced while the president visits Nevada on Tuesday, is being championed by Biden in the middle of a tense presidential campaign and a time when housing costs have been a major driver of overall inflation.

Hasn’t this man ever studied economics?

Housing costs are a major driver of overall inflation. That is true, but let’s examine why. Interest rates are double what they were under President Trump. According to U.S. News, the interest rate on November 19, 2020, for a 30-year mortgage was 2.72 percent. A loan of $250,000 would be paid back at the rate of $1,016.63 per month. On May 16, 2024, the interest rate on a 30-year mortgage is 7.02 percent. That loan would be paid back at a rate of $1,666.62 per month. The cost of the actual house you would be financing has also increased significantly in the past four years. So exactly what would be the result of federal rent control? First of all, find rent control in the U.S. Constitution. It’s not there. The 10th Amendment does not include rent control.

In January 2020, The Manhattan Institute posted an article about rent control.

Here are some highlights from the article:

Rent Control Makes It Harder to Find an Apartment

    • Cities that implement rent control see substantial declines in the availability of rental housing.
    • Locking people in to existing rental units leaves many renters in apartments much larger or much smaller than they would prefer.
    • In some cities, waitlists for rent-controlled housing are decades-long.

Rent Control Does Not Increase Diversity

    • Rent control benefits incumbent tenants at the expense of migrants hoping to relocate to a city. In New York City, white tenants have disproportionately benefited relative to black or Hispanic tenants, and landlords give preference to older and childless households.
    • Many of rent control’s benefits typically flow to higher-income households even as rent control drives up rents for everyone else.

Rent Control Degrades the Quality of Its Beneficiaries’ Housing

    • Rent control reduces investment in a property’s quality and causes a city’s housing stock to decay.
    • By suppressing property values, rent control also reduces tax revenue to municipalities, hindering their ability to provide essential services.

It will not decrease inflation, but it will increase government control.

The Part The Media Has Played

On Friday, Hot Air posted an article about the mainstream media’s role in covering up the failing mental acuity of our current President. The cover-up began in 2019 when President Biden was hiding in the basement ‘because of Covid.’

The article credits Drew Holden, someone who has posted a lot of the history of the cover-up on Twitter, with a lot of the information the article reports.

The article notes:

I have been pounding the drum on what I think is the most important thing to focus on right now, and it’s not the decline of the president. Everybody knows that, can see it, and it is baked into the cake. What conservatives need to do is open everybody’s eyes to the real villains in this story, and that is the mainstream media.

…Without their conscious decision to engage in a full-on conspiracy to perpetrate a hoax, Biden would never have become president. He probably would not even have become the 2020 Democrat candidate for president. Biden was already in mental decline in 2019–even George Clooney admitted that in his Opinion piece in The New York Times in an aside–and the media helped Biden and his aides to cover that fact up.

…Biden ran the “basement campaign,” in which he made few appearances and did only scripted events. The media called every criticism of Biden a lie or “misinformation.” They put Biden on their back and carried him over the finish line. Biden wasn’t as bad as he is now, but everybody with a brain could see his decline if they cared to look.

…And it is the media’s job to look and tell everybody what they see.

They also pushed every anti-Trump hoax as if it were reality, turning him into a moronic demon while Joe Biden was a wonderful, compassionate genius who just wanted to save the world from Orange Hitler.

The article concludes:

Politicians come and go, but the media, like the bureaucracy, is permanent. They help make or break the politicians. They pick and choose who gets in to a great extent, and thus they help push the most poisonous narratives and policies destroying our country.

Look at alphabet ideology–especially transgenderism. The media was all-in LONG before the politicians. They created the issue and the politicians hopped on board after the media made it necessary for them to do so.

…There is much more to say, but let me end with this:

Our job is to destroy the mainstream media. It is now a cancer in the body politic. Sure, we have to defeat the Democrats, but recognize that the Democrats are this way because it is what the media wants, or at least the media enables the Democrats to pursue their insane policies.

That’s why you see so many former politicians and operatives in the media–they are basically the same thing. It’s time to destroy their influence.

It’s time to stop watching or listening to the mainstream media and let their advertisers depart due to the lack of audience. That is how you defeat them.

An Historic Question

Anyone over the age of sixty remembers the question that pervaded the Watergate scandal–“What did the President know and when did he know it?” That is the question many Americans are now asking about health concerns surrounding President Biden.

On Monday, The American Thinker posted an article about the continuing decline of President Biden.

The article reports:

“What did the president know, and when did he know it?”

This famous question was asked 50 years ago by Sen. Howard Baker about the Watergate scandal.

This eventually brought down President Richard Nixon, leading to the installation of President Gerald R. Ford and his vice president, Nelson Rockefeller.

Neither were elected by the people, they were instead selected by the ruling class.

The article asks:

Should Sen. Baker’s question be asked today, not of the president but his family, handlers, media enablers, and fellow Democrats?

A quote attributed to Mark Twain, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes” may be playing out this summer, rhyming with Nixon’s resignation and an installed president.

Except to President Biden’s family, loyal Democrats, much of the corporate media, and paid Twitter fanboys and fangirls, Biden appears to be suffering from dementia.

There is the caveat and peril of diagnosing someone from afar. This is called the Goldwater Rule over a group of psychiatrists opining on Goldwater’s mental state as the Republican presidential candidate running against Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

Recently in a speech in Philadelphia, President Biden thanked Philadelphia for helping him win the race when he ran for Senator. When did Philadelphia vote in Delaware Senate races? This is only one of many recent statements that simply are not logical or coherent.

The article concludes:

President Biden is reportedly functional for only a six-hour window from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Who takes the proverbial 3:00 a.m. phone call? Hunter? Dr. Jill? The confabulating White House press secretary? Has this been the case for Biden’s entire presidency?

Last week in Copenhagen, I was asked by a tour guide, “What’s the matter with your president?”

The world knows Biden is a PINO – president in name only. Who is in charge? Who is making potentially world-altering decisions? And why and for how long has this been covered up?

This is not your crazy uncle kept in his room when you have company. This is the leader of the free world. His policies and decision can make or break countries and civilizations.

What did they know and when did they know it? Will the media ask? Will Congress? Or will it take a special counsel appointed by Trump’s attorney general to ask the question framed around election interference and insurrection? There needs to be a reckoning, with punishment for those running a shadow government in contradiction to the U.S. Constitution.

I expect this charade to end quickly, possibly by the end of the week.

Lying Or Simply Ignorant?

Watching President Biden these days is sad. It’s also aggravating because many of us knew in 2020 that he was not running on all eight cylinders. Now we have reached the point where when he continually repeats a lie, we don’t know if he believes the lie or if he has forgotten that it has been debunked. The mainstream media is very quick to accuse President Trump of anything they can think of only to have their accusations disproved. However, many people hear the accusation but not the truth that comes out later. That’s where we are right now.

On July 5th, Townhall posted the following:

On Thursday, President Joe Biden spent part of the 4th of July holiday giving brief remarks for military families gathered at the White House. He was pretty much the same Biden he’s been, which involved stumbling around angry and confused. We also learned that evidently no day or event is too sacred when it comes to this president trying to bring up the debunked “losers” and “suckers” hoax about former and potentially future President Donald Trump.

“You know, I was in that World War I cemetery, in France,” Biden said. “The one that my–one of our colleagues–the former president didn’t want to go and be up there,” he continued, slowing down his words and coming across as confused. “I probably shouldn’t even say it, any way,” Biden said from there, prompting laughter from the audience. “We gotta just remember who in the hell we are,” he added, his voice rising to an angry tone. “We’re the United States of America,” Biden said to cheers.

And why shouldn’t Biden be saying as much? Did he go off script? Is he aware that to claim Trump called fallen soldiers “losers” and “suckers” is a hoax? Did he recognize that it wasn’t the time or place to get into political jabs against Trump?

The article concludes:

As of Friday morning, the White House has yet to put out the official transcript of Biden’s remarks at the event, brief though they were. He actually spoke for only about four minutes. There is, however, a transcript of the first lady’s remarks, who spoke just before Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and the president. This looks to be a pattern, that it takes much longer for the official transcript of Biden’s transcript to be shared.

The Biden-Harris HQ X account was arguably even worse in how it commemorated the holiday, putting out a post warning that the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 is supposedly so evil that it will turn American into “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

As time goes on, it is going to get harder to transcribe President Biden’s remarks–between the slurred speech, the things that don’t make sense, and the non-sequiturs, it’s like playing anagrams.

Are Non-Citizens Registered To Vote?

On July 4th, The Gateway Pundit posted an article that included a video of non-citizens stating that they were registered to vote in America.

The article reports:

In a video posted on X, Mike Howell, Executive Director of the Heritage Oversight Project, has urged Americans to “declare independence from foreigners deciding our elections.”

The video, which was produced in collaboration with Muckraker.com, presents evidence suggesting that illegal aliens are being registered to vote in the United States.

“The evidence you are about to see relates to illegal aliens being registered to vote. This is a problem national in scale. The United States of America is for Americans, and our elections only should be decided by them,” Howell added.

The video centers around an apartment complex located at 220 Branch View in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to Muckraker.com, the complex is primarily occupied by non-citizens.

In an effort to investigate potential voting irregularities, representatives from Muckraker visited the complex and asked residents two simple questions: “Are you registered to vote?” and “Are you a citizen?”

The results were shocking. Out of the 41 people surveyed, four confirmed that they were non-citizens who were registered to vote. This represents nearly 10% of those interviewed.

“If this proportion holds true nationwide,” said a representative from Muckraker, “the integrity of the 2024 election is in jeopardy.”

The article also notes:

Earlier this year, The Oversight Project reported that flyers instructing illegal immigrants to vote for Joe Biden in the forthcoming U.S. election have been reportedly distributed at a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Mexico.

The controversial flyers were discovered scattered around the Resource Center Matamoras (RCM), an establishment known for aiding migrants. Some of these were even found on the walls inside port-a-potties at the location.

The flyers read: “Reminder to vote for President Biden when you are in the United States. We need another four years of his term to stay open.”

Law enforcement agencies need to make it clear that any non-citizens caught voting in the presidential election will be arrested and deported. That will solve the problem.

Election Interference?

On Tuesday, The Daily Caller posted an article about who is allowed on the election ballot in North Carolina The North Carolina State Board of Elections has rejected ballot access to third-party candidates, RFK Jr. and Cornel West.

The article reports:

The North Carolina State Board of Elections ruled 3-2 on Wednesday to temporarily keep Kennedy and West off the ballot until it further reviews the decision sometime ahead of the November election. The board chairman justified the decision, saying that the committee needed time to “look at petition-gathers who have been problematic,” according to NBC News. The Fair Election Fund, founded in May to target abuses of the election system, is planning to allocate a portion of its $5 million whistleblower protection program to investigate the board’s decision, a watchdog dog official told the Caller.

The investigation will begin by asking whistleblowers with knowledge of “illegal or unethical activity” by the state board the Democratic National Committee, or any groups aligned with President Joe Biden to share their story with Fair Election Fund through its hotline, an official told the Caller. The official did not give the Caller an estimate on how long the investigation will last, but said updates would be provided.

RFK Jr. and Cornel West are most likely to take votes away from President Biden. Any thinking conservative who has read RFK Jr.’s positions on anything other than vaccines is not likely to vote for him. Even his positions on vaccines would probably not attract many conservative voters. Cornel West is also not likely to attract conservative voters. Keeping RFK Jr. and Cornel West off the ballot is simply another effort by the Democrats to turn North Carolina purple.

The article concludes:

While ballot access remains in limbo in North Carolina, Kennedy is set to appear on the ballot in several states, including Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, California and Hawaii, according to Politico. West will also appear on some states’ ballots including Colorado, Oregon, South Carolina and Utah.

“The Board’s partisan decision, despite the submission of the requisite number of petition signatures on time, undermines the foundational principles of our electoral system,” West spokesperson Edwin DeJesus told the Caller, adding anti-democratic tactics.

Projection As An Art Form

“President Trump is a threat to our democracy” is the cry of those panicked on the political left. First of all, we don’t have a democracy–we have a representative republic. Second of all, President Trump is not the one limiting free speech and jailing his political opponents. But there are some other current lies that need to be debunked.

On Sunday, The New York Post reported:

Projection is blaming someone else for your own bad behavior.

We saw a classic case of projection in Thursday’s presidential debate, when President Biden — who is overseeing annual budget deficits of $2 trillion — asserted that his predecessor, Donald Trump, added more to the federal debt than anyone else.

It’s part of the latest leftist argument: that if Trump wins the election, he will run deficits twice as large as Biden would.

Debate moderator Jake Tapper joined the chorus of federal finance falsehoods when he claimed Trump had “approved $8.4 trillion in new debt,” while Biden’s actions will increase the debt by (merely) $4.3 trillion over a decade.

Those numbers are based on the predictions of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB). This group opposed the Trump tax cuts which increased federal revenue.

The article continues:

The fundamental flaw of the CRFB analysis is revealed if we examine the projections of the Congressional Budget Office.

The CBO’s projection for 2021, the last fiscal year of the Trump administration, forecast the federal debt to reach about $35.3 trillion by 2031, that is, over the next decade.

Today, 3½ years into the Biden administration, the latest estimates from the CBO project the debt will hit over $42.5 trillion by 2031.

The article concludes:

Biden wanted to spend $2 trillion more in the last year and a half, but conservatives in the House blocked the added bloat.

You can bet the farm that if the radical left wins the White House and Congress in 2024, that $2 trillion outlay will be first on their legislative agenda.

Biden’s other big lie, backed by the CRFB analysis, is that extending Trump’s tax reform will drown the economy in debt.

Yet federal tax revenues have increased since that tax reform was enacted — and federal revenues as a share of GDP have not fallen.

All of the increase in today’s debt has been due to massive, out-of-control federal spending — by both parties.

Trump spent and borrowed too much, full stop.

But with a debt headed to $50 trillion if reelected and a political agenda that stifles economic growth, Biden has set America on an unsustainable fiscal path that will lead to financial oblivion.

It’s the spending, stupid.

About That Supreme Court Decision…

This is a rant. If you don’t read rants, that’s fine. Please feel free to ignore this article.

A wise lawyer once said, “If the facts are on your side, pound the facts. If the law is on your side, pound the law. If neither is on your side, pound the table!” That’s what the Democrats are currently doing in reacting to the Supreme Court’s decision on Presidential Immunity. This decision might limit them in their pursuit of the political enemies.

I listened to President Biden’s speech last night about the decision. He used the decision as justification for the argument that if President Trump is re-elected, he will be a dictator. You mean like someone who issues and Executive Order forgiving student loans and when the court says this is unconstitutional and the President can’t do it, the President does it anyway? You mean like someone who consistently violates the Constitution and the Civil Rights of his political opponents and of people who peacefully walked through the Capitol on January 6th? Not the rioters who were destructive–those who followed the crowd in when the police opened the doors and waved them in.

Just to refresh your memory, on July 6, 2017, NBC News reported:

Federal prosecutors on Friday moved to drop charges against the last 39 people accused of participating in a violent protest on the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

The motion to dismiss charges by the U.S. attorney’s office seemingly ends an 18-month saga that started with the Justice Department attempting to convict more than 190 people.

That effort saw the government facing off against an intensely coordinated grassroots political opposition network that made Washington the focus of a nationwide support campaign — offering free lodging for defendants, legal coordination and other support.

Members of that activist network were declaring victory on Friday.

“This is huge news,” said Dylan Petrohilos, a Washington-based activist who was one of the original defendants, but had his charges dropped earlier this year. “The solidarity we showed as defendants won out.”

More than 200 people were arrested after the protest, during which several store windows were broken and a parked limo set ablaze. Two group trials ended in defeats for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, which was hindered by the fact that most protesters wore similar black clothing and covered their faces.

Contrast this with the handling of the January 6th protestors who had their civil rights violated for doing much less. Where was the Republican unity to help them?

The Democrats are very good at messaging. Their message for this election cycle will concentrate on the words convicted felon, January 6th, insurrection, lying, and dictator. None of these words actually apply, but the truth is not a consideration in Democrat messaging.

Some Things To Consider

The Supreme Court released a decision today stating that a former president is entitled to “absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority” and “presumptive immunity” for all official acts. But it held there is no immunity for “unofficial acts.” If nothing else, it postpones Jack Smith’s trial of the President until after the election. It also enrages most of liberal America.

But what happens if President Trump is elected President? Why is much of the political left in panic mode about President Biden as the Democrat candidate? There is no obvious evidence of President Biden being involved in pay-to-play schemes as President–the evidence on Hunter’s laptop is before Joe Biden became President. Will the Trump Justice Department pursue that evidence? If they do, which they rightfully should, the media will scream that it is political retribution. That is one ace the crooks in the deep state have up their sleeve. Washington needs to cleaned up–hosed down, disinfected, exorcised, etc. President Trump is the obvious person to do this because his success is not dependent on the media or the deep state (in fact, quite the opposite–they have worked hard to make him fail).

I don’t believe that the government can hold the media accountable for their lies–the American public needs to do that. Five major corporations own the mainstream media. The Chinese subsidize much of the American media–CNN’s ratings are generally so far in the basement that they are looking for a sub-basement. We the public can simply stop buying their newspapers, magazines, etc., stop visiting their websites and streaming services, and stop watching their cable news channels. After a while they will either tell us the truth or go bankrupt. Either one is a win.

Can this mess be cleaned up? I don’t know. I do know that it won’t be cleaned up if we don’t try. For many years I paid no attention to politics–I was busy working and raising a family. During that time, those in Washington built their mini-empires. Now it’s time for all Americans to pay attention, vote, and turn this mess around. We can do it if we are willing to put in the effort to learn exactly what is going on instead of believing everything we are told.

Reality Is Just A Word In The Dictionary

On Sunday, The Gateway Pundit posted an article about some comments made by President Biden after his Thursday debate performance. I guess self-awareness is not one of his strong points.

The article notes:

NJ.com reported Saturday that while at a private Saturday fundraiser in New Jersey hosted by Governor Phil Murphy, Biden admitted to the paltry crowd his debate performance was not up to par and vowed to fight back.

Biden then made a bizarre claim about Thursday’s presidential debate with President Trump that completely contradicts all available facts.

“Research during the debate shows us converting more undecided voters than Trump did, in large part because of his conduct on Jan. 6,” Biden boasted to the 50 attendees. “People remember the bad things during his presidency.”

“The big takeaway was his lies,” he added.

The New York Post notes that this boast from Biden is complete nonsense. Several polls released in the last two days show Biden’s support has dwindled across the board.

Moreover, even CNN’s own poll showed Trump won the debate in a massive landslide.

…Murphy had nothing but praise for the mentally declining Biden, calling him “America’s comeback kid.” He also vowed not to abandon him despite the campaign crisis.

“You’re on fire and we are all with you 1,000%,” Murphy said to Biden.

Does anyone remember the Ministry of Truth in the book 1984? They could take lessons from some of the Democrats.

There Is A Legal Aspect To Changing The Democrat Candidate For President

On Saturday, Fox News posted an article about some of the legal problems involved in replacing President Biden as the Democrat presidential candidate.

The article reports:

A major conservative activist group is preparing for legal battles in case the Democratic Party chooses to pull President Biden out of the running before or after he becomes the nominee.

The Heritage Foundation, one of the United States’ most prominent and well-connected conservative activist groups, is laying the groundwork in case a sudden switch-up in the Democratic roster sparks a legal war.

“We are monitoring the calls from across the country for President Biden to step aside, either now or before the election, and have concluded that the process for substitution and withdrawal is very complicated,” Executive Director of The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project Mike Howell said in a statement. “We will remain vigilant that appropriate election integrity procedures are followed.”

Heritage has already identified multiple states in which a switch away from Biden before or after the nomination could mean serious trouble for the Democratic Party.

In a separate statement, the Oversight Project warned, “If the Biden family decides that President Biden will not run for re-election, the mechanisms for replacing him on ballots vary by state. There is the potential for pre-election litigation in some states that would make the process difficult and perhaps unsuccessful.

Theoretically, the Democrats can change candidates only if their candidate is ruled mentally unfit or dies. Otherwise, the results of the primary elections have to be respected. Putting a new candidate in at the last minute disenfranchises the primary voters. There was a time in America not too long ago when candidates were chosen by the party elite in smoke-filled rooms. Sometime in the last century, it was decided to let people vote in primary elections. In 1972 that was a problem for the Democrats–George McGovern won the primaries, but he was unelectable–he won only Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. At that point the Democrats put in place a policy of naming enough superdelegates to their conventions that the party (rather than the voters) controlled the nomination.

I think it is possible that President Biden will withdraw from the presidential race. I am not sure it is likely. Stay tuned.

The Now Visible Vulnerability

On Friday, The New York Post posted an article posted an article about some of the vulnerabilities America faces as a result of Thursday night’s presidential debate. The cognitive difficulties of our current President were on television for everyone to see. Some may have suspected those difficulties before the debate, but generally the public was told everything was fine. Now we know it isn’t.

The article reports:

Joe Biden’s disastrous debate is a political crisis for his campaign and his party.

It’s also a threat to national security.

There are two problems. One is that Biden, at age 81, isn’t up to the job anymore, if he ever was.

The other is that everybody now knows it.

Our allies know it. Our enemies know it. And both of them know that American voters know it.

Newspapers around the globe covered the mounting calls for Biden to drop out of the race.

If I were the leader of a country that doesn’t like America, I would be making plans to do whatever evil act I was planning for the future before January 20. If President Trump wins the election, domestic and foreign policy will rapidly be adjusted. It will not be instant, but energy independence will be back, helping the American economy and fighting inflation and deficits. Sanctions on Iran and Russia will reappear, limiting their ability to continue their wars and terrorist support. The world will be safer after January 20th if President Trump is elected because, as a businessman, he understands financial leverage. As a politician, President Biden does not. However, should President Biden be replaced by the Democrats as a candidate, remember–the policies will not be different from those of President Biden. We will have more war, more inflation, higher taxes, and continuing deficits.

The article concludes:

Politically weak presidents are also provocative. Putin invaded Georgia in August 2008, when George W. Bush’s approval ratings were in the 20s at the end of his term.

When Bush was riding high a few years earlier; he had the clout to get Congress and the American people behind assertive steps abroad — even when some lawmakers doubted him.

By 2008, that was gone, and Putin knew it.

It’s a dangerous world. Ukraine is still in deep trouble, and Israel isn’t out of the woods yet. Xi still covets Taiwan. Iran and North Korea are still menaces.

That makes the spectacle of Uncle Sam being paralyzed by an old leader who has lost his grip a lot bigger deal than just a campaign story.

Our enemies pay closer attention to American politics than many Americans do.

The Problem Really Isn’t President Biden

On Friday, The Federalist posted an article reminding us that the inflation, lack of border security, and rising crime rates are not solely the responsibility of President Biden. President Biden represents (and his policies represent) the platform of a particular political party.

The article notes:

CNN spent the hour after Thursday’s presidential debate in an emotional tailspin. But at the heart of their desperate “analysis” was speculation about whether the fumbling Biden should step down to let another Democrat jump in to carry the torch of “DEMOCRACY.”

The jig is up. Here’s what disillusioned Democrats and independents and moderates need to know. What all the blue-state refugees who now live in Texas and Florida instead of California and New York City need to admit. What all the fed-up middle-class families and forgotten nonwhite voters in the suburbs need to remember: These aren’t just Joe Biden policies that are disastrous. They’re Democrat policies.

Abortion. Economy. Crime. Immigration. Lawfare. Foreign policy. Health care. It doesn’t matter what pet issue has voters down in the dumps. Democrats are in lockstep on the losing side. And anywhere they aren’t in lockstep — like on whether Israel is a victim of terrorism or a group of oppressive “colonizers” — they tow the radical line.

The article concludes:

And our two-tiered system of justice — led by the deep state, rogue state prosecutors, and a leftist executive — wouldn’t stop just because Biden isn’t on the ticket. The same people who raided the homes of pro-lifers while seeking immunity for the Biden family; prosecuted one man for “classified documents” while letting other worse offenders go free; and made up novel legal theories and new statutes of limitations to gag, fine, and ultimately imprison their chief political opponent are beholden to a party, not just the sitting president.

So when the Democrat armchair class suddenly gets weepy about Biden’s decline, saying Democrats “‘HAVE A PROBLEM’ AFTER BIDEN’S DEBATE PERFORMANCE,” don’t buy the spin that a shiny new Democrat could bail America out.

It isn’t just Biden that’s ruined America. It’s his party.

It’s very easy to focus on personalities instead of party platforms. I suggest that voters read each party’s platform before they vote. Which platform best represents your views? The answer to that question is as important as the individual candidate.

Notes On The Presidential Debate

I watched the presidential debate last night. I filled out my Bingo card. I took notes. Here are a few of my observations.

My first observation was the way both men walked on stage. President Trump strolled. President Biden walked on awkwardly, stiffly, sort of shuffling, and waved to an audience that wasn’t there. After the debate, President Trump walked off; President Biden was escorted off of the stage by his wife. There was also the issue of President Biden’s voice, which his campaign attributed to the fact that he had a cold.

The most egregious lies told by President Biden:

  • Misquoting President Trump about Charlottesville–the quote has been debunked. Also, what was that part about pitchforks and torches?
  • Misrepresenting President Trump’s statements during January 6th. Again, check the Twitter feed from that day and the timeline involved.
  • Inflation was high when Biden took office–it was at approximately 2 percent.
  • The economy was collapsing, he fixed it. No, the economy was recovering from Covid and moving in the right direction.
  • President Trump was responsible for the open border. No, President Biden undid all of the Executive Orders that secured the border on his first day in office.

The liberal spin on the debate is that President Trump lied and that no one corrected him, yet no one is pointing out specific lies. The obvious lies from President Biden were not fact-checked by the moderators.

I don’t think the Democrats will keep President Biden as a candidate. I believe he will step down citing health issues or wanting to spend more time with his family and then be replaced. The question is who that replacement will be. I think the three most likely candidates are Gavin Newsom, Michelle Obama, or Wes Moore. Because I believe that the Democrat party is about checking boxes, my money is on Wes Moore. Governor Moore became Governor of Maryland in 2022 and does not have a long record of policies–successful or otherwise. I know that Michelle Obama might be a formidable candidate, but I am not sure the Democrats would run her, although that might blunt any displeasure at taking Kamala Harris off of the ticket. I think Gavin Newsom is not a winning candidate because of the impact of his policies as Governor of California.

At any rate, we will probably know within a few weeks who the real Democrat presidential candidate is.

President Trump put on a good showing last night–he was controlled, logical, and spoke clearly.
