Why Some Awards Mean Nothing

The New York Times and The Washington Post won Pulitzer Prizes for their great reporting of RussiaGate. When the story was proved to be false, they got to keep their awards. I wonder if after Liz Cheney is tried for destroying evidence and other crimes committed during her time on the January 6th Committee if she will get to keep her award.

On Thursday, The Epoch Times reported:

President Joe Biden has awarded 20 individuals the Presidential Citizens Medal, including two leaders of the disbanded Jan. 6 congressional panel—former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.)—for “exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens.”

The Presidential Citizens Medal, created by President Richard Nixon in 1969, is the country’s second-highest civilian honor after the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It is awarded to those who “performed exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens.”

“President Biden believes these Americans are bonded by their common decency and commitment to serving others,” the White House wrote in a statement. “The country is better because of their dedication and sacrifice.”

Considering the current mental state of President Biden, I wonder who actually made this decision. It certainly does nothing to further the idea of a rule of law that applies equally to everyone, and thus will further divide the country. That may actually be the goal.

For all of President Biden’s claims that he is engaging in a peaceful transition of power, his actions tell a very different story. When I examine the President’s actions since the November election, I see a man doing everything he can to put roadblocks in front of the incoming administration. The pettiness of this man and the people behind him never ceases to amaze me.

The Biggest Lie Of 2024

On December 31st, Legal Insurrection posted an article about what they considered the biggest lie of 2024.

The article reported:

All politicians lie from time to time, but the Democrats have elevated it to an art form. They understand that if a lie is repeated often enough, it gains traction, and most people will eventually believe it. They’ve also learned that the most effective lies are the ones that are the most difficult to disprove, such as their insistence in 2016 that President-elect Donald Trump was an agent of Russia.

The Russian collusion narrative was a stunning success for the Democrats, creating endless challenges for candidate and eventually President Trump. Buoyed by its effectiveness, party operatives felt emboldened, pushing them to concoct even bigger and bolder lies.

When former Vice President Joe Biden entered the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, the party quickly rallied behind him, convinced he was their best chance to defeat Trump. It was evident, however, that Biden had changed during his time out of the spotlight. He had slowed down, struggled to speak without a teleprompter, slurred his words, and frequently lost his train of thought. While Republicans and foreigners recognized the early signs of cognitive decline, Biden’s handlers worked tirelessly to cover it up.

Unfortunately, Americans are the ones paying the price for that lie. The staff surrounding President Biden included a number of people who were in the Obama administration. I don’t think that is a coincidence. The last four years were President Obama’s third term. We got to see the soul of the Obama Democrat Party–bad economic policy, bad foreign policy, bad energy policy, and suffering everyday Americans. In 2024, the American voters decided that they were done with bad polices and changed course.

The article concludes:

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) sums up the Democrats’ hypocrisy perfectly in the tweet below:

They blamed it on a “Stutter.”
They blamed it on “Russian Disinfo.”
They blamed it on “Cheap-Fakes.”
They hid him at every opportunity.
They scripted every public event.
They denied the Hur Report findings.
They sent him on vacation for 570 days.
They brazenly lied to you FOR… pic.twitter.com/ovnQtFsX8t

It’s Really Dumb To Take Pictures When You Are Doing Something Questionable

President Biden has granted his son Hunter a blanket pardon to cover the past ten years or so. President Biden has also claimed that he never had any involvement in his son’s business dealings. The millions of dollars that came into the Biden family during his time as Vice-President and President had nothing to do with Joe Biden he says. If you want to believe that, that’s fine, but some pictures have recently surfaced that you might want to take a look at.

On Wednesday, Just the News reported the following:

The National Archives has released photos of Hunter and Joe Biden meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other Chinese high-ranking officials in 2013 during the Obama-Biden administration.

The photos were obtained by the conservative legal foundation, America First Legal.

The president had long insisted that he never had any involvement in Hunter’s business dealings.

In another photo, Biden is seen presenting Hunter to then-Vice President Li Yuanchao, according to Newsweek. The photos include instances in which Joe Biden is pictured with Hunter’s business associates from BHR Partners, including Jonathan Li and Ming Xue.

The newly surfaced images take on added significance in light of the full and unconditional pardon on Dec. 1 that Biden granted his son after insisting he would not do so.

The pardon not only covered the offenses that Hunter was convicted of, namely illegally obtaining a firearm and failing to pay over $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019, but also any other “offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024,” according to Newsweek.

Michael Ding, America First Legal Counsel, said: “Even while President Biden has pardoned his son, Hunter, for anything and everything ‘he has committed or may have committed or taken part in’ going all the way back to the year 2014, more evidence comes out each day showing how his family leveraged Joe Biden’s even longer career in public office for private gain. America First Legal will not stop fighting to uncover the full story of the Biden family’s corruption.”

The pictures, along with the testimony of Tony Bobulinski should be enough to justify further investigation into the corruption, regardless of whatever pardons may eventually be involved.

Commuting The Sentences Of People Who Committed Horrible Crimes

On December 23rd, The New York Post posted an article about a number of prison sentences commuted during the final days of the Biden administration. Some of the people whose sentences were commuted as simply scary.

The article reports:

President Biden on Monday commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 men on federal death row — a list that includes at least five child killers and several mass murderers — while leaving off three notorious fiends.

…“Make no mistake: I condemn these murderers, grieve for the victims of their despicable acts, and ache for all the families who have suffered unimaginable and irreparable loss,” Biden said in a statement.

“But guided by my conscience and my experience as a public defender, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Vice President, and now President, I am more convinced than ever that we must stop the use of the death penalty at the federal level. In good conscience, I cannot stand back and let a new administration resume executions that I halted.”

The article lists some of the beneficiaries of President Biden’s largess:

Among those receiving the holiday cheer is Thomas Sanders, who in 2010 kidnapped and then shot 12-year-old Lexis Roberts four times and cut her throat in Louisiana — days after the girl watched as Sanders murdered her mother on a road trip near the Grand Canyon.

Christmas also came early for Anthony Battle, who murdered an Atlanta prison guard with a hammer in 1994 while serving a life sentence for raping and murdering his wife, a US Marine, in 1987 at Camp Lejeune, NC.

Jorge Avila-Torrez sexually assaulted and stabbed to death two girls — Laura Hobbs, 8, and Krystal Tobias, 9 — who had been riding their bicycles in their neighborhood in a suburb north of Chicago in 2005.

Four years later, he strangled naval officer Amanda Snell, 20, inside her barrack in Arlington, Va.

Iouri Mikhel, another clemency recipient, was convicted of murdering five Russian and Georgian immigrants after kidnapping them for ransom, which in some cases was paid before he killed them anyway.

Kaboni Savage, meanwhile, was convicted of committing or ordering the deaths of 12 people including four children as a Philadelphia drug dealer — while James Roane, Jr. participated in the murder of 11 people as a drug dealer in Richmond, Va.

Follow the link to the article if you want to see the rest of the group.

My first thought is to wonder who exactly is making these decisions. Is President Biden aware enough mentally to study these cases and make the decisions?

Things Are About To Change

On Friday, Just the News posted an article about President Biden’s ban on new liquefied natural gas sites. The ban is expected to be lifted when President Trump takes office in January.

The article reports:

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a legal motion this week asking to end a legal battle over the Biden administration’s blockage of new liquefied natural gas sites because President-elect Donald Trump is expected to end the ban.

The Biden administration in January announced a pause on new export sites for liquefied natural gas, citing climate change concerns. The U.S. is a major exporter of LNG.

The broad ban sparked criticism from Republicans and the industry, which is a significant employer in the U.S. and supplier of daily energy needs for Americans.

Soon, the ban faced a lawsuit as critics argued that while the Biden administration could deny individual permits, a sweeping pause was a policy decision beyond its authority.

The article concludes:

Earlier this week, lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee held a hearing on the LNG pause as Republicans blasted

Seehase is optimistic that the ban could be ended.

“We look forward to seeing this unconstitutional ban struck down—whether through the courts or by the incoming President—and see this as a major victory for the rule of law and for the tens of thousands of Americans across the country whose livelihoods rely on the oil and gas industry,” Seehase said.

I don’t know exactly how long it will take, but I believe that America will see cheaper energy in America by June. We have the resources for cheap energy, we just have to develop them responsibly.

When You Forget Past History, You Say Stupid Things

There is so much garbage in the media right now about President Trump going after his political enemies. It is garbage. I would like to remind everyone that if Hillary Clinton had been anyone other than Hillary Clinton, she would have gone to jail for her secret server and for destroying evidence. President Trump, in the interest of not further dividing the country, chose not to take that route. There was a legitimate open-and-shut case to send her to jail. Other people have gone to jail for similar crimes.

On Saturday, The Hill posted an article by Jonathan Turley about the Democrats wanting pre-emptive pardons from President Biden before he leaves office. If President Trump did not put Hillary Clinton in jail when there was an obvious violation of the law, why would he put his political enemies in jail? The Republicans are not the party that does that.

The article reports:

Liberal pundits and press in Washington are facing a growing nightmare in Washington. No, it is not the victory of President-elect Donald Trump or the Democrats’ loss of both houses of Congress and the popular vote in this election. It is the possibility that democracy may not collapse as predicted, and Trump might not even round up his opponents en masse.

For months, liberals have been telling voters that this will likely be their last election and that democracy is about to end in the U.S. ABC host Whoopi Goldberg declared on “The View” that Trump will immediately become a dictator who will “put you people away … take all the journalists … take all the gay folks … move you all around and disappear you.”

I hope that Americans are smart enough to recognize total propaganda when they see it.

The article concludes:

Trump may be the only one who is not interested in a trophy pardon. What is the value of being part of the resistance if you are not being pursued, persecuted or pardoned?

It seems like some of the same people who had hoped to be on the list for the Biden Inaugural balls are now making calls to make the Biden pardon list. If Biden were to yield to calls for hundreds or even thousands of pardons, the loss of political standing for those not making the list could become intolerable. For any self-respecting armchair resistance fighter in 2025, a Biden pardon could become the latest status symbol.

Good grief!

A New Level Of Chutzpah

President Biden has pardoned his son Hunter of all crimes committed between 2014 and 2024. In his statement regarding the pardon, President Biden cited the fact that he felt the charges against Hunter Biden were politically motivated and that he feared that the incoming administration would use the Justice Department politically. Wow. You mean like he has done for the past four years? It is telling that Baron Trump’s bedroom was searched by the FBI, but Hunter’s residence was never searched. Looking at the dates mentioned, I wonder if there is a statute of limitations involved here. There have been valid charges of child pornography on Hunter’s laptop. Is he now immune from those charges? President Biden was Vice-President from 2008 through 2016. When did the selling influence operations begin? Is there a statue of limitations on peddling influence? Are we about to find out?

On Sunday, Legal Insurrection posted an article about President Biden’s pardon of Hunter Biden.

The article includes the following statement from President Biden:

From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted. Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.

The charges in his cases came about only after several of my political opponents in Congress instigated them to attack me and oppose my election. Then, a carefully negotiated plea deal, agreed to by the Department of Justice, unraveled in the court room – with a number of my political opponents in Congress taking credit for bringing political pressure on the process. Had the plea deal held, it would have been a fair, reasonable resolution of Hunter’s cases.

The reason for the pardon is simple–it is an attempt (it may or may not be successful) to end any further investigation into influence peddling by the Biden family. I am hoping investigations will continue and that the guilty will be held accountable for their actions.

The Biden Administration Continues To Get It Wrong On Israel

Israel was brutally attacked on October 7th, 2023. At that time, Gaza was independently governed, Israelis were not present in Gaza, and many residents of Gaza were commuting to Israel for better-paying jobs. There was essentially a two-state solution. Obviously, Hamas was not satisfied with the status quo–they want control of Jerusalem. The Biden administration’s actions and policies toward Israel since that day have been a disgrace to our nation. Recently Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke out against the bad judgement of the Biden administration.

On Tuesday, Hot Air reported:

Speaking to the Knesset today, Netanyahu ripped the guidance and pressure from Biden and Antony Blinken over the last thirteen months in the wake of the October 7 terrorist attacks. Every single strategic demand made by Biden and Blinken during that time turned out to be wrong, which echoes a warning made by former Defense Secretary Robert Gates about Biden’s supposed foreign-policy expertise.

…For those who don’t recall, Gates served both George W. Bush and Barack Obama as Defense Secretary. In his memoir Duty, Gates wrote that then-VP Biden has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Biden has spent the last three-plus years proving Gates’ point, especially in his disgraceful rout out of Kabul and abandonment of 14,000 Americans to the Taliban. But Biden’s attempts to play general in Israel’s war against Iran and its proxies since the October 7 massacres provides ample proof of Gates’ insight as well.

The article notes:

The Biden-Harris administration on Monday unveiled sweeping new sanctions on Israeli Jews, just days after it awarded another $230 million in taxpayer funds to the Palestinians. The back-to-back announcements signal that diplomatic relations between Israel and the outgoing White House will continue to sour until President-elect Donald Trump retakes office next year.

The new sanctions are the broadest to date, imposing unprecedented punitive measures on three Israeli organizations the administration accuses of fomenting violence against Palestinians in the West Bank. They were leveled just days after a coalition of nearly 90 congressional Democrats petitioned the Biden administration to ramp up sanctions on Israel before leaving the White House.

The sanctions were announced just three days after the Biden-Harris administration awarded another $230 million in funding for humanitarian projects in the West Bank and the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. The American government has now sent more than $2 billion in taxpayer funds to the Palestinians since Hamas’s Oct. 7 terror spree on Israel—even as critics warn this cash is keeping Hamas on life support.

The Biden administration is currently on the wrong side of history and on the wrong side of the God of Israel. That’s not a good place to be, and hopefully the Trump administration will change things quickly in January.

Planting A Land Mine As You Walk Out The Door

Despite the talk of a smooth transition of power, the Biden administration has already planted a few land mines in the path of the incoming Trump administration. The agreement with the dock workers will expire three days after President Trump is inaugurated–hardly enough time to negotiate a settlement–putting a possible strike front and center in the first few days of the new administration. The Biden administration has about two months to plant a few more land mines, and one of the ones they have recently planted is going to be a serious challenge.

On Monday, The Epoch Times reported:

Anonymous U.S. officials have said that President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use long-range missiles provided by the United States to strike targets in the Russian region of Kursk, which is currently occupied by Ukraine in the ongoing war.

Ukrainian forces launched a significant cross-border operation into Russia’s region of Kursk earlier this year. Intense fighting is ongoing as Russian forces attempt to reclaim lost territory. Ukraine seized several settlements and is still holding strategic positions. In response, Russia has allowed 11,000 North Korean soldiers to amass in Kursk to aid its fight.

Last year, after North Korea supplied Russia with long-range ballistic missiles, the Biden administration responded by greenlighting Ukraine’s use of the long-range Army Tactical Missile System—with a range of about 190 miles—for targets within its territories, including in Russian-occupied Crimea.

There is a solution to this escalation of the war in Ukraine that is possible before the situation totally melts down (no pun intended). Through back-channels, President-elect Trump could make it clear to President Zelensky that any attacks into Russia would result in the total cutoff of aid to Ukraine as soon as President Trump takes office. In the past, President Trump has shown that he has the ability to use economic leverage to avoid using military force. In this case, it would have a good chance of working.

There are a few things to look at as consequences of a Trump presidency in Ukraine and in the Middle East. If ‘drill, baby, drill’ begins on day one, the price of oil will drop relatively quickly. OPEC will probably cut back their production in an effort to keep prices high, but in the long run that will not work. If America can flood the market with oil and natural gas, the income to Russia and Iran will drop drastically as oil prices drop. At lower oil prices, Russia cannot afford the war with Ukraine and Iran can not afford to fund terrorism to the extent it has been. Drill, baby, drill in America is part of a recipe for a more peaceful world.

Equal Justice Under The Law?

One of the talking points of the Kamala Harris supporters is that if President Trump is elected, he will put his political opponents in jail. That’s an amazing statement considering how many of Joe Biden’s political opponents Attorney General Merrick Garland has sent to jail or bankrupted on questionable charges. Recently, President Biden told New Hampshire democrats that ““we gotta lock him up,” referring to President Trump. Who is the fascist here?

On Tuesday, Breitbart reported the following:

Former White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon was denied early release from prison due to “insufficient time” left on his sentence, despite being eligible for home confinement, according to the prison warden.

In a letter to Bannon’s attorney, Trent McCotter, Darek Puzio, who serves as the Acting Warden of the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, wrote that while Bannon had “earned” enough “First Step Act” time credits to be eligible for home confinement, he had “insufficient time” remaining on his prison sentence for a referral and approval to be processed.

Steve Bannon is expected to be released from prison on October 29, after serving his full term. He is in prison for contempt of Congress.

An article posted at Forbes on May 16, 2024 states:

Since 2008, Congress has held ten individuals in contempt of Congress, and the Justice Department has only indicted two: former Trump White House advisers Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro, who were both convicted for refusing to comply with subpoenas from the House Jan. 6 committee in its investigation into the Capitol riots.

Isn’t it an incredible coincidence that the only two individuals who have been indicted for contempt of Congress and sent to jail are associates of President Trump. If you think you will be safe if Kamala Harris is elected, think again. There will be a war on ordinary citizens who do no think in ways that a Harris administration would approve of.

When Your Advice And Actions Backfire

On Friday, PJ Media posted an article explaining how the Obama-Biden-Harris foreign policy of enriching Iran may have actually helped Israel. Because of the large amounts of money freed up for Iran and the loosening of sanctions of Iran, Iran was able to increase its terrorist funding and terrorist activity in the Middle East. That increase was noticed by its Sunni Arab neighbors. That increase probably paved the way for the Abraham Accords. The article reminds us that President Biden was giving advice to Prime Minister Netanyahu during the period after October 7, 2023, and Prime Minister Netanyahu was wisely ignoring that advice. The article notes that President Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy issue since he has been in public life. The war in Israel is no exception.

The article reports:

Kamala Harris might’ve said that Iran is America’s greatest enemy, but the trio of Obama-Biden-Harris did more to strengthen Iran than any U.S. presidents since the overthrow of the Shah. From secretly sending planes with hundreds of millions of dollars to Tehran to sending over a BILLION+ more (in untraceable cash, no less), they were the financial pipeline that kept the mullahs in power. Most remarkably, this Unholy Trinity actually spearheaded a plan to legalize the Iranian nuclear weapon program!

In fact, under the original deal, the sanctions restricting Iran’s centrifuge usage would have expired in 2026, and by 2031, so would the limits on the amount of uranium Iran is allowed to develop and use. (But Iran pinky-swears they’ll be good.)

Basically, Obama-Biden-Harris planned to allow Iran to get their nukes… but to make sure it happened when someone else was in office.

The trio’s utter ineptitude is absolutely astounding.

But here’s where things go full circle: This trio is so amazingly inept, sometimes their backfires backfire — and you get the best possible result. It’s sort of the reverse version of Murphy’s Law.

With this in mind, I’d like to THANK Obama-Biden-Harris for helping Israel make peace with the Arabs.

Because if they hadn’t worked so hard to strengthen Iran, the Abraham Accords never would’ve happened under Trump. Israel never would’ve made peace with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. Nor would they be partnering logistically and militarily with Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Oman. Nor would they be on the verge of peace with most of the Sunni world.

The Obama-Biden-Harris Triumvirate strengthened Iran so dramatically that it actually scared the Sunni world into siding with the Zionists!

Perhaps this wasn’t ineptitude. Perhaps it was all deliberate and was the greatest example of 4-D chess in geopolitical history. But c’mon, folks: The is Obama-Biden-Harris we’re talking about. It was definitely, 100% ineptitude.

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn occasionally!

Maybe Yahya Sinwar Was Not The Entire Problem

On Friday, Ed Morrissey posted an article at Hot Air about some of the statements made after the killing of Yahya Sinwar. Those who fail to learn the lessons of history tend to repeat the mistakes.

The article reports:

So much for all of the fatuous demands from the Biden foreign-policy team for Israel to declare an end to the war. Both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made remarks yesterday cheering the death of Yahya Sinwar in Rafah, a city that both had warned Israel not to enter at all for most of the winter and spring. Both proclaimed this a great time to declare the conflict over, as did the State Department — and all aimed at getting Benjamin Netanyahu to stand down:

As both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris celebrated Sinwar’s death, they also expressed hope that the moment would enable Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to declare victory in Gaza and bring Israeli operations there to a close, finally clearing the way to a hostage deal and easing the daily drumbeat of grim headlines: civilian casualties in Gaza, ongoing Israeli operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, and a looming Israeli strike against Iran.

Biden’s statement made even less sense than Harris’, which at least sounded coherent. I clipped this strange remark from Biden in the Final Word post last night, but it’s worth considering here as well:

“This is a good day for Israel, for the United States, and for the world,” Biden said in a statement.

“To my Israeli friends, this is no doubt a day of relief and reminiscence, similar to the scenes witnessed throughout the United States after President Obama ordered the raid to kill Osama Bin Laden in 2011.”

The killing of Osama Bin Laden in 2011 really had little impact on anything except to bring some closure to the families of 9/11 victims. It really had very little impact on the war on terror–it was doubtful how much Bin Laden was controlling at that point.

The article notes:

Netanyahu isn’t the problem; Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran are the belligerents that started this war. And all three have declared that they intend to keep fighting it even after the deaths of the leadership in both Iranian proxies. Hamas confirmed Sinwar’s death and reiterated his position that they would not negotiate on hostages until Israel withdraws from Gaza and pledges not to return:

Israeli hostages in Gaza will not return until “the aggression” on the besieged Palestinian enclave stops and Israeli forces withdraw, Khalil Al-Hayya, deputy Gaza Hamas chief and the group’s chief negotiator, said on Friday.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed by the IDF, Hamas official Basem Naim confirmed on Friday, Israeli media reported. …

“Israel seems to believe that killing our leaders means the end of our movement and the struggle of the Palestinian people. They can believe what they want, and this is not the first time they have said that,” he added.

Israel did not start this war. I hope Israel continues it until all of Hamas is wiped out. Until that happens, there will not be peace. Israel is not the problem–nor is Prime Minister Netanyahu.

You Can Tell When Israel Is Winning–The United Nations Asks For A Cease Fire

On Monday, John Hinderaker at Power Line Blog posted an article about the continuing war between Israel and the terrorists that surround it. It is unfortunate that the rest of the world does not understand that in defending Israel they are fighting worldwide terrorism.

The article quotes The Wall Street Journal:

Israeli special forces have been carrying out small, targeted raids into southern Lebanon, gathering intelligence and probing ahead of an expected broader ground incursion, people familiar with the matter said.
***
The Biden administration expects an imminent Israeli invasion of Lebanon, U.S. officials said.
***
An Israeli official said that, if there were to be a broader ground operation, it would feature “localized, limited raids against Hezbollah targets along the border with the objective of destroying the capabilities of the Radwan Forces,” the militant group’s special-operations unit. Israeli forces assess that the group is making preparations for an attack, as Hamas did before Oct. 7, including positioning clothes, weapons and other materials along the border.

The difference is that October 7th was unprovoked and aimed at civilians. Israel’s attack has been provoked by the constant rocket fire on civilians in Northern Israel, and Israel’s attack is aimed at Hezbollah–a terrorist group.

The article at Power Line Blog concludes:

So, what is the Biden administration’s role in these events? Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have remained true to their policy of being utterly irrelevant, when they are not actually destructive, on all foreign policy issues. Biden’s greatest fear, apparently, is that Israel might actually achieve victory in its battle to the death with Hezbollah and other Iranian proxies:

President Biden starkly instructed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday to abandon reported plans for an imminent invasion of southern Lebanon to clear out Hezbollah-held areas days after the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah.

“Israel may now be launching a limited operation into Lebanon. Are you aware of that? Are you comfortable with their plan?” a journalist asked Biden at the White House.

“I’m more aware than you might know, and I’m comfortable with them stopping,” the president replied.

“We should have a cease-fire now,” he added.

There is a pattern here: whenever the Jews are winning, liberal Democrats want a cease fire to give the terrorists time to regroup and live to fight again another day. Happily, no one cares what they think.

If Mexico were firing rockets into Texas every day, would America want a cease-fire?

It Doesn’t Pay To Lie To People Who Know The Truth

On Tuesday, Townhall posted an article about a recent appearance on CNBC by Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. It did not go according to the Secretary’s plan.

The article reports:

Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo needs to stop going on CNBC. It might be time for anyone in the Biden-Harris orbit to drop going on a network that reports on the economy because they know the talking points, the spin for this shoddy economy left to us by this administration. Raimondo tried to sell the Democratic Party line on it, but Squawk Box co-host Joe Kernen wouldn’t allow this propaganda to go unchallenged.

He torched Raimondo, adding that there was no recession under Donald Trump, wages were up, the stock market was booming, and the tariff policy he pushed was continued under Biden. Raimondo was trying to paint a picture of economic chaos, only for Kernen to say that everything is in shambles and wages are down under Biden. There’s also an open border and crime crisis engulfing the nation.

These are facts. They are inconvenient to some Americans, but they are facts.

The article notes:

All Raimondo could say was that’s not true, without citing any facts to push against the reality that Biden’s America is one heaping lawless wasteland with no economic activity. The stock market performance right now isn’t sustainable, with everyone and their mother warning that a reset is coming. The unemployment that Democrats like to attach to Trump was over the hysterics brought about by COVID.

Also, no one in the media wants to ask Raimondo and others what happened to the one million jobs never created in 2023. The revised numbers wiped out that figure, discovering they were never created. It’s another damning economic development that Raimondo seemed unfamiliar with, so what does she do all day?

If voters consider the facts and vote for President Trump, we can regain what we have lost under President Biden.

Foreign Election Interference On Display

A lot of powerful people have a lot invested in the Ukraine-Russian war. The military-industrial complex in America is selling weapons faster than they can make them. That is probably the most successful sector of the economy under President Biden. No wonder the President does not want the war to end. How much money is being laundered through Ukraine and kicked back to Zelensky, Biden and members of Congress?

In October 2023, Breitbart reported that America was blocking peace in Ukraine:

Schröder’s (Gerhard Schröder, who served as Chancellor of Germany from 1998 to 2005) criticism was not limited to the Biden administration, with the ex-chancellor saying that both French President Emmanuel Macron and his successor as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz need to do more to lobby for the cause of peace, saying that the war is “not just an American matter but above all a European matter.”

He argued that rather than trying to come up with solutions to end the war, Western leaders seem to be more interested in the question of how to supply Ukraine with more weapons, which the former German chancellor said has been to the “delight of the American and German arms industries.”

“Why can’t support for Ukraine be combined with an offer to talk to Russia?” Schröder questioned. “The arms deliveries are not a solution for eternity. But no one wants to talk. Everyone is sitting in trenches. How many more people have to die? It’s a bit like the Middle East. Who are the victims on one side and on the other? Poor people who lose their children. None of the people who matter are moving.”

On Monday, Townhall reported:

Greg Price shared a photo of Zelensky touring an ammunition factory, as well as a screenshot of part of an interview that the foreign leader did with The New Yorker

Zelensky and the interviewer were talking about Trump, and comments he’s made about the war in Ukraine, but then Vance also came up. “Apart from Trump’s own reluctance to talk about Ukrainian victory, he has chosen J. D. Vance as his Vice-Presidential candidate,” the interviewer said, which prompted Zelensky to claim Vance “is too radical.” He even cut the interviewer off to continue to take issue with Vance.

Beyond the screenshotted portion, Zelensky also went after to Vance for engaging in what he called “sloganeering.”

“For us, these are dangerous signals, coming as they do from a potential Vice-President,” Zelensky said as part of his response to another question, “What does it mean for Ukraine that people with such ideas and slogans are rising to power?”

Zelensky was flying around the country at taxpayer expense into a swing state. This is foreign election interference. I wish we had some Republicans with spines.

Is This Constitutional? Do We Still Have A Constitution?

On September 21st, Hot Air reported on the first cabinet meeting President Biden has held in almost a year. It was not a normal cabinet meeting.

The article reports:

I suppose this has happened often enough during this administration that we probably shouldn’t be all that shocked, but that doesn’t mean that this behavior should be normalized. As we have noted here multiple times in the past, It’s been almost a year since Joe Biden sat down for a meeting with the members of his cabinet to discuss world affairs and get their agenda in order. That changed yesterday when the first such cabinet meeting in more than eleven months was held at the White House… sort of. A meeting was indeed called to order, but Joe Biden’s entire participation in it was comprised of his introductory remarks where he welcomed the person who would actually be chairing the meeting. That would be his wife, Jill Biden. Dr. Jill wound up doing almost all of the talking while Joe disappeared into the background before departing. This jarring event led many observers to yet again as the same question we’ve been wrestling with all year. Who is actually running the country right now?

Can you imagine the uproar if Melania had held a cabinet meeting?

The article concludes:

No matter what you may have thought of the outcome of the 2020 elections, the fact is that we did hold an election. Not a single person voted for Jill Biden to hold any sort of official office or power over the fundamental operation of our country. And yet she is obviously the person in charge of America’s government today. Are you okay with that? If the elected President is unable to discharge his duties (as clearly seems to be the case) the Founders provided us with various options to ensure the orderly transition of power, with further clarification coming from the addition of the 25th Amendment. It is impossible to imagine the authors of any of those fundamental documents writing, “If that doesn’t work out, don’t worry. There will be another election coming along soon enough. Let’s just hope for the best, shall we?”

As the Post correctly notes, Joe Biden has been officially on vacation for two-thirds of the days of the past month. I specify “officially” because there is typically so little on his schedule each day that it’s difficult to discern which days are vacation days and which are “work days” when he simply does basically nothing. Looking around that room and seeing the collection of DEI appointees for cabinet positions that Biden has assembled, it’s difficult to say who – if anyone – is actually running anything anymore.

They were happy to show up and clap like trained seals for Jill Biden and she seemed to be enjoying the experience fully. How nice for her. Meanwhile, the world is on fire and the Vice President (who should have already replaced Biden under more normal circumstances) is busy campaigning while taking no questions and refusing to discuss her policy plans. This is no way to run an airline, folks. Fasten your seatbelts. We still have several months to go before we can officially say goodbye to Joe Biden and it will probably turn out to be a very rocky ride.

This is no way to run a country.

President Biden and Vice-President Harris visited a firehouse near the site of the crash of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Their visit was followed by a visit from President Trump. It is very obvious who the personnel at the firehouse support. The video posted at X tells the story.

Sometimes The Truth Isn’t Pretty

On Monday, Hot Air posted an article about the internal conflict taking place in Israel about the conduct of the war against Hamas. Obviously, Israelis want the hostages home safely and the war over, but in their quest for peace, many are overlooking the basic character of Hamas. Meanwhile, President Biden is sitting on a beach in Delaware playing armchair quarterback to the Netanyahu government. President Biden has never been a friend of Netanyahu and part of the problem in the war against Hamas–not part of the solution.

The article reports:

Benjamin Netanyahu stuck to his guns in his effort to remove the incentives for hostaging by Hamas. But it got a lot more difficult after the terrorists murdered six of them over the last few days. And even though Netanyahu won this round in his own Cabinet, that victory may not last. Especially not if Joe Biden gets his way.

The fight in the Cabinet came from Defense Secretary Yoav Gallant, an ally-of-sorts for Netanyahu most times, who objects to Netanyahu’s plan to keep control of the Gaza-Egypt border. Netanyahu has made clear that he does not want Hamas to get resupplied or to escape out to the Sinai, especially with the hostages. Gallant considers the policy both unnecessary and provocative, and accused Netanyahu of prioritizing the land over the hostages:

He again turned to the premier and asked: “If Sinwar presents you with the dilemma: Either you leave Philadelphi or you return the hostages, what do you do?”

Netanyahu responded that the imperative to keep the IDF at the corridor was of crucial importance to the state.

Gallant said that was all well and good if it was a decision taking in isolation. But, he asked, “What about when 30 lives are at stake? What do you do?”

The prime minister said: “I stay on the Philadelphi. Only resolute negotiations will force [Sinwar] to fold.”

Netanyahu then demanded an immediate vote on his policy. Only Gallant voted to oppose it, although he grumbled afterward that the Cabinet would eventually come around to his position.

President Biden has stated that he believes Prime Minister Netanyahu is not doing enough to secure the release of the hostages. Somehow I doubt Netanyahu is the problem.

The article concludes:

Ahem. Which side has executed hostages? In fact, which side takes hostages as a war strategy in the first place? And which side started the war on October 7 — while breaking a US-negotiated cease fire?

There was a time when the world knew that harming an American abroad meant dire consequences for the perps. Now Hamas has demonstrated that killing Americans will put them closer to a strategic victory in separating the US from Israel, with no consequences at all from this administration. What kind of incentives do we think this sets for Hezbollah, Iran, and every other terrorist state and non-state terror networks?

It’s one thing for the Israelis to debate cooperation in hostage strategy. It’s another thing entirely for the US to hand Hamas a strategic victory with our own pusillanimity.

The Biden administration is encouraging terrorism.

A Problem With Priorities

On Thursday, CNN reported that the U.S. Army had rebuked President Trump over a  recent incident at Arlington National Cemetery. They might have done well to be quiet considering what they have stirred up. The Army never rebuked anyone for the disastrous planning of the exit from Afghanistan where the thirteen service members were killed. No one was fired or relieved of command. And now they are rebuking a former President because he chose to honor the thirteen. Wow.

The article explains how horrible the families were and how horrible President Trump was. There is nothing in the article paying honor to the thirteen servicemen who were killed.

The families asked President Trump to attend and gave permission for his crew to attend. It was not a campaign event–it is rather routine to record a President visiting Arlington–there are many videos of President Biden visiting the cemetery. This is simply another attack by the left on President Trump. In the mind of many politically left-leaning Americans, President Trump is guilty of breathing while being Trump.

Can you imagine the reporting if the families had asked President Trump to come and he had refused? It doesn’t really matter what the press is outraged about–they just want to be outraged about anything involving President Trump.

Protecting Election Integrity

On Wednesday, Breitbart reported that Texas Governor Greg Abbot has removed more than one million people from the Texas voter rolls. The people who were removed were considered to be ineligible to vote because they had moved, died or were not American citizens.

The article reports:

Newsweek reports the removal of 1.1 million people from the voter rolls, which include those who have moved out of state, are deceased, or aren’t American citizens, came since the signing of Senate Bill 1 (SB 1) into law in September 2021.

At the time, the law was seen as one of several efforts driven by Republican-led states to ensure voter integrity following the 2020 presidential election.

According to Abbott’s office, among the people removed from the Texas voter rolls are over 6,500 noncitizens; over 6,000 voters who have a felony convictions; over 457,000 deceased people; over 463,000 voters on the suspense list and over 134,000 voters who responded to an address confirmation notice that they had moved.

Another 65,000 voters who failed to respond to a notice of examination have been ruled out along with over 19,000 voters who requested to cancel their registration.

The article concludes:

“Voter fraud is real. Especially in Houston,” the governor posted on X. “The court has found that 1,430 illegal votes were cast in the race for the 180th District Court.”

The ruling was sparked by Republican candidate Tami Pierce who filed a legal challenge against the results after narrowly losing to Judge DaSean Jones (D). Jones won by only 449 votes.

There will be serious cheating in the 2024 elections. From what I understand, the Republican party is taking preemptive actions to limit the amount of cheating. The expression “too big to rig” will have real meaning this year. Remember, according to the vote totals, in 2020 President Biden got more votes that President Obama had received after campaigning from his basement.

Politics Makes Strange Bedfellows. Or Does It?

As someone who lived in Massachusetts for 35 years (and Rhode Island for 10), I would like to comment on the addition of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to the Trump team. At first glance, it’s an odd combination, but a closer look reveals that it’s a natural fit. If nothing else, both men have been mocked, maligned, and shoved aside by the media and the deep state. This may be their chance to have the last laugh.

Let me say something about the Kennedy family. There have been a few bad apples (as is the case in most families), but the majority of them have spent much of their time trying to help those less fortunate. After his bout with drugs, Patrick Kennedy started a foundation to oppose the legalization of marijuana (something he regarded as a gateway drug). One of the Kennedys started a program in Massachusetts to provide heating oil for low-income families. Some Kennedys are involved in politics, but many of the family members have been working under the radar to help people who are less fortunate. There are some womanizing issues, but in today’s political world, that’s not even noteworthy.

So what does Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., bring to the party? John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy Senior were old-school Democrats. They represented the working people. John Kennedy lowered taxes significantly. He also supported civil rights–not quotas. Robert Kennedy went after the mob and the corruption in the labor unions. Neither John or Robert Kennedy would be welcomed in today’s Democrat party. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was obviously not welcomed. There are a lot of people today who have been life-long Democrats who do not recognize today’s Democrat party. Because Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., has joined President Trump, these people have a place to go. It is also an unabashed call to unify the country under our basic Constitutional principles.

The Democrats could have had a real primary election. A primary election between President Biden, Vice-President Harris, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., would have allowed to voters to choose the Democrat candidate. Instead, the party chose to hide President Biden’s infirmity from the public (with the help of the Vice-President, the Cabinet, and the news media) and at the last moment install a candidate no one voted for. No wonder Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., chose to support President Trump–his own party treated him very badly.

President Trump and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., are not in agreement about everything, but they are willing to work together on the things they do agree on. That’s an example we all should follow.

Why Would Anyone Want To Prevent This?

On Tuesday, The Federalist posted an article about the Department of Justice wanting to block a law from taking effect in Arizona.

The article reports:

The Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday requested the U.S. Supreme Court “deny” Republicans’ bid to enforce an Arizona law requiring individuals to prove they’re U.S. citizens when registering and voting in elections.

Arguing on behalf of the administration, U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar requested that the nation’s highest court instead allow a lower court decision — one prohibiting the implementation of provisions of the statute in question — to remain in effect for the November election.

The article notes:

As The Federalist previously reported, the 2022 law mandated residents to show documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC) when registering via state voter registration forms. The statute also required such proof for individuals submitting mail-in ballots and voting in presidential contests.

(In Arizona, individuals who do not provide DPOC when registering to vote are permitted to do so as “federal-only voters” and cast ballots in federal elections).

…According to AZ Free News, more than 11,600 individuals voted via “federal-only” ballots during the Grand Canyon State’s 2020 election. That’s larger than Joe Biden’s margin of victory (10,457 votes) over Donald Trump.

The strategy here is very simply. Many illegal aliens are coming across the border with “Biden” t-shirts. It is obvious how they will vote. Every vote case by a person voting illegally cancels out the vote of an American voting legally. Considering the number of people who have crossed our borders since President Biden took office, it would be very easy for the votes of illegal aliens to overpower the votes of American citizens.

Let’s Get The Facts Right

President Biden claimed on Monday night that more children die from guns than any other cause. Let’s look at the numbers.

Snopes states:

An analysis from the Kaiser Family Foundation, a research nonprofit, that relied on 2020 data compiled by the CDC found that firearms were the No. 1 cause of death for children and teens in the U.S. Those deaths included accidents, suicides, and homicides. The analysis found that in 2020 alone, gun-related violence killed 4,357 children (ages 1-19 years old) in the U.S. By comparison, motor-vehicle deaths accounted for 4,112 deaths in that age range.

By comparison, in 2020, Guttmacher Institute, a research group that supports abortion rights, counted more than 930,000 abortions in the U.S. in 2020.

I don’t think guns are the biggest threat children face.

Sometimes It’s Not What You Say–It’s What You Leave Out

On Monday, Breitbart posted an article about the official platform of the Democrat party to be voted on during the Democrat Convention in Chicago.

The article reports:

…it calls for reelecting President Joe Biden, who was still the candidate at the time the document was finalized in mid-July.

“President Biden, Vice President Harris, and Democrats are running to finish the job,” it says.

Read the full, 91-page document here.

The platform begins with a “land acknowledgment,” declaring that the convention is being held on lands once belonging to Native Americans. This is a left-wing practice that, the Wall Street Journal noted last weekend, is central to the ideology behind campus anti-Israel protests — the claim that the United States and Israel are guilty of “settler colonialism.” This also “means rejecting the understanding of American history that has been mainstream since the mid-20th century—that it is a story of slow progress toward fulfilling the nation’s founding promise of freedom for all,” the Journal notes.

The Democratic platform claims Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have achieved enormous progress for Americans, and that Donald Trump “is rigging our economy for his Mar-a-Lago friends and billionaire donors, who like him, are only in it for themselves.”

Just for the record, in January 2022, The Wall Street Journal reported, “One of the most underreported stories of the Trump presidency is the extent to which black economic fortunes improved.” How has the Biden administration impacted black economic fortunes?

The article at Breitbart notes:

The platform makes a number of misleading claims, including the claim that the U.S. is “finally rebuilding … broadband” as part of the administration’s investment in infrastructure. Despite a $42.5 billion fund for expanding broadband under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which Harris was meant to supervise, not one new connection has been built.

…Among other highlights, the platform defends surgery and drug treatments for “transgender youth,” without specifying the age at which children should be provided such surgeries. “Democrats will vigorously oppose state and federal bans on gender-affirming health care,” it says. It does not mention the issue of transgender sports, and the question of biological males participating in women’s sporting activities.

The platform repeats the “very fine people” hoax — the false claim that Trump praised neo-Nazis in Charlottesville in 2017, when in fact he said they should be “totally” condemned.

On migration and the border, the platform claims: “President Biden has led with the conviction that we must secure our border and fix a broken immigration system decades in the making.” The platform blames Republicans in Congress for rejecting Biden’s proposed immigration legislation, which would legalize current migrant flows at massive levels.

The article concludes:

The platform also boasts that “President Biden ended America’s longest war, bringing our troops home from Afghanistan,” without mentioning the disaster than ensued, including the death of 13 American troops in a terror attack during the haphazard evacuation of Kabul.

Do we really want four more years of this?

Where Was This Information In 2020?

On Wednesday, Scott Johnson at Power Line Blog posted an article about The New York Times’ reporting about Hunter Biden’s efforts in landing a Burisma deal.

The article reports:

Ken Vogel reports in the New York Times that “Hunter Biden Sought State Department Help for Ukrainian Company.” Subhead: “After President Biden dropped his re-election bid, his administration released records showing that while he was vice president, his son solicited U.S. government assistance.” The New York Post has an accessible account of Vogel’s story by Victor Nava in “Hunter Biden asked US embassy in Italy for help landing Burisma deal while Joe was VP.”

It’s interesting to see the lengths to which the government went to protect President Biden from the story. The Times had to bring a FOIA lawsuit to obtain the documents it suspected had been withheld from an earlier production. Vogel seems to be afraid that Republicans will “pounce” on this element of his story:

The Times challenged the thoroughness of the [State Department FOIA] search, noting that the department had failed to produce responsive records contained in a cache of files connected to a laptop that Mr. Biden had abandoned at a Delaware repair shop. The department resumed the search and periodic productions, but had produced few documents related to Mr. Biden until the week after his father ended his re-election campaign and endorsed Vice President Harris for the Democratic nomination.

The article concludes:

The more apt headline for Vogel’s story in the Times would be Now it can be told! I would like to say that Miranda Devine apparently could not be reached by Vogel for comment. On X, Devine drily observes of Vogel’s story “[t]his might all come as a surprise to @nytimes readers but @nypost readers have known the score for four years.”

Rush Limbaugh used to talk about low-information voters. Now we have voters who read the New York Times who are uninformed and often misinformed.
