When The Loyal Opposition Is Not Loyal

On Friday, The Federalist posted an article about one very specific thing the intelligence community did in their attempt to derail the first Trump administration.

The article reports:

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has released two emails that are significant not only for their content but for their timing, coming just two days before the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska. The emails reveal that in late 2016, then-DNI James Clapper pushed the fraudulent narrative that Russia had hacked the Democratic National Committee (DNC), overriding pointed objections from then-National Security Agency chief Admiral Mike Rogers.

The timing matters because this very narrative — the claim that Russia had hacked the DNC to help President Trump — was used to sabotage the 2018 Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki. Just three days before that meeting, Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian nationals on charges of hacking the DNC. The indictment was designed to create political chaos. Mueller knew that the 12 Russians were located in Russia and would never stand trial, meaning he would never need to prove the case. The result of the indictments was exactly what Mueller, his team, and any yet-to-be-identified co-conspirators intended: to sabotage the summit and effectively criminalize diplomacy with Russia.

We all remember Helsinki, where, at the joint press conference standing next to President Putin, Trump addressed the alleged hacking directly:

“You have groups that are wondering why the FBI never took the server. Why haven’t they taken the server? Why was the FBI told to leave the office of the Democratic National Committee?”

What Trump meant was that no one could know what had happened because the key evidence — the DNC server — had never been examined by the FBI or any other U.S. government agency. Trump also noted that Putin had personally assured him, “It’s not Russia.” He then added his own assessment: “I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be [Russia].”

It has never been proven that the Russians hacked the DNC server. People who know such things point to an inside job, possibly with a memory stick. There is also speculation that there is a link between the leaked information from the DNC server and the death of Seth Rich, but so far there has not been any concrete evidence of that link.

What A Difference Leadership Makes

Do you suppose that one day Americans will be able to walk down the streets of Washington, D.C., safely, day or night? We seem to be aiming for that goal.

On Wednesday, Fox News reported:

Law enforcement officials in Washington, D.C., have arrested more than 100 people since Aug. 7, Fox Digital has learned, as President Donald Trump cracks down on crime in the city. 

Law enforcement officials have arrested a total of 103 individuals as of Wednesday morning since Aug. 7, which includes 43 who were arrested Tuesday, a White House official told Fox Digital Wednesday morning. The arrests are part of Trump’s March executive order, which established the Making DC Safe and Beautiful Task Force, ahead of Trump’s Monday announcement federalizing the D.C. police department. 

“President Trump’s bold leadership is quickly making our nation’s capital safer,” White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers told Fox Digital. “In less than one week, over 100 violent criminals have already been arrested and taken off of the streets in Washington, D.C. President Trump is delivering on his campaign promise to clean up this city and restore American Greatness to our cherished capital.” 

The article notes:

Tuesday’s sweep of the city included 1,450 law enforcement participants, according to the White House, including roughly 30 National Guard troops and 750 uniformed D.C. police officers. 

Tuesday’s arrests included: one arrested on suspected homicide, seven related to narcotics charges, 33 for alleged firearm offenses, 10 related to warrants, as well as the arrests of 23 illegal immigrants. Law enforcement recovered a total of 24 firearms on Tuesday, according to the White House. 

The first phase of the crime crackdown Monday resulted in 23 arrests, FBI Director Kash Patel revealed on X Tuesday. 

It should be noted that Washington, D. C., has very strict gun laws and numerous gun-free zones. Obviously they are not working.

There Are Many Ways To Influence An Election

There are many ways to influence an election. One way is to limit the amount of money paid to a political party or candidate. Another way is to make sure a political party has plenty of money to spread around. It is not a coincidence that the massive cut to the funding of The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has resulted in a shortage of funds at the Democrat party. The money given to the non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) somehow had a way of winding up in groups that supported causes friendly to Democrats. Supposedly non-political organizations can also play a role in how much money a political party has to spend.

On Thursday, Townhall reported:

A political consulting firm, Targeted Victory, claims Gmail has been flagging Republican fundraising emails containing WinRed links as “dangerous” and sending many straight to spam folders. WinRed, the GOP’s central online fundraising platform, brought in roughly $1.6 billion for the 2023–2024 cycle. Its Democratic counterpart, ActBlue, appears to face no such labeling, with emails containing its links going through unimpeded.

The article concludes:

While Targeted Victory was the first to experience the problem, they said the “issue is occurring across vendors’ campaigns and personal Gmail accounts, eliminating the possibility of it being a Targeted Victory-specific or network issue.”

If accurate, this goes beyond a simple technical hiccup; it affects the flow of political funding and the effectiveness of campaigns. In an environment where small-dollar donations drive those campaigns, filtering one party’s platform while clearing its rival’s creates a built-in advantage with real electoral consequences. Something the GOP cannot afford in the upcoming midterm elections.

As more Americans become aware of some of the questionable activities of the Democrat party, I suspect the Republicans will be okay in the midterms.

When You Have Friends In High Places

Anyone other than Hillary Clinton would have gone to jail for a secret, unsecured server containing classified information, but Hillary Clinton was never prosecuted. We all sort of knew why. Now we know for sure.

On Wednesday, Just the News posted the following headline:

‘Shut it down’: Bombshell FBI timeline exposes political interference in Clinton corruption probe

The article reports:

FBI Director Kash Patel has uncovered a bombshell memo written in 2017 chronicling the extensive political obstruction that career agents in three cities faced from their own bosses and the Obama Justice Department during the 2016 election as they probed whether Hillary Clinton engaged in a pay-to-play corruption scheme involving her family foundation.

“Shut it down!” then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates is quoted as demanding in the detailed timeline of political impediments that agents in New York City, Little Rock, Ark., and Washington D.C. reported. 

The agents tried to get the help of federal prosecutors to determine whether or what crimes occurred while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State, most notably, because at that time, her family foundation solicited hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign and U.S. interests with business before her department.

The timeline — written by a DOJ lawyer assigned to the FBI under former bureau Director James Comey — was recently secured by top aides to Patel along with several corroborating internal emails and was obtained by Just the News. Together, they make clear that both the DOJ and former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe placed significant impediments in front of agents who believed they had evidence to justify a public integrity criminal case.

The article concludes:

The differences in how the Justice Department and FBI handled cases related to Clinton and Trump were stark — publicly exonerating Clinton for her mishandling of classified information when using a private email server as secretary of state and not even allowing the Clinton Foundation investigation to get off the ground, while launching a sprawling and baseless Russia collusion inquiry into the Trump campaign and the candidate (and then the president) himself.

Special Counsel John Durham later pointed out that “the immediate opening of Crossfire Hurricane as a full investigation contrasts with the care taken in connection with the investigation of the Clinton Foundation and other matters.”

A lot of Americans are waiting for perp walks. I am considering joining that group.

The Quiet Heroes In The Russia Collusion Hoax

There were a number of heroes in the Russian Collusion Hoax. One obvious hero was the person who saved the classified information in the burn bags. But there was another quiet hero within the intelligence community. Sometimes you have to let bad things go on around you while you quietly take action to mute their impact. That’s what then NSA Director Mike Rogers did. According to The Conservative Treehouse, Admiral Mike Rogers traveled to Trump Tower (after the election) on November 17th without notifying the White House or Clapper.  The next day, November 18th, President-Elect Trump moved the entire Transition Team to his New Jersey country club.  Mike Rogers remains the current head of the NSA.

On Wednesday, The Conservative Treehouse reported:

Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper was always a doofus, sticking his foot in his mouth about all kinds of Intelligence Community stuff. It was his doofusness that led to President Obama keeping him as DNI, while the rest of the IC worked around him (a little funny at the time).

Today, current Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, declassified and released the content of an email exchange between then NSA Director Mike Rogers and DNI Clapper about the bogus nature of the rushed December 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment, that Obama wanted to help frame the Trump-Russia story.

Adm Mike Rogers is telling James Clapper his NSA team was not comfy with manufacturing and spinning intelligence for a political hit job on the incoming administration. Clapper responds to Rogers telling him to get on board, because this level of IC fabrication requires all key elements to be on the same page. Clapper saying the Russian stuff, “is our story, and we’re sticking to it.”

The article notes:

There’s a reasonable case to be made that all of those previous political players have quite a bit to hide within the construct of the entire narrative. Some like James Comey, and possibly Susan Rice, appear to have violated laws on leaking information and unmasking U.S. citizens within intelligence reports.

Former CIA Director John Brennan has clearly established his own exit from the risk matrix.  While former ODNI James Clapper is almost too inept to be held accountable for any of it.

It would be disingenuous in the extreme to ignore that NSA Director Mike Rogers was the least willing and least engaged intelligence leader within the scheme and simultaneously highly political ODNI James Clapper was calling for him to be fired.

A Hate Group?

On Tuesday, Hot Air posted an article about the group Moms for Liberty. The group was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when schools remained closed and required students to wear face masks late into 2020 and 2021, and when remote learning allowed parents to see what the schools had been teaching their children.

The article reports:

Is Moms for Liberty a “hate group” on the order of the KKK?

The Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee thinks so. Not even the infamously anti-sanity NGO, the Southern Poverty Law Center, which never saw a conservative-leaning group it didn’t despise, has gone so far as to label Moms for Liberty a hate group, although they do call them “extremist.”

…When even the SPLC can’t conjure up enough evidence to indict you as a hate group, your worst crime is loving puppies and kittens. After all, PragerU and Focus on the Family make it into the hate group category. 

Yet police officers in Massachusetts are told to be on the lookout for moms who don’t like drag queens fondling their kindergarten children. They may be armed and dangerous. 

…Moms for Liberty’s crimes? Asserting their Constitutionally protected rights. Seriously. And the police training center cites this as proof that they are anti-government, because sitting down, shutting up, and doing what you are told by insane government officials is every citizen’s duty. 

The article concludes:

Now, Moms for Liberty supporters have to worry that every police officer in Massachusetts has been trained to look at them as dangerous extremists. This is not just insulting–it is physically dangerous to them. When police officers are put on heightened alert, bad things can happen to the targets.

In Massachusetts, under Maura Healey’s leadership, the Municipal Police Training Committee isn’t backing down. They have fired a shot across the bow, and the next shot may be literal and aimed at a mom or dad just trying to get their kid a decent education.

The goal is obvious: create a climate of fear that forces opponents of the leftist agenda to remain silent and submit. With the censorship complex under attack by Donald Trump, Blue cities and states are using even more repressive tactics to shut people up.

When my children were in school back in the age of dinosaurs, teachers welcomed parental involvement. Now it is seen as a threat. Parents need to know what their children are learning, and parents need to be involved in their local schools.

Aiding Terrorists

On Wednesday, The New York Post posted an article about a film that was removed from the Toronto Film Festival.

The article reports:

A new documentary about the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel by Hamas has been booted from the Toronto International Film Festival — because organizers insist the filmmakers need the rights from the terrorist group to use their horrific footage of the massacre.

The festival claims the movie, called “The Road Between Us: The Ultimate Rescue,” did not meet certain requirements to screen at the prestigious September event, widely attended by Hollywood stars and bigwigs, including not securing so-called “legal clearance” to use Hamas’ livestreamed video of the rape, murder and kidnapping of Jews.

The stunned filmmakers, including Canadian director Barry Avrich, slammed the decision, telling Deadline that TIFF has “defied its mission and censored its own programming by refusing this film.”

Avrich declined to comment further.

“The Road Between Us” tells the story of retired Israel Defense Forces General Noam Tibon, who set out to save his family and others during Hamas’ deadly attack, in which 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage.

It includes widely seen videos taken by the terrorists of their murders of Israelis at the Nova music festival and in nearby communities.

While TIFF alleges they required permission from Hamas to use the footage, the documentary’s line producer, Talia Harris Ram, told the Times of Israel that their rationale was ridiculous.

The article includes pictures from the October 7th terrorist attack. Showing this film would remind people why Israel is attacking Gaza. Israel is trying to rescue any remaining hostages and also trying to insure that an October 7th attack never occurs again. As long as Hamas is allowed to exist in an area next to Israel, there will be a risk of another October 7th attack. The Hamas members who attacked Israel were the same people Israel routinely allowed into Israel on work permits because they could not find work in Gaza. When Israel left Gaza in 2005, Gaza quickly became a terrorist state. They dismantled the greenhouses that had provided income and jobs for the people of Gaza and used the water pipes to make rockets. What happened in Gaza after 2005 made it clear that a Palestinian state would have as its purpose the destruction of Israel. That is still part of the Hamas Charter.

Refusing to show a film that documents the truth is supporting a false narrative.

A Lawsuit I Can Get Behind

We all remember the execution of Peanut the Squirrel and his housemate, Fred the Raccoon by the State of New York. The execution was on shaky grounds at best, and seemed very cruel. Well, Mark Longo and his girlfriend Daniela Bittner have decided to take legal action against the State of New York.

On Monday, Red State reported:

During the 2024 presidential campaign, one story really seemed to hit home about government outreach, and that was of Peanut the Squirrel (also known as P’Nut) and his furry friend, Fred the Raccoon. The animals were rescued by Mark Longo and his girlfriend Daniela Bittner, where two little guys lived happily at his Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary. P’Nut was even famous for numerous videos of his antics going viral.

That was until October 30, when the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation decided to raid the sanctuary, take Peanut and Fred, and promptly kill them. At the time, authorities alleged that the squirrel had bitten one of the DEC officials. Due to a rabies risk, both pets had to be decapitated and tested for rabies. 

On Monday, the New York Post reported that Longo and Bittner are now seeking justice for their late little fury friends, suing the state of New York. According to a lawsuit filed in the New York Court of Claims, the grieving couple is seeking $10 million after the state seized and euthanized Peanut and Fred. Subsequently, after the animals were dead and tested, the results came back negative.

The article notes:

The report read:

The killing of P’Nut and Fred was “not due to a fear of rabies” – but a “senseless act of violence” and “obscene demonstration of government abuse,” charge the new court documents, which list the state, the DEC and DOH as defendants. 

The allegations echo those outlined in a separate lawsuit filed by Longo and Bittner on June 27 in Chemung County Supreme Court, against the county, the City of Elmira and 36 individuals from every level of local and state government. 

That suit sought unspecified damages to be determined by a jury trial.

This was clearly a case of government overreach. Unfortunately, it will be the New York taxpayers who have to pay, but they are the people who elected their leaders.

The View From The Lair

Burn Bags

By now everyone who actually keeps up with the real news is familiar with the revelation of the FBI burn bag discovery. Director Patel “found” a “hidden” closet full of evidence of the conspiracy to deny PDJT of both his election and the ability to function during his first term. Destruction of evidence is itself a crime. Who ordered it? Who is the hero of the Republic that refused to burn the evidence?

What few excerpts from the lamestream news that have been inflicted upon me seem to report is mainly gaslighting as to the importance of the evidence and a return to this being a continuing effort to deny the conspiracy in the first place.

A few have denied that this is a “smoking gun.” This isn’t a “smoking gun,” it is a conflagration in an arsenal. The only thing left to be included is video tape of the whole pack of cockroaches laughing and discussing what they are doing.

All of the expected participants are documented, even Barry Obozo. The only sad part is that it will be difficult to indict Obozo. But the rest are fair game, including Pencil-Neck Schiff. Apparently, a few have figured it out and are lawyering up. Smart move.

Someone – yet to be revealed – realized that felonies were being committed at the highest level. And like “Deep Throat” during the Watergate debacle, he or she decided that the Constitution and the Law were actually put in place to either prevent or prosecute such actions.

PDJT describes this plot to be treasonous. I concur. Watergate was a coverup of a penny ante burglary. This is the attempt to coverup deliberate evidence tampering – Shillery’s emails plus an attempt to invalidate a national election, as well as disrupting the entire efforts of a duly elected president.

Watergate was spiking the punch at a Baptist wedding. This is a political 911. While the just desserts are being served to the miscreants involved, it does provide a tasty treat for those who have been anxiously awaiting this process.

Prison time is certainly justified for all of the players. Can treason actually be proved? Since this is being started in a south Florida jurisdiction, it has a much better chance than if it were to be played out in DC. Treason is serious. The previous DOJ would likely have taken a charge of treason and negotiated it down to jaywalking. But this DOJ is more likely to deliver perp walking instead. (Yes, I’m giddy at the prospect!)

The difficulty in indicting Obozo is that he was in office at the time. Was conspiring to commit treason a valid duty of the president? I expect that he would say yes. A difficult decision for someone. And yes, I’ve made up my mind. A decade or two in Leavenworth seems appropriate.

So, if he can’t be indicted for his crimes what might be his just desserts? IF the Republicans in Congress have the cojones – and that is a BIG IF – he can be subpoenaed to appear before a congressional committee and required to address the evidence. He can’t be forced to testify but watching him plead the fifth over and over will still be entertaining. Presenting page after page of incriminating evidence while he squirms might be all we can expect. But that will provide ample entertainment for some. (I wonder if this will wipe the smirk off of Peter Strzok’s face?)

But what it can do is to reveal to the world the real legacy of Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Obama. A lying, conniving, conspiring, treasonous Marxist who would gladly commit major felonies to keep the Marxist party in power.

As for his legacy – light it up.

The Snark

The Long-Term Hidden Impact Of Covid

The two-week shutdown probably did nothing to ‘flatten the curve.’ It did, however, flatten the economy and end the beginning of an economic boom. I suspect that there may have been some nefarious people who were planning that result. Unfortunately, there may be some nefarious people currently working in Washington to repeat that template. However, in my opinion, the economic impact of Covid will not be as lasting as some of its sociological effects.

Before Covid, investing in office space was a relatively safe bet. Workers were in their offices almost every day, and there was a comradery among workers. School children were in their classrooms daily, learning social skills and forming friendships. After Covid, when the children returned to school to a very different environment. Kindergarten children missed nearly a year of social development. When they got to school, their learning was further impacted by having to wear masks. Not only was this practice questionable for young children who might not be able to keep a mask clean for the entire school day, it also hindered their ability to read social cues in their teachers’ expressions.

High school students were denied certain rites of passage, milestones in life–class trips, proms, competitive sports, awards ceremonies and graduation ceremonies.

So what was the social impact?

Elementary school children lost a year (at least) of social development. The young adults who were in high school at that time (a generation that was already leaning toward texting rather than actual conversation) grew accustomed to socialization through electronics rather than in person. The comradery in a office that comes from shared purpose and shared experiences was lost.

Can we regain any of our losses? Yes. We have already begun. As office workers return to their office, the team spirit will again emerge. As companies realize the value of having people physically present in the office, commercial real estate will rebound, and interaction between company employees will return.

Our plans to combat Covid failed on many levels. However, they provide a blueprint of what not to do in the case of a future epidemic.

Why Americans Are Misinformed

On a recent weekend getaway, I was in my hotel room watching the national news as reported by the mainstream media.There were two stories reported during the time I was watching. Both stories contained information that is easily proven to be false. The following is only one example of fake news.

The first story was about President Trump bringing in the National Guard to help fight crime in Washington, D.C. The mainstream media I was watching accused President Trump of ‘federal overreach.’ ‘Federal overreach’ seemed to be the word of the day in most of the mainstream media I checked out.

According to the Associated Press:

Section 740 of the Home Rule Act allows for the president to take over Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department for 48 hours, with possible extensions to 30 days, during times of emergencies. No president has done so before, said Monica Hopkins, executive director of the ACLU of Washington.

The other mainstream media charge is that President Trump is calling up the National Guard now when he failed to call them up to protect the Capitol on January 6th.

NewsMax reports:

Former Capitol Hill Police Chief Steven Sund on Monday blasted former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., over what he called her dishonesty about blocking approval of the deployment of the National Guard to quell the Jan. 6, 2021, riot.

In a post on X, Sund took umbrage with her missive about President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Washington with her claim that he “delayed deploying” the Guard on Jan. 6.

Sund pushed back regarding Pelosi’s statements.

“Ma’am, it is long past time to be honest with the American people. On January 3, I requested National Guard assistance, but your Sergeant at Arms denied it. Under federal law (2 U.S.C. §1970), I was prohibited from calling them in without specific approval. That same day, Carol Corbin at the Pentagon offered National Guard support, but I was forced to decline because I lacked the legal authority. On January 6, while the Capitol was under attack and despite my repeated calls, your Sergeant at Arms again denied my urgent requests for over 70 agonizing minutes, ‘running it up the chain’ for your approval,” Sund said in his post.

That is just one example of the mainstream media omitting important information or twisting the information that they have in order to mislead the public.

When The Facts Disprove The Narrative

When President Trump took office, he instituted policies to level the playing field in trading between America and other countries. The tariff system that was in Place when President Trump took office was not beneficial to America. The mainstream media immediately began clutching their pearls and claiming that the tariffs were going to send inflation through the roof. Funny, they never said much about inflation going through the roof when President Biden was in office.

On August 17, Zero Hedge reported the following:

Update (1020ET): President Trump rage-posted about the lack of inflation amid all the tariff-fearmongering…

“Trillions of Dollars are being taken in on Tariffs, which has been incredible for our Country, its Stock Market, its General Wealth, and just about everything else.

It has been proven, that even at this late stage, Tariffs have not caused Inflation, or any other problems for Country, other than massive amounts of CASH pouring into our Treasury’s coffers.

Also, it has been shown that, for the most part, Consumers aren’t even paying these Tariffs, it is mostly Companies and Governments, many of them Foreign, picking up the tabs. “

Then took direct aim at Goldman Sachs:

“But David Solomon and Goldman Sachs refuse to give credit where credit is due.

They made a bad prediction a long time ago on both the Market repercussion and the Tariffs themselves, and they were wrong, just like they are wrong about so much else.

I think that David should go out and get himself a new Economist or, maybe, he ought to just focus on being a DJ, and not bother running a major Financial Institution.”

The North Carolina Senate Race

I love President Trump, but I am not convinced he truly understands North Carolina politics. He has thrown his support behind Michael Whatley in the 2026 North Carolina Senate race. I firmly believe that choice does not line up with the wishes of the average Republican in North Carolina. There is another Republican candidate in the race that I believe would better represent the views of the average North Carolinian–Don Brown.

On Monday, The Daily Haymaker reported:

A lot of folks are fast-forwarding this US Senate campaign to November 2026. Many folks are saying: “Hey, Whatley is the man.  Trump has blessed him. Bring on Cooper.”

Lest we forget that there is a Republican primary in March.  Mike Whatley – a native of Watauga County and current resident of Gaston County – will face off against Washington County native and current Union County resident Don Brown. 

Michael Whatley has been groomed and well-taken care of by the Thom Tillis political operation and the rest of the NCGOPe.  He managed to get himself hired as the General Counsel of The Republican National Committee despite having an inactive law license for over six years. 

Meanwhile, Whatley’s opponent in the March primary, Don Brown, has been putting his law license to good use. The UNC-Chapel Hill and Campbell Law grad served as an active-duty member of the Navy’s JAG Corps – made famous by a long-running hit TV show. Brown also served as a special assistant US attorney before moving on to work for Raleigh’s Maupin Taylor Ellis & Adams.  (Firm partner Tom Ellis gained fame as a senior adviser to the late US Senator Jesse Helms.)

Michael Whatley is part of the political machine that gave us Thom Tillis. He is President Trump’s choice, but President Trump will only be in office for three more years. I would rather have a Senator that represents the grass roots than one who is appointed by someone who does not live in the state.

A Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing

The 2026 North Carolina Senate race is going to be expensive, dirty, full of lies, and contentious. Other than that, it will be great. Among other things, the North Carolina Republican Party wants to make sure that former Governor Roy Cooper runs on his record. That record is questionable at best–he is not the moderate he claims to be.

On Sunday, The Gateway Pundit reported:

A video from the North Carolina Republican Party is shedding light on the troubling tenure of outgoing Governor Roy Cooper, who recently announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate, exposing a record of radical policies and governance failures that have left the state grappling with economic and social issues.

Cooper is running for the Senate seat being vacated by Republican Sen. Thom Tillis, who has announced that he will not seek reelection.

The video outlines several key criticisms of Cooper’s administration.

I believe that Michael Whatley has announced. Attorney Don Brown has also announced that he is running for Thom Tillis’ Senate Seat as a Republican.

Rejecting Peace

On Saturday, Breitbart reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he will not cede any land in a peace deal.

Ukraine won’t give up land to Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky warned early on Saturday, hours after Washington and Moscow agreed to hold a summit in a bid to end the war.

Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will meet in the far-north US state of Alaska, near Russia, on August 15, to try to resolve the three-year conflict, despite multiple warnings from Ukraine and Europe that Kyiv must be part of the negotiations.

Announcing the summit on Friday, Trump said that “there’ll be some swapping of territories to the betterment of both” Ukraine and Russia, without providing further details.

“Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier,” Zelensky said on social media hours later.

“Any decisions against us, any decisions without Ukraine, are also decisions against peace. They will achieve nothing,” he said, adding that the war “cannot be ended without us, without Ukraine”.

Three rounds of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine this year have failed to bear fruit, and it remains unclear whether a summit would bring peace any closer.

So who wins as the war continues? As long as there is no actual accounting for the money being funneled into Ukraine by America and other countries, there will be corruption. As long as weapons are being funneled into Ukraine by America and other countries, the military-industrial complex will be funded and defense stock prices and earnings will grow. This is the nightmare President Eisenhower warned us about.

I don’t want to see the country of Ukraine totally taken over by Russia, but if a peace treaty is not signed, that will eventually happen. It may happen anyway. President Zelensky needs to wake up and smell the coffee. His corruption will not be allowed to continue indefinitely, and now is the time to make peace.

Lying To An Unsuspecting Public

It’s not news that the mainstream media lies, but sometimes the lies are so trivial and so stupid it’s unbelievable.

On Sunday, Jonathan Turley posted an article about the latest lie.

The article reports:

The media and various liberal pundits are again shrugging this week after the exposure of another false story targeting a conservative or Republican. In this case, Vice President JD Vance was criticized for ordering the raising of the river near his Ohio home to improve his family’s canoeing experience. First appearing in The Guardian, the story took off in the media and was featured on shows like The Colbert Show when Stephen Colbert mocked “insane spoiled baby emperor move.” The problem is that it was entirely untrue. The Secret Service raised the river for security reasons with no contact with the Vice President or his family.

The hit piece was curious because The Guardian admitted that it could not confirm the allegation. Nevertheless, it breathlessly reported  on “Canoe-Gate” with the headline, “JD Vance’s team had water level of the river raised for family’s boating trip.”In the article by Guardian writers Stephanie Kirchgaessner and David Smith, the outlet’s writers suggested that the water-raising was done for recreational reasons, stating “one source with knowledge of the matter who communicated with the Guardian anonymously alleged that the outflow request for the Caesar Creek Lake was not just to support the vice-president’s Secret Service detail, but also to create ‘ideal kayaking conditions.’” They then added, “The Guardian could not independently confirm this specific claim.”

Hmmm, that “specific claim” is the entire story.

It doesn’t matter if the story is true or if it is confirmed, the name of the game is to print any story that is negative about anyone in the Trump administration.

The article concludes:

It does not matter that the statement is false. This is not the type of disinformation, misinformation, or malinformation that the left felt justified censorship. When Clinton went to Europe to demand that it force the censorship of fellow Americans (after Musk bought Twitter), she clearly was not speaking of Democratic disinformation which is done with the best of motivations.

The same is true with “Canoe-gate.” It does not matter that The Guardian could not confirm the allegation or that it was false that Vance ordered the raising of the river. This is good disinformation to help democracy. For these figures and outlets, the important thing is that the media is still paddling in the same direction, even if it is against the factual current.

That’s where we are, folks.

Why President Trump Is Asking For A New Census

On Thursday, The Federalist posted an article explaining the need for a new census and the reason President Trump is asking that it be done before the mid-term elections.

The article reports:

President Donald Trump announced Thursday he instructed the Commerce Department to begin working on a census that does not include illegal aliens. It’s a long-overdue correction to a system that Democrats have exploited for years to tip the balance of power in Washington.

“I have instructed our Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate CENSUS based on modern day facts and figures and, importantly, using the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024. People who are in our country illegally WILL NOT BE COUNTED IN THE CENSUS. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump said.

Trump previously signed a memo in 2020 that barred illegal aliens from being counted in the census. The memo was challenged and made its way to the Supreme Court, which ultimately did not rule on the merits as to whether all residents — regardless of their legal status — must be counted and if the president has the authority to exclude nonresidents.

The high court however did rule in the 1976 decision Mathews v. Diaz, a case regarding the Social Security Act, that while illegal immigrants are entitled to due process protections under the Fifth and 14th Amendments, they are not entitled to the benefits of citizenship. 

The article concludes:

NBC News’ Alexandra Marquez says not counting illegal aliens would be “contrary to the Constitution.”

But that is a suspect conclusion drawn by the propaganda press. The Framers likely would not support the position that illegal aliens who invaded the nation should be counted in apportionment to determine representation. In fact, prior to the ratification of the Constitution, most northern states advocated for no slaves to be counted in the apportionment proceedings so that slaveholding states, some of which had slave populations as high as 43 percent of their total residents, would not have an unfair amount of representation compared to their actual voting weight.

Yet, we’re supposed to believe Axios, NBC News, and NPR that illegal aliens would have been counted in the census?

Counting illegal alien in the census skews congressional apportionment and the electoral college — and the American citizen pays the price in diluted representation and misallocated resources.

I would like to see some of the people who support rights reserved for American citizens being bestowed on illegal aliens go to another country and try to claim the rights of that country’s citizens. It would be interesting to see what happens next.

There Is Actually A Legal Precedent

The ruckus in Texas over redistricting has been entertaining to watch. The last I heard, the Democrat Texas representatives were up in Chicago being tourists. Obviously, this could change quickly. It is interesting that there is a historical precedent for what the Democrats have done and how it should be handled.

On Thursday, The American Thinker reported:

In 1787, the fledgling United States teetered on the brink of collapse under the feeble Articles of Confederation. Today’s Texas Democrats are doing the same, undermining the democratic process by refusing to face a vote they know they’ll lose. Their flight is a tantrum, not a strategy — a weak attempt to subvert the will of Texans who elected a Republican majority to draw fair maps. Abbott’s threats of arrest and seat vacancies mirror Barry’s no-nonsense tactics, proving that sometimes a heavy hand is needed to keep democracy on track. Just as Barry’s sailors didn’t coddle the runaways, Abbott shouldn’t hesitate to drag these lawmakers back, metaphorically or otherwise, to do their damn job.

Putting The Blame Where It Belongs

On Saturday, The Daily Caller posted an article about the problem of rising energy prices under President Trump. As the expression goes, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” President Trump has been in office for less than six months, he is still dealing with the multi-dimensional mess he walked into.

The article reports:

The corporate media is suggesting that President Donald Trump and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) are responsible for rising electricity prices rather than the aggressive green energy policies of Democrats and former President Joe Biden, who himself presided over a major spike in prices.

Several major corporate media outlets have linked Trump’s OBBBA to climbing energy prices, despite data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showing that electricity bills were already on the rise, shooting up during the middle of the Biden administration. Energy experts, grid watchdogs and operators have long warned that the Biden-era green energy push threatens grid security and drives up electricity costs, as power demand also surges from the booming artificial intelligence (AI) sector.

“Electricity prices have been increasing since the grid became burdened with unreliable and expensive wind and solar. The problem has recently worsened as electricity demand has increased because of the explosion in AI-driven data center energy needs that wind and solar just can’t meet,” Steve Milloy, senior policy fellow at the Energy and Environment Legal Institute, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Demand will likely continue to increase and will only be satisfied by more fossil fuel and nuclear baseload power. The BBB will make more baseload power possible by discouraging utilities from adding more unreliable and pointlessly expensive wind and solar.”

The article concludes:

“Democrats committed arson on electricity prices and now they have the nerve to accuse Trump of playing with matches. In Trump’s first term, electricity prices rose by less than 1% per year. Under Biden, electricity prices rose 22%. I think the American people will trust President Trump’s energy policies more than hypocritical Democrat finger-pointing,” James Taylor, president of The Heartland Institute and the founding director of Heartland’s Arthur B. Robinson Center for Climate and Environmental Policy, told the DCNF.

The Department of Energy (DOE) warned in its July 7 report that blackouts could increase by a factor of 100 by 2030 if the U.S. keeps retiring power plants without adequate replacements, the grid will be unable to meet the soaring demand from energy-hungry data centers in the coming years. It continued to single out wind and solar as key contributors to declining grid stability and argued that dispatchable generation from sources like coal, oil, gas and nuclear are vital to meet American power needs.

Like it or not, the economy and infrastructure of the globe runs on fossil fuel. Until the free market invents something considerably more reliable and ecologically sound from start to finish, our reliance on fossil fuel will continue. Wind and solar at this time are simply not practical.

Doesn’t Anyone Remember That Israel Was The One Attacked?

Almost two years ago, Israel was brutally attached by its neighbors living in the Gaza Strip. In 2005, Israel left the Gaza Strip, forcibly removing the Jews that lived there, and fully turning the area over to its Arab residents.  They allowed the residents to work in Israel if they could not find jobs in Gaza. These are the same Arab residents of Gaza who on October 7, 2023, brutally murdered the people who had helped them and took over 200 people hostage. Israel had no choice but to attack and attempt to rescue the hostages. Because the war has dragged on (partially because Israel has been so careful to avoid civilian casualties), public pressure on Israel to stop defending itself has increased. A few nations have begun to recognize a so-called Palestinian state, not realizing that the terrorist state behind October 7th was essentially a Palestinian state.

On Friday, Hot Air reported:

As lily-livered Western countries go wobbly on supporting Israel–The Arab League supports Israel’s policies more than Britain, France, or Canada–Israel is threatening to cut intelligence ties with its faithless “allies.”

…Diplomatic sources have told The Times that Binyamin Netanyahu’s government is examining the response as one of a range of options if Britain presses ahead with Palestinian recognition next month.

An official warned that Britain and other countries considering diplomatic recognition should “carefully consider” the consequences of such a move.

Another diplomatic source said: “London needs to be careful because Bibi [Netanyahu] and his ministers have cards they could play too. Israel values its partnership with the UK but recent decisions mean it is coming under pressure and the UK has a lot to lose if Israel’s government decides to take steps in response.”

Israel has reacted furiously to the decision by Starmer, accusing him of handing Hamas a “prize for terror” by going ahead with recognition outside of a peace process and before the remaining hostages are released. Starmer has said Britain will recognise the state of Palestine next month unless Israel allows more aid into Gaza, stops annexing land in the West Bank, agrees to a ceasefire and signs up to a long-term peace process.

All you need to end the war is for Hamas to release the hostages and surrender. Why are you calling for the victim of the attack to surrender rather than the attacker?

The Goal Of The Democrat Party

On Thursday, PJ Media posted an article explaining what the Democrats plan to do if they gain control of Congress in 2026. Obviously, the first thing they plan to do is to impeach President Trump. We all want to go back to the Biden economy, right? Voters need to see the dangers ahead if the Democrats gain control of Congress–the danger is not just economic.

Democrats have completely dropped the pretense of fair play and now openly admit that they intend to rig the system to secure permanent control. James Carville, a longtime Democratic strategist, declared that if Democrats win big in 2028, they should use that victory as a launchpad to cement their power in ways never seen before.

Carville explicitly called for adding Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, both reliably Democratic strongholds, as new states to skew electoral influence. On top of that, he advocated expanding the Supreme Court to 13 seats, packing it with leftist judges to tilt future judicial decisions in their favor. In other words, Democrats are no longer content with trying to win elections; they want to change the rules so they can’t lose them.

“If the Democrats win the presidency, the Senate and the House in 2028, which is not impossible — I don’t know if you’d say likely or possible, I don’t know what word, you know, but it’s certainly not impossible — they are just gonna have to unilaterally add Puerto Rico and District of Columbia states,” he said.

We have already seen the howls of panic at the idea that the Republicans might copy the Democrats and gerrymander election districts. Now the Democrats are hoping to change the rules so that America only has one political party in power indefinitely. So who is the threat to democracy? Just for the record, we are a constitutional republic–not a democracy.

Let’s get an accurate census, redistrict in a way that favors neither party, and have an honest election.

Cheating To Get A Lower Mortgage Rate

On Wednesday, Hot Air reported that the Department of Justice was opening an investigation into Congressman Adam Schiff for potential mortgage fraud.

The article reports:

Democrats created the lawfare model. Adam Schiff enthusiastically promoted it. Now the model has turned on them, and on Schiff specifically.

According to Fox News host Laura Ingraham, the Department of Justice has opened a criminal probe into potential mortgage fraud involving Schiff. The allegations have floated for months, similar to those surrounding New York Attorney General Letitia James, that Schiff claimed primary residency in Maryland for personal gain while representing California in Congress:

The investigation comes a month after a story broke about the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) sending a criminal referral to the Department of Justice (DOJ) alleging that Schiff, in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms.

In a 2011 affidavit signed by the then California congressman, Schiff certified that a property in Montgomery County, Maryland is his primary residence.

Schiff also owns a condominium in Burbank, California, which he has also claimed as his primary residence as recently as 2023, during his campaign for Senate.

Beege wrote about this last month, so be sure to click through and read the background on the case. This doesn’t just involve potential mortgage fraud, by the way, but could also involve tax fraud in either California or Maryland. States offer lower property tax rates for primary residences (homesteads) in exchange for the benefits communities receive when owners occupy their own properties. If Schiff claimed and received homestead benefits in both states at the same time, both states could file civil or criminal claims of tax fraud. 

Neither California nor Maryland will be likely to do that — to a Democrat, anyway. But the possibility still exists.

It is quite possible that the statute of limitations has run out as Schiff changed the Maryland property to a secondary residence in 2020, but that doesn’t change the fact that he broke the law.

Sad, But Not Surprising

On Wednesday, The Gateway Pundit posted an article about former FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Robert Mueller, former FBI Director who was tapped as special counsel to investigate President Trump’s 2016 ‘collusion’ with Russia is reportedly in a memory-care facility.

The news of Mueller’s health decline comes as House Oversight Chairman James Comer issued subpoenas for those involved in the Russiagate hoax.

On Monday Comer announced the Committee issued subpoenas to a who’s who of political elites and deep state operatives.

The sweeping list includes former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former FBI Directors James Comey and Robert Mueller, and multiple former Attorneys General.

According to RealClearInvestigations reporter Paul Sperry, Robert Mueller, 80, has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years.

“House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Robert Mueller to appear for a Sept. 2 deposition to provide details from an FBI investigation of Jeffrey Epstein from decades ago — even though sources tell me Mueller has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years,” Paul Sperry said.

Recall that Robert Mueller looked like a confused, stuttering, agreeable, lost and nervous doddering old man during his testimony to Congress in 2019. He frequently paged through his notes because he was lost.

There is no way Mueller ran the Russia collusion witch hunt. He was just a figurehead.

It was a Andrew Weissmann witch hunt blessed by Rod Rosenstein and the corrupt Department of Justice.

The political left used a mentally declining former FBI Director as a figurehead for the actions of a corrupt investigation hoping to cash in on his supposed integrity. There are a lot of people in Washington who need to see the inside of a jail cell.

Fear Tactics of the Left

Decision making by human beings is affected by both emotions and rational thought. Ideally, people should make decisions based on a reasoned assessment of the facts and the verifiable truth. Emotions can help motivate and energize, but may seriously interfere with making quality decisions that have lasting consequences. During the Great Depression of the 1930s, then President Franklin Roosevelt broadcast national weekly Saturday radio talks. On one of the broadcasts, he stated “…The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself.” Although, he was not one of my favorite presidents, he was correct about fear in particular and emotions in general. The leftists in this country consistently use fear to convince people to support their programs, most of which would seriously undermine our country and lead us down the path to communism. Let’s look at a couple of examples. 

The Trump administration’s Department of Energy recently released a report prepared by a panel of scientists about global climate change in general and CO2 emissions in particular. The report found that the harmful effects of CO2 from burning fossil fuels are overstated and exaggerated since they based on erroneous models. Any global warming that is occurring is more likely due to the variation in the sun’s output. There is also no evidence that extreme weather events are occurring more frequently than in the past. Sea level rises are not increasing above the historical average. Finally, the measures to combat so-called man-made climate change (e.g. solar and wind power) are more detrimental to the US economy (and the environment) than CO2 emissions. Actually, increasing CO2 levels accelerate plant growth and are good for agriculture and the food supply. Of course, the Left and the climate extremists are up in arms about this report. How dare they challenge the Left’s narrative! What is important to note about this report is that it was released with a request for comments and feedback from interested parties. It was not issued as a government decree or mandate more typical of the Biden administration. In reality, the report opens the door for rational discourse and debate. Unlike the Left’s tactics of using fear such as the world will end in 12 years or the oceans will rise and destroy our coastal cities, this is a rational way to deal with the issue of climate change.

Another example of the Left’s use of fear is all the nonsense we hear about President Trump wanting to be a dictator. Actually, President Trump is respectful of the rule of law and the Constitution as he has repeatedly shown by appointing constitutional conservative judges. Meanwhile, the Democrats continue to block his nominees for various appointments to the Executive Branch. He has the authority to make those appointments. Evidence continues to mount that the Obama administration tried to influence the 2016 election with false claims that Trump was in league with Russian President Putin. Instead of debating the issues rationally, the Left want us to fear President Trump.

While most clear-thinking Americans can see through this fear mongering, this is not true for youth of this country. High school and college age individuals do not have the experience or wisdom to see through all of these fear tactics; especially when hearing it from their teachers and professors. This is why it is important for parents to discuss these issues with their children. What we really need to fear is the radical leftists who are increasingly controlling the direction of the Democrat Party. Avowed Marxists like the Democrat New York mayoral candidate Zoran Mandani show how far to the Left the Democrats have shifted.

Rational debate, not fear and emotions, needs to return to the political arena. However, this requires that both sides actually have respect for facts and the truth. When one side cannot win based on rational debate, we can expect more fear mongering and personal attacks. That is all the Left knows how to do.
