When All Of The Team Is Not On The Same Side

On Monday, Sam Faddis posted an article at AND Magazine detailing some of the problems the Trump administration is dealing with concerning the deep state and the corruption in the intelligence community. Sam Faddis is a retired CIA operations officer and is one of the guest lecturers in the Hillsdale College course dealing with the problems in the current intelligence community.

The article begins with a quote from Devin Nunes:

Imagine where we sit today, with all the things going on around the world, and the President has to have the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA, his own intelligence board, all making sure the intelligence is not weaponized. I mean, it’s rather incredible, this is something that is unprecedented in the United States of America.”

Devin Nunes, Chairman, President’s Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB)

The article reports:

According to CBS News, on July 20, 2025, DNI Tulsi Gabbard directed American intelligence agencies not to share intelligence on the Ukraine peace negotiations even with our closest allies, the other members of the so-called Five Eyes: Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. These English-speaking nations have historically had a unique relationship with the United States in the world of intelligence gathering.

It needs to be noted that most, if not all of these countries played a role in the Russia Collusion Hoax.

The article notes:

Gabbard took this action because she was concerned that our intelligence agencies might pass to these other nations sensitive intelligence on the ongoing negotiations that would be harmful to our national interests and negatively impact the President’s efforts to bring the Ukraine-Russia conflict to an end. In practice, what this means is that she directed that all such intelligence be marked NOFORN, a designator that means the intelligence product in question cannot be passed to any foreign entity.

That may seem like the kind of routine administrative action that happens every day, but if you think about it in the context of how the Intelligence Community (IC) works, the fact that Gabbard had to do this is very troubling. All intelligence products are categorized in some fashion in accordance with their sensitivity and their source. Intelligence concerning ongoing negotiations by the President of the United States with the heads of state of Ukraine and Russia and involving multiple European nations would, in the course of business, ALWAYS be categorized as NOFORN. It would be essentially unthinkable that any American intelligence agency would have intelligence on something of this sensitivity, directly involving the President, and then pass that information to a foreign power.

Please follow the link to read the entire article. The good news is that President Trump is protecting America from the corruption within its own intelligence community. The bad news is that he has to.

When The Loyal Opposition Is Not Loyal

On Friday, The Federalist posted an article about one very specific thing the intelligence community did in their attempt to derail the first Trump administration.

The article reports:

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has released two emails that are significant not only for their content but for their timing, coming just two days before the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska. The emails reveal that in late 2016, then-DNI James Clapper pushed the fraudulent narrative that Russia had hacked the Democratic National Committee (DNC), overriding pointed objections from then-National Security Agency chief Admiral Mike Rogers.

The timing matters because this very narrative — the claim that Russia had hacked the DNC to help President Trump — was used to sabotage the 2018 Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki. Just three days before that meeting, Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 12 Russian nationals on charges of hacking the DNC. The indictment was designed to create political chaos. Mueller knew that the 12 Russians were located in Russia and would never stand trial, meaning he would never need to prove the case. The result of the indictments was exactly what Mueller, his team, and any yet-to-be-identified co-conspirators intended: to sabotage the summit and effectively criminalize diplomacy with Russia.

We all remember Helsinki, where, at the joint press conference standing next to President Putin, Trump addressed the alleged hacking directly:

“You have groups that are wondering why the FBI never took the server. Why haven’t they taken the server? Why was the FBI told to leave the office of the Democratic National Committee?”

What Trump meant was that no one could know what had happened because the key evidence — the DNC server — had never been examined by the FBI or any other U.S. government agency. Trump also noted that Putin had personally assured him, “It’s not Russia.” He then added his own assessment: “I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be [Russia].”

It has never been proven that the Russians hacked the DNC server. People who know such things point to an inside job, possibly with a memory stick. There is also speculation that there is a link between the leaked information from the DNC server and the death of Seth Rich, but so far there has not been any concrete evidence of that link.

The Quiet Heroes In The Russia Collusion Hoax

There were a number of heroes in the Russian Collusion Hoax. One obvious hero was the person who saved the classified information in the burn bags. But there was another quiet hero within the intelligence community. Sometimes you have to let bad things go on around you while you quietly take action to mute their impact. That’s what then NSA Director Mike Rogers did. According to The Conservative Treehouse, Admiral Mike Rogers traveled to Trump Tower (after the election) on November 17th without notifying the White House or Clapper.  The next day, November 18th, President-Elect Trump moved the entire Transition Team to his New Jersey country club.  Mike Rogers remains the current head of the NSA.

On Wednesday, The Conservative Treehouse reported:

Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper was always a doofus, sticking his foot in his mouth about all kinds of Intelligence Community stuff. It was his doofusness that led to President Obama keeping him as DNI, while the rest of the IC worked around him (a little funny at the time).

Today, current Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, declassified and released the content of an email exchange between then NSA Director Mike Rogers and DNI Clapper about the bogus nature of the rushed December 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment, that Obama wanted to help frame the Trump-Russia story.

Adm Mike Rogers is telling James Clapper his NSA team was not comfy with manufacturing and spinning intelligence for a political hit job on the incoming administration. Clapper responds to Rogers telling him to get on board, because this level of IC fabrication requires all key elements to be on the same page. Clapper saying the Russian stuff, “is our story, and we’re sticking to it.”

The article notes:

There’s a reasonable case to be made that all of those previous political players have quite a bit to hide within the construct of the entire narrative. Some like James Comey, and possibly Susan Rice, appear to have violated laws on leaking information and unmasking U.S. citizens within intelligence reports.

Former CIA Director John Brennan has clearly established his own exit from the risk matrix.  While former ODNI James Clapper is almost too inept to be held accountable for any of it.

It would be disingenuous in the extreme to ignore that NSA Director Mike Rogers was the least willing and least engaged intelligence leader within the scheme and simultaneously highly political ODNI James Clapper was calling for him to be fired.

The Truth Is Slowly Leaking Out

On Tuesday, The Federalist posted an article about some of the behind-the-scenes activities associated with the Russia Hoax.

The article reports:

A crony of then-Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper threatened to withhold a promotion from a senior intelligence official unless he concurred in the fake Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, notes obtained exclusively by The Federalist show.

The notes made public for the first time today recount a conversation the top analyst in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) had with an unnamed superior who worked closely with the then-Director James Clapper, according to sources familiar with the document.

The release of the notes represents the latest cache of documents declassified by the Trump administration official concerning the ICA that outgoing President Barack Obama ordered, which falsely assessed that Putin “aspired” to help Trump win the election. An earlier release by the current Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, revealed the senior intelligence official — whom her office identified as an ODNI whistleblower — had been charged with conducting a “scrub,” which is a review, of the intelligence in the non-compartmented ICA. Emails released last week by Gabbard show the top analyst expressing shock over the ICA’s reliance on the Steele dossier because the versions the analyst reviewed included no intel relying on the Hillary Clinton-based fairy tale of opposition research.

Please follow the link above to read the rest of the article. It is disturbing.

The sad part of this is that the people who were lying to the American voters for political reasons evidently felt that what they were doing was for a greater purpose. No one gave them the authority to manipulate American voters for political purposes. They were so prideful that they felt justified in providing false information to the voters because they knew better than the voters. They assumed authority they did not have in order to undermine the person elected who did have authority.

The Files In The Burn Bags

We now have the smoking gun(s) on the Russia Hoax and the Hillary Clinton email scandal. The documents hidden in the back room have been declassified and made public. Whether or not anyone will be held accountable remains to be seen. Someone who I consider a reliable source experienced in handling classified material told me that he believes the documents were saved on purpose by a future whistleblower. Because of the the procedure for dealing with classified information, that makes sense. Normally all no-longer-needed classified information is put in a burn bag and incinerated daily. The security officer on site is supposed to make sure all of it burns before he leaves the premises.

On Thursday, Townhall posted an article about some of the information that has been declassified.

Some highlights from the article:

First, we have George Soros ties, with emails from Open Society Foundations Regional Director Leonard Bernardo that were authentic, which spoke to the Trump-Russia collusion narrative being used against the then-incoming president. The Obama FBI never investigated this angle. Moreover, as Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) noted in his press release about the annex, no investigative steps were taken to follow up on any leads related to Russiagate. The answer is simple: they were all in on peddling this operation.

Second, while Barack Obama ordered the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, Hillary Clinton also signed off on using the Russian collusion hoax to attack Trump. Obama-Clinton—quite the gruesome twosome.

The article concludes:

James Clapper seems to be the only member of this plot who has knowingly admitted to lawyering up. Brennan, Obama, and Clinton should be next. They should be charged, especially Brennan, who likely committed perjury in his May 2017 testimony, where he said the Steele Dossier “wasn’t part of the corpus of intelligence information that we had. It was not in any way used as a basis for the Intelligence Community Assessment that was done.”

DNI Tulsi Gabbard set that narrative aflame, nuking it from orbit with her document disclosures. This was a seditious conspiracy, and the media is just as culpable. Without them, this operation dies quickly. We should demand more documents, but for now, we have enough to charge people.

Obama has already been referred to the DOJ for potential prosecution.

We may never get accountability, but we can consume a lot of popcorn watching the show.

General Flynn Speaks Out

General Flynn has a Substack website where he posts articles about current happenings.

On July 29, he posted the following headline, “The Hunted Have Become the Hunters The Truth is Rising.” I agree. In the article he lists recent events that have uncovered the truth about the continuing attacks on President Trump and his past and present administrations.

The article reports:

The recent declassifications from DNI Tulsi Gabbard weren’t coincidental. They were a strategic disclosure of evidence and laid the groundwork for follow-on prosecutions.

Here’s what those documents confirm:

Barack Obama knew in December 2016 that there was no Russia-Trump collusion. He also knew Hillary Clinton’s campaign was manufacturing the narrative, yet he allowed it to proceed anyway. Why…Because globalism and communism were the end goals. Obama was not just transforming America, he was weaponizing the entire federal government to destroy a duly elected successor.

This wasn’t politics, this was a coup that they nearly got away with.

How Do We Know?

Let’s look at five confirmed, documented facts that expose this Deep State playbook:

1. Illegal surveillance of the Trump campaign via FISA warrants—later ruled invalid. The DOJ’s Inspector General found at least 17 significant errors or omissions in the Carter Page FISA applications (Horowitz Report, 2019).

2. Unmasking of Gen. Michael Flynn by dozens of Obama-era officials. According to DNI declassifications, 39 officials made 53 unmasking requests involving Flynn, including Biden and Obama’s Chief of Staff.

3. Despite its unverified status, Senator John McCain hand-delivered the Steele Dossier to James Comey, and it later became the basis for FBI surveillance.

4. AG Bill Barr claimed “no election fraud” within days of the 2020 election despite hundreds of affidavits, video footage, and ongoing court challenges.

5. The FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago authorized with “deadly force” authority in the execution order (as confirmed by court filings in 2024).

Why 2020 Was Critical

2020 wasn’t just about beating Trump, it was about silencing him before he could uncover and expose their crimes. The Deep State’s strategy is to run out the clock since the federal statute of limitations for many offenses is five years.

But there’s one catch: a conspiracy investigation resets the clock and opens up new venues for prosecution. The Deep State’s favorite Washington, D.C. courtrooms can no longer protect this corruption-Florida is now in play and that changes everything.

A New DOJ — A New Battlefield

This marks a new chapter beyond the Barr–Wray–Durham era. The president has appointed a talented team of leaders and assigned them clear responsibilities and expectations to ensure accountability.

From the FBI’s new investigations to Tulsi’s precise declassifications, every piece of this operation is moving in sync. You don’t declassify sensitive intel unless ready to act on it. You don’t flip the DOJ unless you plan to prosecute.

This is not the Trump of 2017. This is 2025 Trump, deliberate, battle-tested, and backed by a trusted inner circle.

Please follow the link and read the entire article. It is time for justice.

The Lies That Set The Stage

On Friday, The Federalist posted an article about the lies that set the Russia Hoax in motion.

The article reports:

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified a long-buried House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) report exposing the fraud at the heart of the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) released in January 2017.

That ICA — produced by the CIA, FBI, and NSA at the behest of President Obama — claimed that Vladimir Putin helped Donald Trump win the presidency. It became a weaponized talking point, casting a shadow over Trump’s legitimacy before he even took office.

These are the five lies told by John Brennan that set the scheme in motion:

1. The Single-Source ‘Fragment

2. The Anonymous Ukrainian Tip

3. The ‘Putin Inner Circle’ Fantasy

4. The Steele Dossier

5. Brennan’s Most Brazen Deception

In the section regarding Brennan’s Most Brazen Deception, the article notes:

As bad as all this is, the most brazen abuse may be buried in a footnote.

According to the HPSCI report, Brennan personally blocked two HUMINT reports — presumably because they contradicted his narrative — from being formally disseminated.

From the report:

“CIA officers also said that DCIA [Brennan] personally directed that two of the most important reports not be formally disseminated … By briefing information orally, however, DCIA could have tailored his message to different officials, unconstrained by a consistent record copy.”

This isn’t run-of-the-mill fudging. It’s a calculated abuse of power. There’s little doubt that DOJ officials handling the Brennan criminal referrals will now zero in on this footnote, which stands as prima facie evidence of deliberate deception.

Instead of reporting the actual situation, Brennan manufactured a situation that was to his political liking, and totally misled the American people. That is not politics as usual, and there needs to be severe consequences for the lies told.

Please follow the link above to the article for the full details on each lie.

Fake News Isn’t Only About What You Say–It’s Often About What You Don’t Say

The majority of the American media is owned by a few large corporations. None of them are conservative. Thus, if you watch the mainstream media, you are not getting the whole story. If you are looking for media that is actually reliable, I strongly recommend NewsMax and One America News. The lack of coverage of the newly declassified documents released by  Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is one example of the news media controlling the narrative to avoid telling the truth.

On Tuesday, The American Thinker reported:

Most fake news isn’t incorrect facts or flat-out lies; that’s way too obvious and easy to prove wrong.  Instead, most fake news is done by omission — telling part of the story so the reader comes to a different conclusion or completely omitting the story so the reader has no idea that it ever happened.  A great example of fake news by omission was during the 2020 election cycle, when most “mainstream” media refused to report on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Recall October 2020: The N.Y. Post published the explosive story about the contents of Hunter’s laptop.  The laptop contained thousands of emails, documents, photos, etc. that proved that Joe Biden (and Biden Inc.) is completely corrupt.  The laptop had been in the FBI’s possession for almost a year.  They had verified its authenticity and had certainly informed their leftist and Democrat media sources of the laptop’s veracity.

The hardcore leftist media completely ignored the laptop story.  They engaged in fake news by omission.  It was almost impossible to find the Post’s story anywhere.  And when they were called on it, they used all kinds of excuses that centered on “the story couldn’t be verified” and “fifty-one former intel officials claim it was Russian disinformation.

…Last Friday (July 18), previously classified documents were released that prove that the Trump-Russia-collusion story was concocted and initiated by then-president Obama and executed by U.S. intelligence agencies, including the CIA and FBI.  Tulsi Gabbard, former Democrat presidential candidate and now Trump’s director of National Intelligence (DNI), released over 100 documents that prove that on Dec. 7, 2016, the Intel Community told Obama that Russia had not interfered in the 2016 election.  Two days later, Obama then “tasked” the intel agencies to look “into Russia election meddling,” meaning the intel agencies should fabricate intel reports to appear as though Russia had interfered in favor of Trump.

The article concludes:

The blockbuster story broke almost exclusively on conservative media because the leftist, liberal, Democrat media newscasts and websites almost completely ignored the story in the same manner that they ignored Hunter’s laptop.  CNN did cover it but at the very bottom of the webpage and only after such stories as the Texas floods, Superman goes “woke,” Americans at risk of extreme heat, Colbert’s Late Show canceled, Sergio García snapped golf club in frustration, man plows car into crowd, David Beckham’s haircut mishap, and CEO resigns after viral Coldplay concert video.

Ignoring this story is the ultimate fake news by omission.  However, it really doesn’t matter as long as the DOJ follows through and investigates what all American Thinker readers have known for years.

Final thought: In a just world, those guilty of perpetrating the Russia hoax would spend years in prison.  However, the world is not fair.  I doubt if any Dem will ever be prosecuted for these treasonous crimes, further proving we have a two-tier standard of justice.

Let’s hope there are enough people who care about America to hold the people who dreamed up this hoax responsible.

Exactly What Do The Declassified Documents Show?

Conservative media is overflowing with stories about the document dump about the Russia Hoax. The mainstream media, not so much. There are some things that are revealed in the documents declassified that might be troubling to some of the people who were in power in 2016 and early 2017.

On Monday, The Federalist reported:

Internal emails released on Friday by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reveal that after former President Barack Obama ordered an intelligence assessment of Russia’s election influence, a top official in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence scuttled the release of an already-completed intelligence report that concluded Russian had not hacked the 2016 presidential election.

On Friday, Director Gabbard released newly declassified documents, including scores of emails related to a 7-page draft President’s Daily Brief or PDB. That draft PDB, dated December 8, 2016, concluded, “Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent US election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against election infrastructure.” But hours before the planned publication of the PDB, the ODNI’s deputy director pulled the report, purportedly due to “some new guidance.”

However, the email threads declassified last week indicate the ODNI instead buried the PDB to provide the intelligence community cover to issue a contrary assessment concerning Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election — and did so, against the recommendations of a wide array of intelligence professionals.

Specifically, on Thursday, December 8, 2016, the “Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Cyber Issues” for ODNI responded to an earlier email from the Deputy Director of ODNI concerning the publication of the PDB. “The room’s thoughts (EEMC, NIO Russia, CTIIC, NSA, FBI, CCI) were that it was worth going ahead with the pdb if possible now to provide our current understanding of what happened during the election, and that worst case the ICA has some language and an associated briefer note explaining any changes between the products.”

I am not sure exactly how much of this activity is illegal or if anyone will ever be held accountable for their lies. However, the value of getting it out there is vindication for those of us who have watched the lies the media has told be accepted as fact. I don’t expect apologies from my friends and family who hate President Trump, but it feels good to know that my research in the alternative media has been more accurate than the reporting by the mainstream media.

The Hair-On-Fire Media

Lighting someone’s hair on fire tends to take their focus away from anything else going on. The tendency is to deal with the crisis at hand and focus on it until it is resolved—particularly if there is something going on that you want to ignore. In my opinion, the recent dust-up over the Epstein Files was designed to distract from the information political insiders knew was coming.

The mainstream media’s reaction to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s declassification of records regarding the 2016+ Russia Hoax has been interesting. Most of the media has ignored it. The media that has reported it (MSNBC for example posted the headline, “DNI Gabbard concocts odd ‘treasonous conspiracy’ theory, eyes Russia probe prosecutions,”) has simply denied that there is any substance to the charges against President Obama and his cadre. However, the CYA memo by Susan Rice on January 20 gives credence to the idea that something that was at least questionable was afoot. The subject of the memorandum that was released by the Director of National Intelligence is titled, “Intelligence Community suppression of intelligence showing “Russian and criminal actors did not impact” the 2016 presidential election via cyber-attacks on infrastructure.” This is not news to anyone who has done their own research in recent years.

Bill Still, of The Still Report videos on YouTube, is a retired newspaper editor and publisher. He reported on Hillary Clinton’s behavior after the September 7, 2016, debate where moderator Matt Laurer asked her a question that had not been previously submitted to her. Bill Still reports that she went into a screaming fit and yelled that she’d get that f*****g Lauer fired for this. Referring to Donald Trump, Clinton said, ”If that f*****g bastard wins, we all hang from noosesLauer’s finished, and if I lose, it’s all on your heads for screwing this up.” People don’t hang for losing elections. (source here) That quote also gives credence to what is revealed in the Director of National Intelligence Memorandum.

It will be interesting to see how much of the media is willing to cover this story accurately and to see where the story leads. This is a scandal, and it remains to be seen whether or not the Democrats and the mainstream media can successfully make it go away.

Why They Got It Wrong

On Friday, Fred Fleitz posted an article at American Greatness about the intelligence failures regarding the Iranian nuclear program.

The article includes a brief biography of Fred Fleitz:

Fred Fleitz previously served as National Security Council chief of staff, CIA analyst, and a House Intelligence Committee staff member. He was a member of the CIA Weapons Intelligence, Nonproliferation, and Arms Control Center and served as a U.S. delegate to the IAEA Board of Governors.

Obviously he knows what he is talking about.

The article reports:

The recent Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) assessment claiming that the U.S. bombing of Iran set the country’s nuclear weapons program back only a few months was irresponsible and probably intended to undermine President Trump’s foreign policy. This assessment was written to be leaked to the press and reflected a long pattern of politicized intelligence analysis to undermine Republican presidents.

The DIA assessment was not credible because a battle damage assessment of the bombing of Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites will be complicated and probably take weeks or months of intelligence collection and analysis by dozens of experts and other intelligence agencies. A low-confidence assessment, like the DIA analysis issued 24 hours after the bombings, was a fraud and an abuse of intelligence to produce a high-profile assessment that deliberately misrepresented the outcome of the U.S. attack and helped the president’s political adversaries use the bombings to hurt him politically. Not surprisingly, this assessment was quickly leaked to the press.

The DIA assessment followed similar efforts by U.S. intelligence agencies and the left to deny that Iran had a nuclear weapons program.

The article notes one of the reasons for previous misreporting:

Prior to 2007, the U.S. Intelligence Community had assessed that Iran had a nuclear weapons program. But in November 2007, fearing that President Bush might order an attack on Iran’s nuclear program, a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) was published by the National Intelligence Council that found Iran’s nuclear program was halted in 2003 and Iranian leaders had not made a decision to resume weaponization efforts and construct a nuclear weapon.

Our government agencies need to remember that the President is an elected official and that they are not!

The article concludes:

The DIA assessment is a wake-up call about the serious problem of politicized U.S. intelligence analysis. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has begun to address this problem by reassigning National Intelligence Council senior analysts for politicizing national intelligence estimates. Much more must be done to depoliticize American intelligence analysis and win back the confidence of President Trump.

Let’s go back to where patriotism was more important than political parties.

Disturbing Actions By The Biden Administration

On Tuesday, Just the News reported the following:

The Biden administration authorized federal law enforcement four years ago to target Americans engaged in “concerning non-criminal behavior” in the name of fighting domestic terrorism, with a specific eye on those serving in the military, owning firearms, or spreading what officials considered to be “xenophobic” disinformation, according to newly declassified documents.

The stunning breadth of the mandate was disclosed when Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard recently released a fully unredacted version of the prior administration’s “Strategic Implementation Plan for Countering Domestic Terrorism.”

The June 2021 memo exposed for the first time the law enforcement and intelligence framework that led the FBI to monitor and probe conservative Catholics and parents who protested against some school board policies and justified Homeland Security to engage in censorship or debanking of Americans the administration considered to be potential enemies of the state.

The directives provided to the Justice Department and FBI by the National Security Council, which developed the memo, said the agencies should “drive…executive and legislative action” to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, rein in “ghost guns,” monitor active-duty service members for possible terrorism recruitment and “mitigate xenophobia and bias.”

They weren’t looking for enemies of the state–they were looking for people who simply disagreed with the policies of the Biden administration. Why wasn’t there someone in the FBI that exposed this at the time? Where were the people who take an oath to uphold the Constitution?

The article notes:

Legal experts and lawmakers told Just the News on Tuesday they were deeply concerned the Biden-era memo substantially lowered the standard to “concerning” behavior instead of criminality, potentially jeopardizing civil liberties and giving license to weaponize police powers against Americans who had different views than the governing administration on issues like the Second Amendment and COVID-19.

The article concludes:

One whistleblower, agent Garrett O’Boyle, testified that the bureau issued guidance in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade to investigate pro-life groups for threats against the Supreme Court, even though, at the time, it was pro-choice groups that were protesting — sometimes disturbingly — outside conservative justices’ and their families’ homes.

O’Boyle said he was tasked with talking to a pro-life informant “about the threats to the Supreme Court,” much to his bewilderment.

“I was like, why would this person know about those threats? He’s pro-life. Like, he’s not the one going and threatening the Supreme Court Justices,” O’Boyle said.

In the now-infamous “Catholic Memo,” the FBI detailed plans to develop a source network in conservative and traditional Catholicism, and splinter Catholic Churches over fears that they served as a nexus for the development of extremist ideology. A separate whistleblower provided evidence to Congress that FBI counterterrorism assets were involved in the investigation of parents protesting school policies.

Some of the policies of the Biden administration are concerning; however, the fact that we are just hearing about some of them now is even more concerning.

Dealing With The Leaks

The first Trump administration had a major problem with people in the administration leaking to the press. Generally these were not leaks that in any way helped the administration. Many of them were quite damaging. It seems as if the second Trump administration has learned some lessons from the first Trump administration.

On Tuesday, The Daily Wire reported:

Dan Caldwell, adviser to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, has been placed on leave pending an ongoing investigation into leaks in the Defense Department, The Daily Wire has confirmed.

An official within the Defense Department confirmed the report to Daily Wire White House Correspondent Mary Margaret Olohan on Tuesday.

…Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has employed polygraph testing in her efforts to root out suspected leakers within the DHS. Tricia McLaughlin, DHS’ assistant secretary for public affairs, issued a statement to Fox News Digital on that initiative, saying, “Under Secretary Noem’s leadership, DHS is unapologetic about its efforts to root out leakers that undermine national security. We are agnostic about your standing, tenure, political appointment or status as a career civil servant – we will track down leakers and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.”

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has also taken a hardline stance on potential leakers in the intelligence community, saying in a statement, “Politically motivated leaks undermine our national security and the trust of the American people and will not be tolerated. Unfortunately, such leaks have become commonplace with no investigation or accountability. That ends now. We know of and are aggressively pursuing recent leakers from within the Intelligence Community and will hold them accountable.”

If you hold an important position in the government, you should not be leaking to the press. It is unprofessional and undermines the administration. There should be a more severe penalty than just losing your job.
