The Generosity Of Americans

On Sunday, The Carolina Journal posted an article about the attempted assassination of President Trump. The article includes the general information on the shooter, but it also includes some other information showing how Americans can respond positively to a negative event.

The article reports:

A GoFundMe account authorized by Trump and launched by Meredith O’Rourke, Trump’s campaign national finance director, has been set up for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed Saturday. Donations have surpassed $2.4 million as of Sunday afternoon by such people as former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Kid Rock.

The current information on the shooter includes the following:

According to the Associated Press, Crooks had used an AR-style rifle that was legally purchased by his father at least six months ago, and bomb-making materials were found inside Crooks’ vehicle near where the shooting took place and in the suspect’s home.

Crooks graduated from Bethel Park High School in 2022 and was one of nearly twenty-five students from the school to earn a $500 “star award” from the National Math and Science Initiative.

According to Fox News, Crooks would have turned 21 in September. He had no reported criminal or traffic citations and no reported bankruptcies, liens, or foreclosures.

Fox News also said that voting records showed he was a registered Republican, but due to his age, he only voted in the state election on November 8, 2022.

Records show that he made a $15 donation to ActBlue, a political action committee (PAC) that raises money for left-leaning and Democratic politicians, according to a 2021 Federal Election Commission filing. The donation was earmarked for the Progressive Turnout Project, a Chicago-based political action committee that supports Democratic candidates for public office and claims to advocate for “key Democratic constituencies: young people, minorities, and low-income people,” according to Fox and Reuters.

In a July 13 post on its X page, Progressive Turnout Project has a post that says, “It’s simple people: Donald Trump is a threat to our democracy, and another four years of him would be detrimental to our country,” along with a quote allegedly made by President Joe Biden, “The choice in this election is simple: Donald Trump will destroy our democracy. I will defend it.”

There are more questions than answers surrounding this event. The conspiracy theories abound and the false reporting is rampant. Please evaluate carefully anything you read. It will be at least six or seven months before we actually know the truth of what happened.

Public Pressure May Actually Tone Down The Rhetoric

On Sunday, The New York Post reported that public outrage actually caused Forbes to remove an article from its website. Maybe we are making progress.

The article reports:

A controversial Forbes column with a headline that questioned if former President Donald Trump surviving Saturday’s assassination attempt would draw more black voters was yanked from its website amid social media backlash.

The piece, “Will Surviving Gunfire Be Donald Trump’s Next Appeal To Black Voters,” by scholar and self-described DEI expert Shaun Harper was posted Sunday morning and quickly called out by critics on X.

The column described how black Americans face “inexcusably” high levels of gun violence, including in many urban centers, which Harper wrote Trump could address through legislation and financial investments in urban black communities.

The article concludes:

Attempts to reach the online story resulted in a 404 error, which was diverted back to the homepage.

The column was published after Trump was struck by a bullet during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, but was able to walk off the stage on his own. Three others were hit, including a 50-year-old father of two who was killed.

The would-be assassin was shot and killed by the Secret Service.

When reached by The Post, Harper said his column has been widely misinterpreted.

The Post sought comment from Forbes Sunday night.

Aside from being a new level of stupid, this article is grossly inappropriate.

The Rest Of The Story On Inflation

On Friday, the Associated Press posted an article about the current state of inflation.

The article reports:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Wholesale prices in the United States rose by a larger-than-expected 2.6% last month from a year earlier, a sign that some inflation pressures remain high.

The increase, the sharpest year-over-year increase since March 2023, comes at a time when other price indicators are showing that inflation has continued to ease.

The Labor Department said Friday that its producer price index — which tracks inflation before it reaches consumers — rose 0.2% from May to June after being unchanged the month before. Excluding food and energy prices, which tend to bounce around from month to month, so-called core wholesale prices increased 0.4% from May and 3% from June 2023.

The increase in wholesale inflation last month was driven by a sizable 0.6% rise in services prices, led by higher profit margins for machinery and auto wholesalers.

By contrast, the overall prices of goods fell 0.5%. Gasoline prices tumbled 5.8% at the wholesale level. Food prices also dropped.

The producer price index can provide an early sign of where consumer inflation is headed. Economists also watch it because some of its components, notably healthcare and financial services, flow into the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation gauge — the personal consumption expenditures, or PCE, index.

Most of the media reported that inflation was slowing based on the producer price index. That number was used to fuel speculation of a federal reserve rate decrease by the end of the year. That likely caused the bump in the stock market yesterday. It’s nice to celebrate a drop in food as fuel prices, but where are they in comparison to where they were four years ago? The Biden administration is hoping you won’t remember.

We Need To Rethink Coastal Wind Farms

I am not going to go into details on the number of dead whales found on the East Coast since exploration for wind farms began. I am going to focus on the more basic problems caused by off-shore wind farms. On Saturday, The Washington Examiner posted an article about some of the problems with the Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, LLC (Atlantic Shores) project planned for the New Jersey Coast.

The article reports:

While the Biden administration and other environmental activist groups boast that the Atlantic Shores South project, nearly nine years in the making, is another milestone in the country’s harvesting of green energy, a former U.S. Department of Energy engineer raises alarm bells that not only is this project detrimental to tourism, the ocean’s ecosystem, but it will actually raise energy costs to as high as 80% over the next 20 years.

…“Project 1 and Project 2 are expected to generate up to 2,800 megawatts of electricity, enough to power close to one million homes with clean renewable energy,” according to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

And while Atlantic Shores South says this project will generate $1.9 billion in economic benefits for the Garden State, an analysis by Edward P. O’Donnell with Whitestrand Consulting found that consumers from residents to commercials to industrial all across the state will see a massive hike in their electric bills.

The article concludes:

As concerning as it is for Stern to see his electric bills go up, he’s worried about how this green energy project will impact marine animals like whales.

“The underwater noise from all phases of this, the vessel surveys which use noise devices to characterize the seabed, then the noise from when you pile drive the foundations, and then ultimately the operation of these huge structures create a lot of underwater noise,” Stern said. “We’ve looked at it extensively and we believe it’s going to cause great harm to the whales, to the dolphins, particularly the whales that have to migrate to New Jersey to get where they’re going.”

But according to Stern it gets worse as commercial vessel traffic, military, and fishing boats won’t be allowed in the wind complex.

“So they’re going to be squeezed into these narrow corridors,” Stern said. “And it turns out that the corridors that they’re going to be squeezed into also happens to be a migration corridor for the whales. Now you’re creating, not only a hazard to the whales but a hazard to the vessels.”

In the Bureau of Ocean of Energy Management’s Environmental Review, the agency acknowledged that the Atlantic Shores South would have a major impact on the North Atlantic White Whale, less than 400 remaining in the wild.

Stern, who organized Save Long Beach Island in an effort to push back on the project, said there’s also a fear with community members that the windmills, a major eye sore just miles away from the coast, will negatively impact tourism.

The Long Beach Island Chamber of Commerce said in an email that it was against the project, but did not want to make a comment.

“What are we doing this for?” Stern said. “People come out and say we have to do this for climate change, but even the agency’s documents say it has a negligible impact on climate change because there is a much bigger dynamic going on there with the rest of the world.”

Stern, along with his comrades in Save Long Island Beach are not giving up and said they will be taking this to court.

“This is an energy boondoggle,” Stern said. “Unfortunately, it’s also a hazardous boondoggle, and I believe the country will regret this.”

It’s time to re-evaluate.

Shaken

When I was checking one of my news sites to get ideas for articles, I saw the alert about the shooting at the Trump rally. I turned on the news (a combination of NewsMax and One America News) and watched the commentary. What I saw was eerily reminiscent of my memories of the weekend after John F. Kennedy was shot. I was in high school at the time, mostly unaware of politics. I loved Jackie Kennedy’s style and generally thought John Kennedy was a good image for America. I really didn’t know anything about his policies (I am not sure he was in office long enough to leave a large footprint.). The assassination of John Kennedy was a shock to America—we didn’t believe things like that happened here. Last night’s sniper shot at President Trump was a shock to me–it shouldn’t have been, based on the rhetoric, but it was.

I am not going to review the rhetoric–it doesn’t deserve to be repeated, but it is time for everyone to settle down. President Trump is not Hitler. President Trump is not a threat to democracy (we are not a democracy–we are a representative republic). President Trump will not put his political enemies in jail (in some circles that is already happening and is treated as acceptable). President Trump will not become a dictator who will ignore the checks and balances put in place by Congress and the Supreme Court (student loans?).

If President Trump is elected, there will be riots–there were riots when he took office in 2017. There were comments made about burning down the White House. There was illegal surveillance of the Trump campaign and the Presidency. Because President Trump was trying to play nice with his opposition, no one was held accountable for their law breaking (threats on a President are illegal, the surveillance was illegal, rioting and destroying property are illegal). If President Trump is elected again, I think he has to hold people accountable for what they say and what they do. Protesting is legal–rioting is not. Free speech is protected–threats against a President are not. Using the Justice Department as a political weapon is not acceptable. All of the people who break the law need to be held accountable. Not in a partisan way, but in accordance with the concept of equal justice for everyone.

Some Common-Sense Analysis

On Saturday night, after the assassination attempt on President Trump, Jonathan Turley posted an article at The Hill that sums up what a lot of Americans are thinking.

The article notes:

The assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump left a nation stunned. But the most shocking aspect was that it was not nearly as surprising as it should have been. For months, politicians, the press and pundits have escalated reckless rhetoric in this campaign on both sides. That includes claims that Trump was set to kill democracy, unleash “death squads” and make homosexuals and reporters “disappear.”

President Biden has stoked this rage rhetoric. In 2022, Biden held his controversial speech before Independence Hall where he denounced Trump supporters as enemies of the people. Biden recently referenced the speech and has embraced the claims that this could be our last democratic election.

…Some of us have been saying for years that this rage rhetoric is a dangerous political pitch for the nation. While most people reject the hyperbolic claims, others take them as true. They believe that homosexuals are going to be “disappeared” as claimed on ABC’s “The View” or that the Trump “death squads” are now green lighted by a conservative Supreme Court, as claimed by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.

Rage is addictive and contagious. It is also liberating. It allows people a sense of license to take actions that would ordinarily be viewed as repulsive.

As soon as Trump was elected, unhinged rage became the norm as with Kathy Griffin featuring herself holding the bloody severed head of Trump

Just recently, another celebrity, actress Lea DeLaria, begged Biden to “blow [Trump] up” after the recent presidential immunity decision. DeLaria explained that “this is a **** war. This is a war now, and we are fighting for our **** country. And these a**holes are going to take it away. They’re going to take it away.”

For months, people have heard politicians and press call Trump “Hitler” and the GOP a Nazi movement. Some compared stopping Trump to stopping Hitler in 1933. Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) declared Trump “is not only unfit, he is destructive to our democracy and he has to be eliminated.” He later apologized.

Please follow the link to read the rest of the article. We need to tone it down and realize that this is an important presidential election, but we need to respect both campaigns.

IRS Audits For Thee, But Not For Me

On Friday, The Federalist posted an article about how the extra money given to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the last budget passed by Congress is being used.

The article reports:

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is using a new army of tax collectors to conduct mass audits of middle-income earners after Democrats promised additional resources would only be used to target the rich.

On Thursday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., celebrated the federal government’s collection of more than $1 billion in taxes from “high-wealth taxpayers” as a triumph for the agency’s radical expansion under President Joe Biden.

…A columnist for the paper trumpeted by Warren, however, pointed out that “Buried deep in the same story: Two-thirds of IRS audits initiated last year were on taxpayers making less than $200,000.”

The article notes:

“It should also be noted that nearly two-thirds of audits initiated in 2023 were on those making less than $200,000,” Brady told the paper.

In April, The Wall Street Journal editorial board reported on a review of the federal tax agency’s auditing practices, which found 63 percent of new government inquiries were to middle-income earners who made less than $200,000.

“Only a small overall share reached the very highest earners, while 80% of audits covered filers earning less than $1 million,” wrote the editorial board of The Wall Street Journal. “Don’t forget to save those charitable-giving receipts.”

It has been reported that nearly half of American Congress members are millionaires. Why would the people who write the laws write them so that their activities would be closely watched?

The Part The Media Has Played

On Friday, Hot Air posted an article about the mainstream media’s role in covering up the failing mental acuity of our current President. The cover-up began in 2019 when President Biden was hiding in the basement ‘because of Covid.’

The article credits Drew Holden, someone who has posted a lot of the history of the cover-up on Twitter, with a lot of the information the article reports.

The article notes:

I have been pounding the drum on what I think is the most important thing to focus on right now, and it’s not the decline of the president. Everybody knows that, can see it, and it is baked into the cake. What conservatives need to do is open everybody’s eyes to the real villains in this story, and that is the mainstream media.

…Without their conscious decision to engage in a full-on conspiracy to perpetrate a hoax, Biden would never have become president. He probably would not even have become the 2020 Democrat candidate for president. Biden was already in mental decline in 2019–even George Clooney admitted that in his Opinion piece in The New York Times in an aside–and the media helped Biden and his aides to cover that fact up.

…Biden ran the “basement campaign,” in which he made few appearances and did only scripted events. The media called every criticism of Biden a lie or “misinformation.” They put Biden on their back and carried him over the finish line. Biden wasn’t as bad as he is now, but everybody with a brain could see his decline if they cared to look.

…And it is the media’s job to look and tell everybody what they see.

They also pushed every anti-Trump hoax as if it were reality, turning him into a moronic demon while Joe Biden was a wonderful, compassionate genius who just wanted to save the world from Orange Hitler.

The article concludes:

Politicians come and go, but the media, like the bureaucracy, is permanent. They help make or break the politicians. They pick and choose who gets in to a great extent, and thus they help push the most poisonous narratives and policies destroying our country.

Look at alphabet ideology–especially transgenderism. The media was all-in LONG before the politicians. They created the issue and the politicians hopped on board after the media made it necessary for them to do so.

…There is much more to say, but let me end with this:

Our job is to destroy the mainstream media. It is now a cancer in the body politic. Sure, we have to defeat the Democrats, but recognize that the Democrats are this way because it is what the media wants, or at least the media enables the Democrats to pursue their insane policies.

That’s why you see so many former politicians and operatives in the media–they are basically the same thing. It’s time to destroy their influence.

It’s time to stop watching or listening to the mainstream media and let their advertisers depart due to the lack of audience. That is how you defeat them.

Clean Up Your Own Backyard First

Two of the main talking points in the 2024 election (regardless of who the Democrat candidate is) are that President Trump is a liar and that President Trump is a convicted felon. My lawyer friends tell me that he is not a convicted felon until he is sentenced, so we will see how that works out. Oddly enough, the majority of President Trump’s ‘lies’ turn out to be true or accurate predictions. So just for the fun of it, let’s look at some of the Democrat lies.

On article at PJ Media posted on Friday about the demise of the Democrat party includes the following screenshot:

We could also make some additions to the list of questionable things that the Democrat party has done that Americans have become aware of–politicization of the Justice Department, major overspending, ignoring Constitutional guidelines, open borders, and generally bad governance.

If you don’t like the candidates, look at the platforms and the past record of each candidate. At that point, the decision of who to vote for in 2024 should be easy.

A Step In The Right Direction

On Wednesday, The Epoch Times reported that the House of Representatives has passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE), which requires proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections in America.

The article notes:

The bill was approved in a mostly party-line vote of 221–198.

Five Democrats—Reps. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas), Donald Davis (D-N.C.), Jared Golden (D-Maine), Vincente Gonzalez Jr. (D-Texas), and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-Wash.)—joined all Republicans in voting for the legislation. Other Democrats opposed the bill, arguing that it’s redundant with existing prohibitions on noncitizen voting.

Are these the same people who are giving instructions on how to register to vote to illegal aliens at the southern border?

The article reports some of the discussion:

It would also require states to purge their voter rolls of any current noncitizens, in part by giving states no-cost access to databases run by the Department of Homeland Security and Social Security Administration.

In a whip notice, House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) advised Democrats against voting for the legislation, saying that it “irresponsibly [calls] into question the credibility of our elections.”

Democrats say that under the terms of the bill, it would become more difficult for natural-born and naturalized citizens to register to vote.

“It is already illegal under current law for noncitizens to register to vote or to vote in federal elections,” Ms. Clark’s office stated.

Republicans acknowledge that federal law technically prohibits voting by illegal immigrants, but they say there are loopholes that make it possible for an illegal immigrant to vote.

…Republicans’ concerns are primarily related to the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), dubbed the Motor Voter law, which allows people to register to vote at the same time that they pick up a driver’s license from a Department of Motor Vehicles or other state agency.

Foreigners living permanently in the United States are encouraged to get a U.S. driver’s license; 19 states and the District of Columbia allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.

The NVRA does not allow states to ask for documentary proof of citizenship, instead requiring that they take an individual’s word that they are a citizen unless the individual’s eligibility is called into question.

There are non-citizens currently voting in our elections. The penalty for voting when you are not a citizen needs to be deportation, and that rule needs to be enforced. I believe that will help solve the problem.

Are Lawsuits The Answer?

On Tuesday, The New York Post reported that Almog Meir Jan, 22, a hostage taken by Hamas on October 7th, is suing a US non-profit which employed his Hamas operative captor as a war correspondent. Good for him.

The article reports:

The organization runs a pro-Palestinian news website and had frequently published the work of Abdullah Aljamal, a Gaza-based journalist and former spokesman for the terrorist organization. He began writing articles for the website in May 2019, according to court filings.

“It is indisputable that defendants provided Hamas operative Aljamal, whose connections to Hamas were publicly known, with a US-based and taxpayer subsidized platform to publish Hamas propaganda and to pass the material off as independent journalism,” the lawsuit says.

Jan was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7 last year while he attended the Nova Music Festival. He was held hostage for 246 days, along with Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, at Aljamal family’s home in Nuseirat, according to the Israeli Defense Forces.

Jan claimed he was “abused and mistreated” by his captors, according to legal papers.

Aljamal, who wrote articles for the website lamenting the evils of war and had also worked as a spokesman for the Hamas Ministry of Labor, continued to have his work published by the Palestine Chronicle until just before the June 8 rescue operation.

He and his family were killed during the raid, according to reports.

The article concludes:

Two board members of the non-profit are also named as defendants in the lawsuit. Ramzy Baroud, editor-in-chief of the Palestine Chronicle, is also a non-resident scholar at the University of California Santa Barbara’s Orfalea Center for Global and International Studies and a Senior Research fellow at the Center for Islam and Global Affairs (CIGA).

CIGA hosted a conference in 2021 that was sponsored in part by Hamas and is directed by Sami Al-Arian, who has been convicted of terrorism-related crimes and deported from the US.

John Harvey, who describes himself as a Buddhist priest and is also on the board of the group, is also named as a defendant in the lawsuit. He incorporated the People Media Company in 1999, according to public records.

It is time to examine the role that some nonprofit organizations are playing in supporting terrorism, illegal immigration, and other activities not conducive to law and order.

If This Is A Surprise, You Haven’t Been Paying Attention

There is a website called Discover the Networks. It is an amazing website that provides a lot of insight into the core of elites that are currently running our country and running influence operations in our country. If you have investigated any of the connections–social and otherwise, the following information will not be a surprise to you.

On Wednesday, Breitbart reported that Huma Abedin, the former aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is now engaged to Alex Soros, the son of left-wing activist George Soros. This is a merger of the Clinton and Soros influence peddlers. I am not sure how this impacts the Obama family. That remains to be seen.

The article reports:

Several sources informed Page Six that the younger Soros, who is ten years younger than she, proposed to Abedin, the ex-wife of former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), a convicted sex offender, about six weeks ago.

The article concludes:

The Daily Mail has described the younger Soros as having been “known as a playboy heir” for a large portion of his life:

For much of his life, Alex was known as a playboy heir who threw lavish parties in the Hamptons and attended many a red carpet event – until last year when he was named as the official heir to his father’s $25 billion Open Society Foundations (OSF) empire in a shock decision that saw him usurp his older brother Jonathan in a corporate battle that many likened to the HBO series Succession.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Soros said that he would be more politically involved than his father had been and would financially support issues like abortion rights.

Stay tuned for abortion being a major issue in the 2024 presidential campaign, with multiple lies and half-truths included.

The Sky Is Falling! The Sky Is Falling!

The mainstream media is desperate to distract the public from the failing health of our current President. I honestly feel sorry for the man, but I also believe it is time for him to retire–NOW–not in the future. I understand the consequences of that, but he’s obviously not running things right now. All his retirement would mean is replacing Jill Biden with Kamala Harris. So what is the shiny object put forth to distract us–Project 2025, a suggested policy framework for the Trump administration if President Trump is elected. The lies are flying fast and furious.

On Tuesday, The Daily Signal listed some of the current lies:

1. ‘Terminates the Constitution’

Ironically, the Biden campaign claims that Project 2025 “terminates the Constitution.” While the campaign backs up some of its claims on the website with drop-down menus and explanatory bullet points, it doesn’t even bother backing up this particular claim.

Contrary to Biden campaign spin, Project 2025 actually represents an attempt to restore the Constitution, not terminate it.

Bringing the administrative state more firmly under the control of the president, whose authority traces directly from the Constitution, could not be further from terminating this quintessential founding document.

2. Gives Trump ‘More Power Over Your Daily Life’

With no sense of irony, the Biden campaign claims Project 2025 aims to “give Trump more power over your daily life.”

That’s completely false. Project 2025 aims to weaken the bureaucracy that churns out tens of thousands of pages of rules every year. A more restrained administrative state translates into less control over Americans’ daily lives, not more.

3. ‘Guts Democratic Checks and Balances’

The Biden campaign claims Project 2025 “guts democratic checks and balances on presidential power,” but the fine print on the website makes a consequential admission about these checks on Article II powers.

The website claims that the project will empower a president “to fire and replace independent civil servants across the government with extreme MAGA loyalists—turning independent government employees with specialized technical expertise, such as the people who keep our food safe, working for the American people into political creatures implementing his extremist agenda.”

The article concludes:

The Biden campaign’s lies come across as a desperate attempt to distract Americans from the president’s horrific debate performance last month and from the many ways that the Left has twisted the administrative state to its purposes.

Biden is so insistent on defending the status quo because the Left has already done what he claims Trump is trying to do—leverage the “expertise” of the administrative state to shove its agenda down Americans’ throats without a single vote. Contrary to his spin, reversing this is both democratic and constitutional, not to mention in the best interests of the American people.

Please follow the link to the article for further details. The current mainstream reporting on this is fear-mongering, and we need an informed public to make sure it doesn’t work.

What Is Project 2025?

On Wednesday, The Dossier posted an article detailing some of what is in Project 2025, a framework for the Trump administration created by The Heritage Foundation..

The article notes:

Democrats are attempting to make the Project 2025 agenda analogous to the dystopia observed in The Haindmaid’s Tale (now the go-to book for liberal references. Their previous #1 in Harry Potter has been sidelined, given that J.K. Rowling has pushed back against the trans agenda), declaring that women, racial minorities, and the LGBT people will become second class citizens under the Project 2025 framework.

…Last week, President Trump took to Truth Social to declare that Project 2025 has nothing to do with him, using aggressive language to distance himself from the operation. The former president has made it clear in the past that he doesn’t want outside entitites overstepping their role in his policy agenda. It seems that this is what motivated his decision to speak out, and not the idea that the initiative, which is staffed by many of his former White House personnel, is somehow at odds with his campaign policy framework.

I don’t think that in the Trump administration anyone will doubt who is in charge.

Here is some of what is included in Project 2025:

The Project 2025 initiative is broader than just a policy guidebook. It is based on four pillars:

    1. the aforementioned document, which is called the Mandate for Leadership.
    2. A personnel database to attract like-minded thinkers for jobs in the Trump Administration. (This is essential in a town like D.C. with so many hostile political animals seeking power.)
    3. The Presidential Administration Academy, which serves as an online education tool
    4. A “playbook” designed for a most effective transition from the time President Trump wins to the day he is inaugurated.

Here are some of the specifics:

On the policy front, here’s a speed overview (and some commentary) of what Project 2025 stands for, from what I’ve gathered via some quick research.

    • Rejecting the climate narrative and embracing reliable forms of energy
    • Rolling back government interventions in the economy and lowering taxes
    • Mixed bag on tariffs policy. Heritage has historically been a pro free trade organization, but in the era of Trump, they’ve sought to take a more pragmatic approach to trade
    • Defunding leftist propaganda in academia
    • Minimizing the power of the administrative state and its bureaucrats, and bringing forward initiatives to make it easier to fire them
    • Mixed bag on foreign policy, rallying around the idea of maintaining American qualitiative military superiority. Some hybrid of a “peace through strength” Reaganesque approach while also taking into account the president’s non-interventionist instincts.
    • Reforming but not eliminating entitlement programs. This is the key area where Heritage has placed itself in a vulnerable position, given how deeply politically unpopular it is to even mention the entitlement behemoth, which consumes the majority of U.S. spending.
    • “Arresting, detaining, and removing immigration violators anywhere in the United States.”
    • Taking on the DEI & ESG agenda in schools and the workplace.
    • Reforming, but not necessarily eliminating, several three letter agencies
    • “Enact the most robust protections for the unborn that Congress will support.” This is a bit of a departure from President Trump’s position, which involves leaving abortion to the states.
    • Getting climate hoax policy out of transportation and infrastructure initiatives

This project is a major threat to the power of the deep state. That is what the hysteria in the mainstream media is about. This project will bring us closer to the government our Founding Fathers created–not the elite deep state we currently have. Don’t believe the lies you are currently hearing.

The Insanity Continues

I live in North Carolina. I live in eastern North Carolina–generally speaking the conservative end of the state. When I look at what is going on in some other areas of the state, I truly wonder if peace with all of our neighbors is possible.

On Tuesday, The New York Post reported:

Duke Medical School claims it is “white supremacy culture” to expect people of color to be on time in a strategic plan for creating an “anti-racist workforce.”

The medical school said its goal is to “catalyze anti-racist practice through education” in a 2021 plan titled “Dismantling Racism and Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the School of Medicine.” The guide — praised by the school’s dean — called out what it deemed “white supremacy culture,” with its purported nitpicking about being on time, dress code, speech and work style. It also contains a series of negative terminology vis-à-vis white culture.

“White supremacy culture is the idea (ideology) that White people and the ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and actions of white people are superior to People of Color and their ideas, thoughts, beliefs and actions,” the document stated.

The document stated that America is rigged for the interests of white people, who get privileges, i.e., the “unquestioned and unearned set of advantages, entitlements, benefits and choices bestowed on people solely because they are White.”

If you don’t provide a standard for people to adhere to, they won’t adhere to it, and everyone will work at a less efficient level. If you arrive at work at 8:30 instead of 8 am, should you be paid for a full day? If you show up inappropriately dressed, should you meet with customers or clients? If you use improper English, do you expect people to assume you are educated and know what you are talking about? Do you expect the engineers you hire to be on board with the idea that two plus two equals four? Setting a standard lets everyone know what the rules are and where the boundaries are. It provides a more efficient workplace and a more pleasant workplace. If the same rules apply to everyone, everyone is more likely to be contented with the rules.

The Beginning Of Sanity

On Wednesday, The County Local News reported that according to the new rules adopted by the Georgia Election Board, all ballots must be hand-counted at the precinct level. That is a plan that will work everywhere. Obviously, the hand counts have to agree with the machine results and the hand counts have to be done in front of observers from both of the main political parties. I have added the observer requirement–I don’t know if that is actually written into the law.

The article reports:

The Georgia Election Board has implemented a new rule requiring ballots to be hand counted at the precinct level by poll officers each day of voting. This ensures that the totals match with the machines, increasing transparency and accuracy in the election process. This decision comes after a 3-1 vote by the board, signaling a commitment to fair and secure elections. Hand counting ballots at the precinct level helps to prevent any discrepancies or errors that may arise from machine counting. Is Anyone Paying Attention To This?

Over the years of this blog (it began in 2008), I have written many articles about the Muslim Brotherhood. I have told the story of the Holy Land Foundation Trial and linked to one of the exhibits from that trial–“An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America.” In September I will be given an presentation on “Terrorism–The Red/Green Alliance.” (If you want further information on the time and location, email me at mary@cctaxpayers.com). Islamic terrorism is real and is a threat to America. That threat is exacerbated by our open southern border, but it would be there even with a secure border.

On Tuesday, PJ Media posted an article by Robert Spencer, the director of Jihad Watch and a Shillman Fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center.

The article reports:

In a June 6, 2024, interview, Sami al-Arian, a former Palestinian Islamic Jihad organizer, stated that “there was a Muslim Brotherhood movement in America… whose early beginnings were in the late 1960’s.” Asked if it was “registered officially,” al-Arian responded, “No, no. This turned into a problem later on.” Nevertheless, he said, “the Muslim Brotherhood movement existed in America. It consisted of people who were Muslim Brotherhood members in their countries and came to the U.S. to study, or people who studied there.”

Al-Arian was a part of it all: “I officially joined the movement… Ideologically, I considered myself part of this, but I officially joined in 1978.” He immediately encountered friction within the movement: “In 1978, there was a clear and major dispute in the organization, between people who settled in America and wanted to open the movement, and turn it into a local movement…They called it ‘localization of the dawa.’ They had a dispute with people who wanted to keep it clandestine.”

Remember: organizations that are engaging in entirely legal and above-board activities have no need to be clandestine. The Brotherhood was thus not engaged in legal and above-board activities. Al-Arian makes this even clearer when he explains that those who favored making the U.S. Brotherhood “a public movement with the ‘localization of the dawa’” were those who were not planning to return to their home countries, while those who were planning to return wanted to keep the group undercover, so that they would not encounter trouble for having belonged to it when they returned to Muslim countries where the governments opposed the Brotherhood’s efforts to impose Sharia.

The article mentions the Holy Land Foundation Trial:

The first indication of the activities of this clandestine Brotherhood organization came in September 2007, with the revelation during the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terrorism funding trial of a document dating from May 1991, “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America.” It stated that “The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions” (p. 7).

This Is An Indication Of Plans To Cheat!

On Tuesday, The Conservative Treehouse posted an article featuring a letter from the White House stating that the Biden administration is strongly opposed to the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAFE) Act and plans to veto any legislation that limits the opportunities for voter fraud. The SAFE Act requires proof of citizenship to register to vote among other things. Since companies are supposed to be in compliance with e-verify in order to hire someone, why shouldn’t voter registration have a similar standard?

The article reports:

The people behind Joe Biden that used illegal voter registration, subsequent ballot harvesting, and ultimately corrupt ballot counting to install Biden into office, have threatened to veto any legislation that would impede their election fraud operation.

The article concludes:

The corrupt states and federal government through DHS and the DOJ, then fight against anything, any effort, any process, that would purge voter rolls or fix incorrect voting rolls.  To use the new electioneering system, the system operators need ballots created, they no longer need votes.  They need ballots.

Downstream from this process that’s where you find the “ballot submission assistance” programs.  This is where the local community networks, regional activist groups and widespread community organizers come into play.  Instead of advertising or the previous electioneering systems around candidate promotion and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts, the majority of donations to the DNC are now used in the ballot assistance programs.

Keep in mind, the origination of the ballots starts with expanded voter rolls.  The rolls contain the registry status of people, regardless of their accuracy or inaccuracy.

I recently asked Catherine Englebrecht founder of True the Vote the following question:

Give me your best guess. Can we vote in large enough quantities to beat the DNC ballot creation system currently underway using illegal aliens?

Here is her response:

“Yes, but we need three things:

1. No polling place left unmanned.
2. Eyes/Cameras on drop boxes
3. Courage to fight

My team is working nonstop on #1 and #2.

#3 is the most important.

We can do this.”

No one is trying to deny anyone’s right to vote. What we are trying to do is make sure that the votes of American citizens are not cancelled by the votes of people who do not legally have the right to vote.

An Historic Question

Anyone over the age of sixty remembers the question that pervaded the Watergate scandal–“What did the President know and when did he know it?” That is the question many Americans are now asking about health concerns surrounding President Biden.

On Monday, The American Thinker posted an article about the continuing decline of President Biden.

The article reports:

“What did the president know, and when did he know it?”

This famous question was asked 50 years ago by Sen. Howard Baker about the Watergate scandal.

This eventually brought down President Richard Nixon, leading to the installation of President Gerald R. Ford and his vice president, Nelson Rockefeller.

Neither were elected by the people, they were instead selected by the ruling class.

The article asks:

Should Sen. Baker’s question be asked today, not of the president but his family, handlers, media enablers, and fellow Democrats?

A quote attributed to Mark Twain, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes” may be playing out this summer, rhyming with Nixon’s resignation and an installed president.

Except to President Biden’s family, loyal Democrats, much of the corporate media, and paid Twitter fanboys and fangirls, Biden appears to be suffering from dementia.

There is the caveat and peril of diagnosing someone from afar. This is called the Goldwater Rule over a group of psychiatrists opining on Goldwater’s mental state as the Republican presidential candidate running against Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

Recently in a speech in Philadelphia, President Biden thanked Philadelphia for helping him win the race when he ran for Senator. When did Philadelphia vote in Delaware Senate races? This is only one of many recent statements that simply are not logical or coherent.

The article concludes:

President Biden is reportedly functional for only a six-hour window from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Who takes the proverbial 3:00 a.m. phone call? Hunter? Dr. Jill? The confabulating White House press secretary? Has this been the case for Biden’s entire presidency?

Last week in Copenhagen, I was asked by a tour guide, “What’s the matter with your president?”

The world knows Biden is a PINO – president in name only. Who is in charge? Who is making potentially world-altering decisions? And why and for how long has this been covered up?

This is not your crazy uncle kept in his room when you have company. This is the leader of the free world. His policies and decision can make or break countries and civilizations.

What did they know and when did they know it? Will the media ask? Will Congress? Or will it take a special counsel appointed by Trump’s attorney general to ask the question framed around election interference and insurrection? There needs to be a reckoning, with punishment for those running a shadow government in contradiction to the U.S. Constitution.

I expect this charade to end quickly, possibly by the end of the week.

It’s Dangerous To Tell The Truth

The administration that claims that President Trump is a threat to democracy seems to have a way of eliminating voices that say things they don’t appreciate. Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro are in prison, and now Andrea Lawful-Sanders is unemployed. Andrea Lawful-Sanders is the host of the radio show “The Source” on WURD in Philadelphia. The station describes itself as “the only black-owned and run talk radio station in Pennsylvania.”

On Sunday, The Conservative Treehouse reported:

According to WURD, radio host of “The Source,” Andrea Lawful-Sanders, was fired for accepting scripted questions from the White House for use in the interview with Joe Biden. [Press Release Here] However, in the non-pretending reality of the situation, everyone understands Mrs Lawful-Sanders was actually fired for revealing the Joe Biden White House sends scripts for media personalities to use.

Mrs Lawful-Sanders was not fired for using the questions, she was fired for revealing them. The message from the only black-owned radio station in Pennsylvania, was a warning to others not to tell the public how the fraud around Joe Biden is created.

The article concludes:

In order to believe the statement by the radio station, you would have to believe the black-owned radio station that operates in the #1 destination for Joe Biden’s visits (Philadelphia), which was targeted for use by the White House communication team that is assembling another race-based candidacy, had no contact with the communication team of the President to organize the schedule, production, purpose and content of the interview.

That level of pretending is just silly. Nope, Mrs Andrea Lawful-Sanders was fired for being honest about how the process is done.

The people who handle Joe Biden are responsible for her firing.

Black livelihoods matter? Nope, not when they run against the narrative used to control black lives.

Welcome to government-controlled media.

I’m A Little Late On This, But I Think It’s Important

On July 1st, Townhall posted an article about the presidential debate. All of us who saw the debate drew our own conclusions, but I want to talk about some things that happened after the debate. Jill Biden revved up the crowd at Waffle House by calling President Trump a liar. Generally speaking, that is the charge that Biden supporters make against President Trump. They never quite get down to specifics, but that is the talking point.

Townhall reports:

Although news articles often call Donald Trump a “liar,” I don’t think I have ever seen that term used when discussing Joe Biden. Following the first presidential debate in June, fact-checkers at the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal accused Trump of numerous falsehoods. But they couldn’t find a single Biden falsehood.

…With respect to Trump, they can’t see the forest for the trees. With respect to Biden, they can’t see the trees.

Immigration. Let’s start with the most blatant falsehood in the entire election season. Last January, Biden claimed, “I’ve done all I can do” to secure the border. He has taken almost 300 executive actions on immigration. Nearly all of these actions made immigration easier, including revoking some of Trump’s policies on his first day in office.

The second worst falsehood is his claim that he needs Congress to act. “Just give me the power I’ve asked from the very day I got into office,” he told reporters. Yet he operates under the same congressional laws as presidents Obama and Trump.

Trump states correctly that innocent young girls have been raped and killed by illegal immigrants. He is justified in saying that those girls would probably be alive today if the Trump immigration policies were still in place.

We are not vetting the immigrants we apprehend, to say nothing of all the got-aways. We don’t really know who they are or where they are. Some are connected to terrorist organizations. FBI Director Wray has testified that there is a serious fear of another 9/11.

…In the debate, Donald Trump claimed that Democrats in general and Biden in particular believe in the legality of killing babies after they are delivered. Even though a Democratic Virginia governor once seemed to suggest that, it is probably not factually correct. But it is very, very close to being correct. For most Democratic candidates, abortion should be legal one minute before delivery, and possibly even during delivery.

…Deficit spending. Some fact-checkers claim that when Trump attacked Biden for running up debt, that was another falsehood. It is true that the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget claims that Trump accumulated twice as much debt as Biden. Yet, this claim has been refuted by the House Budget Committee. Moreover, the official scorekeeper on this question is the Congressional Budget Office, whose ten-year projection finds that Biden’s policies will add far more to the national debt than Trump’s policies.

Please follow the link to the article for further examples. Remember, when you can’t win on policy, attack your opponent personally. It’s not an honest way to run a campaign, but it often works.

How About Sharing With Homeless Veterans?

On Friday, Breitbart reported the following:

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) is expanding his program that rewards newly arrived migrants with pre-loaded debit cards for food — paid for by New Yorkers who remain some of the most tax-burdened residents of the United States.

Adams started the debit cards-for-migrants program in February, noting that it would cost about $53 million to provide roughly 500 migrant families with the prepaid cards meant only for food. The program came even as a study recently found that 56 percent of New Yorkers live near the poverty line.

According to The New York Times:

The debit cards are expected to be distributed to more than 7,300 migrants over the next six months at a cost of about $2.6 million, city officials said, building from a pilot program that began earlier this year with roughly 900 families, or nearly 3,000 migrants. [Emphasis added]…

With more than 60,000 migrants currently in the city’s care, the program — which is expanding from three hotels to 17 — could serve about 1,230 people per month, or roughly 2 percent of the total migrant population. [Emphasis added]

The program is part of a contract with Mobility Capital Finance, known as MoCaFi, that could eventually cost the city as much as $53 million, with as much as $2 million going to the company and the rest being distributed to families, city officials said. Under the pilot program, a family of four with young children received about $350 per week for a month. [Emphasis added]

I don’t want anyone to go without food, but why can’t we just send them home since we can’t afford them?

Hotels are being paid to house the illegals. Again, why weren’t hotels being paid to house homeless veterans?
