This Is Beyond Ridiculous

The things that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is finding that we are spending taxpayer money on are totally ridiculous.

On Wednesday, Breitbart reported the following:

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cancelled several grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on Tuesday, including over half a million dollars going to a “pregnancy prevention program for transgender boys.”

DOGE, led by tech mogul Elon Musk, revealed in a late night X post that NIH had just ended the following grants:

– $620K for “an LGB+ inclusive teen pregnancy prevention program for transgender boys”

 – $699K for studying “cannabis use” among “sexual minority gender diverse individuals”

 – $740K for examining “social networks” among “black and Latino sexual minority men in New Jersey”

 – $50K for assessing “sexual health” among “LGTBQ+ Latinx youth in an agricultural community”

 – $75K for researching “structural racism”

The article notes:

The latest NIH grant cancellations come just a week after DOGE announced the cancellation of grants from the agency that were geared toward transgender experiments on animals, Breitbart News reported.

This Might Be Part Of The Problem

On Tuesday, Breitbart posted an article about the recently passed Continuing Resolution (CR). The article might explain part of the reason we are having so much trouble bringing down the federal deficit.

The article reports:

Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) revealed on The Alex Marlow Show that one Republican lawmaker bristled about how the stop-gap spending did not have any earmarks, including his own.

Perry spoked to Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Marlow as the House passed the stop-gap spending bill, otherwise known as a continuing resolution (CR), that freezes government spending for six months.

The Pennsylvania conservative argued that the advancement of the CR is a victory in itself, as it blocked congressional leadership from advancing an omnibus spending bill.

“What’s different and the context about this is that we didn’t get our appropriations done, but our leadership wanted to do an omnibus. They wanted that four corners deal. The CR is not the four corners deal. They don’t want the CR; they’ve been forced into it by people like me and quite honestly, the president,” Perry said.

The former Freedom Caucus chairman also cheered the CR’s lack of earmarks.

“There are no earmarks in this thing,” he said.

I am not a fan of CR’s (although I believe this one is necessary), but I am a fan of no earmarks.

The article concludes:

“I had a Republican member complaining to me at a meeting this morning. He’s grumbling, well I guess I have to vote for this, but you know, my earmarks aren’t it. I’m thinking, you’re talking to the guy, brother,” Perry said.

“I’m not into that,” he said.

The Keystone State conservative also noted that America has not seen a normal congressional appropriations process. He said that the last time Congress went through the “normal” appropriations process was in 1996.

“We have to find a new way to do business,” he argued.

No, you have to go back to the old way of doing business–the “normal” appropriations process.

This Shouldn’t Happen In America

Over the weekend, Vice-President Vance and his family went skiing in Vermont. What should have been a welcome break from the pressure cooker that is Washington, D.C., turned into something very different. Vice-President Vance and his family were moved to an undisclosed location due to pro-Ukrainian protesters.

Breitbart reports:

Star Trek star George Takei cheered on leftists who crashed Vice President JD Vance’s family ski trip, which resulted in the Vice President and has family having to be moved to an “undisclosed location.”

“Protestors met JD Vance in Vermont when he went to vacation there today,” Takei wrote in a Saturday post on the leftist echo chamber social media platform Bluesky, adding, “This is a good one,” and sharing a photo of a protestor holding a sign that read, “VANCE IS A TRAITOR, GO SKI IN RUSSIA.”

…Notably, Democrat lawmakers, mainstream media journalists, celebrities, and other Ukrainian sycophants took to social media, where they parroted the same anti-Trump and anti-Vance talking points and spun the narrative as to how Fridays meeting with Zelensky unfolded.

The article notes:

As Breitbart News reported, the United States has already authorized around $175 billion in taxpayer dollars for support to Ukraine.

The Vice-President should be able to enjoy a peaceful weekend with his family. It is unfortunate that free speech has turned into a right to ruin someone’s vacation time. The media needs to tone down its rhetoric.

What Is Zelensky Fighting For?

Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the White House on Friday. It did not go well for him. First of all, in my opinion, showing up at the White House to meet the President in gym clothes is disrespectful. There are restaurants who wouldn’t let Zelensky in dressed like that! Second of all, evidently the agreement had been worked out beforehand, as is the custom with these events. Instead of simply signing the previously worked out agreement, President Zelensky decided he wanted some things changed. He made his request publicly instead of in private, as is the custom. The first rule of holes is to stop digging; President Zelensky chose to ignore that rule. The look on his Ambassador’s face tells the whole story. She at least understood what was happening.

On Friday, Breitbart posted an article about the meeting.

The article reports:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) praised President Donald Trump for giving “a masterclass on how to stand up for America” after kicking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky out of the White House after he made several “disrespectful” comments.

As Breitbart News’s Katherine Hamilton previously reported, Zelensky’s comments were made “in front of the media ahead of planned private talks and the expected signing of the much-discussed minerals deal.”

After Zelensky was kicked out of the White House, the “White House confirmed” that Zelensky had not signed the minerals deal and Trump issued a statement in a post on Truth Social stating that he had “determined that President Zelensky is not ready for Peace if America is involved.”

I have a feeling that the gravy trail with kickbacks that has been going to Ukraine for the past few years is about to end.

Accountability?

In September 2024, I posted an article about the fast-tracking of  George Soros’ bid to take over hundreds of Audacy radio stations. The stations air such shows as Sean Hannity, Dana Loesch, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck and Erick Erickson. Well, not so fast. George Soros may have every right to buy those radio stations, but there is a review process involved, and that process was skipped.

On Tuesday, Breitbart reported the following:

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr will brief the Republican Study Committee on Wednesday about George Soros’s “unprecedented” scheme to take over 200 Audacy radio stations.

Carr will detail how the FCC, under Democrat leadership, approved a license deal delivering leftist billionaire Soros over 200 Audacy radio stations.

Soros reportedly took foreign investment to make his bid for the 200 Audacy radio stations, which cover 40 media markets, and asked the commission to make an exception to the normal review process.

This is reportedly the first time such a deal was fast-tracked without a national security review process, which normally takes at least a year.

The article concludes:

Carr continued, “Did they obtain approval from the FCC for their excessive foreign ownership? No, they did not. Did the Applicants afford the Executive Branch agencies with national security and relevant policy expertise an opportunity to consider their application as well as the source and amount of foreign investment? No, they did not.”

“First, I just have to point out: a Commission eager to fast-track a billion dollar broadcast media reorganization, disregarding foreign ownership concerns,” FCC Commissioner Nathan Simington noted in a statement at the time, “is the same Commission that has gone back to the well several times to impose and re-impose foreign sponsorship identification rules on our smallest independent broadcast license holders every time they place local church content on the air.”

Simington added, “Just saying.”

The main issues in the approval are the fact that the approval was given without seeking public comment on altering established regulations, without actually changing the rules, and without enabling Executive Branch agencies with national security and specific policy expertise to weigh in (because of the foreign investment involved).

The Money Machine Is Drying Up For The Cartels

On Monday, Breitbart posted an article about the migrant smuggling machine that has made so much money during the past four years.

The article reports:

What was once a “well-oiled migrant smuggling machine” into the United States has collapsed thanks to President Trump’s border enforcement and promise to deport every illegal alien in the country. So, to make money now, many of these same smugglers are taking self-deportees back to Venezuela.

Naturally, the far-left Associated Press reports on this as though it’s a bad thing…

“They once braved the jungles of the Darien Gap, trekking days along the perilous migrant passage dividing Colombia and Panama with a simple goal: seek asylum in the U.S.,” reports the AP. “Now, boat-by-boat, those migrants … have given up after President Donald Trump’s crackdown on asylum, and are returning to the countries they once sought to escape.”

Hey, all Trump did was enforce the law. If people want asylum, there is a legal way to ask for asylum at a point of entry. These folks didn’t do that. Former President Joe Biden tried to aid and abet their lawlessness with an app that would grant them an asylum hearing, but that’s now how it works, that is not the law, and Trump killed the app.

So now, tee hee…

After explaining that the boats had until recently been “part of a well oiled migrant smuggling machine” that was extremely lucrative for the smugglers, who took advantage of a seemingly unending influx of “hundreds of thousands” heading in the United States, AP came to my favorite part:

“But now that much of the Darien’s migrant smuggling industry has collapsed, some smugglers are taking advantage of the reverse migration to charge steep costs to migrants – between $200 and $250 per person, including minors – for the boat rides.”

I admit that our immigration system is broken and needs to be fixed. However, as long as we elect politicians rather than patriots, that system is not going to be fixed. Meanwhile, we need to enforce the laws as they are written. When illegal aliens self-deport, it saves the government money. That is not a bad thing.

Misspent Money

On Sunday, Breitbart reported that a church in New Jersey has had to lay off 195 workers as a result of the cuts to USAID. The church was receiving millions from USAID to help migrants. My question is if they had to lay off 195 workers, how much of the money they were receiving actually went to the migrants?

The article reports:

Leaders with the Reformed Church of Highland Park told Shore News Network they laid off 195 workers after President Donald Trump’s administration stopped federal money from going to migrant resettlement programs, the website reported Sunday.

…The outlet said it “confirmed layoffs through a WARN notice filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor.”

It continued:

The church, which had received $18 million in aid from USAID to place migrants in jobs across New Jersey, is now struggling to keep its programs running. Reverend Seth Kaper-Dale said his organization is owed more than $1.3 million for services rendered in January alone and warned that without immediate support, key programs could collapse.

“For the past 3.5 years, we have experienced that refugees and immigrants are a blessing,” Kaper-Dale said. “Since January 20th, everything has collapsed.”

According to the church’s website, it has had an “active immigration committee since 2002, when our members first started sharing their experiences of trouble with the U.S. Immigration System.”

I have no objection to a church resettling migrants that are legally here with their own money. I just see no reason for the American taxpayers to have to pay for the church’s charitable activities.

This Shouldn’t Surprise Anyone

On Wednesday, Breitbart posted an article about how the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has been spending its money.

The article reports:

Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) Doug Collins confirmed that the Biden administration’s VA diverted “manpower” away from Veteran Care (VC) to help illegal migrants obtain health care.

In an interview with Andrew Wilkow of the Wilkow Majority on SiriusXM Patriot, the new VA secretary revealed that after stepping into the role earlier this month he found instances of time being used to “process health applications and stuff” for illegals:

The article explains:

“Did the VA, under the previous administration, move resources away from Veteran Care into benefits for illegals… Did it happen, or are we going to look into it?” Wilkow asked Collins, who served as a Republican U.S. congressman from Georgia from 2013 to 2021. 

“I think what we’ve found…not maybe much invested, but — We actually took time away from what I’ll call Veteran Care to process health applications and stuff, is what we’ve seemed to find, and we’re still looking into this,” Collins replied. “That’s going to stop.”

“I mean, I know they weren’t putting illegals in Walter Reed —,” Wilkow added.

Collins responded, “No, no, no, but there was a use of resources that were going to help process this mass claim. It could be better directed.”

Again clarifying that illegal migrants were not receiving medical procedures from VA hospitals, Wilkow asked if VA “manpower may have been used” to help illegal aliens.

“Yeah, that’s what we’ve seen so far,” Collins confirmed.

All Veterans Affairs resources should be used for veterans. We have no obligation to people who are here illegally and have broken our laws to be here. How many veterans have waited long periods of time to get the services that they needed and were entitled to because the administrative arm of the Veterans Administration was directed elsewhere?

Investigating The Cause Of “Broke”

In recent days we are learning a lot about how Washington, D.C. works. Most of it is not surprising, although the volume and depth of the corruption we are uncovering is a little unnerving.

On February 13th, Breitbart posted an article about changes being made at the Kennedy Center in Washington. Ric Grenell is currently serving as the interim executive director of the Kennedy Center.

The article reports:

Opened in 1971, the center was named in 1964 as a memorial to assassinated President John F. Kennedy. It often hosted woke events during the Biden administration. Situated on the eastern bank of the Potomac River down the road from Georgetown, its exterior was also lit in a rainbow color light display.

“Ric shares my Vision for a GOLDEN AGE of American Arts and Culture, and will be overseeing the daily operations of the Center,” Trump posted on social media. “NO MORE DRAG SHOWS, OR OTHER ANTI-AMERICAN PROPAGANDA — ONLY THE BEST. RIC, WELCOME TO SHOW BUSINESS!”

The Kennedy Center has a $240 million dollar budget, yet has zero cash on hand, the source told Breitbart News.

It’s difficult to have a budget of $240 million and have no cash on hand.

The article notes:

Grenell has already made changes to the budget. He fired several highly paid executives and slashed the payroll by $2.4 million, the source added.

The fired executives include the Center’s former president and general counsel.

He will apparently hire new staff with salaries six figures lower than the salaries of those previously in the executive roles.

New members of the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees were also announced.

Those include President Donald Trump, Susie Wiles, Dan Scavino, Allison Lutnick, Lynda Lomangino, Mindy Levine, Usha Vance, Pamela Gross, John Falconetti, Cheri Summerall, Sergio Gor, Emilia May Fanjul, Patricia Duggan, and Dana Blumberg.

I am looking forward to a Kennedy Center that spotlights the best of American artistic talent.

Down The Rabbit Hole With Alice In Wonderland

Sometimes the media spin is just so ridiculous it is funny. I am still trying to figure out how a President reining in government spending is a threat to the Constitution. It seems to me that President Trump is simply doing what he was elected to do.

On Tuesday, Breitbart posted the following:

Establishment media outlets appear to be laying the groundwork to impeach President Donald Trump and perhaps a few of his team members, based on the president’s purge of the so-called “deep state” or administrative state.

Reporters and pundits’ portrayal of Trump’s actions appears to be a signal for what is perhaps to come if Democrats gain control of the House in 2026.

Legacy media and Democrat operatives appear particularly upset that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) gained access to the federal payment system at the Treasury Department to monitor outflows of taxpayer funds. They are also angered about Trump’s decision to essentially defund many agencies, such as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and fire rogue and corrupt actors within the administrative state.

These allegations, bolstered by think tank “experts,” caused some Democrat lawmakers to publicly demand the impeachment of Trump, the chief executive of the federal branch. Other Democrats, like Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), suggested they should start by impeaching the president’s director of DOGE, Elon Musk.

Considering that President Trump’s approval is about 60 percent and the Democrats’ approval is hovering around 30 percent, the Democrats might want to rethink their strategy. Is fighting fiscal responsibility a hill they are willing to die on?

The article concludes:

The term “deep state” or “administrative state” describes the phenomenon of unaccountable and unelected administrative agency personnel, including the national security apparatus, exercising power to create and enforce their own rules. The administrative state uses its rule-making ability to essentially usurp the separation of powers between the three branches of government by creating a so-called fourth branch of government not formed by the Constitution.

Many unelected bureaucrats within the administrative state also use their position to inflict their own agenda on citizens. For instance, after the “laptop from hell” story broke in 2020, 51 intelligence officials signed a letter that insinuated Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation. Politico peddled the letter under the title, “Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say.” The 51 signatories seemingly knew the Politico story was false at the time because the FBI had the laptop that Hunter abandoned at a Delaware computer repair shop. Former President Joe Biden cited the story during a 2020 presidential debate with Trump to discredit the laptop’s contents. The story was allegedly planted by former Secretary of State Antony Blinken for Biden to use during the event.

It’s time to go back to government of the people, by the people, for the people.

The Art Of The Deal In The Presidency

On Wednesday, Breitbart posted an article about a recent development concerning the Panama Canal. The government of Panama has already agreed not to extend its Belt and Road agreement with China and may possibly end it early. But there’s more!

The article reports:

The Department of State announced on Wednesday that United States government vessels would be allow to travel through the Panama Canal without facing “charge fees.”

In a post on X, the Department of State highlighted how, since U.S. government ships would no longer face fees, this would save the U.S. “millions of dollars a year.”

“U.S. government vessels can now transit the Panama Canal without charge fees, saving the U.S. government millions of dollars a year,” the Department of State wrote.

The announcement from the Department of State comes as President Donald Trump has remained adamant about the U.S. retaking control of the Panama Canal. In December, Trump threatened to retake the Panama Canal, and has accused Panama of ripping off the U.S. and charging U.S. ships “exorbitant” transit fees.

Trump has also accused Panama of allowing China to have control over the Panama Canal.

Giving away the Panama Canal was a mistake made by a weak President with bad advisors. This compromise may be the solution to the Chinese encroachment on the canal.

When Your Past Actions Come Back To Haunt You

We all remember when in 2022 fifty illegal immigrants showed up on Martha’s Vineyard and were escorted off of the island in record time. The residents of the island claimed that it was a ‘humanitarian crisis’ that they were there.I guess being a sanctuary island only works when no one can get to you easily. Well, the actions of the residents of the island need to be remembered in light of recent events.

On Tuesday, Red State posted an article explaining that the residents of the Island are now planning to resist President Trump’s efforts to send illegal aliens home.

The article quotes Breitbart:

Residents of the wealthy, liberal enclave … defended illegal aliens as the Trump administration has ramped up deportations.

Several older residents of Martha’s Vineyard reportedly attended a rally, with some people holding signs that read, “I pledge to resist,” and “Protect people, resist hate,” according to the MV Times. 

[…]

One rallygoer, Marina Kaufman told the outlet that they “have to protect” illegal aliens, citing how “they are part of the workforce of the Vineyard.”

“We have to protect these people because they are part of the workforce of the Vineyard,” Kaufman said. “And they’re human beings. They have children in schools, they’re scared. And it breaks my heart, it really does.”

They are resisting what they actually did a few years ago! They only want to protect illegal aliens when they are not on their island!

The article notes:

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters last Tuesday that all illegal aliens are criminals because they illegally entered the United States after a reporter asked, “How many have a criminal record versus those who are just in the country illegally?”

Leavitt responded:

All of them because they illegally broke our nation’s laws, and therefore, they are criminals, as far as this administration goes. I know the last administration didn’t see it that way, so it’s a big culture shift in our nation to view someone who breaks our immigration laws as a criminal, but that’s exactly what they are.

We seem to have forgotten that breaking the law should involve penalties. Otherwise, what incentive is there to follow the law?

Stopping The Flow Of Money To A Tyrannical Government

On Sunday, Breitbart posted an article about a decision made by President Trump about American dollars flowing to South Africa.

The article reports:

President Donald Trump announced Sunday that he is suspending all U.S. aid to South Africa after the latter passed a law on land expropriation, which many fear could lead to Zimbabwe-style seizures of land owned by white citizens.

The president made the surprise announcement on Truth Social, his own social media platform, on Sunday evening:

There have been reports of white South African farmers being murdered for their land with no consequences for the murderers. America cannot support this.

The article notes:

The issue of expropriation has been simmering for decades in South Africa, given the unequal distribution of land, most of which is owned by the white minority as a result of colonialism and apartheid. But until now, South Africa has been reluctant to follow the example of Zimbabwe, which seized land from white farmers in 2000 and plunged the country into starvation, as few black farmers were successful and many farms were stolen by the ruling party.
South Africa, like the United States, already allows the government to seize land under an authority similar to eminent domain, though the preference is for a “willing buyer, willing seller” transaction at fair market prices.

However, radical black nationalist and communist politicians continue to demand that the government seize the property of white farmers. Though few black South Africans want to farm, the issue remains an emotive one.

The article concludes:

Many white South Africans also believe that the high level of rural crime, including the murders of white farmers, is politically motivated. Trump spoke out against the phenomenon in 2018, and highlighted the expropriation issue.

In addition, South Africa also acts contrary to U.S. interests and alliances on the world stage, notably by cozying up to rival powers such as China and Russia, and also by backing Palestinian terror against Israel in international forums.

We need to end a lot of foreign aid–people can hate us for free!

Getting To The Bottom Of The Scam

On Friday, Breitbart reported that CBS has agreed to turn over to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) the unedited transcript of the “60 Minutes” interview of Kamala Harris.

The article reports:

Trump sued CBS for $10 million over the “60 Minutes” interview, claiming it was deceptively edited to make Harris look good. Published reports said that CBS’ parent company, Paramount, has been talking to Trump’s lawyers about a settlement.

The network said Friday that it was compelled by Brendan Carr, Trump’s appointee as FCC chairman, to turn over the transcripts and camera feeds of the interview for a parallel investigation by the commission. “60 Minutes” has resisted releasing transcripts for this and all of its interviews, to avoid second-guessing of its editing process.

The case, particularly a potential settlement, is being closely watched by advocates for press freedom and by journalists within CBS, whose lawyers called Trump’s lawsuit “completely without merit” and promised to vigorously fight it after it was filed.

…In his lawsuit, filed in Texas on Nov. 1, Trump charged it was deceptive editing designed to benefit Harris and constituted “partisan and unlawful acts of voter interference.”

Trump, who turned down a request to be interviewed by “60 Minutes” during the campaign, has continued his fight despite winning the election less than a week after the lawsuit was filed.

The article concludes:

The network has not commented on talks about a potential settlement, reported by the Wall Street Journal and New York Times. Paramount executives are seeking Trump administration approval of a sale of the company to another entertainment firm, Skydance.

ABC News in December settled a defamation lawsuit by Trump over statements made by anchor George Stephanopoulos, agreeing to pay $15 million toward Trump’s presidential library rather than engage in a public fight. Meta has reportedly paid $25 million to settle Trump’s lawsuit against the company over its decision to suspend his social media accounts following the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Not that I have become overly cynical, but my feeling is that if the Biden administration still controlled the Justice Department, that transcript would mysteriously go missing, and that would be the end of the story. However, there is a new sheriff in town. Also, if we were still under the Biden administration, anything in that transcript that was damaging to Republicans would immediately be leaked to the press.

Exactly Who Is Opposing This Nomination?

On Monday, Breitbart posted an article about the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Considering that President Biden’s Secretary of Health of Human Services was a man dressed as a woman, I find the opposition to RFK, Jr. rather interesting. How many Republicans voted for Rachel Levine?

First, let’s look at Rachel Levine (President Biden’s HHS Secretary).

In May 2020, Newsweek reported:

Pennsylvania’s Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine confirmed on Tuesday that she recently moved her 95-year-old mother out of a personal care home.

Outbreaks in Pennsylvania long-term care facilities make up nearly 70 percent of the state’s coronavirus-related deaths and 21 percent of the state’s positive cases of the virus.

In March 2021, The Washington Examiner reported:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York was not the only state leader to have directed nursing homes to admit patients who had been hospitalized for COVID-19. Governors from Michigan, California, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, all Democrats, enacted similar policies last year as fears grew that hospitals would be overwhelmed with new patients and too few healthcare providers.

So as Pennsylvania’s Health Secretary, Rachel Levine moved Covid patients into nursing homes while removing her mother from the danger. She was approved by Congress as Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Breitbart reports:

A “committee” widely cited in the media as opposing the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services turns out to be a Bill Gates-backed “Astroturf” organization that accepts fake signatories.

The “Committee to Protect Health Care,” cited by NBC News and others, published an open letter declaring that doctors are “appalled by Donald Trump’s reckless decision” to appoint Kennedy. Thousands are said to have signed.

However, there is no verification process for signatories. (Breitbart News was able to sign up as Dr. Donald Duck, OG, of Disney World, FL, specializing in podiatry.) The anti-Kennedy petition simply accepts any signature from anyone.

The article notes:

The Committee to Protect Health Care is a 501(c)4 organization, meaning that it does not have to reveal its donors.

However, a related 501(c)3 charity, The Committee to Protect Health Care Fund, does have to reveal its donors. It is funded in part by the “left-of-center Sixteen Thirty Fund (1630 Fund) and Hopewell Fund.” The Hopewell Fund, in turn, has “hired Arabella Advisors, a leading national philanthropy services firm, to manage its project hosting and fiscal sponsorship services.” The Sixteen Thirty Fund is likewise managed by the Arabella Advisors organization.

Arabella’s donors include “Bill Gates, George Soros, and Mark Zuckerberg,” according to the Capital Research Center: “Each of them has given a tremendous amount of money to (or through) the main network of Arabella Advisors-managed nonprofits and used it to create policy advocacy projects for their favorite pet sociopolitical issues.”

Sometimes all you need to know about a nominee is who the people are who oppose him!

The latest hoax designed to slow down the Trump administration is the smear against Pete Hegseth to try to prevent his confirmation.

Breitbart posted an article on Tuesday revealing some of the details of the people behind the charges.

The article reports:

Danielle Dietrich, the estranged ex-sister-in-law of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who is now claiming he abused his ex-wife, is a lifelong Democrat who is represented by a lawyer working for a prominent Democratic Party-connected firm.

Dietrich is represented by Leita Walker of Ballard Spahr, which “has a strong financial connection to Biden and some Democratic politicians,” according to the Pennsylvania Capital-Star. The news outlet reported:

Individual attorneys at Ballard Spahr have been politically active for at least the last three decades, according to data from Open Secrets. And their giving has skewed to Democrats.

But the firm’s political largesse nearly quadrupled in the Trump era. The previous high was $272,000 in 2008. In 2016, the firm’s attorneys gave $846,000. By 2020, political giving increased to more than $955,000, including $148,450 from a newly active political action committee.

NBC News reported that Senate Armed Services Committee committee staffers were in contact with Dietrich “for several days” before she submitted the affidavit and that she had chosen to come forward in response to a January 18 letter from Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), the top Democrat on the committee, seeking “a statement attesting to your personal knowledge about Mr. Hegseth’s fitness to occupy this important position.”

The court documents and statements by Pete Hegseth and his wife are contrary to the charges:

Hegseth’s ex-wife, Samantha Hegseth, has denied the allegations herself. She wrote in an email to NBC News:

First and foremost, I have not and will not comment on my marriage to Pete Hegseth.  I do not have representatives speaking on my behalf, nor have I ever asked anyone to share or speak about the details of my marriage on my behalf, whether it be a reporter, a committee member, a transition team member, etc.

She added, “I do not believe your information to be accurate, and I have cc’d my lawyer.”

When she was asked what information was not accurate and for comment on the affidavit, she replied on Tuesday:

There was no physical abuse in my marriage. This is the only further statement I will make to you, I have let you know that I am not speaking and will not speak on my marriage to Pete. Please respect this decision.

Next, the Democrats will be pulling quotes out of Pete Hegseth’s high school or college yearbook.

The More We Learn, The Worse It Gets

On Monday, Breitbart posted an article about the ongoing grooming scandal in Britain.

The article reports:

A whistleblower has claimed that an inquiry into the Rotherham child rape grooming gang scandal intentionally avoided implicating senior police officers in a report on local failures to protect young girls in the English town.

The left-wing Labour government of Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has claimed that previous local investigations into Muslim grooming gangs have been sufficient and that a fresh national inquiry into the widespread child abuse and the politically correct failures to safeguard primarily young white girls is not needed.

In an interview with the Times of London, an unnamed whistleblower involved in Operation Linden by the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) said that the investigation was underfunded, unnecessarily limited to Rotherham, and was told where not to look too closely, and thus “barely scratched the surface” of the scale of the scandal.

“We were actively told not to pursue senior officers… It was just largely incompetent. There was just no passion or desire within the IOPC to understand what went wrong in Rotherham and find out why those girls were let down,” the whistleblower said.

The article notes the delicacy of the situation:

Contrary to longstanding denials of politically correct failures from police and local officials, the IOPC had previously found that police in Rotherham had been aware that child rape grooming “had been going on for 30 years and the police could do nothing because of racial tensions,” given that most of the victims were young white girls while most of the perpetrators were of South Asian heritage, a British euphemism typically referring to Pakistanis, or others from the subcontinent such as Bangladeshis and Indians.

The watchdog cited one unnamed Rotherham Police chief inspector as saying: “With it being Asians, we can’t afford for this to be coming out as Rotherham would erupt.”

Frankly, I hope all of the people who covered this up face serious consequences.

The article notes that the majority of the public wants a full investigation:

The latest revelations come amid increasing pressure on the left-wing Labour government of Prime Minister Starmer to launch a national inquiry. Starmer, who has dismissed demands for a national investigation as coming from the “far-right“, ordered members of his party to reject a motion in the House of Commons to open an inquiry.

Contrary to Starmer’s claims that the demand for a full investigation as being a product of the “far-right”, a YouGov survey last week found that 76 per cent of the public back an inquiry. Additionally, a poll from More in Common found that 41 per cent believe that the grooming gang scandal was intentionally covered up.

This Will Eventually Be Overturned

Before I get to the specifics of the sentencing of President Trump, I would like to point out something about the news coverage. It is protocol to refer to a person who has held a government position by the title of the highest position held. The protocol results in the following:  Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, President Clinton, President Obama, President Bush. How many news reports have you listened to that referred to ‘Mr. Trump,’ as he was referred to by Judge Merchan? I don’t think these people are ignorant of the protocol–they are simply biased. Even if he had not be elected to a second term, the correct title according to protocol is President Trump. So the next time you hear a newscaster refer to ‘Mr. Trump,’ understand that they are subtly disrespecting the President.

On January 10th, Breitbart reported:

Justice Juan Merchan sentenced President-elect Donald Trump to an unconditional discharge in the Manhattan business records case on Friday, which does not penalize him, though it upholds the jury’s felony conviction.

…Trump–who did not take the stand and was gagged from speaking about witnesses, including his disgraced former attorney Michael Cohen and adult film star Stormy Daniels, as well as counsel in the case other than Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg–addressed the court virtually from Mar-a-Lago.

“I assume I’m still under a gag order,” Trump said, per the New York Times’s Maggie Haberman. “But the fact is, I’m totally innocent.”

The article concludes:

He (President Trump) criticized prosecutor Matthew Colangelo, an ex-Biden official who joined Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, and Cohen, who he called a “totally discredited person,” per Haberman’s reporting from the courtroom.

Prosecutors in Bragg’s office had initially hoped to freeze sentencing for the duration of Trump’s term, which would have meant he could potentially be sentenced to prison time once he left office.

Trump’s legal team sought to have the case dismissed and the verdict vacated, citing the Presidential immunity doctrine, the Presidential Transition Act, and the Supremacy Clause, among a number of other arguments in a 72-page motion, which Merchan denied.

The case is People v. Trump, No. 71543/23, in the Supreme Court of New York County.

So what does this actually accomplish? It gives the self-righteous Democrats and RINO Republicans the ability to refer to President Trump as a convicted felon until the case is finally overturned by the Supreme Court (as in In the case of Bob McDonnell, who was convicted of a crime, but the conviction was overturned unanimously by the Supreme Court 9-0).

This case will eventually be seen as a blight on the American judicial system.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Has Resigned

On Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that he is resigning. He plans to remain as a caretaker Prime Minister until the Liberal Party selects its new leader.

On Monday, Breitbart reported:

Trudeau said that if he is “having to fight internal battles,” he would not be the “best option” for the upcoming Canadian election, where Conservatives and their leader Pierre Poilievre are currently favored to win.

Trudeau said he has asked Canadian Governor General Mary Simon to “prorogue” Parliament until March 24. Prorogation means terminating the current session and effectively suspending Parliament until the designated date. Unlike dissolution of Parliament, when the prorogation period ends, the same representatives will reconvene for a new session.

“Parliament has been paralyzed for months after what has been the longest session of a minority parliament in Canadian history,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau has been leader of the Liberal Party since 2013 and became prime minister in 2015. He been under growing pressure to resign after a string of Liberal election defeats, party scandals, and plummeting approval ratings.

The article concludes:

Trudeau’s administration thus became the second Western government to collapse as a result of Trump’s election, the first being the leftist “Traffic Light Coalition” government in Germany. Chancellor Olaf Scholz said within hours of the U.S. election results that Trump’s return was a factor in splintering Germany’s ruling coalition.

President Trump hasn’t even been sworn in yet, and he is making a difference!

About That Peaceful Transition Of Power Thing

Is the peaceful transition of power supposed to include doing everything you can to make things more difficult for the next President? Asking for a friend.

On Monday, Breitbart reported the following:

The Biden administration released 11 Yemeni terrorists, who were captured after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, from Guantanamo Bay.

While the men had been “approved for transfer by national security officials” more than two years ago, they were approved to be transferred to Oman on Monday, according to NPR News.

Oman reportedly “agreed to help resettle them and provide security monitoring” for the 11 prisoners, who are described as being “former al-Qaeda members,” according to records from the U.S. Department of Defense.

The outlet noted that the transfers of the prisoners were “originally scheduled to happen in October 2023,” but were paused “due to concerns” regarding the “instability in the Middle East” in the aftermath of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

That the plan was resurrected during President Biden’s final two weeks in office signals a last-ditch effort by his administration to shrink Guantanamo’s prisoner population and get closer to his goal of trying to close the facility. In recent weeks, the U.S. has transferred four other Guantanamo inmates — a Kenyan, a Tunisian and two Malaysians — and is preparing for the transfer of at least one more, an Iraqi.

This is not smart. In 2015 I noted that about 30 percent of the prisoners released have gone back to terrorism (article here). At a time of heightened terrorism alerts in America and around the world, why would you free terrorists. It should be noted that there are no “former al-Qaeda members.” When dealing with ‘former al-Qaeda members,’ Americans (and others) need to keep in mind that in the Islamic faith there is a principle called “taqiyya,” generally described as lying for the sake of Islam.

The decision to release terrorists is a decision that will come back to bite us. Even if the terrorists we are releasing are older now, they will still be involved in planning terrorist attacks in the future. This was not a wise move.

This Is Happening In America

On Thursday, Breitbart posted an article about what some American children are being taught in Texas.

The article reports:

After a New Orleans terrorist attack by an ISIS supporter from Houston, Texas, and amid intensifying warnings of Islamic terrorist threats within the U.S., a resurfaced clip showing hundreds of American children in Houston wearing traditional Islamic dress, chanting references to Iran’s supreme leader, pledging allegiance to him, and praising martyrdom has reignited concerns over growing homegrown Islamic extremism.

The chilling video, aired by Iranian state media in 2022, raises concerns about the spread of various forms of Islamic extremism within the U.S., highlighting ideological influences that extend beyond specific groups like ISIS or Iran’s regime.

…According to the center’s flier promoting the event for “boys and girls ages 4-14,” the song is described as “an expression of one’s love for the Imam of our age.”

Lyrics of the chant, titled “Salam Farmandeh” or “Salutations, commander,” include expressions of desires to become child soldiers for Khamenei as well as the taking of an oath to become a martyr.

The article concludes:

The matter comes after more than a dozen were killed and dozens more wounded in a terror attack in the early hours of New Year’s Day in New Orleans, in which Texas-native terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar drove a truck with an ISIS flag into a crowd of revelers.

The incident has sparked renewed concerns over the rise of homegrown Islamic extremism within the U.S.

Notably, the Houston-area mosque reportedly attended by Jabbar urged members to refer inquiries from the FBI to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of Greater Houston.

Please remember that CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Trial. If you are not familiar with the Holy Land Foundation Trial and the government exhibits showing the Muslim plan to convert America to a Sharia State, I suggest you start your research here.

I am not opposed to legal immigration, but at some point we need to say ‘no’ to people who do not want to assimilate into American culture. Britain has now introduced Sharia courts. There are Sharia courts in America, but I do not believe their decisions have the weight of actual American law. We need to wake up to the threat that is growing in our own country.

On Wednesday, Breitbart reported that the driver of the truck that drove into the crowd in New Orleans was a U.S. Citizen and an Army veteran who carried an ISIS flag in his truck.

The article reports:

The suspect accused of plowing a pickup truck through a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing 15 and injuring at least 30 on New Year’s Day, is named Shamsud-Din Jabbar, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The article includes a statement by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI):

The subject has been identified as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a U.S. citizen from Texas. He was driving a Ford pickup truck, which appears to have been rented, and we are working to confirm how the subject came into possession of the vehicle.

An ISIS flag was located in the vehicle, and the FBI is working to determine the subject’s potential associations and affiliations with terrorist organizations.

Weapons and a potential IED were located in the subject’s vehicle. Other potential IEDs were also located in the French Quarter. The FBI’s special agent bomb technicians are working with our law enforcement partners to determine if any of these devices are viable, and they will work to render those devices safe.

At what point (and how) was this person radicalized? It is disturbing to me that the man was an Army veteran. Was he a radical who joined the army without revealing his views or was he radicalized during or after his service? I think it would be helpful to know that.

It’s Time To Find The Children

On Wednesday, Breitbart posted an article about one of the priorities of the incoming Trump administration.

The article reports:

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” incoming Border Czar Tom Homan stated that the Trump administration will attempt to locate and rescue as many missing migrant children as possible and “We’ll deal with the immigration consequences later, we’ve got to get these kids back with their families, and we’ve got to make sure they’re protected.”

Homan said, “[U]nder the Trump administration, we had a DNA testing. We vetted everybody in the household, not just the sponsor…to make sure there wasn’t a gang member or a child predator living in that household. So, this isn’t incompetence, this isn’t mismanagement, this is by design, this is about moving as many people into this country as possible, because they see a future political benefit in all of this. Do I think they meant to put [children in harm’s way]? I don’t know that. I have my suspicions. But what they did is harming hundreds of thousands of children, and I’ll tell you right now, some of these children, we’re never going to find. Some of these children are dead. Some of these children are living a life of hell every day.”

In August, The New York Post reported:

The Biden-Harris administration has lost track of more than 320,000 migrant children who crossed the border without parents, according to a shocking new report.

Untold numbers of the children — who were released into the US to “qualified sponsors” — are now at risk of sex trafficking, forced labor and other forms of exploitation, a Homeland Security Inspector General’s report released Monday said.

As of May 2024, there are 291,000 migrant children who arrived in the US as unaccompanied minors who were set free and never given a date to appear in immigration court — meaning there is no way to track their whereabouts.

That is in addition to the 32,000 children that Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities released into the US with hearing dates but then failed to show in court, according to the 14-page report — which tracked a period from October 2018 to September 2023.

One federal whistleblower said that she believes many of these vulnerable kids could already be in the hands of criminals and sex traffickers.

It’s time to close the border to illegal immigrants, and locate the missing children and provide them with the safety and protection they deserve.

 

About That Farm Bill

On Friday, Breitbart posted an article about the ‘Farm Bill.’ Evidently the Farm Bill is not about farms–it’s about food stamps.

The article reports:

The bulk of the Farm Bill is funding for food stamps, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said Thursday during an interview on Breitbart News Daily.

Sen. Johnson walked through some of the issues with the original 1,537-page continuing resolution (CR) negotiated by Speaker Johnson, which is full of pork. One of the stumbling blocks for some is the inclusion of the Farm Bill in the spending deal, but the senator said it is not what it seems.

“It’s a food stamp bill,” Johnson revealed. “80 percent of the Farm Bill is funding for food stamps, and Obama dramatically increased eligibility.”

The article notes:

“It used to be in prosperous times, maybe 6 percent of the population was on food stamps. Then [the] recessions, go up to 12 [percent] 13 [percent], pretty well stuck at that higher limit nowadays, because we pay people not to work,” Johnson said.

“Let’s be honest, we pay people not to work,” he said, noting that the U.S. welfare program is very generous.

“People don’t pay taxes on them [welfare benefits]. We have a huge transfer of wealth from working Americans to people who don’t work. And we’re a compassionate society. We want to help people who can’t help themselves. We want to help people help themselves, but we created a far too large dependent class. That’s got to end,” he said. “We need to get people off the couch. They’ve got to enter the workforce and grow our economy.”

Let’s put work requirements back in order to receive any kind of public assistance. We can exclude the elderly and those with young children, but let’s put people back to work.
