Stopping The Funding Of Terrorism

On Tuesday, The Jerusalem Post posted an article about the funding of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). There are some serious questions about the agency’s relationship to terrorists and terrorism.

The article reports:

European Parliament members from 16 of its 27 member states have called on the EU to cease funding UNRWA over its ties to terrorist groups and lack of commitment to peace.

The EU gives about €80 million-€90 million in funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East each year.

The MPs from Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Cyprus, Romania, Denmark, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Finland, and Portugal wrote to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Monday, expressing their concerns about UNRWA.

Amid the somewhat rocky ceasefire and future of the Gaza Strip, the MPs said it was essential for support to be channeled through partners that share values of peace and reject “the forces of hate.”

UNRWA does not share those values and instead has “shown serious breaches of trust, including staff members connected to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad,” the MPs wrote.

The article concludes:

“According to the UN’s own investigation, nine UNRWA employees participated in Hamas’s attack on October 7,” he (Danish MP Henrik Dahl) wrote.

UNRWA’s headquarters in Gaza were located on a Hamas base with server rooms and a 700-meter-long tunnel, and the terrorist organization used UNRWA schools and warehouses as hiding places for weapons and even Israeli hostages, Dahl said.

“After everything that has now come to light, no one can any longer claim that UNRWA is a ‘neutral humanitarian actor,’” he wrote.

UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer praised the coalition of EU lawmakers.

“Bravo to European lawmakers from 16 countries for calling on the EU to support peace and reject hate by ending funding for terror-infested UNRWA,” he said.

In an article posted at rightwinggranny in October 2024, I noted that the leader of the October 7, 2023 attack worked for UNRWA. I am not convinced that the United Nations is on the side of peace.

One Possible Solution To The Cost Of Health Insurance

On Wednesday, Stephen Moore posted an article at The Patriot Post about the healthcare aspect of the current government shutdown.

The article notes:

The government shutdown has focused debate on the vast sum ($136 billion in 2025, as projected by the Congressional Budget Office) that the federal government spends to annually subsize continually skyrocketing Obamacare health insurance premiums. The Wall Street Journal reports that regardless of how that fiscal tug-of- war turns out, health insurance premiums paid by Americans are expected to rise another 8% or 9% next year.

The mega-health insurers are leading the charge for more subsidies because this money lands right in their pockets. Their profits and stock values have been soaring while the rest of us struggle to pay the rising tab.

One reason health care costs are rising at two to three times the cost of everything else is that the entire insurance market is dysfunctional. Most Americans pay high monthly premiums (or the government pays for them) for coverage they often don’t use.

In 2024, 11.7 million people, more than one-third of those covered by Obamacare, had no medical claims. They, or taxpayers, paid a lot in premiums — for nothing.

But the whole idea of insurance is to protect your family from major expenses — not minor ones. That’s why we have fire insurance on our homes — to protect against the risk of the total loss of your property.

We need a system much more sensible and less costly for patients and taxpayers. We should be encouraging insurance plans with low premiums that cover major “catastrophic” medical expenses but leave smaller expenses — like checkups or minor surgery — to be paid by policyholders directly.

Such policies — known as catastrophic health insurance plans — have been available for several decades. Most of us would be better off financially if we signed up for these plans. With low premiums and coverage for major medical expenses, they are a win-win for families.

Even as regulated by Obamacare, this coverage charges premiums that are only about half the amount of other Obamacare plans. For example, Forbes recently analyzed the premiums of “77 catastrophic health plans nationwide.” The average premium for a 50-year old member is $443 per month, or $5,316 per year, compared to almost $10,000 for the average Obamacare plan, according to Paragon Health Institute calculations.

The article notes that Obamacare makes catastrophic health insurance plans illegal. Many in Congress are quite happy to move Americans to government healthcare and government insurance (as long as they can have their private insurance).

The article concludes:

Sometimes in life the best solution is the simplest one: Stop the hundreds of billions of dollars of wasteful subsidies, the skyrocketing premiums and the “one size fits all” plans that so many of us do not use, want or need — and instead legalize pro-growth catastrophic health insurance plans for all. Stop fattening the checks of the fat and happy health insurance conglomerates like UnitedHealth, who resist paying honest claims but force you to write monthly checks for insurance you don’t use or need.

Let’s Just Stop Pretending All Judges Support Law And Order

On Monday, Breitbart posted an article about a federal judge who has called for the arrest of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) agents who are arresting illegals at the Cook County Courthouse if the agents do not have a warrant. Wait a minute, the judge is supporting ignoring the criminals and arresting those trying to enforce the law. Didn’t the judge take an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution? Are you surprised that the judge was appointed by former President Biden?

The article reports:

A Chicago-area judge has ruled that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers can be arrested at Cook County courthouses if they violate his orders and arrest a migrant without a warrant.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings ordered that ICE officers are barred from arresting migrants at courthouses if they don’t have a warrant. He also ordered that federal law enforcement can be arrested if they violate his orders.

The judge’s order aimed to prevent what are called “collateral arrests” of people whom ICE officers discover are illegal on the spot. These are migrants that ICE agents come across by happenstance while looking for someone they have a warrant to apprehend.

Cummings stated that courthouses must be places where witnesses and suspects feel safe.

“The fair administration of justice requires that courts remain open and accessible, and that litigants and witnesses may appear without fear of civil arrest,” he said in his order.

Judge Cummings also cited in his ruling arrests that have been made recently outside county courthouses where ICE has taken “collateral” migrants into custody in the Chicago area.

The article concludes:

“We aren’t some medieval kingdom; there are no legal sanctuaries where you can hide and avoid the consequences for breaking the law,” DHS (U. S. Department of Homeland Security) said in a statement, according to WBBM-TV. “Nothing in the Constitution prohibits arresting a lawbreaker where you find them.”

Crossing the border illegally or remaining in America after your visa or green card expires is a crime. The duty of law enforcement is to arrest those who commit crimes.

There Are Risks With The Current Technology

On Sunday, Breitbart posted an article about a lithium battery fire on an Air China jet.

The article reports:

Passengers on an Air China flight witnessed a lithium battery burst into flames in luggage that had been placed in an overhead bin on Saturday.

The flight was on its way to Seoul but had to make an emergency landing in Shanghai when the incident happened, the New York Post reported.

…When the battery ignited, travelers began calling out for help to quell the flames.

“Two flight attendants sprinted down the aisle carrying fire extinguishers while others shouted for travelers to remain seated,” the Post article continued.

“A passenger quoted by local media said they heard a loud explosion moments before flames shot from the storage bin,” the outlet noted.

The article notes:

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and local reports said the fire was believed to be caused by a power bank battery.

“The Federal Aviation Administration warns that lithium-ion batteries can undergo ‘thermal runaway,’ a self-heating reaction that can trigger explosions if a cell is damaged, overheated, overcharged or exposed to water,” the Post article said.

In August 2024, a house fire erupted at an Oklahoma family’s residence when their dog chewed on a lithium-ion battery.

A few months later, a lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Missouri caught fire and exploded. All 75 workers at the scene were able to escape, per Breitbart News.

More recently, a huge fire broke out at a California power plant in a building containing lithium-ion batteries, the outlet reported in January.

Solving The Rare Earth Trade Problem

On Monday, The Epoch Times reported that President Trump has signed a trade agreement with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese which will counter China’s monopoly on rare earth minerals.

The article reports:

U.S. President Donald Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Oct. 20 signed a rare earths agreement at the White House, outlining plans for both countries to jointly invest more than $3 billion in critical minerals projects over the next six months.

The White House announced that recoverable resources from these projects are valued at an estimated $53 billion, as both countries work to counter China’s global dominance in the sector.

Trump on Oct. 20 welcomed Albanese to the White House for their first formal meeting to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues, including trade, defense, and the nuclear submarine partnership.

The article concludes:

Australia views China as an increasing threat.

During the meeting, Trump noted that Beijing is paying high tariffs to the United States. He also reiterated his plans to meet with Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping soon.

“I think China has been very respectful of us,” Trump said, while highlighting the billions of dollars in tariffs paid by the communist country.

Existing 55 percent levies will increase to 155 percent if Xi and Trump don’t come to terms when the two meet in South Korea in the next two weeks.

“I expect we’ll probably work out a deal with President Xi of China,” Trump said. “It’s going to be very exciting. I think we’re going to work something out that’s good for both countries.”

Trump said the United States has leverage because domestic companies sell many airplanes, parts, and components to China.

“They threatened us with rare earths, and I threatened them with tariffs, but I could also threaten them with many other things, like airplanes,” Trump said. “You know about airplanes because they can’t get parts for their airplanes. We build their airplanes.”

He suggested China is in a losing position regarding trade.

“I believe that they’re in big trouble, and I don’t want them to be in big trouble,” Trump said.

China has been working to build a monopoly on rare earth minerals for many years. It was shortsighted of western nations not to counter their efforts much earlier. Hopefully this effort is not too late.

It’s A Good Idea To Know Why You Are Protesting

Saturday was a beautiful fall day. It was one of those days where you might want to take a walk around your neighborhood or your city. Some of the older generation in America decided it was a good day to hold a “No King” protest. When you look at the age of the protesters and their professionally made signs, you begin to wonder what this protest was actually about. I suspect many of the protesters were simply living the memory of the good old days when they protested the government, the war in Vietnam, the military draft, etc., with their handmade signs. But what are they protesting today–there is no draft, President Trump has ended a number of wars, and the government hasn’t really changed and President Trump hasn’t been in office very long? There were younger protesters, and their answers as to what they were protesting were very interesting. I wonder what we are teaching our children.

On Monday, The Daily Wire posted an article about the protest. Their reporter asked the protesters what they were protesting.

The article reports:

The Daily Wire team joined throngs of marchers who took to the streets of the nation’s capital Saturday for the 2025 “No Kings” protest.

The Washington, D.C., rally was the focal point of similar events nationwide, meant to counter the “authoritarian threats” posed by President Donald Trump and his administration.

Protesters came prepared with posters and costumes. Many of them had gone through media training and learned chants, songs, and dances to perform. But for all that preparation, many of the protesters The Daily Wire encountered couldn’t answer what we thought was a simple question: “If Trump was elected, how is he a king?”

Responses ranged from blank stares to Kamala Harris-style word salads and vague references to “checks and balances.” Deep in a hole, a self-identified “he/she” claimed that Trump was taking away women’s right to vote. When pressed for information, he/she said “Trump has said that in interviews everywhere.”

High-profile Democratic leaders including Harris and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer encouraged participating on social media and in official statements.

Is Britain Still A Free Country?

On Sunday, The Jerusalem Post posted an article about a British Jew who was detained by London police for wearing a Star of David necklace in public.

The article reports:

Police officers from London’s Metropolitan Police arrested a Jewish lawyer for openly wearing a Star of David necklace, alleging that doing so “antagonized” pro-Palestinian protesters, and that the symbol could “cause offense,” British outlet The Telegraph reported on Saturday.

The lawyer claimed to the Telegraph that he was handcuffed and detained for almost 10 hours in an attempt to “criminalize the wearing of a Star of David.”

Would he have been detained for wearing a Christian cross?

The article reports:

He was arrested at 7 p.m. on August 29 at a pro-Palestine protest outside the Israeli embassy in London, and claims he was monitoring the event for unlawful behavior by the protesters, and to scrutinize the actions of the police officers at the scene.

The lawyer alleges that his hands were cuffed behind his back, before he was put in the back of a police vehicle, and held for questioning.

The Met denies that the arrest was due to the Star of David necklace, saying that the man was arrested after allegedly “repeatedly breaching” an order from officers to keep opposing protest groups separated, the Telegraph reported.

The lawyer claimed that he recorded up to 30 incidents of criminal behavior by the protesters, but insisted that none led to a conviction. He also claimed that he has been personally abused, including being called a “Zionist baby killer.”

“Police are arguing that wearing a Star of David is antagonising to protesters while we have seen all manner of antisemitic slogans on placards and shouted at Jews that have gone unpunished,” he told the Telegraph, in what he referred to as one of the clearest examples of two-tier policing.

It will be interesting to see how this case turns out.

There Might Be A Pattern Here

On Monday, The Gateway Pundit posted an article about some rather sketchy mortgage claims in Letitia James’ past.

The article includes the following:

It all began in the spring of 1983, when a 24-year-old Letitia James and her father, Robert James, posing as “husband and wife,” took out a real-estate loan for $30,300 from Kadilac Funding Ltd. for the purchase of a two-story townhome in Queens. The loan document, signed by both, listed “ROBERT JAMES AND LETITIA JAMES, HIS WIFE” in three separate places. This was no clerical error.

At that time, young Letitia likely lacked sufficient income or credit to qualify for a mortgage as a single woman. The fraudulent claim of marriage to her father allowed her to obtain financing she otherwise couldn’t have, an act that meets the legal definition of mortgage fraud under state and federal statutes.

The fraud continued:

In 2020, James purchased a property at 3121 Perone Avenue in Norfolk, Virginia, signing a document claiming it would be her primary or secondary residence, rather than a rental property, to secure a lower interest rate. That misrepresentation recently became part of the criminal indictment against her for mortgage and bank fraud, carrying a potential 30-year prison sentence.

In 2021, James applied for a $200,000 line of credit mortgage from Citizen’s Bank on her 5-unit apartment building in Brooklyn, but in mortgage documents James claimed it only had one apartment unit. Accordingly, James received a lower residential mortgage interest rate she was not entitled to, and avoided a higher commercial loan rate and much higher closing costs.

In 2023, James bought a home at 604 Sterling Avenue in Norfolk, Virginia. Per Sam Antar, Letitia qualified for the loan only after certifying in an updated application that it would be her “primary residence”, even though she lived in Brooklyn.

The article concludes:

Letitia James’s story illustrates the powerful psychology of rationalized fraud – how one minor deception with her father, rewarded and unpunished, can evolve into a lifelong modus operandi of criminal behavior. Over time, the boundary between being “clever” and criminal became blurred for James, warping her moral compass and creating a sense of entitlement.

The irony is staggering. Letitia James, a woman educated at Howard University and charged with enforcing justice, including mortgage laws, appears to have internalized the very behavior she has prosecuted, including the very charges she filed against her most high-profile target, Donald Trump.

People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

The Numbers Are Out

On Monday, The Daily Caller posted an article about the economic impact  that immigrants from Somalia have had on the Dutch economy.

The article reports:

Immigrants are no longer expected to melt into American culture. In fact, even the suggestion of it is supposedly racist.

A wide-ranging data set out of the Netherlands is going viral this morning. It shows that immigrants from Somalia end up being a net drain on the Dutch economy. At the same time, it shows that North American and Japanese migrants are a net gain for the economy.

In fact, most everywhere that doesn’t have a native Western culture ends up being a massive net drag on the economy. Arab, African, Southwest Asia (Afghanistan et al.), all the Arab states. All in the toilet as far as becoming contributing members of the Dutch economy.

One estimate put the lifetime cost of the roughly 43,000 Somalis living there at around €50 billion, with a B.

People … noticing … these data were also throwing U.K. data around.

Only one in ten Somalis in the U.K. is employed. More than a quarter of Eritreans and just over one in five Somalis are in prison in Scotland.

And what about the U.S.? Did you see the story about the depressed Pennsylvania town with a population of 4,000 that imported 2,000 Haitians to work in a factory? The company defaulted. The factory closed. There are now 2,000 unemployed Haitians with no legal status living in a small Pennsylvania town. 

The article concludes:

We’ve been told two things over and over and over again. 1. Low-skilled, quasi-legal or outright illegal immigration is a net boost to the economy. 2. Forcing immigrants to learn English and adopt Western culture is racist.

I don’t think either of those things is true.

You know what they will do in spades though — as they’re flooding communities and draining economies — vote Democrat.

There is a difference in cultures. Expecting people from non-western cultures who come here in large groups to assimilate is not realistic. As individuals they might assimilate, but in large groups they can stay within their own people and never become assimilated American citizens.

Violence and Transgenderism

Most clear-thinking people realize that trying to change one’s gender from what a person is at birth is extremely abnormal and against nature and God’s plan. Unfortunately, the Marxists in our country think this is just fine, and many actively support this destructive idea. The fact that some medical professionals who take the Hippocratic Oath to do no harm, provide prescriptions, and in some cases surgery, both of which have permanent effects, is difficult to believe, but is happening. There is evidence that people who undergo these transgender treatments commit acts of violence beyond what would be expected from such a small fringe group. Let’s examine why this is happening.

Transgender individuals represent less than one percent of the population (0.7%); yet recent data shows that they commit over 5% of the mass shootings. Here are a few examples: Anderson Lee Aldrich, a man who identifies as a “non-binary,” shot and killed five people in Colorado in 2022; Audrey Hale, a woman identifying as a man, killed three children and three adults in Nashville in 2023; Robert Westman, who changed his name to Robin, killed two children and wounded 21 others in Minneapolis in 2025 and left a message that he was ”tired of being trans”; Cameron Arnold and Bradford Morris, both transgenders, attempted to murder an ICE agent in Texas in 2025; the man arrested for trying to kill Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh in 2022 identified as a woman; and most recently, Tyler Robinson, the alleged killer of Charlie Kirk had a transgender sex partner. These are some of the most prominent examples; there are others. President Trump has reported asking the FBI to look into this problem.

There are groups such as the Armed Queers of Salt Lake City, the Zizians, and the Trans Army which warrant further investigation. The Armed Queers, who describe themselves as a revolutionary LGBQ organization defending oppressed people, are led by a transgender activist whose parents were Iranian immigrants. There is evidence that this group is receiving funds from the Chinese Communist Party. We see in these organizations the traditional revolutionary effort by Marxists to divide our country into factions that have the intent of creating groups of the oppressed and the oppressors.

Looking at the psychological aspects of transgenderism, we see pathology that can certainly be directed towards violence. Gender dysphoria and the desire to change to the opposite sex used to be classified as a psychiatric disorder. However, the World Health Organization removed that designation in 2019 in an effort to normalize what is clearly abnormal. Transgenders have higher rates of depression, anxiety, and a suicide rate that is 20 times higher than the regular population. Once an individual has decided on suicide and also blames others for their problems, they are much more likely to kill others and then kill themselves, something that is frequently seen in mass violence incidents. Administering strong hormones can also be a destabilizing factor in their mental status. It should also be noted that the young people who are most easily persuaded to change their genders often have a history of social isolation and lack of interaction with mentally normal friends. By accepting transgenderism, they are welcomed into a close-knit group and vulnerable to other influences, some of which are antisocial.

Parents of children who start expressing gender dysphoria should seek out assistance to correct that way of thinking. If you live in Colorado, that may be difficult, since their legislature passed a law making it a crime for a medical professional to counsel a child against transitioning. The U.S. Supreme Court is considering a challenge to that law. Let’s hope they overturn it.

Who’s Side Are They On?

Theoretically, American government agencies support the government of America. Unfortunately, lately that depends on who the people elect. In a recent 60 Minutes interview, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner shared some very interesting things about the briefings they received from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

On Sunday, The Conservative Treehouse reported:

During a segment (prompted below) Witkoff and Kushner are outlining the step-by-step process as they engaged the leaders of Qatar, Turkey and Egypt.  Witkoff reveals how the CIA was briefing them both, multiple times a day, and the briefing itself was exactly the opposite of what Emir of Qatar and Presidents of Turkey and Egypt were telling them.  The CIA intelligence was the exact opposite of reality.  WATCH:

What they are describing is EXACTLY why we outlined how ‘outside govt’ emissaries were/are vitally necessary to work around the control agenda of the U.S. Intelligence Community.  This small example is stunning in magnitude when considered around the importance of the moment.

On a positive note, with Witkoff making this stunning public statement, we can now add a major datapoint to President Trump’s reference of NOT TRUSTING the CIA.  Combined with the previous assertions of Marco Rubio and Tulsi Gabbard on essentially the same level of outlook, this example of the CIA getting it wrong (misleading the administration) has long-range ramifications beyond the Hamas example.

At some point, it becomes obvious that the deep state is much more active in various government bureaucracies that most of us originally thought. Although it might temporarily weaken the CIA, it’s time to remove all CIA personnel who have been involved in misleading or undermining the Trump administration. I am sure we can find qualified people somewhere in America who love America and are willing to work for the CIA.

Being Patient In The Search For Peace

Today, the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) posted an article about Israel’s efforts to maintain the ceasefire agreement after two Israeli Defense Force (IDF) soldiers were killed by terror operatives in Rafah, southern Gaza.

The article reports:

Israel on Sunday night reaffirmed its commitment to the U.S.-brokered ceasefire in Gaza, which had been threatened after a series of Hamas attacks on IDF soldiers sparked military retaliation.

“In accordance with the directive of the political echelon, and following a series of significant strikes in response to Hamas’s violations, the [Israel Defense Forces] has begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire,” said the army.

“The IDF will continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement and will respond firmly to any violation,” the statement added.

U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on Sunday evening that the incident would be handled “toughly but properly” and that the truce in the Strip remained in effect.

“We’re gonna have to see what’s happening,” the president said, asked about Israel’s retaliatory strikes. “We wanna make sure that it’s gonna be very peaceful with Hamas, and as you know, they’ve been quite rambunctious, they’ve been doing some shooting,” he said.

However, Trump told reporters that it was possible the terrorist group’s leadership “isn’t involved in that,” suggesting that “some rebels within” launched the attacks on Israeli forces.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance, speaking with journalists on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Sunday night, claimed that “when we talk about Hamas, you’re talking about 40 different cells; it’s disjointed.

The article concludes:

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir had called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday to “fully resume combat in the Gaza Strip with maximum force” in response to the ceasefire violations.

“The false illusions that Hamas will change its ways, or even adhere to the agreement it signed, are proving, as expected, to be dangerous to our security. The Nazi terrorist organization must be completely destroyed—and the sooner, the better,” said Ben-Gvir.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded with one word, tweeting on Sunday afternoon: “War.”

Under the ceasefire deal, Hamas was required to return all 28 hostage bodies it held by Oct. 13. So far, it has transferred 12 to Israel. The Palestinian terrorist organization is also refusing to disarm and intends to remain the ruling party in Gaza during an interim period, both in violation of Trump’s 20-point peace plan unveiled on Sept. 29.

Although I think distrust of Hamas is reasonable and justified, I would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for about a week. Resuming the war too quickly might not be the best course.

Changing The Rules On Your Way Out The Door

On Saturday, The Western Journal posted an article about a change the Biden administration made to the H-1B visa rules. the H-1B visa program has been used by a number of American companies to avoid paying the wages that American workers demand. The visas are particularly common in high-tech industries.

The article reports:

A few short weeks before he left office, staffers for now-former President Joe Biden expanded H-1B visa rules to allow foreign workers to work remotely.

In recent days, a viral social post has noticed that “Hundreds of H1Bs have listed the same residential buildings in Irving, Texas as their address of employment.”

The poster of the data set said that “these scammers are either committing tax fraud by claiming to work in Texas,” or they are “actually working in California or they went back to India and are lying about their work address.”

…According to an investigation from Blaze Media, a trend of H-1B visa holders working from is linked to a Biden administration final rule issued on Dec. 18, 2024, just over one month before the end of Biden’s term.

The Department of Homeland Security thereby decided that remote work in “higher education, nonprofit research, or government research” would be allowed in the form of “telework, remote work, or other off-site work.”

The article notes:

One analysis from the Federation for American Immigration Reform noted that “abuse and fraud have plagued the H-1B visa program” for decades.

“The H-1B visa lobby, primarily tech giants and outsourcing firms, frequently claim that a sustained influx of foreign guest workers is necessitated by labor shortages,” the group noted.

“In fact, the program does not supplement the U.S. workforce. Rather, it supplants able-bodied Americans with foreign workers who are beholden to their employers by virtue of their presence in the U.S. depending upon employer sponsorship.”

In some cases, American workers have even been laid off and then made to train the foreigners hired to replace them.

“This happened in a famous, but not isolated 2015 case involving Disney World and its decision to replace many skilled American employees with foreign H-1B workers and then forcing them to train their replacements,” the analysis noted.

Whoever was running the Biden administration was in the pocket of big tech. I am sure they assumed the change in the rules at the last minute would go unnoticed.

Who Is Paying For This?

When you look at the funding behind the No Kings protests that are going on this weekend, you begin to understand why the Democrats were so upset when the NGO funding from Congress began to dry up.

The Democratic Party’s dark-money NGO network, bankrolled by left-wing billionaires, is reportedly preparing to activate a coordinated, color-revolution-style mobilization across the U.S. this weekend – a replay of failed agitation attempts seen earlier this year targeting President Trump and Elon Musk. The operation, marketed under the “No Kings” banner and portrayed publicly as a grassroots movement, in reality functions as a professionalized protest-industrial complex. Its composition includes a blend of paid activists, white boomers suffering from Stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome, and a smaller contingent of organic, unhinged leftists who recite MSNBC talking points by heart. 

Little do these white boomers know, the “No Kings” movement, supposedly against “kings and billionaires”, is, in reality, funded by leftist billionaire kings themselves. In truth, No Kings is bankrolled by far-left foundations backed by the same billionaire class that has been waging a political war against President Trump since his first term. Essentially, one faction of billionaires hates another, so their woke non-profit soldiers create a front group, brand it “No Kings,” and bankroll an army of paid protesters and unhinged left-wing activists. This is America in 2025: the permanent protest-industrial complex of hate and chaos, financed by the left.

I wonder if those protesting understand the actual goals of the people paying them to protest. I heard an interview on a recent news show of a pro-Palestinian protester complaining that now that there is peace in Gaza, he will be losing his protest money and doesn’t know how he will pay his rent!

Never Get Into A Battle Of Wits With J D Vance!

J D Vance is one of the most media savvy Vice-Presidents we have ever had. I wonder how much longer the mainstream media will allow him to come onto their shows and verbally annihilate their left-wing ‘newscasters.’

On Friday, PJ Media posted an article about J D Vance’s latest handling of the media.

The article reports:

It had to be deliberate: JD Vance is simply too smart and too politically savvy for it to be accidental. (And in just a few paragraphs, we’ll reveal his chess move that — if successful — will end the 2025 government shutdown with a complete and total surrender by the Democratic Party.)

Either way, the pivotal moment is just 24 hours away: Saturday, Oct. 18, the day of the nationwide “No Kings” protests. That’s when we’ll find out if Vance’s bold PR strategy succeeded. (More on that in just a sec.)

But we begin with one simple question: Why the heck did Vance needlessly interject himself in the Young Republican group-text scandal?

If you haven’t been paying attention, three days ago, Politico leaked seven months of Telegram text messages between Young Republican leaders from Arizona, New York, Kansas, and Vermont. Lots of the content was explicitly NSFW.

The contents were horrible. The young people involved are totally ignorant and cruel.

When the “scandal” broke, the Young Republicans had three PR options:

    1. Issue a sniveling, groveling, all-encompassing apology and beg for forgiveness;
    2. Issue a limited apology;
    3. Offer no apology.

The Young Republicans chose option #1 — and they did so with gusto. The Kansas chapter of Young Republicans has already disbanded, and most of the GOP establishment sang from the same hymn sheet as Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.)

A Victory At The United Nations

This may only be a temporary victory, but it is a victory. On October 17th, World Net Daily reported that pressure from Secretary of State Rubio and the State Department team blocked a move to place a carbon tax on shipping worldwide. Unfortunately, the vote delayed the tax–when those behind the tax think they have the votes, it will be voted on again.

The article reports:

President Donald Trump has emerged with a win from a fight with European officials over their agenda to create another carbon tax and raise the cost of items shipped to America.

It was in the United Nations where globalists who adhere to the ideology called climate change, called global warming before the warming essentially stopped, hatched a plan to charge shipping companies for their travels.

“Huge push by @SecRubio and the State Dept team. Strong diplomacy that put American business and consumers first WON THE DAY over an ideological carbon tax from the UN and EU,” Mike Walz wrote on social media.

…Fifty-seven countries voted in favor of delaying the adoption vote and 49 voted against. There were 21 abstentions.

The Washington Examiner explained the decision was “a shock, as many member states of the IMO, a London-based specialized agency within the U.N., were confident there were enough votes to adopt the measure as international maritime law.”

Trump has been opposing the new world taxation plan for months, and recently escalated his objections.

Waltz, U.S. ambassador to the U.N., said the delay was to the component of the “net-zero framework.”

As I have previously stated, we do not yet have the reliable technology for the “net-zero framework.” If we ever create that technology, I will be one of the first to support net zero!

Does This Surprise Anyone?

Recently, The American College of Surgeons released a report highlighting the dangers of driving while under the influence of marijuana. The report is based on a six-year study of a major Ohio county. It is interesting that the study showed no change in THC positivity after legalization. The report is cited in an article posted at facs.org.

When autopsies are performed, drug screening is typically part of the process. The study period included the state’s legalization of recreational cannabis in 2023. 

“I was surprised to see that level,” said lead author Akpofure P. Ekeh, MBBS, FACS, a professor of surgery at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. “An average level of 30.7 ng/mL generally means those people must have consumed marijuana at some time close to driving. This isn’t about residual use; it’s about recent consumption.” 

…The study notes that blood THC levels are typically drawn by the coroner within hours of death, providing an accurate snapshot of a driver’s state at the time of the crash. Most states that have set legal limits for driving range from 2 to 5 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL) — a threshold the average level in this study (30.7 ng/mL) far exceeded. 

“The messaging over the last few years has been just the push towards recreational legalization,” Dr. Ekeh noted. “The problem is that from a public health standpoint, there has not been enough emphasis on some of the downsides and the dangers that can occur. People should treat smoking marijuana just like they treat alcohol: don’t smoke and drive.” 

It is interesting that the legalization marijuana did not impact the numbers of people driving while under the influence of the drug. This could be considered another reason NOT to legalize recreational marijuana–legalization does not solve problems–it simply legalizes a problem that is already there.

There Are Some Serious Fraud Problems In Medicaid

On October 17th, American Greatness posted an article about Medicaid fraud in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The article reports:

The FBI on Thursday raided the home of Cedric Dean, a notorious community activist in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Federal investigators accuse Dean of exploiting homeless people to defraud Medicaid out of millions of dollars. According to federal court documents, Dean used the money to buy homes, cars and more to fund his exorbitant lifestyle. The Feds said they were moving to seize those assets.

According to the civil forfeiture complaint filed by the FBI, Dean allegedly obtained Medicaid information from vulnerable people at homeless shelters, encampments, and halfway houses in North Carolina, in exchange for food or temporary shelter.

Dean then allegedly billed Medicaid for mental health services that were never provided, sometimes using fake diagnoses. He allegedly paid his staff through services like CashApp.

Authorities said his company, Cedric Dean Holdings (CDH), billed Medicaid approximately $14.5 million between September 2024 and June 2025, with nearly $9 million reimbursed, while not operating with enough staff to adequately provide services.

The Feds have seized his bank accounts, vehicles, including two RVs and luxury SUVs, and multiple properties in Charlotte and Shelby, that were allegedly purchased with fraud earnings.

Neighbors who live near one of Dean’s properties in Charlotte, told the media they were concerned about the suspicious nonstop activity at the address.

So he applied for $14.5 million and actually received $9 million. Based on the article, it is amazing it has taken so long to catch up with this person.

The article notes:

Dean has a criminal record dates back to the 1980s, including charges of assault, armed robbery, and kidnapping, according to police.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment in the mid 1990s on federal drug charges.

While in prison, he started an anti-violence foundation, SAVE (Safeguard Atone Validate Educate), to steer children away from gangs. In November 2017, he was released from prison after serving nearly 24 years behind bars.

Dean is also the founder and CEO of the HELP (Heal, Empower, Love, Protect), a substance abuse program that houses people at a north Charlotte hotel.

The article concludes:

The Department of Justice announced in June that its “National Health Care Fraud Takedown” had resulted in 324 defendants charged in connection with over $14.6 billion in alleged fraud.

The Capital Research Center (CRC), a conservative watchdog based in Washington D.C., recently released a report exposing how left-wing organizations have hijacked the homelessness policy space to advance their radical ideologies. CTC’s 113-page research dossier landed on President Trump’s desk last week during the White House’s Antifa roundtable.

When the government is involved in a program, fraud will often follow.

Just In Case You Were Feeling Safe…

On October 17th, Red State reported that a Hamas suspect has been arrested in Louisiana.

The article quotes Fox News:

The FBI has arrested a suspect in Louisiana who allegedly participated in Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

An affidavit accuses Mahmoud Amin Ya-qub Al-Muhtadi, a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, violated federal law by providing, attempting to provide, or conspiring to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization through his alleged involvement in the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack on Israel. He is also accused of fraud and misuse of visa, permits and other documents.

Al-Muhtadi is expected to make an initial court appearance on Friday morning, according to The New York Times.

…”Al-Muhtadi is an operative for the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine’s (‘DLFP’) military wing, the National Resistance Brigades (‘NRB’, also known as the ‘Martyr Umar al-Qasim Forces’), a Gaza-based paramilitary group that participated in the Hamas-led terrorist attack against Israel on October 7, 2023,” the affidavit said. “Evidence shows that on the morning of October 7, 2023, Al-Muhtadi learned about the Hamas invasion, armed himself, gathered others, and crossed into Israel with the intention of assisting in Hamas’s terrorist attack.”

“Evidence shows that Al-Muhtadi’s phone utilized a cell tower located near Kibbutz Kfar Aza in Israel, the location of a horrifying massacre by Hamas and its supporters,” the affidavit continued. “Evidence further shows that Al-Muhtadi provided false information in his U.S. Visa application relating to his involvement with a paramilitary organization, connection to Hamas, participation in a terrorist attack, and military training.”

“As a result of that false application, Al-Muhtadi was able to obtain permission to travel to the United States and obtain Legal Permanent Resident status. Al-Muhtadi is currently residing and working in Lafeyette (sic), Louisiana,” it added.

The article at Red State concludes:

It’s not yet clear if he will be charged here in the United States or if he will be sent to Israel, to let their justice system deal with him, but given the recent peace deal, part of which agreement was a prisoner exchange, it’s not at all clear what his fate would be in Israel. 

This prompts some troubling questions: What was Al-Muhtadi intending to do here, in the United States? How many of his ideological brethren are already here? Where are they? What are they doing? What are they planning? It’s not clear when Al-Muhtadi entered the United States, other than it was after October 7th, 2023. Was he allowed in during the Biden administration’s non-enforcement of immigration laws? 

If we assume (and I think we can) that there are more like Al-Muhtadi already here, can we expect them to eventually try to replicate October 7th here?

Hamas may have been given some breathing space in Gaza. But we haven’t heard the last from them. Not by a long shot.

Saving the Traditional Family

Charlie Kirk discussed many issues as he conducted his debates on college campuses during his famous “Prove Me Wrong!” tour. One of the most important issues that I want to address is his effort to save the traditional family. As a husband and father of two children, he was well acquainted with the reality of living within the traditional family. He loved it! Importantly, he realized that resisting a Marxist takeover of this country relies on the strength of the intact traditional family.

The traditional family structure has been the bedrock of Western Civilization for hundreds of years. In fact, no successful country has ever existed without the traditional family. However, Karl Marx and his partner Friedrich Engels realized that they could not destroy the essence of the free market system without first destroying the traditional family. Sadly, there are many signs that Marxism is being successful in its effort to do just that. The family structure that most of us grew up in is no longer what it was. Our parents would be shocked at many of the things that are occurring now that would have been totally unacceptable in their lifetimes. Why does Marxism want to destroy the traditional family? One reason is that they want people to be dependent on the government, not on each other. That is where their power lies. Another reason is their belief that sexual activity should have no restrictions. Marx and Engels wrote that people should be free to engage in sex with anyone and in any way they wanted, including homosexuality. Allowing homosexual marriage in this country during the Obama administration was a Marxist triumph. Further efforts to undermine parents are occurring in some states like California that have attempted to prevent parents from stopping their children from receiving gender altering medications and surgery. The Supreme Court recently heard a case where the state of Colorado passed a law that prevents medical personnel from counseling children and their parents against receiving these horrific treatments.

Charlie Kirk understood this threat to the traditional family and confronted the problem directly as he debated college students. He would clearly tell them that the importance and rewards of marriage with children far exceed any satisfaction and importance of a career, especially for women. He also made the point that marriage between a man and a woman is divinely inspired, as is having children. Here are some of the examples of how the traditional family is being destroyed, and then I will present some ideas about what we can do to reverse this trend.

In 1960, the average age at first marriage was 23 years for men and 20 years for women. Now, it is 32 years for men and 28 years for women; thus resulting in 40% fewer years for having children. The result has been a significant drop in the average number of children in this country from 4.5 per woman in 1960, to 1.6 per woman currently, which is insufficient to maintain the population. Prior to the 1960s, pre-marital sex was frowned upon and waiting till marriage was considered a virtue. Children are now being instructed in sexual practices in so-called sex education classes that encourage them to engage in sexual activity at a young age and before marriage. Living together before marriage used to be strongly discouraged and a mark of shame. Now, cohabiting before marriage appears to be the norm, frequently going on for years before marrying or breaking up. By the way, couples who live together before marriage are more likely to get divorced.

The traditional family was the provider of not only the continuation of American traditions, history,and values, but also importantly, moral conscience development through a religious framework. Children are not born knowing the difference between right and wrong; they must be taught. The failure to socialize children is glaringly obvious when noting that the percentage of children born out of wedlock in 1960 was 3% for white mothers and 24% for black mothers. Now the figures are 21% for whites; and 70% for blacks. We know that children raised without two parents are less likely to complete high school, are more likely to become addicted to drugs, and are significantly more likely to spend time in prison. No surprise here. Parents are the first teachers of their children and should serve as role models of what they should endeavor to be when they grow up. This does not happen except in the intact traditional family. Also, social media is having an extremely negative impact on children. Increased anxiety, depression, suicide and anti-social behavior have all increased with the use of smart phones by children. Australia, and now Denmark, are banning access to social media sites by children under 15. We should do the same. Our children should not be raised by the social media! The increased divorce rate since the advent of no-fault divorce has also harmed the traditional family. Married people not only report being happier, but they also live longer. This is especially true for couples with children.

How do we encourage a return to traditional families? First, we should do what Charlie Kirk did–speak out in support of marriage and having children, especially to our children and grandchildren. For example, I have two grandsons in their 20s both of whom have been dating their girlfriends for several years. I occasionally would ask them when they were getting engaged. Several months ago, one of them asked me what I thought he should get his girlfriend for her birthday. My reply was “an engagement ring.” Let them know where you stand. By the way they are both engaged now and have set marriage dates. Discourage them from living together before getting married. Encourage them to attend church, and do so yourself to model appropriate behavior. Talk about traditional values, don’t be reluctant. We have to counter the leftist indoctrination in our universities.

From an economic perspective, the Trump administration is developing proposals to provide tax incentives and relief for families with children. Do what you can to assist family members with children financially. Why wait to give them an inheritance when you can help them now when they may actually need it more. The NC General Assembly has recently increased funding for school choice. However, they still have not provided vouchers for homeschoolers. This needs to be done, as it has been done in other states.

Let us all make a commitment to follow Charlie Kirk’s example and support the traditional family which is essential to the survival of our country as we have known it. Otherwise, the Marxists win.

Revisiting An Old Issue

On Tuesday, The Washington Free Beacon posted an article reporting that Representative Elise Stefanik (R., N.Y.) and Senator Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) are urging the Trump administration to investigate the Council on American-Islamic Relations’s links to Hamas. If you have been following RightWingGranny for any length of time, this ‘possible’ link is not a surprise.

In December 2015, I posted:

If Americans want to be fully informed on Islamic terrorism–who it is, what it is, and how it works–they need to be familiar with the Holy Land Foundation trial and the government exhibits that are filed with it. In 2008 the directors of the Holy Land Foundation (America’s largest Islamic charity) were convicted on multiple charges of terrorism financing. The trial revealed a lot about the Muslim Brotherhood in America–its plans, its operations, and its affiliated groups. The government exhibits from the Holy Land Foundation trial are available on line. They are in Arabic, but the English translation follows. There were also numerous Muslim organizations named in the trial as unindicted co-conspirators. Some of the groups with known associations to the Muslim Brotherhood are CAIR, ICNA, MSA, ISNA and others. Yesterday the Daily Caller posted an article about Rafia Farook, the mother of San Bernardino terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook. Mrs. Farook is an active member of Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), a Muslim organization that promotes the establishment of a caliphate and has ties to a radical Pakistani political group called Jamaat-e-Islami.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

In a letter sent Tuesday to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the Republicans argue that CAIR’s “pattern of historic ties” to Hamas, combined with the rhetorical encouragement CAIR leaders have offered for Hamas, may constitute “material support for terrorism.” They cite CAIR’s designation as an unindicted co-conspirator in a 2009 federal court case against the Holy Land Foundation, a Hamas front group, and pro-Hamas rhetoric from CAIR leaders in the wake of the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks.

CAIR executive director Nihad Awad, for example, said in November 2023 that he was “happy to see” Hamas attack the Jewish state, and applauded Hamas operatives for “breaking the siege” against Israel. Cotton and Stefanik noted that Awad is a former leader of the Islamic Association of Palestine, a propaganda arm of Hamas.
