The Impact Of Immigration Without Assimilation

On Thursday, Breitbart posted an article about the number of ‘no-go zones’ in Europe. The number is estimated to be between 900 and 1,000. A ‘no-go zone’ is an area where local law enforcement is weakened and crime rates tend to be high. In Sweden, the Post Office will no longer deliver mail to certain ‘no-go zones.’

The article reports:

Authored by Maxime Hemery-Aymar, of France’s Observatory of Immigration and Demography (OID), it directly linked the mass migration and open borders agendas to high-crime areas, the breakdown of social norms, and even the fostering of Islamist terrorism.

Indeed, the think tank found that 63 per cent of Islamist terror attacks in Europe between 2010 and 2025 had a “verified link” to an identified no-go zone.

“So-called ‘sensitive neighbourhoods’ in Europe remain fertile grounds where such vulnerabilities can be exploited: community withdrawal, perceived exclusion, and petty crime create a conducive context that jihadist recruiters know how to leverage,” the report stated.

The report found a “strong correlation between demographic composition and spatial dysfunction,” stating that identified no-go zones had an average of 40 per cent foreign-born populations, compared to the EU average of 20 per cent and the EU urban average of 30 per cent.

“Therefore, the share of the foreign-born population in the studied no-go zones is more than 100% higher than in the rest of the EU,” the report noted.

The article notes:

Left-wing do-good efforts also appear to be correlated with the rise of no-go zones. Government housing programmes aimed at low-income migrants are actually creating more divides within societies, given that immigrants are “disproportionately confined to the limited social housing stock,” rather than being spread out across the country, the report claimed.

To remedy the situation, the think tank argued for significant immigration reform, particularly of family reunification, otherwise known as chain migration, which has been a chief driver of immigration in recent years. The report also called for increased deportations, stricter limits on residency and citizenship, as well as coordinated investment in policing to restore order, and incentives to see natives return to their cities.

Presenting the report to the EU Parliament this week, President of New Direction and the co-chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR) group, Nicola Procaccini, said that “if we allow these enclaves to grow, we are not just losing our streets, but also the very values of freedom and equality that define our civilisation.”

The answer to the problem is to encourage assimilation. If someone does not want to assimilate, they need to go somewhere that is compatible to their cultural norms. If you come to a western country, you need to be willing to live within the culture of the country,

The Numbers Are Out

On Monday, The Daily Caller posted an article about the economic impact  that immigrants from Somalia have had on the Dutch economy.

The article reports:

Immigrants are no longer expected to melt into American culture. In fact, even the suggestion of it is supposedly racist.

A wide-ranging data set out of the Netherlands is going viral this morning. It shows that immigrants from Somalia end up being a net drain on the Dutch economy. At the same time, it shows that North American and Japanese migrants are a net gain for the economy.

In fact, most everywhere that doesn’t have a native Western culture ends up being a massive net drag on the economy. Arab, African, Southwest Asia (Afghanistan et al.), all the Arab states. All in the toilet as far as becoming contributing members of the Dutch economy.

One estimate put the lifetime cost of the roughly 43,000 Somalis living there at around €50 billion, with a B.

People … noticing … these data were also throwing U.K. data around.

Only one in ten Somalis in the U.K. is employed. More than a quarter of Eritreans and just over one in five Somalis are in prison in Scotland.

And what about the U.S.? Did you see the story about the depressed Pennsylvania town with a population of 4,000 that imported 2,000 Haitians to work in a factory? The company defaulted. The factory closed. There are now 2,000 unemployed Haitians with no legal status living in a small Pennsylvania town.

The article concludes:

We’ve been told two things over and over and over again. 1. Low-skilled, quasi-legal or outright illegal immigration is a net boost to the economy. 2. Forcing immigrants to learn English and adopt Western culture is racist.

I don’t think either of those things is true.

You know what they will do in spades though — as they’re flooding communities and draining economies — vote Democrat.

There is a difference in cultures. Expecting people from non-western cultures who come here in large groups to assimilate is not realistic. As individuals they might assimilate, but in large groups they can stay within their own people and never become assimilated American citizens.

What Will Be The Impact Of This In Twenty Years?

Yesterday The U.K. Daily Mail reported that sixty percent of babies born in London are born to foreign mothers. That means six out of ten will be raised by people who have not been part of British culture. We need to think about what this means to the future of Britain.

The article explains some of the reasons for the high number of babies born to immigrants:

The new statistics on babies born to foreign-born mothers come after earlier figures from the ONS which showed that in some areas of London they account for more than three-quarters of births.

In the East London borough of Newham in 2014 more than three quarters of babies – 77 per cent – were born to mothers who were themselves born outside Britain.

In that year most of the foreign-born mothers who gave birth in the UK were from Poland, followed by Pakistan and India.

The 2014 figures showed immigrant mothers are more likely to be married than those born in Britain. Some 72 per cent of immigrant mothers were married that year, compared with 45 per cent of UK-born mothers. The ONS said this ‘reflects different expectations between cultures’.

The rise in the number of babies with foreign-born mothers has partly come because fertility rates among immigrants are higher than those of British-born women.

Although fertility rates among foreign-born women fell in 2015, an immigrant could expect to have 2.08 children. For UK-born women, the rate was 1.76.

In the early days of the country of America, the population was made up of people who were not born here. Those immigrants formed the culture that eventually became the American culture. The shared values of those immigrants formed the basis of that culture–many had fled religious persecution–their faith was important to them and their freedom was important to them. They had a pioneering spirit that allowed them to journey through hardships for the chance to be free and reap the rewards of their efforts. America continued to take in immigrants, but screened them at Ellis Island to make sure they were willing to work and contribute to America. Originally there was no welfare system–an immigrant either worked hard and was successful or went home. Things have changed in America and in other places. Now immigrants are not necessarily encouraged to assimilate, learn the language, or work hard. The are not encouraged to become part of the culture or to help preserve the culture. When sixty percent of mothers in London are foreign born and may not be part of western culture, where will the country be in twenty years? Will Britain still be part of western civilization?
