They Need To Go Back To Spy School!

On Thursday, Hot Air posted an article about the arrest of David Rush, an ex-Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) official. Not only was he charged with the theft of $40 million in gold bars, it has been revealed that his job application to the CIA included fake credentials. Doesn’t the CIA bother to check the information on their job applications? David Rush was hired in 2009 when Leon Panetta was CIA Director.

The article reports:

No doubt, most people will be amazed that David Rush managed to steal $40 million in gold bars from the CIA. After all, each bar weighs over 27 pounds, so you can’t just walk out with them, and if the reports are true, he managed to steal them right under the bureaucrats’ watchful eyes.

He requisitioned them. He actually requisitioned them. You have to admit that was a ballsy move, and in itself it shows that something very very wrong is happening at our nation’s premier intelligence agency.

The article concludes:

We all expect the CIA itself to engage in dishonesty, but we also expect the agency to be good at rooting it out, given that it is in the business of intelligence and of committing fraud against our adversaries.

But no, apparently not. The agency hired a guy who faked his resume. Three different resumes, each more dishonest than the last.

And then hid the fact from those doing background checks and security screenings to ensure that we could trust him with our nation’s secrets. That was the primary part of his job.

Remember, this guy was high enough to requisition $40 million in gold and get it. For “work-related expenses.”

If that doesn’t frighten you, what would?

How did this man get past the basic employee screening process and the security clearance process?

Why Is This A Partisan Matter?

Yesterday, Hot Air posted an article about the US Senate Homeland Security Committee testimony of James Erdman III.

The article reports:

James Erdman III is testifying today before the US Senate Homeland Security Committee, and he is blowing the whistle on the CIA’s willingness to bow to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s insistence that COVID did not originate in lab leak, likely tied to gain-of-function research.

No surprise there, I have to say. At the time, the CIA agreed to withhold its conclusion that the most likely explanation for COVID’s spread was a lab leak, although it has subsequently stated that the lab leak was likely.

Yesterday MSN reported:

No Democrats attended a committee hearing Wednesday featuring a whistleblower who accused former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Facui of covering-up details about the origins of COVID-19.

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee James Erdman III appeared before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee to testify about Fauci’s alleged role in covering-up the origins of COVID-19, with no Democrats on the committee being present.

“No Democrats showed. They don’t care to dismantle the deep state,” Gabrielle Lipsky, the deputy communications director for Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Hot Air notes:

This tale, as far as I can tell, is more about the willingness of bureaucracies to cooperate to cover up their own role in disasters than the CIA’s participation in causing this particular one. There is no indication that it played any role itself, but rather that it bowed to political pressure from Fauci et al to cover up their own.

Covid was something that impacted all Americans in some way. Lying to the American people about its origins did nothing to help any of us. The fact that the Democrats did not bother to show up for this hearing is concerning. Their constituents was as impacted by Covid as those of the Republicans.

Cleaning Up The Mess Left Behind

On Friday, Just the News posted an article about some of the changes being made by the Trump administration in the Intelligence Community.

The article reports:

In a dramatic repudiation, CIA Director John Ratcliffe on Friday rescinded or revised 19 intelligence reports the agency produced dating back to the Obama era because they were politically biased or used poor spy tradecraft, including one analysis suggesting that women who pursue traditional motherhood were at danger of becoming violent extremists.

A senior CIA official told Just The News the reports were initially flagged during a review by the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board, then reviewed by career agency officials before being retracted, recalled or revised.

“There is absolutely no room for bias in any kind of the CIA’s work,” the official said. “So when we find instances where our tradecraft did not reach that high bar of impartiality, we must correct the record. And that’s why we’re taking steps to reinforce analytic integrity by ordering the public release, substantive revision or retraction of these products that do not meet CIA’s tradecraft standards.”

The article notes:

The CIA assessment also said that it defined “white REMVE(racially and ethnically motivated violent extremist)-sympathetic” actors as “individuals or groups who may not openly advocate violence but amplify white REMVE narratives regarding their perceptions of racial and ethnic hierarchy, as well as perceived threats from those they see as advocating multiculturalism and globalization.”

“White REMVEs and their sympathizers have claimed in online posts that it is essential for white families to have as many biological children as possible to counter the rising birthrates among non-white populations; white REMVEs allege that this rise is a conspiracy, which they have termed the ‘great replacement,’ according to an Open Source Enterprise assessment,” the since-withdrawn agency assessment said.

So women who chose to stay home and raise their children or who encouraged other women to stay home and raise their children was considered a threat. Good grief!

The article concludes:

In the U.S. intelligence community’s anti-DEI efforts during the second Trump administration, Judge Anthony Trenga last April blocked efforts by the CIA and the ODNI to terminate intelligence officers who had been tied to DEI initiatives during the Biden administration. The Justice Department, on behalf of the two spy agencies, quickly appealed the ruling to an appeals court, where a ruling has not yet been issued.

Who’s Side Are They On?

Theoretically, American government agencies support the government of America. Unfortunately, lately that depends on who the people elect. In a recent 60 Minutes interview, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner shared some very interesting things about the briefings they received from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

On Sunday, The Conservative Treehouse reported:

During a segment (prompted below) Witkoff and Kushner are outlining the step-by-step process as they engaged the leaders of Qatar, Turkey and Egypt.  Witkoff reveals how the CIA was briefing them both, multiple times a day, and the briefing itself was exactly the opposite of what Emir of Qatar and Presidents of Turkey and Egypt were telling them.  The CIA intelligence was the exact opposite of reality.  WATCH:

What they are describing is EXACTLY why we outlined how ‘outside govt’ emissaries were/are vitally necessary to work around the control agenda of the U.S. Intelligence Community.  This small example is stunning in magnitude when considered around the importance of the moment.

On a positive note, with Witkoff making this stunning public statement, we can now add a major datapoint to President Trump’s reference of NOT TRUSTING the CIA.  Combined with the previous assertions of Marco Rubio and Tulsi Gabbard on essentially the same level of outlook, this example of the CIA getting it wrong (misleading the administration) has long-range ramifications beyond the Hamas example.

At some point, it becomes obvious that the deep state is much more active in various government bureaucracies that most of us originally thought. Although it might temporarily weaken the CIA, it’s time to remove all CIA personnel who have been involved in misleading or undermining the Trump administration. I am sure we can find qualified people somewhere in America who love America and are willing to work for the CIA.

How The Deep State Works Against President Trump

On Monday, Declassified with Julie Kelly posted an article that illustrates how the deep state works and also how at least to hold those who work against the Trump administration accountable.

The article reports:

If John Brennan is furious, good things are happening.

The former CIA director and Russiagate architect is “livid” about the firing last week of two longtime intelligence officers by President Trump’s top spy chief. “It’s appalling and outrageous and demonstrates why Tulsi Gabbard never should have been confirmed as director of national intelligence,” Brennan, his voice trembling with rage, said on MSNBC. “This is going to have real reverberations in the workforce.”

The firings involved people who were part of the politicization of the intelligence community. They were part of the ‘deep state.’

The article continues:

During their tenure, Brennan and Clapper, along with former FBI Director James Comey—last seen using beach rocks to threaten the president—weaponized the intel community to target Obama’s political enemies then worked with friendly news organizations to leak sensitive information to damage Trump.

History is repeating itself. Similar to Brennan’s bogus intelligence assessment claiming the Russians interfered in the 2016 presidential election to help Donald Trump win—a document that successfully sowed doubt over the legitimacy of Trump’s victory, derailed the first half of presidency, and prompted a criminal investigation into alleged Trump-Russia election collusion—the latest intel report is aimed at undermining the president’s Alien Enemies Act (AEA) proclamation.

Collins and Langan-Riekhof authored a memo stating:

“While Venezuela’s permissive environment enables TdA (Tren de Aragua) to operate, the Maduro regime probably does not have a policy of cooperating with the TdA and is not directing TdA movement to and operations in the United States,” the partially redacted document, released by Gabbard in response to a FOIA request, stated.

The goal of the memo was to undermine the deportation process of those gang members.

The article notes:

The memo on one hand condemned the Maduro regime for “lack of transparency” but simultaneously argued that the nonexistence of “top down directives” from Maduro officials to TdA leaders exonerates any connection between the two.

Further, the memo acknowledged that the unprecedented spike of illegal Venezuelans at the southern border during the Biden years “could include some TdA members.” The mass exodus from Venezuela—nearly 8 million residents have left since 2014 with at least 600,000 illegally entering the U.S. from 2021 to 2023—benefits Maduro as a result of “the logistical, financial, and political headaches that unregulated migrations has caused for the US government, its perceived principal adversary.”

But the memo nonetheless insisted “the Maduro regime probably is not systematically directing Venezuelan outflows.”

…Also in Brennan-like style, well placed leaks to Trump-hostile news organizations spawned the imaginary controversy; an early version of the NIC memo was disclosed to the media a few days after the president signed the AEA proclamation. “American intelligence agencies circulated findings last month that stand starkly at odds with Mr. Trump’s claims, according to officials familiar with the matter,” the New York Times reported on March 20. “The document…summarized the shared judgment of the nation’s spy agencies that the gang was not controlled by the Venezuelan government.”

The article notes that the leaks have a purpose:

That leak presumably is one of at least 11 unauthorized disclosures under investigation by Gabbard’s office. During an interview last week, Gabbard revealed that she has sent three criminal referrals related to leaks to the Department of Justice. They are, Gabbard said, are an attempt to “directly undermine the agenda and actions of President Trump.”

The leakers need to face serious consequences–not just a slap on the wrist.
