When Government Is Centralized, The People Lose Their Voice

This is the conclusion:

We are all being acculturated to believe that the nation state is nothing but an anachronism that needs to be supplanted. Keep in mind, this necessarily means treating democracy and freedom as anachronisms too. In practice, the only means by which average people can restrain tyranny and despotism is through voting at the national level. None of us have any influence over the policies of the WHO, World Bank, IMF, much less over the Gates or Soros Foundations. The way politics is structured in the world today, we are all necessarily disenfranchised in a world governed by global institutions.

And that is precisely the point: to achieve universal disenfranchisement of average people so that the elites can have a free hand in regulating the planet as they see fit. This is why it becomes supremely urgent for every person who aspires to live in peace and freedom to regain national sovereignty and say no to the transfer of authority to institutions over which citizens have no control.

Let me conclude with this: I had not always understood this. When the United States pulled out of the WHO in 2020, I was genuinely puzzled. It seemed rather unsporting. These days, I get it. Devolving power from the center is the only path by which we can restore the ideals of the great visionaries of the past like Thomas Jefferson. In the end, governing institutions must be in citizen control, and pertain to the borders of particular states, or it necessarily becomes tyrannical over time.

One of the issues in the upcoming presidential election is globalism. If you vote for the deep state, you will lose your voice.

When ‘Peacemakers’ Plant The Seeds Of War

On Sunday, The New York Post posted an article about the ongoing war between Israel and Hezbollah. The article reminds us that United Nations Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 war, was meant to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its stockpile of weapons aimed at Israel. Unfortunately, the Resolution was never implemented, and Hezbollah has been stockpiling weapons and digging tunnels ever since.

The article reports:

Since 2006, Iran is believed to have gathered some 160,000 long- and short-range rockets in position in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah has been firing them since Oct. 8 of last year, forcing tens of thousands of Israelis out of their homes in the north of the country.

On Sunday, I saw with my own eyes how this had happened. A short way inside Lebanon, the IDF showed me two Hezbollah tunnels — right near the Israeli border.

These had been built in the hope of carrying out a Hamas-style Oct. 7 attack on Israel. And also to store and fire rockets into northern Israel.

The ground in Lebanon is rocky — not sandy like Gaza — and these are serious, deep tunnels. But the tunnel shafts opened not much more than 100 meters away from a giant UN peacekeeping base and observation point.

How is it possible that the kind of heavy digging needed to create these tunnels could have happened literally right under the noses of the UN? Were they not looking? Did they even care?

The answer seems to be a very obvious “no.” They decided not to look. The international peacekeeping force has been a joke for years.

After all, what Irish or Sri Lankan soldier is going to put their lives at risk to enforce a mere UN resolution? Or do anything to protect the State of Israel from Iran-backed terrorists?

These tunnels go deep into the ground and connect with each other — just as Hamas’ terror tunnels do in Gaza. But these have an even more deadly potential.

The article also notes:

And in the middle of the forest we come across one of many Hezbollah hiding places, complete with arms dump.

The station has been recently abandoned, but it was an area that a cell of perhaps 10 Hezbollah terrorists were recently bunkering down in. They left much of their kit on the way out.

…This includes not just Hezbollah uniforms and vests, but all of the group’s other necessities. There are mines — including ones that are used to blow open walls.

Now that we know that Hezbollah was planning an Oct. 7-style attack from the north, it is clear that this was one of their ways to break into Israel, just like their friends in Hamas broke in from the south.

The Hezbollah terrorists who recently left this camp left other things behind, too: pipe bombs, other explosives, many rounds of bullets.

America paid for this lack of peacekeeping. It’s time for America to leave the United Nations and for the United Nations to leave America.

About That Third ‘Assassination Attempt’

On Sunday, the mainstream media reported that there had been a third assassination attempt on President Trump in California. Details were sketchy, but the incident was reported. Now it seems as if the incident was not necessarily what it appeared to be. There are still a lot of questions, but I will share the information I have. My sources are The New York Post, The U.K. Daily Mail, and Twitchy.

Twitchy quotes a Twitter post by Mindy Robinson:

The man they just arrested for supposedly ‘trying to kill’ Trump in Coachella….is my good friend and business partner for America Happens, Vem Miller.

Vem had just exposed a huge Deep State cover-up involving the Feds and the Bundy Ranch scandal. So I firmly believe this is 100% some kind of set-up in retribution for exposing it. That, or Trump’s security team is a bunch of dipshits trying to make up for how badly they failed in Pennsylvania with any kind of ‘win’ they can get, fake or not.

There isn’t a universe his intention was to kill Trump, he’s worked too hard in this movement to expose the Deep State and all the people against him. If he had guns in his car that were illegal, whooptie-f***ing do. As a pro-2A advocate, ask me if I give a s—t about a good guy with a gun in an unsafe s***hole like California. It doesn’t even make sense why his passes would be fake either when we’re both usually invited as media to these things.

And I’d love to see exactly what this ‘threat’ was he made about Trump…..because I don’t believe he said it. I just know it’s going to be the most misconstrued b——t thing ever when I finally hear, assuming they even ever tell us.

The U.K. Daily Mail reports:

Miller was taken into custody after he was stopped at a checkpoint near the former president’s rally in Coachella, California on Saturday just before 5 p.m. local time.

He allegedly presented fake VIP credentials and was found to be illegally in possession of a shotgun, a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine in his vehicle.

Local law enforcement claimed the incident is ‘probably’ a third assassination attempt – after Trump was shot in the ear in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, and an armed suspect plotted to kill him at his West Palm Beach, Florida, golf club in September.

But a source close to Trump campaign downplayed the threat and told DailyMaill.com that the gunman was apprehended before posing any danger. 

The New York Post reports:

He said he told deputies he was carrying the firearms in his trunk — as a courtesy — before he was pulled over and forced to leave the car. The car was then “ransacked” after a deputy informed him he wanted to make sure the guns were legal purchases, he claimed.

Miller, a registered Republican who ran unsuccessfully for office in Nevada in 2022, also denied he flashed a fake press pass at the checkpoint — as the sheriff alleged — but instead offered a “special entry pass,” the outlet reported.

The Las Vegas resident told the publication he was not informed why he was taken into custody, and only after he was detained for hours was he allowed to call a lawyer. He said he then recalled the incident while in front of FBI and Secret Service agents, who reportedly wanted to interview him.

The Problem With Kamala Harris In Six Numbers

On Monday, Issues & Insights posted an article listing six numbers that are a problem for the Kamala Harris campaign.

These are the numbers:

1. $17,080 – According to the House Budget Committee, that $17,080 was, as of this summer, the annual Harris-Biden “inflation tax” on the average American household.

2. 662,566 – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has copped to having more than 600,000 illegals with criminal backgrounds on its national docket…

3. 323,000 – 32,000 unaccompanied children who, according to the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security, did not appear for court dates between fiscal years 2019 and 2023 – and 291,000 who never even received Notices to Appear during that period? For whom ICE admits it has “no assurance” that they “safe from trafficking, exploitation, or forced labor?”

4. 0 – Kamala’s commitment to net zero – from which she has not backed off, and cannot without a revolt in her radical progressive base – amounts to the fracking ban she claims is not in the cards.

5. and 6. $6.75 trillion and 5,044 – The former represents federal outlays for fiscal 2024. The latter is the number of nuclear warheads in the U.S. arsenal. No sane individual would make this woman-child (and watch the last 20 seconds in particular), the chief executive in control of an enterprise of this size with this level of firepower.

On November 5th, the voters will decide whether or not these numbers are acceptable.

Stopping Illegal Votes Before They Start

On Friday, The Texas Scorecard posted an article about the efforts being made in Texas to ensure the integrity of the election vote.

The article reports:

In a major reversal from her guidance just days ago, Secretary of State Jane Nelson now says non-citizen driver’s licenses may not be used as a form of voter identification.

The Texas Department of Public Safety issues driver’s licenses and personal identification cards to lawfully present noncitizens, which are clearly marked “Temporary Visitor” or “Limited-Term” and expire after one year or when the individual’s period of lawful presence ends.

An advisory from the Secretary of State issued Tuesday afternoon stated that while citizens should not use these types of IDs to vote, poll workers should nonetheless offer a regular ballot to people on the voter rolls who present a noncitizen ID. This contrasts with previous guidance from the Secretary of State’s office in 2018, which specifically stated that DPS-issued driver’s licenses and personal identification cards “should not be used if ‘Limited Term’ or ‘Temporary Visitor’ appears on the face of the card, as this indicates the person is not a U.S. Citizen.”

Instead, voters with such IDs were urged to show other forms of identification, including naturalization certificates or passports.

The article concludes:

“Secretary of State Nelson did the right thing,” said Paxton. “Her amended election advisory closes a potential loophole that could have allowed noncitizens to attempt to vote. Texas must do everything in its power to prevent noncitizens from voting, and this is a critical step toward securing our elections.”

U.S. Rep. Chip Roy reported Thursday evening that, according to DPS, 2,824,613 noncitizens have driver’s licenses or IDs issued by the state.

Preemptive measures are the only way to ensure election integrity in November.

Money From The Government Isn’t Really Free

On Saturday, Hot Air posted an article about the cost of ‘free money.’ There really isn’t a free lunch.

The article reports:

Some politicians and activists are eager to give you “free” money.       

They call it universal basic income (UBI) — cash for everyone, no strings attached.

Comedian Dave Chappelle thinks UBI would “save my community almost instantly.”

In my new video, UBI activist Conrad Shaw agrees, “You would effectively get rid of extreme poverty immediately.”

He says a UBI will help people “start businesses, fix their homes or invest in sustainable gardens.”

Well, “sustainable gardens” might be nice, but someone still has to make stuff. And that requires work — often difficult work.

When I was young, If I hadn’t needed to work to support myself, I wouldn’t have pushed so hard to overcome my fears, my stuttering and my reluctance to speak publicly. I wouldn’t have become successful. I might have stayed in bed most of the day.

But Shaw disagrees. “I don’t believe you,” he says. “Nobody actually wants that … people find their passions not simply because they need to make money.“

The article cites the results of an experiment where people were given a UBI:

It turns out that Sam Altman, the guy behind ChatGPT, helped create such a test. His big study gave 1,000 low-income people $1,000 per month for three years — no strings attached. What happened?

Not the great things that were promised. After three years of getting $1,000/month, UBI recipients were actually a little deeper in debt than before.

Work isn’t always fun, but there is pride in doing a job well. Accepting free money and not having to work does not encourage one to be creative–it encourages one to be lazy and entitled.

The article concludes:

“If we were to get rid of unemployment insurance, food stamps, welfare and all the other insane policies we have, and just have a moderate universal basic income,” says Harvard economist Jeffrey Miron, “I think it would be a huge improvement.”

But that will never happen. Anytime anyone tries to cut any government program, people freak out. Imagine trying to cut all welfare.

“The chances politically that will happen are probably zero,” says Miron.

 Progressives want to add UBI to already existing programs.

“Adding more programs is insane!” says Miron. “It will make the entire country melt down. The people who will bear the brunt of that will be people who are poor. The rich will move to other countries … hide their assets. We will have a debt crisis like nobody’s ever seen before.”

 We already have a debt crisis like nobody’s seen before!

 Let’s not make it worse with a UBI.

Protecting The Voting Rights Of Illegal Aliens

Yes, you read that right. After Governor Youngkin of Virginia removed unlawful voters from the voter rolls, Attorney General Merrick Garland sued the Commonwealth of Virginia for removing voters too close to an election.

On Sunday, The Gateway Pundit reported:

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland is now suing Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia for having the temerity to remove unlawful voters from the election rolls.  In 2019, I made a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to my Virginia County Clerk of the Court on those rejected for Jury Duty.  The Jury Duty rolls, by Commonwealth of Virginia Law, harvest the names predominantly from the Voting Rolls.  There are 20 different reasons someone can be rejected from Jury Duty.

Doing basic math, there are three non-debatable categories where someone would be unlawful to be on the election roll.  Yet 6% of the names were rejected from Jury Duty because they were unlawfully on the election rolls.  Taking in other categories where there may be an issue with the lawful nature of the voter, applying a very low percentage of the total, the number of potential unlawful names on the rolls shot to 12% of the total on the Virginia Rolls being unlawful (again a very low, small “c” conservative percentage was applied).

One of the hard categories of illegality is not being a U.S. Citizen.  How could a non-U.S. Citizen be on the Virginia voter rolls?  For anyone who is not aware of it, 18USC611 “Voting by aliens”, makes it unequivocally clear that it is unlawful for a non-U.S. Citizen to vote.  Yet here we are, illegal aliens are on the election rolls in Virginia, and the current U.S. Attorney General is fighting against the lawful U.S. Citizen to keep unlawful voters on the rolls.

Kamala Harris will not be elected President unless she cheats. There are many voter integrity groups working hard NOW to prevent that cheating. It should be obvious to anyone paying attention that the law does not allow non-citizens to vote in federal elections. Please follow the link to read the entire article for further details.

History Predicts The Future

Does anyone remember January 2017? There was serious property destruction, weird pink hats, and veiled threats made against the new President. No one was ever held accountable for the property damage. No one was kept in jail for four years for a minor offense, and there were no consequences for bad behavior. Are you naive enough to believe that the bad behavior will not be repeated since there were no consequences last time?

On Saturday, Townhall posted an article reminding us of some of the comments made by Democrats regarding certifying the 2024 election if President Trump wins.

The article notes:

What they’re saying: Raskin [Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.)], the House Oversight Committee ranking member and former Jan. 6 committee member who objected to Trump electors in 2017, told Axios in an interview that if Trump “won a free, fair and honest election, then we would obviously accept it.”

Asked if he assumes a Trump victory would be free, fair and honest, however, Raskin said: “I definitely don’t assume that.”

…Zoom in: House Rules Committee Ranking Member Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), who also objected to Trump electors in 2017, said Democrats would certify a Trump victory “assuming everything goes the way we expect it to.”

It helps to understand how much the Washington establishment loses if President Trump is re-elected. The uni-party has enriched itself at the expense of the people it’s supposed to represent. Our laws are being written by lobbyists or un-elected bureaucrats, so no one actually writing the laws can be held accountable by the voters. The polls showing a close race are there to camouflage the planned cheating (illegal aliens voting, rigged voting machines, bogus mail-in ballots)–all of the things that happened in 2020. Unless enough Trump supporters vote to overcome the cheating, we are in for a very rough four years.

This party (the Democrats) has weaponized the Department of Justice against Republicans, along with engaging in prolonged lawfare against the former president. So, who’s the real threat? FBI agents weren’t visiting the homes of pro-life activists or those who shared anti-Democrat memes on social media. That all happened under Biden.

Our institutions have been wrecked under Biden, and now congressional Democrats are peddling supremely anti-democratic shenanigans because they’re so triggered over the prospect of another Trump presidency.

Have no fear; the results will be certified, no matter who wins, and if it’s Trump—I can’t wait for the tears.

We All Need Reminding

On Saturday, Headline USA posted an article reminding us of the six main lies constantly told about President Trump. All of these lies have been debunked, but they continue to be told in campaign ads for Kamala Harris.

The article lists the lies:

1. Very fine people: Democrats accuse Trump of calling neo-Nazis “very fine people” after the August 2017 Charlottesville, Virginia, race riots. Snopes’ non-MAGA fact checkers declared this “False.”

Trump said “very fine people” both supported and opposed a local statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Democrats cover-up what Trump added: “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.”

2. Suck​ers and losers​: Trump haters keep claiming that he refused to visit a World War I cemetery in France because it brims with “suckers” and “losers.”

Jeffrey Goldberg cited four anonymous sources in his reckless, if not libelous, article in Sept. 3, 2020’s The Atlantic. I dismantled Goldberg’s vile charges via multiple published rebuttals. I eventually quoted 16 named advisors who accompanied Trump to Paris. They concurred that Trump never said “suckers” or “losers.”

3. ​ Find me 11,780 ​votes​: Democrat fantasies notwithstanding, Trump did not order Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find me 11,780 votes,” to beat Biden. The January 2021 phone call provided much of the basis for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to indict Trump and 18 others with a racketeering conspiracy.

However, as the Trump-hating Washington Post’s transcript shows, Trump said: “I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have, because we won the state.”​ Personally, I just want to find $100,00 cash. That is light years away from me instructing anyone to rob a Wells Fargo branch and “find me $100,000 cash.”

4. Jan. 6​: Trump haters claim that he ordered supporters to attack Congress’s certification of 2020’s election. Wrong! During a First Amendment-protected outdoor speech, Trump urged his fans to protest “peacefully and patriotically.”​

If Trump craved a bloodbath, why did he authorize 10,000 National Guard​ troops to keep ​the party polite? If Democrat D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., had not spurned Trump’s offer, ​domestic tranquility would have prevailed.

5. Dictator on Day 1: Kamala Harris told a Univision audience on Thursday: “Donald Trump has said he will be a dictator on Day 1.​”

Fox News’s Sean Hannity ​asked Trump last Dec. 5​: “You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?” Trump jokingly ​replied, “​No, no, no, other than Day 1. We’re closing the border, and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.​”

6. Bloodbath: In her debate with Trump, Kamala Harris parroted a phony Democrat talking point. “Donald Trump the candidate has said in this election there will be a bloodbath, if the outcome of this election is not to his liking.”

Nope! On March 16, Trump predicted that a Democrat victory would trigger “a bloodbath”…in the auto industry, not the streets.

All of this illustrates how a simple statement can be totally made-up or totally taken out of context to create an impression. As we navigate the last few weeks of the election season, buyer beware of October surprises and fake news stories.

In Our Representative Republic, Congress Is Supposed To Control The Spending

On Saturday, The Daily Caller News Foundation posted an article at The Liberty Daily about the Biden administration’s reaction to Congress freezing $1.5 million dollars in funds for LGBTQ initiatives in Latin America. The administration simply ignored the fact that the funds were frozen and spent the money. What good is the Constitution if the current administration chooses to ignore it?

The article reports:

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) spends billions every year delivering assistance to various countries around the world, sometimes for the purpose of promoting social causes abroad. USAID told Congress in August it planned to spend $1.5 million in Latin America and the Caribbean on various LGBTQ causes, including raising awareness of LGBTQ individuals and promoting coordination of various organizations that protect the minority group, a source with direct knowledge of the matter told the DCNF, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the subject.

A congressional committee issued a freeze on the $1.5 million funding package, the source told the DCNF. But USAID is choosing to ignore the hold and move forward with the initiative; an incredibly rare and nearly unprecedented move, as holds are typically honored.

USAID plans to use the $1.5 million for more than supporting LGBTQ individuals; it includes funding for litigation against different Latin American and Caribbean countries if they supposedly discriminate against LGBTQ individuals, the DCNF has learned. Some of these nations have the highest percentages of Catholics or Christians in the world, according to World Population Review.

The funding will also promote coordination between LBGTQ organizations and other minority groups, such as organizations representing African descendants, indigenous groups and migrant-focused organizations, the DCNF has learned. Funding is also included for the creation or dissemination of materials for journalists to promote anti-violence against LGBTQ people in the region.

I would like to go on the record to say that I am against violence against any group of people. However, it is not the responsibility of the American taxpayers to impose the agenda of minority groups in America on other countries.

The article concludes:

USAID has a $45 billion dollar budget for fiscal year 2024, and in addition to putting that to use in aid or assistance delivery operations, the Biden-Harris administration also uses the budget to promote seemingly left-wing causes across the world, such as in the case of LGBTQ initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Some of USAID’s activities have been criticized by lawmakers as a waste of money or politically charged.

In other cases, USAID funding isn’t properly tracked and risks ending up with American adversaries, such as the Taliban in Afghanistan or Hamas in Gaza.

It’s time to audit all foreign aid spending. We have no idea how the money is being used or if it is going to allies or enemies. We can totally afford to let our enemies hate us for free.

How To Get The Job Done

On Friday, Breitbart posted an article about the inflation rate in Argentina since President Javier Milei took office.

The article reports:

The National Institute of Statistics and Census of Argentina (INDEC) announced on Thursday that the country’s inflation rate for September was 3.5 percent.

September’s result marks the lowest inflation rate recorded in Argentina since November 2021 and is the result of President Javier Milei’s “shock therapy” economic measures that have steadily reduced inflation from 25.5 percent at the time he took office in December 2023 to September’s 3.5 percent.

Milei’s policies aim to overturn Argentina’s years-long economic crisis exacerbated under leftist governments, which dramatically worsened during the administration of Milei’s predecessor, socialist former President Alberto Fernández (2019-2023).

The article concludes:

Milei has insisted that his “zero deficit” fiscal goals for Argentina are “non-negotiable,” a pursuit he reiterated last week when he vetoed a university financing bill that the government branded as “irresponsible” and a danger to the nation’s fiscal balance. Milei reaffirmed that he would veto any bill that infringes upon fiscal balance. The veto was upheld by the Argentine Congress on Wednesday.

Milei’s policies, in addition to steadily reducing inflation over the past nine months from 25.5 percent in December 2023 to 3.5 percent in September, also allowed Argentina to experience its first Gross Domestic Product (GDP) surplus since 2008, overturning a 15 percent GDP deficit that the country faced at the time he took office in December.

America could learn a lot from what is happening in Argentina!

The Numbers On Child Abuse

I don’t know if I am a minority or a majority, but I believe that gender reassignment surgery or drugs given to children under 21 is child abuse. A child can’t buy cigarettes or alcohol until they are 21, why are they allowed to make a decision that will make them a major medical patient for the rest of their life? Gender reassignment is not a one-time thing–the body keeps producing the hormones and testosterone that correspond with the person’s actual sex, so drugs have to be prescribed to overcome nature. The person becomes hooked on prescription drugs for life.

On October 8th, MRCTV posted an article about the number of children who are undergoing gender reassignment procedures in America.

The article reports:

Nearly 14,000 minors nationwide have had gender reassignment procedures performed on them in the past four years, according to a new first-of-its-kind database published Tuesday.

Do No Harm, a coalition of 13,000 doctors, nurses physicians, and concerned citizens across all 50 states and 14 countries, created the database as part of its mission “to safeguard healthcare from ideological threats.”

The study examines gender reassignment procedures – such as puberty/hormone blockers and gender reassignment surgeries like mastectomies and penile reconstruction – performed on minors (under 18), including one seven-year-old child.

Unless parents stand up to this insanity it will continue, and much of what is being done to these children is irreversible. When you allow your 15-year-old daughter to become your son, have you considered that at 30 she might want to have children? That probably won’t be possible. Think carefully before you support the idea that a child can intelligently decide to change their sex.

Another Reason It Is Hard To Cut The Federal Budget

Theoretically the federal budget is controlled by the House or Representatives. They are supposed to send a budget to the Senate and the Senate is supposed to vote on it and pass it on to the President to sign. Unfortunately the last time Congress completed all bills on time was 20 years ago, in 1996. We have operated under Continuing Resolutions for a long time and federal spending has ballooned because of it. Why do we keep electing people who are not interested in cutting spending? The following information might be a clue,

On Wednesday, Townhall reported the following:

The state of Florida had a population of 22,610,726 as of July 2023, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. That ranked third among all states — exceeded only by Texas, which had a population of 30,503,301; and California, which had a population of 38,965,193.

As of this September, federal, state and local governments in this country employed a record total of 23,421,000 individuals, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In other words, government payrolls were populated by more people than lived in the state of Florida or in any of 47 other states. Only California and Texas had populations that exceeded the number of people who work for government in this country.

The article notes the incredible coincidence that government employees vote Democrat–they want to preserve their jobs.

In Maryland’s District 4, 12.29% of workers work for the federal government. It is represented by Democratic Rep. Glenn Ivey. In Virginia’s District 11, 12.06% of workers work for the federal government. It is represented by Democratic Rep. Gerald Connolly. In Maryland’s District 3, 10.72% of the workers work for the federal government. It is represented by Democratic Rep. John Sarbanes.

Imagine what our Congress would be like if 10% or more of the workers in every congressional district worked for the government.

That’s how the system works.

The Consequences Of The Biden Administration’s Middle East Policy

The Biden administration’s Middle East policy is simply a continuation of the Obama administration’s Middle East policy–strengthen Iran and weaken Israel. President Obama may or may not have been an anti-Semite–I am not going there right now. The idea was that a strong Iran would add stability to the Middle East. It was a really dumb idea because Iran wants to control the Middle East, not make peace. The policy of both administrations has been a disaster and has resulted in increased terrorism and loss of life in both Israel and its enemies.

On Thursday, Victor Davis Hanson posted an article at American Greatness about the situation in the Middle East.

The article notes:

Both the Harris-Walz presidential ticket and now lame-duck President Joe Biden keep insisting that they are Israel’s best friend.

A snarly Biden recently bragged at a contentious press conference, “No administration has helped Israel more than I have. None, none, none. And I think [Netanyahu] should remember that.”

Yet the thin-skinned and triggered Biden’s prickliness poorly hid—or perhaps revealed—the truth: this current administration knows that it is responsible for the current explosion of the Middle East and the particular dilemmas of Israel.

Biden further revealed his blame-gaming of the Israeli government when asked another loaded question about purported Netanyahu election interference, saying, “Whether he’s trying to influence the election, I don’t know.”

Election interference?

Biden apparently forgot who just flew Ukrainian President Zelensky into swing state Pennsylvania, just as early and mail-in voting there began, to lobby for more aid even as he trashed candidates Trump and Vance to a left-wing magazine.

Recently, Democratic candidate Vice President Kamala Harris refused to say whether the Netanyahu administration is even an ally of the United States.

The Biden administration (and candidate Kamala Harris) are trying to have it both ways–they want to seem to support Israel, but they don’t want to alienate the Muslim voting bloc.

The article concludes:

After it all, Biden-Harris lifted sanctions on a hostile Iran, giving it $100 billion in oil windfalls. It begged Iran to reenter the disastrous Iran deal. It abandoned the Abraham Accords. It lifted the terrorist designation from the terrorist Houthis. It restored fungible aid to the Hamas tunnel builders. It gave new aid to Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon.

Israel’s enemies got the Biden message: attack the Jewish state and perhaps Americans for the first time in a half-century may not really mind that much.

And so they did in unison.

Rather than admitting their own role in igniting the Middle East, Biden and Harris now blame the victims of their own incendiary foreign policy.

The final irony?

Israel has concluded that Biden-Harris foolhardiness can be toxic—and endanger its very survival—and so will not agree to its own suicide.

Instead, Israel seeks to finish a multifaceted war it did not seek. And one of whose beneficiaries from Israeli blood and treasure will be the U.S. itself, given Israel is now systematically weakening America’s own existential enemies.

Israel is right to remove the terrorist threat that will not always be aimed only at Israel—it will eventually come our way.

Editing With A Purpose

There are times in television or radio that an interview has to be edited to fit into a specific time. That happens frequently. There are other times when an interview or news article is edited to give a specific impression that may or may not be accurate or unbiased. The most recent example of this is the editing done by “60 Minutes” of the interview with Kamala Harris. Word salads were edited to make them sound like intelligent remarks.

On Wednesday, The Gateway Pundit reported:

This is the definition of election interference.

Apparently, Kamala’s interview with 60 Minutes was much worse than we first thought.

Fake news 60 Minutes was caught editing Kamala’s answers to make her sound coherent and normal.

In fact it was so bad that ’60 Minutes’ spliced her nonsensical answer and replaced it with a completely separate sentence she said earlier in the interview.

Bill Whitaker: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening?

Kamala Harris: Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.

Bill Whitaker: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening?

Kamala Harris: We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.

Buyer beware when in comes to believing what you hear in the mainstream media.

State Interference With Hurricane Relief

I live in North Carolina, so I hear a lot of stories from people with friends and relatives out in the western part of the state. The only good news is the number of people who have joined up with groups and gone out there to help. It’s not a good idea to go by yourself, but hooking up with a group and going is a great idea. Samaritan’s Purse and the Cajun Navy are good groups to partner with. However, there have been some state and federal government groups that have been less than helpful.

On Wednesday, Red State reported the following:

As RedState reported on Tuesday, Brian Trascher, Vice President and PIO of the United Cajun Navy, confirmed the Sunday “rotor washing” event at one of their Hurricane Helene relief stations in North Carolina by what he surmised was a UH60 Blackhawk helicopter.

The article notes:

The North Carolina National Guard (NCNG) is aware of an incident involving a NCNG UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during a delivery of generators at the request of a local civilian organization to power their distribution outpost in western North Carolina.

While attempting to land, rotor wash caused items to blow away from the local distribution set up by a group of civilians in the area. The crew immediately identified the situation, aborted the landing for safety reasons, and departed the area.

This incident is currently under investigation and the crew has been grounded until the investigation is complete. The NCNG is working with the identified local civilian organization to assess the level of damage caused by the rotor wash.

…There is much-deserved ire against the federal government and its response—or lack thereof—to the Hurricane Helene tragedy in Western North Carolina. The fact that their own state national guard made this error only adds fuel to the fire of the people’s anger. The NCNG probably knew it would only be a matter of time before the discovery that it was their helicopter involved in the incident, so they got ahead of it in order to distract focus off them. This is CYA at its most disgraceful.

In my phone conversation with him on Monday, I asked United Cajun Navy’s Trascher about his suspicions about who it could be, and he mentioned the state’s Air National Guard. “They would answer to the governor of whatever state they came home to, and their own guard general,” Trascher said.

This may have actually been an innocent oversight, but it only adds fuel to the fire. The victims of Hurricane Helene have had almost as much damage done to them by the government (state and federal) as they did from the hurricane.

An Outsider?

On Wednesday, Scott Johnson posted an article at Power Line Blog about Kamala Harris campaigning as a Washington outsider. We all need to remember that she has been a major player in Washington for the past 3+ years, casting tie-breaking votes in the Senate and according to President Biden, she has been in agreement with all of his policies. Kamala Harris broke the record for Vice-Presidents casting tie-breaking votes in the Senate–she cast 32 votes to help pass President Biden’s agenda. (This figure comes from The New York Times).

The article reports:

Vice President Harris is running for president as though she is somehow an outsider running against the establishment rather than its hand-picked mouthpiece. She’s not only an insider, she’s the second ranking officer in the incumbent administration. She has previously campaigned on every one of the policies of the Biden/Harris administration that have wrought so much damage to the United States.

To take only one example, consider Biden’s opening of the border and his invitation to the whole wide world to come on in. Come on in, that is, and enjoy the freebies. Enjoy the freebies, that is, at the expense of American taxpayers. These are the policies that Harris herself promoted during her 2020 presidential campaign.

And yet Harris has adopted these campaign themes: She has “a new way forward.” We’re not “going back.” Oh, yeah, and “it’s time to turn the page.”

Harris pretends to resolve the contradiction by asserting that she’s “not Joe Biden.” However, not surprisingly, she’s on “the same page” as Joe Biden. What if “it’s time to turn the page”? Harris herself was unable to keep up the pretense or reconcile the contradiction in her appearance on The View yesterday.

When asked on The View what should would have done differently from President Biden during the past four years, she replied, “There is not a thing that comes to mind.” So how is Kamala Harris going to ‘turn the page’ if she is elected after she and President Biden were on the same page for four years?

 

Wanting To Dismantle The Safety Net

Our Founding Fathers were brilliant. They understood that the quest for power can undermine the common sense and integrity of some people. That is the reason they created three branches of government was to create checks and balances. They never wanted career politicians–they wanted ordinary citizens to come to Washington, serve in Congress for a few years, and return home to live under the laws that they had passed. It hasn’t worked that way. (see article) That is the reason the Electoral College was created. That is why Senators were to be chosen by their state legislatures rather than elected (unfortunately that was undone during Woodrow Wilson, and we see the mess it has created). Currently there is a move to eliminate the Electoral College–the structure that keeps America from being governed by New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Based on how well those cities are, do you want the entire country run by the same people?

On Wednesday, Breitbart reported the following:

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), the Democratic Party candidate for Vice President, called for the abolition of the Electoral College at a Tuesday fundraiser with California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) at his Sacramento home.

Walz, endorsing the Democrats’ campaign for a “National Popular Vote,” would give inordinate power to the large “blue” states, meaning presidential candidates would spend all their time in Democratic cities like New York City and Los Angeles.

The Democrats have also called for forced resignations from the Supreme Court and adding members to the Supreme Court to dilute the opinions of the conservative justices on the court. Changes to the Supreme Court would allow the Democrats to push unpopular policies through without having to rely on elected officials to make the laws. Eliminating the Electoral College would simply take away the voting rights of anyone who did not live in a major city.

Either or both policies would result in negative changes to the America we know.

Another Conspiracy Theory Bites The Dust

Once again science has proven that there is no settled science. America first began examining putting fluoride in our public water systems in 1945, when Grand Rapids became the first city in the world to fluoridate its drinking water. The Grand Rapids water fluoridation study was originally sponsored by the U.S. Surgeon General, but was taken over by the NIDR (National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research) shortly after the Institute’s inception in 1948. The purpose of adding fluoride to the water was to fight cavities and to aid in tooth development in children. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and people who opposed it were mocked (fluoride deniers?).

On Tuesday, Hot Air posted an article about some of the recent studies on the impact of putting fluoride in drinking water. It has not gone as well as expected.

The American Public Health Association says:

Community water fluoridation is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as one of the 10 great public health achievements of the 20th century. Water fluoridation has played a major role in lowering the rate of tooth decay in the U.S. 

Except it turns out, as I and many others who have read the studies, that this assertion is nonsense, and dangerous nonsense at that. 

Don’t trust me? After an enormous amount of pressure and years of “study” (other countries have studied the issue and chosen NOT to fluoridate or to discontinue it), the National Institutes of Health have admitted that fluoride at the levels we ingest it is toxic and actually lowers IQ. 

The article notes:

The point I want to make is not really about the wisdom of water fluoridation but rather about scientific “consensus.” Opponents of fluoridation have been portrayed as ridiculous and dangerous conspiracy theorists, but they have been right all along. The UN, the CDC, the ADA, and all the experts have attacked and ridiculed critics of fluoridation, who have suffered from being “discredited” for saying true things.

Does that sound familiar? It should. We just saw the exact same thing over the past four years, and enormous damage was done to billions of people.

I am not opposed to people developing “expertise;” we need specialists who focus on vital issues and acquire specialized knowledge.

Rather, the cult of expertise is the problem. In many cases, expertise is really just unearned certainty. No expert should be certain of things to the point that they ridicule others, prevent dissent, and quash inquiry.

Experts also tend to have such specialized knowledge that they totally miss the big picture. Our “experts” in public health never considered collateral damage from even somewhat effective interventions. Not understanding the costs of school closure, they blithely harmed tens of millions of children for no real benefit.

Until we get back to critical thinking and being willing to examine all sides of an issue, we are in danger of doing more harm than good with our ‘scientific consensuses.’

Wanting A Cease-Fire So They Can Re-Arm

On Tuesday, The New York Post reported the following:

Hezbollah said Tuesday it is now ready to engage in cease-fire talks with Israel, after suffering serious blows to its leadership and ranks in recent months.

The terror group in Lebanon made the announcement after firing more than 100 rockets at the Jewish state hours earlier.

Hezbollah’s deputy secretary general, Naim Qassem, publicly endorsed a truce with Israel, the first such time the terror group has proposed a cease-fire not conditioned on the war in Gaza.

We need to remember that the only time the Arabs or the United Nations call for a cease-fire in the Middle East is when Israel is winning and the Arabs involved need time to re-arm. You can bet if the terrorists were winning they would be avoiding talks for a cease-fire.

The article concludes:

It remains unclear if Israel would accept a cease-fire deal with Hezbollah as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated that the operations in Lebanon would not end until he is assured the terror group will no longer pose an active threat to northern Israel.

The US and France have repeatedly urged for the two sides to engage in a truce over fears the conflict would spark an all-out war in the Middle East.

The only was to deal with terrorists is to defeat them totally. Otherwise October 7, 2023, will be an event that happens periodically. America understood that in World War II. If we don’t remember it, we will be on our way to World War III.

The Biggest Cases Coming Up For The Supreme Court

On Sunday, The Daily Signal posted an article listing the biggest cases that will be decided by the Supreme Court in the upcoming session (which began Monday).

This is the list of the controversial cases:

  1. The case is called United States v. Skrmetti, and it involves a Tennessee law that bans giving children hormone treatments or genital surgeries to change a child’s body to match his or her chosen “gender identity.” That is, giving testosterone to and cutting off the breasts of girls who think they’re boys, and giving estrogen to and cutting off the penises of boys who think they’re girls.
  2. Americans have been handcrafting their own guns for hundreds of years. And for all those hundreds of years, nobody ever thought it was illegal. Even Democrats thought it was legal until just recently.What changed? Well, the Biden-Harris administration realized that it might be able to end this ancient tradition by deploying a slur. What were once handcrafted guns are now “ghost guns,” and with a name that spooky, they must be banned.
  3. The case is Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton, but don’t get confused by the plaintiff’s name. This case doesn’t involve a noble fight against Big Tech censorship or a righteous stand against a screaming campus mob. No, this case is brought by pornographers hiding their smut behind the banner of free speech.Pornography rots brains, especially children’s brains, so Texas joined 19 other states and prudently passed a law saying that pornographic websites must verify that their users are over 18 years old. Texas, being a free state, wanted to strike the balance of allowing adults the freedom to make the self-destructive choice of watching pornography while protecting children who are too immature to fully appreciate the consequences of that choice.
  4. The Biden-Harris administration is obsessed with telling us that anyone who disagrees with it hates democracy. But at the same time, members of the administration are obsessed with doing end-runs around Congress and local elected governments to impose their will on the country.Their latest end-run is so egregious that even San Francisco is fighting back. The case is San Francisco v. Environmental Protection Agency, in which a super-lefty presidential administration has gotten on the last nerve of a super-lefty city.

The Numbers Tell The Story

The media tells us that Israel is unmercifully killing civilian Palestinians, but is that really the truth? First of all, Israel invites the civilians to leave an area before it attacks. It recommends safe zones for them to go. Secondly, there are very few Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank who do not support Hamas.

On Monday, Pamela Geller reported the following on the Geller Report:

Don’t say “Hamas’ massacre.” Say “the Palestinian massacre.” That’s the way Palestinians see Oct. 7.

Every poll of Palestinians since October 7, 2023, by both AWRAD – Arab World for Research and Development, and PSR – Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, shows that an overwhelming majority of Palestinians supported and continue to support the rapes, torture, beheadings, and murder of more than 1,100 people in southern Israel led by Hamas, and their kidnapping of 250 hostages.

Significantly, the polls found that the support in the West Bank was higher than the that the Gaza Strip. Asked if they supported the attack on Oct 7, the first poll in November 2023 found West Bank support at 83%. Half a year later, in June 2024, after the destruction in Gaza, 73% still said that the decision to attack Israel was correct. In the Gaza Strip, two months into the war support had already dropped to 63% and continued to fall to only 31% in March 2024, saying it was correct to attack. Astonishingly, the joy over the rape, torture, beheadings, and murder of Israelis was so great that even after much of Gaza was in rubble following Israel’s counter attack, for West Bank Arabs that one day of horror inflicted on Israelis, made the destruction of Gaza an acceptable price to pay.

Israel did not start this war. They did not wantonly murder innocent women and children. From what I have read, the October 7th invasion by Hamas was supposed to happen at a later date simultaneously with an invasion in the north of Israel by Hezbollah. Thank God that Hamas got impatient and started without Hezbollah. The only path to peace in the Middle East is through the elimination of Hezbollah, Hamas, and the leaders of their sponsor nation, Iran. A regime change in Iran will begin to bring peace to the region.

FEMA Isn’t Really Broke

FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) isn’t really out of money. According to a Real Clear Investigations article posted on Sunday, FEMA has billions of dollars leftover from previous disasters.

The article reports:

While FEMA is expected to ask Congress for new money, budget experts note a surprising fact: FEMA is currently sitting on untapped reserves appropriated for past disasters stretching back decades.

An August report from the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General noted that in 2022, FEMA “estimated that 847 disaster declarations with approximately $73 billion in unliquidated funds remained open.” 

Drilling down on that data, the OIG found that $8.3 billion of that total was for disasters declared in 2012 or earlier.

Such developments are part of a larger pattern in which FEMA failed to close out specific grant programs “within a certain timeframe, known as the period of performance (POP),” according to the IG report. Those projects now represent billions in unliquidated appropriations that could potentially be returned to the DRF (Disaster Relief Fund).”

These “unliquidated obligations” reflect the complex federal budgeting processes. Safeguards are important so that FEMA funding doesn’t become a slush fund that the agency can spend however it chooses, budget experts said, but the inability to tap unspent appropriations from long-ago crises complicates the agency’s ability to respond to immediate disasters.

The article concludes:

Portnoy (Jeremy Portnoy of OpenTheBooks, a nonpartisan watchdog of government spending) first called attention to FEMA’s unspent funds in conversations with RealClearInvestigations on Sept. 8. He said it seems bizarre that federal officials would have a pot substantial enough to cover a projected shortfall while adding billions to the Disaster Relief Fund, but fail to draw on it.

“There is all that money just sitting there,” Portnoy said. “They’re saying they don’t have enough money but when you juxtapose it with the more than $8 billion, well, why not use that right now in Florida and other places?”

The “unliquidated obligations” have stayed on FEMA’s books because it “subjectively” extended the deadlines on some projects. The deadline for 2012’s Superstorm Sandy has been extended to 2026. 

“As a result, the potential risk for fraud, waste, and abuse increases the longer a program remains open,” a DHS report concluded.

Although DHS could probably reach into such unliquidated obligations to help restore order in areas devastated by Helene, experts note that bureaucracies are loath to resort to such tactics when budget negotiations are near, as they are when the fiscal year ends this month.

“The bridges that have been washed out, that’s not something FEMA will have to pay tomorrow,” Cavanaugh said.
