Concerns About ERIC

ERIC (Electronic Registration Information Center) is a voter-roll management system used by many states. Unfortunately, ERIC is not politically neutral.

On Monday, The Federalist posted an article saying that Alabama will withdraw from ERIC.

The article reports:

However, member states may not realize ERIC was started by far-left political activist David Becker, who has dedicated his life to attacking conservatives and advancing left-wing policies. Becker also started the Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR), one of two leftist groups that funneled $419 million in grants from Mark Zuckerberg to mostly blue counties of swing states, funding Democratic get-out-the-vote operations from government election offices in 2020. ERIC shares voter roll data – including records of unregistered citizens – with CEIR, which then reportedly creates targeted mailing lists for unregistered but likely Democrat voters and sends them back to the states for voter registration outreach.

Additionally, per government watchdog Verity Vote, ERIC doesn’t actually clean states’ voter rolls, but rather inflates them. Though member states are allegedly required to clean their voter rolls, nothing happens. A March 2022 audit by Michigan’s auditor general found the state’s Bureau of Elections failed to sufficiently clean its voter rolls, though Michigan had joined ERIC in 2019. Likewise, the District of Columbia (another ERIC member) has also been sued for its failure to clean its rolls.

The article concludes:

While Alabama’s outgoing secretary of state, John Merrill, has repeatedly signaled his support for ERIC, Allen campaigned on removing the state from the system. Instead of relying on ERIC to clean Alabama’s voter rolls, Allen plans on using change-of-address information from the United States Postal Service, driver’s license records from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and death records from the Alabama Department of Public Health to maintain accurate rolls.

Alabama is the second ERIC member state to withdraw from the pact. Louisiana suspended its participation in January over similar concerns.

If we are going to have honest elections, we need clean voting rolls. That’s really not that hard. When I moved from Massachusetts to North Carolina, I got a census letter from the town I lived in asking me to confirm that I still lived there. I suppose I could have lied, but it is a relatively small town, and eventually any lie would be discovered. Anyway, letters like that are how they keep their voter rolls updated. I also think that using information from the Post Office, Division of Motor Vehicles, and other public sources would be helpful in keeping voting records straight.

Forgetting The Reasons

On November 19th, American Greatness posted an article encouraging us to remember why we voted for President Trump in 2016. I did not initially support President Trump–all I knew about him was that he was rich and owned casinos. However, I voted against Hillary in the election. Later, I was totally impressed by the decisions he made. Among other things, the peace deals in the Middle East were thought to be impossible, and he got them done.

The article notes:

Most people do not understand the kind of true sacrifice Trump made when he decided to run for office—even though he surely didn’t have to. The hatred and other persecutions, the sorts that come with such public sacrifices, have the potential of ruining not only one’s own life but that of one’s family. Most people don’t know anything about what that’s like. Nevertheless, Trump chose to make those sacrifices to expose the unabashed corruption at every level of American politics.

Before Trump pulled back the curtain we only saw shadows and projections of what was actually happening there. We got only rare glimpses of what really goes on behind the scenes. We knew things weren’t on the up and up, but little did we know how deep the swamp really was. At that time, the Republican Party was lifeless and without any sense of direction. No one should forget that Trump resuscitated a dying party. He gave it a future. He gave it hope.

He was the people’s champion among those who felt left behind by the establishment on both sides. He put American politics under a microscope like no other president ever has.

The article concludes:

Without Trump at the helm for the last two years, the RINOs have regained much of the momentum they lost and they, like the Democrats, cannot stand the thought of another four years under Trump. Backing away from Trump now is ill considered. Make some of your own observations about these strange occurrences and remember why you liked Trump in the beginning.

Remember, the same people who were attacking him years ago are the ones still attacking him now, only today they are using a well-liked candidate (who owes a great deal to Trump) against him, causing a divide and duping everyone in the process. Consider who that really benefits. That says a lot to me.

President Trump is the only Republican wealthy enough to fight the Washington swamp and the only Republican willing to do it. Governor DeSantis has done a great job in Florida, but he will not fight the Washington swamp. He is a party animal–not an individual thinker. Unless you want your children and grandchildren to grow up in a third-world country where energy is rationed, food is scarce, and the average person is on a downhill slope economically, you need to support President Trump.

Setting Up Two Classes Of Citizens

On Sunday, Hot Air posted an article about Canada’s plan to tax those citizens who were not vaccinated against Covid-19. Public outcry caused the plan to be scrapped, but it is entirely possible that the plan will show up again, despite growing evidence of the ineffectiveness and dangers of the vaccine.

The article quotes the Canadian Medical Association Journal:

Quebec’s recent move to tax people who refuse COVID-19 vaccinations reopened debate about the merits of such penalties.

Premier François Legault said that choosing to remain unvaccinated has consequences for the health care system and not all Quebecers should foot the bill.

Roughly one in 10 adults in Quebec remain unvaccinated, yet they account for an outsized share of COVID-19 hospitalizations and about half of all intensive care patients.

With hospitals postponing surgeries and some 20 000 health workers sick with COVID-19, fining those who refuse vaccinations becomes “a question of fairness,” Legault said.

The article at Hot Air concludes:

But if Canada is really crazy enough to take a fresh look at this policy, what will they say to all of the people who resisted but were eventually forced to take the vaccines in light of more recent news? Keep in mind that many European nations have now stopped offering the vaccines to all but the oldest and the most at-risk. These nations include Denmark, Germany, France, Ireland, Norway, Italy, Spain and Sweden. Others are considering similar policies as the dangerous side effects of the vaccines for some groups become more apparent. (And that news is finally being allowed to reach the public without immediately being censored.)

If you are fired from your job, you might find a new avenue of employment later. If the government takes some of your money, you may be able to make up for the loss in the future. But once you’ve been injected with these experimental vaccines, you can never be “unvaccinated.” And if you or one of your children suddenly develop a potentially fatal case of Myocarditis, your lives aren’t going to simply “go back to normal.” And it’s worth noting that even the American government is now finally admitting that the new mRNA vaccines will not prevent you from being infected or spreading the virus to others. They just reduce the worst effects of the disease for most people. (I finally caught it in September and managed to make it through to the other side, though I still don’t fully have my senses of taste and smell back.)

The virus is here to stay and it will likely keep morphing into new variants as the seasons go by. In that regard, it’s pretty much the same as the flu at this point. Let’s not return to the craziness of 2020 and 2021, shall we? Making mistakes when we are ignorant of all of the facts about something new is excusable. Continuing to do so after more facts are known is not.

I had the virus before it was fashionable (and before the vaccine). When I had my antibodies tested more than a year later, I still had them. I realize that the virus is dangerous for some people, but I still think the best defense is your own antibodies.

One Judge Blocks Tyranny

On November 10th, Cowboy State Daily reported that U.S. District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty struck down a vaccine mandate for federally-employed preschool workers, and a masking requirement for the preschoolers, in 24 states, including Wyoming.

The article reports:

U.S. District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty compared the vaccine and masking mandate to “tyranny.”

“The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few or many … may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny,” wrote Doughty, quoting James Madison in his ruling against the mandate.

Doughty’s order, filed Sept. 21, forbids the U.S. Health and Human Services department from requiring Head Start preschool employees, classroom volunteers and contractors working with children and families to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. The mandate also required preschoolers ages 2-4 to wear masks in preschools nationwide.

But Doughty’s injunction of the law only applies in 24 states, including Wyoming, which was among the states that sued the U.S. Health and Human Services Department for dispatching the rule.

The article concludes:

The federal bureaus argued, conversely, that they had the right to mandate vaccination and masking because HHS is allowed to “modify” its own programs, because Head Start staffers check on preschoolers’ health throughout the course of their duties, and because the HHS secretary can implement standards he “finds to be appropriate.”

The court rejected the bureaus’ arguments.

Doughty wrote that Congress gave the Department of Health and Human Services the right to tweak its programs, but not to make changes of “vast economic and political significance.”

“There is nothing in (laws defining the bureaus) which would allow Agency Defendants to make medical decisions for employees and volunteers, and/or to require 2, 3, and 4-year-old students to wear masks the majority of the day,” wrote Doughty.

He also noted that since there were no additional funds given for the weekly testing of exempted workers, a required provision under the department’s rule, the states or local workers would have had to cover the costs of that requirement.

This is only a small part of the battle to get freedom back for Americans. Remember, the vaccine is only approved for emergency use, and Congress has begun to fight back against a continuing state of emergency (article here). The scientific evidence shows that neither basic cloth masks or the vaccine works. Vaccine passports will be the next way our government attempt to control Americans and deprive them of the freedoms to which we have become accustomed.

Bad News For America

On Saturday, The Daily Caller reported that President Biden has agreed to having America pay climate reparations to the rest of the world. Yes, I know that’s not what they are calling it, but that’s what it is.

The article reports:

The Biden administration and nearly 200 world governments agreed on Saturday to a framework that would have richer countries compensate poorer nations for damages allegedly caused by carbon emissions at the United Nations COP27 climate conference, according to Reuters.

Wealthy nations will create a “loss and damage” fund that will provide money to countries that have suffered from climate-related “disasters” such as droughts or hurricanes, according to a draft proposal seen by Reuters. However, most of the details of the financial framework will be decided and agreed upon in 2023 at the next COP conference that will take place in Dubai.

In March 2016, I reported the following (article here):

…former United Nations climate official Ottmar Edenhofer:

“One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with the environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole,” said Edenhofer, who co-chaired the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group on Mitigation of Climate Change from 2008 to 2015.

So what is the goal of environmental policy?

“We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy,” said Edenhofer.

The Biden administration is part of the move toward worldwide socialism. This latest giveaway of American taxpayer dollars is part of that effort.

The article concludes:

COP27 has been dominated by the debate surrounding a plan to compensate developing nations for climate damages, according to Reuters. The European Union said Thursday that it would support such a framework if China, the world’s chief polluter, would provide funding and if the money raised was exclusively earmarked for developing countries that are destitute to ensure that China did not benefit from the proposal, according to the WSJ.

After agreeing to the climate financing framework, the U.S. also called for the inclusion of a pledge to phase out all fossil fuels which would build on the 2021 agreement to “phase down” coal use, according to Bloomberg.

The White House and United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

This is another reason we need to vote the Biden administration out of office in 2024.

Strengthening The Military Industrial Complex

On Monday, The Daily Update posted an article about the purchase of a used icebreaker.

The article reports:

Russia has 40 icebreakers, and China is bolstering its fleet to fulfill President Xi Jinping’s hopes of becoming a “polar great power.” With only two ships – the heavy Polar Star and the medium Healy, both of which are nearly half a century old and 10 years past their prime – the US is playing catch up. The States are building more ships but need something in the interim, so the Coast Guard is on the verge of acquiring a vessel from private energy company Edison Chouest Offshore for roughly $125 to $150 million:

The Coast Guard needs colossal icebreakers because they’re the only way to approach foreign crafts in frozen waters, conduct search-and-rescue operations or launch pollution-control efforts. The Department of Defense also said there are plenty of opportunities for establishing commercial fishing and oil campaigns in the Arctic.
Last month, the White House released a 10-year strategic plan to strengthen its homeland defense and deter Russian and Chinese activity in the region. Vladimir Putin’s war with Ukraine has also inflamed tensions, making “government-to-government cooperation with Russia in the Arctic virtually impossible,” the report says.

The article notes the following:

From 2011 to 2020, the number of small and large businesses receiving DoD contracts plummeted 43% and 7.3%, respectively. As opposed to having a wide pool to shop from, the US military now begrudgingly relies on a few “Walmarts of war” as University of California Professor Daniel Wirls put it. Don’t expect any blue light specials on Javelin anti-tank missiles.

The government has created a monopoly of a few companies that are supplying weapons and other goods to the Department of Defense. This is not a good situation. Eisenhower warned us about the military-industrial complex, and the Biden administration is strengthening that same military-industrial complex. Unfortunately, that is the same military-industrial complex that profits from endless wars that never seem to be over or won.

Public Schools In Some Places Need To Be Closed

The insanity in our public schools is out of control. Today, The Conservative Review reported the following:

A Rhode Island elected school board official involved in promoting a diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda in the district, recently came under fire for claiming that intentionally “misgendering” someone is an “act of violence” that “needs to be dealt with accordingly.”

Jennifer Lima, elected member of the North Kingstown School Committee, shared a social media post from an activist group on November 12 that read, “Purposefully misgendering students is an act of violence. Respond accordingly.”

Lima added to the shared post, “I recognize that some may find the use of the word violence in this post extreme.”

“Any act of violence in our schools which creates an unsafe environment (physically or emotionally by or for any member of the school community) needs to be dealt with accordingly,” Lima continued.

Lima was consequently slammed online by critics who interpreted her post as advocating a violent response to using incorrect pronouns.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Lima explained, “I also believe that purposely misgendering someone is an act of psychological violence when done deliberately and consistently and should be responded to accordingly.”

The article concludes:

Nicole Solas, a senior fellow with the Independent Women’s Forum, disagreed and told Fox News Digital, “If you believe you’re under threat of violence then to ‘respond accordingly’ means you act in self-defense, which is a physical and often violent action taken to protect yourself.”

“Her public call for students to ‘respond accordingly’ to non-existent violence is her own tacit call to violence against those who oppose her radical ideology,” Solas continued. “She creates a hostile, paranoid school environment where violence is now more likely to happen thanks to her hysterical message that danger lurks around every pronoun.”

Lima previously faced a failed recall effort in 2021 launched by the Gaspee Project, a Rhode Island-based nonprofit. The group accused Lima of pushing “antiracist” policies and a “Marxist” agenda.

The Gaspee Project stated that the school board official was “openly seeking to indoctrinate students with divisive race and gender theories as well as anti-police propaganda.”

Lima stated that the organization targeted her for being “vocal about deeper antiracism education.”

North Kingstown is a pretty town on the West side of Narragansett Bay. For many years it was the home of Quonset Point Naval Air Station and the Davisville Seabee base. Because it was a military town, it tended to be conservative despite being in a liberal state. It is sad to see a teacher in this quiet little town trying to indoctrinate her students and incite violence. She should be recalled.

We Need To Watch This Case Closely

On Saturday, The Western Journal reported that

Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright — with the Elections Integrity Unit — wrote a letter to the Maricopa County officials Saturday demanding an accounting for the widespread ballot tabulation and ballot printer problems seen during the general election on Nov. 8.

Among the most troubling issues raised in the letter directed to Thomas Liddy with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office was the apparent co-mingling of ballots in black duffle bags in at least one polling location, which were successfully run through the on-site tabulators with those put in “Door 3” to be sent to the Election Department’s downtown Phoenix tabulation center because they could not be read.

“The Elections Integrity Unit (“Unit”) of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office (“AGO”) has received hundreds of complaints since Election Day pertaining to issues related to the administration of the 2022 General Election in Maricopa County,” Wright opened her letter.

“These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law,” she continued.

Wright wrote that statements made by Maricopa Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates and County Recorder Stephen Richer, along with other official communications from the county appear to confirm potential election law violations.

Unfortunately, election fraud has been part of American elections for many years. Chicago Mayor Richard Daly is said to have delivered Ilinois’ electoral votes to John Kennedy in 1960 under questionable circumstances. What we need to do is take measures to limit the amount of fraud possible–voter id laws, ballot harvesting laws that are enforced, signature verification on absentee ballots, etc. We may eventually have to go to paper ballots and hand counts. I think the purple finger in Iraq worked really well. At any rate, watch Arizona to see if anyone is willing to challenge voter fraud and if they can do it successfully.

Playing Word Games With Americans’ Health

On Saturday, The Epoch Times posted the following headline:

FDA Says Telling People Not to Take Ivermectin for COVID-19 Was Just a Recommendation

The article reports:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) telling people to “stop” taking ivermectin for COVID-19 was informal and just a recommendation, government lawyers argued during a recent hearing.

“The cited statements were not directives. They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do. They said, for example, why you should not take ivermectin to treat COVID-19. They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin,” Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers, told the court during the Nov. 1 hearing in federal court in Texas.

“They use informal language, that is true,” he also said, adding that, “it’s conversational but not mandatory.”

The hearing was held in a case brought by three doctors who say the FDA illegally interfered with their ability to prescribe medicine to their patients when it issued statements on ivermectin, an anti-parasitic that has shown positive results in some trials against COVID-19.

Ivermectin is approved by the FDA but not for COVID-19. Drugs are commonly used for non-approved purposes in the United States; the practice is known as off-label treatment.

This is a link to a CDC Health Advisory put out on August 26, 2021. I suspect that as this case moves forward, this Advisory may disappear, so I will quote some of it here:

Recommendations for the Public
Be aware that currently, ivermectin has not been proven as a way to prevent or treat COVID19.

Do not swallow ivermectin products that should be used on skin (e.g., lotions and creams) or are
not meant for human use, such as veterinary ivermectin products.

Seek immediate medical attention or call the poison control center hotline (18002221222) for advice if you have taken ivermectin or a product that contains ivermectin and are having
symptoms. Signs and symptoms include gastrointestinal effects (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea), headache, blurred vision, dizziness, fast heart rate, and low blood pressure.
Other severe nervous system effects have been reported, including tremors, seizures, hallucinations, confusion, loss of coordination and balance, decreased alertness, and coma.

Get vaccinated against COVID19. COVID19 vaccination is approved by FDA and is the safest and most effective way to prevent getting sick and protect against severe disease and death from SARSCoV2, the virus that causes COVID19, including the Delta variant.

Protect yourself and others from getting sick with COVID19. In addition to vaccination, wear masks in indoor public places, practice staying at least six feet from other people who don’t live in your household, avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces, and wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer that has at least 60 percent alcohol.

The article at The Epoch Times concludes:

“The government engaged in a singularly effective campaign here to malign a common drug that has been used for a very long time and has been dispensed in billions of doses. It’s one of the most famously safe drugs in the history of human medicine. And when people did exactly what the FDA said to ‘Stop it. Stop it with the ivermectin,’ I don’t understand how that would not be traceable back to the FDA,” Kelson said.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown, a Trump appointee overseeing the case, said that he was most concerned about the social media statements because they did not include any qualifiers.

Belfer argued the statements were aimed at consumers and that the Twitter posts linked to one of the pages, which does include the qualifier.

“So it was predictable that if you include the link to the article, people will click on the link and will see the full article, which includes that disclaimer that if your doctor writes you a prescription, you should fill it exactly as prescribed,” he said.

“The plaintiffs, by their own admission, have continued to prescribe ivermectin. So they always had the authority. It may be that patients were not able to fill prescriptions, but the doctors themselves always had the authority,” he added later.

Brown said he appreciated the briefing from the parties and that he would rule “as quickly as we can for ya’ll.” As of Nov. 19, he has not issued a ruling.

The government did everything it could to prevent the use of Ivermectin. The problem with Ivermectin is that it is cheap and the pharmaceutical companies do not make a lot of money on it. The medical profession has sold its soul for money, and people around the world have did because of it. Accountability is in order.

The Voters Got It Right

On Tuesday The Washington Free Beacon reported that Rachel Mitchell has won in Maricopa County attorney’s special election. Her opponent, Julie Gunnigle, was funded by some very interesting people.

The article reports:

Julie Gunnigle (D.), a George Soros-backed prosecutor whose radical pro-abortion stance made waves throughout the campaign, has lost the Maricopa County attorney’s special election to Republican Rachel Mitchell.

Mitchell was winning by 4 points with 94 percent of ballots tabulated when Gunnigle conceded on Monday. The Democrat said the results prove “a continuation of the legacy of corruption within the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.” Mitchell, a veteran prosecutor who has served as acting Maricopa County attorney since March, declared victory in a press release later that day.

“Public safety isn’t partisan,” she said. “All Arizonans demand safe communities in which to live, work, and raise their children.”

Gunnigle took $6,550 from Way to Lead PAC, which received hundreds of thousands of dollars from Soros’s Democracy PAC. During the campaign, she caught flak following a Washington Free Beacon report that she partnered with abortion clinics that sold fetal organs. Mitchell allies referred to the story in direct text messages to voters, prompting Gunnigle in a September tweet to dismiss the report as “disinformation.”

The article concludes:

Gunnigle also ran for county attorney in 2020, losing to Republican incumbent Allister Adel, who resigned in March. Gunnigle’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

Mitchell is widely known for participating as an expert on sex crimes in the 2018 Senate confirmation hearings for Justice Brett Kavanaugh. She informed senators that “a reasonable prosecutor” would never have relied on Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony against Kavanaugh.

Mitchell will serve two years before she is up for reelection to a full, four-year term in 2024.

We need to pay attention to who is making campaign donations to candidates. One of the best sources for up-to-date information on candidate funding is Open Secrets. It is helpful to occasionally check in with Discover the Networks just to see the connections the news media somehow overlooks.

It Won’t Stop There

Do you honestly think that the constant attack and investigation of President Trump is actually about President Trump? Do you think the people behind the constant attacks and investigations of President Trump will stop with him? Do you honestly believe that whoever is the Republican presidential candidate in 2024 will not be subject to the same attacks and misuse of government power that President Trump has been subjected to? Can you honestly say that a Special Prosecutor should be appointed to investigate President Trump but not Hunter or President Biden’s business dealings? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you should probably not waste your time reading any more of this article.

On Friday, Breitbart reported the following:

Attorney General Merrick Garland reportedly plans to name a special counsel to investigate former President Donald Trump, though he has yet to name such counsel to investigate President Joe Biden or his son, Hunter.

Update: Garland named John L. Smith as special counsel Friday afternoon in a televised press statement. According to LinkedIn, Smith is the Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Rights Division at U.S. Department of Justice — one of the most highly politicized, left-wing departments within the agency.

Hunter Biden acknowledged in December 2020 that he had been under federal investigation for possible tax violations. Since then, the investigation reportedly broadened to include more of his global business dealings.

However, Attorney General Garland has declined to appoint a special counsel, despite criticism from legal scholars who say that greater political independence is needed in an inquiry involving the president’s family.

On Thursday, I posted the following from The Washington Post:

Federal agents and prosecutors have come to believe former president Donald Trump’s motive for allegedly taking and keeping classified documents was largely his ego and a desire to hold on to the materials as trophies or mementos, according to people familiar with the matter.

The appointment of a Special Prosecutor is political. It is a preemptive strike to make sure the Republicans cannot win the White House in 2024. The politicization of justice that has occurred during the Biden administration is a serious threat to our Republic. If this stands, the criminalization of political views that are not in agreement with the party in power will become part of our daily life.

President Trump Is Running

I watched President Trump’s speech Tuesday night. It was a reminder to me of how much things have changed in the past two years. I remember when my grocery bill was a lot lower and it cost me less to fill up my gas tank. I remember when my stock portfolio was not scary to check. I remember when our southern border was on the way to being secured and the amount of drugs coming over that border decreased. I remember when we weren’t sending millions of dollars and some ‘noncombatant’ soldiers overseas to support a war. The country is not in a good place right now. Under the current leadership of both parties, the country will not return to a good place.

Temporarily at least, the uni-party has won. The Republicans have taken control of the House of Representatives, but there are no indications of a change in leadership. I will believe that there will be honest investigations of the misdeeds of the Biden family and the Biden administration when I see them. I am not optimistic.

Meanwhile, this mid-term election taught us the difference between ballots and votes. Votes are in-person and have some degree of assurance that the person is a legal voter and is who they say they are. Mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting are two of the biggest invitations to voter fraud that we have. I am willing to bet that until we deal with mail in ballots and ballot harvesting, we will never see another Republican President.

I have some thoughts for the never-Trumpers. They are all over the internet today fact-checking and criticizing. Were they not paying attention during the four years Donald Trump was President? How did their household budgets look? How much were they paying for gas? Did they enjoy the benefits of America becoming energy independent? Did they feel safer knowing that America’s southern border was being secured? If you don’t support President Trump, keep in mind that any Republican candidate who is not part of the uni-party (and I am not sure there is anyone in leadership who fits that description) will be subject to the same sort of attack that has been waged against President Trump. Do you believe anyone else would be willing to fight back against that attack?

The uni-party in Washington cannot afford to have an outsider become President. They like their power, and they want to hold on to it. Expect a media, Justice Department, and political attack on President Trump the likes of which we have never seen.

Losing Our Freedom

On Thursday, The Daily Caller reported that on Wednesday President Biden signed a joint communique with Group of 20 leaders in Bali. The President signed the communique in order to “build on the success” of global vaccine passports.

Recently (at hearings at the European Parliament) Pfizer’s president of international developed markets, Janine Small, testified that Pfizer never tested whether their jab would prevent transmission because they had to “move at the speed of science to understand what is happening in the market … and we had to do everything at risk.” In early November I posted an article that included some of the testimony at those hearings. (article here) There is no justification for either a vaccine mandate or a vaccine passport. Actually, the only thing the manufacturers of the vaccines are currently claiming is that if you have been vaccinated and catch Covid, you will have a milder case. However, there is no scientific way to prove that.

The article at The Daily Caller notes:

The Biden administration shot down rumors the White House would order federal vaccine passports in May 2021.

“The government is not now nor will we be supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential,” former Press Secretary Jen Psaki said. “There will be no federal vaccinations database and no federal mandate requiring everyone to obtain a single vaccination credential.”

While private and nonprofit organizations could consider requiring patrons to present proof of vaccination to receive services, the federal government should steer away from requiring vaccination for airline travel and other cross-border activities, Psaki said.

However, the G20’s recent declaration, which summit host Indonesian President Joko Widodo insisted be unanimous, appeared to support international vaccination mandates.

The European Union introduced vaccination passport, or EU Digital COVID Certificate, for intra-EU travel in 2021, and some countries still mandate full vaccination prior to entry.

Promises made, promises broken.

Does Anyone Else See The Irony In This?

It is no secret that the Democrats almost unanimously support abortion. They consider it health care. In many states the Democrats are fighting for abortion rights right up until the delivery of the baby. The Democrats are also the party of illegal immigration. They are entirely comfortable with the idea of letting people just come here and become citizens. Well, Senator Schumer just brought those two ideas together.

On Wednesday, NewsMax reported the following:

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Wednesday that America needs new immigrants “now more than ever” to combat declining reproduction rates and the lowest population growth in the country’s history.

“Now more than ever, we’re short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to,” Schumer said during a press conference Wednesday. “The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants. The ‘Dreamers,’ and all of them.”

He said the “ultimate goal” is to help not only the Dreamers, but to “get a path to citizenship for all 11 million [illegal immigrants].”

Has it occurred to the Senator that the low population growth might be somewhat related to the fact that we are aborting the future generations.

Live Action reported the following in June 2022:

  • Abortions in 2020 (930,160) showed an increase of nearly 8% from 2017 — an increase of 67,840 lives lost.
  • The abortion rate in 2020 (abortions per 1,000 women aged 15–44) climbed by 7% (from 13.5 in 2017  to 14.4  in 2020).
  • The abortion increase was accompanied by a 6% decline in births between 2017 and 2020.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that abortion might be one factor in
America’s declining reproduction rate.

The Problem With Mail-In Ballots

On Monday, The Independent Journal Review posted an article about signature verification used on mail-in ballots in Nevada.

The article reports:

For the second congressional election in a row, a journalist has demonstrated that there is a potential hole that could be exploited in the way one Nevada county deals with mail-in ballots.

In 2020, columnist Victor Joecks of the Las Vegas Review-Journal tested Clark County, Nevada’s signature verification process for mail-in ballots, and found that eight ballots were accepted in which the handwriting on the envelope containing the ballot and the ballot itself was different.

This year, six ballots made it through, he wrote in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

“I had 11 people send me a picture of their ballot envelope. I then wrote their name in my handwriting. Each voter then copied my version of their signature onto their ballot return envelope.

“They sent me a picture to ensure it wasn’t their normal handwriting. This simulated signing someone else’s ballot,” he wrote. “It’s also legal because each voter signed his or her own ballot.”

In a perfect system, all 11 would have been set aside, he said. Instead, only five failed to make it through.

So according to what he did, it is possible that slightly over half of the ballots accepted could have invalid signatures.

The article concludes:

Nevada voters had until Monday to resolve problems with mail-in ballots, a process known as curing.

Joe Gloria, Clark County’s registrar of voters, said that as of Saturday there were 14,651 uncured ballots in his county, of which 7,139 remained unresolved as of Saturday, according to The Washington Post.

Let’s just all go to the polls on election day like we used to. I would even allow one extra day, but I would not allow mail-in ballots. There is too much opportunity for fraud.

Is Anyone Really Surprised?

On Wednesday, PJ Media posted an article about the August 8 raid the Trump estate at Mar-a-Lago. It has become more obvious that the Democrats were hoping to find something that would end the support for President Trump. Well, aside from using the Department of Justice for political purposes, the Democrats have been left with egg of their faces.

The article quotes The Washington Post. The headline in The Washington Post article is:

Investigators see ego, not money, as Trump’s motive on classified papers

Seems a bit snarky to me. If you had been President, wouldn’t you save mementos of significant things that had happened during your presidency or things that you were proud of accomplishing?

The article at The Washington Post states:

Federal agents and prosecutors have come to believe former president Donald Trump’s motive for allegedly taking and keeping classified documents was largely his ego and a desire to hold on to the materials as trophies or mementos, according to people familiar with the matter.

As part of the investigation, federal authorities reviewed the classified documents that were recovered from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and private club, looking to see if the types of information contained in them pointed to any kind of pattern or similarities, according to these people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

That review has not found any apparent business advantage to the types of classified information in Trump’s possession, these people said. FBI interviews with witnesses so far, they said, also do not point to any nefarious effort by Trump to leverage, sell or use the government secrets. Instead, the former president seemed motivated by a more basic desire not to give up what he believed was his property, these people said.

PJ Media notes:

Not only did the FBI not find any nuclear bomb codes, but they also found no evidence that Trump was looking to “leverage, sell or use the government secrets.”

So Trump wasn’t selling nuclear secrets on Craigslist after all. Who knew? Everyone. And that likely includes the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Needless to say, WaPo couldn’t just admit the “Trump has nuclear secrets for sale” flapdoodle was the latest Hail Mary pass to send Trump to prison and that it proved to be another flaccid member of the “get Trump” orgy. They threw the idea in near the very end that they still might come up with something juicy:

PJ Media concludes:

In other words, the “Trump is selling nuclear secrets” lie is over. He kept a few tchotchkes from his four years serving as the greatest president in recent history. The nerve!

Please forward this article to your liberal sister harpy-in-law and her blue-haired, trans-pansexual, gelding lady-boyfriend who clung like sad, tragic barnacles to the embarrassing lie that Trump was trying to sell nuclear missiles to the Kaiser — or whatever it is they needed to believe.

Even if this information is shouted from the rooftops, there will be people who will hang on to the lie as if it were true. Trump derangement syndrome is real. The thing people need to understand is that if President Trump is not the candidate in 2024, there will be a new derangement syndrome attached to whomever the Republican candidate is (if he is not part of the uni-party). It really isn’t about Trump. It’s about destroying any threat to the uni-party in Washington.

I’m Not Holding My Breath

During her reign as Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi established a number of precedents. Some of them were highly partisan should have been undone by the Republicans. However, they were not. So here we are, waiting for Karma.

On Wednesday PJ Media posted an article about some of the actions of Speaker Pelosi and some of the promises made by Kevin McCarthy.

The article notes:

Last year Pelosi and the Democrats stripped Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) of her committee assignments over past comments she made, and later censured and removed Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) from his committee assignments over a video he tweeted.

Republicans argued at the time that Democrats were establishing a “dangerous” precedent whereby the “majority party can punish a member of the minority party by removing their committee assignments.”

In a sense, they were warned that they would “rue the day” they established this precedent, and that day is hopefully coming soon. It took long enough, but the Republican Party finally secured the House Majority on Tuesday evening, which also means that Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) will be Speaker of the House.

McCarthy has repeatedly promised that he would remove Reps. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) from their respective committees. There are more legitimate reasons to remove all four of them from their committee assignments than there were to remove Greene and Gosar. Waters infamously incited violence by urging people to confront Trump officials in public, Omar has a habit of making blatantly anti-Semitic statements, Swalwell had an affair with a Chinese spy, and Schiff lied about seeing intelligence proving Trump colluded with Russia.

If the Republicans ever want to win another election, Kevin McCarthy needs to keep this promise. Many of us are tired of being perpetual wimps. I know it’s good to be the ‘nice guy,’ but sometimes you have to stand up for yourself. Mealy-mouthed Republicans who do nothing will not get re-elected. The MAGA crowd that the establishment fears will primary them and win.

This Is How Checks And Balances Are Supposed To Work

Despite what the mainstream media is telling you, the midterms were not a total disaster for the Republicans. The youth vote played a major role in the lack of success for Republicans–many gen X and millennials voted for student loan forgiveness and unfettered abortion rights. The student loan promise has already been taken from them. Possibly that might be a lesson for them. The popular vote was Republican, with certain Democrat strongholds preventing the Republican party from taking control of the Senate. There were some computer anomalies and ballot harvesting, but that has come to be part of elections in America. As I have previously stated, unless our voting paradigm changes, we will never see another Republican President.

Meanwhile, some of the Democrats have realized that the policies of the Biden administration are not popular with many Americans and have decided to protect their political future.

On Wednesday, Trending Politics posted the following headline:

13 Democrat Senators Revolt After Midterm Election, Deal Massive Blow to Biden’s Agenda

The article explains that thirteen Democrat Senators voted to to end the Covid “public health emergency” that the Biden administration had recently extended until April 2023.

The article reports:

While it is unclear if the House of Representatives will immediately take up the measure, Speaker Nancy Pelosi is now on borrowed time. Her tenure at the top of Congressional leadership is set to come to an end on January 3, 2023 with the projected incoming Republican-led House.

12 Democrats joined in with the Republicans to put an end to the Covid public health emergency declaration: Sen. John Hickenlooper (CO), Sen. Tim Kaine (VA), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN), Sen. Joe Manchin (WV), Sen. Chris Murphy (CT), Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (NH), Sen. Jon Tester (MT), Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (AZ), Sen. Mark Warner (VA), Sen. Cortez-Masto (NV), Sen. Jacky Rosen (NV) and Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (NY). Sen. Angus King (ME) is officially an Independent, but caucuses with Democrats.

The article notes:

Ending the declaration would weaken the federal government’s ability to respond to Covid-19 surges, the OMB claimed.

“Preserving our ability to respond is more important than ever as we head into the winter, when respiratory illnesses such as Covid-19 typically spread more easily,” the statement said. “Strengthened by the ongoing declaration of national emergency, the federal response to Covid-19 continues to save lives, improve health outcomes, and support the American economy.”

However, as the CDC earlier pointed out, over 95% of Americans have some form of protection to Covid-19. The currently predominant BA.4 and BA.5 variants are far less deadly than earlier strains, and an estimated 97% of Americans have natural immunity from prior infection, according to CDC data.

Ending the emergency would also impact the use of the vaccine, which is approved only for emergency use and would therefore end vaccine mandates.

What we saw during 2020 and 2022 was government tyranny. The government decided who could do business and who could not. The vaccine mandates created two classes of people. Many unvaccinated people were called ‘grandma murders’ despite the fact that they might have had natural immunity. Relatives were denied access to dying family members. In some states, Covid patients were sent into nursing homes to expose the most vulnerable to the disease. The government handled the Covid pandemic so badly that I sincerely question whether or not we should ever give them emergency powers again.

Another Reason To Leave The United Nations

On Sunday, CBN News reported that on Friday, the United Nations voted 98-17, with 52 abstentions to have the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to advise the world body concerning Israel’s “occupation” of territories in the West Bank (biblical Judea and Samaria, including Jerusalem), maintaining that it is a form of de facto annexation. Thankfully, the United States voted against the resolution. The measure will next go to the UN General plenary in December to be officially ratified.

The article reports:

Lapid  (outgoing Prime Minister Yair Lapid) cautioned that the vote could prompt more violence from Palestinians. “This step will not change the reality on the ground, nor will it help the Palestinian people in any way; it may even result in an escalation,” he warned. “Supporting this move is a prize for terrorist organizations and the campaign against Israel.”

Israel’s UN Ambassador Gilad Erdan tweeted, “there is no authority that can declare that the Jewish nation is an occupier in its homeland,” and added that the appeal to the ICJ in The Hague was “the last nail in the burial coffin” of reconciliation between Israel and the Palestinians. Defense Minister Benny Gantz said the resolution was “disconnected from reality.”

The resolution contains language stating that Israel’s continued control of territories it won in the 1967 Six-Day War can be considered a form of annexation, and therefore is not legal. Since 1967, Israel declared sovereignty over Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, but military law still applies in other parts of the West Bank.

The Biden administration had campaigned against the UN resolution and urged Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas not to introduce it. Part of Abbas’s strategy may be to cement his legacy, since the 87-year-old president has not held elections in 16 years and a succession struggle is in its early stages.

The resolution also calls for investigations into Israeli actions concerning its capital which are “aimed at altering the demographic composition, character, and status of the Holy City of Jerusalem.” It also says Israel has adopted “discriminatory legislation and measures.”

Until the Palestinian Authority removes from its charter the goal of removing Israel as a nation, there is no possibility of a peaceful, two-state solution. The Palestinian people may want peace, but their leaders do not. We need to remember that when the Arabs controlled the Old City part of Jerusalem, the Jews were not allowed to worship there. Jews are still not allowed to pray on the Temple Mount. Israel is a democracy. Arab states generally do not support democracy.

Shouldn’t They Have Done This First?

On Sunday, The Conservative Review reported:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 11, 2020. A week later, the FDA issued an EUA for Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine. Now, nearly two years later, Pfizer and Moderna will launch clinical trials to track adverse health issues stemming from the COVID-19 vaccines, such as myocarditis – inflammation of the heart muscle.

Pfizer is in the infancy of beginning clinical trials to determine if there are any health risks associated with their own vaccine. In a partnership with the Pediatric Heart Network, the trial will focus on vaccine recipients who have suffered heart issues following being jabbed with the COVID-19 vaccine. The clinical trials will monitor patients for five years.

Enrollment for the study in the U.S. and Canada has not started yet. However, the research team has already identified more than 250 patients with myocarditis, according to Dr. Dongngan Truong – a pediatrician at the University of Utah Health and a co-lead on the Pfizer study.

NBC News reported on Friday, “The team will also compare the patients to a subset of patients with multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, also known as MIS-C, which is associated with a COVID infection.”

The article concludes:

In July 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report that stated: “An elevated risk for myocarditis among mRNA COVID-19 vaccinees has been observed, particularly in males aged 12–29 years.”

The report found, “Myocarditis reporting rates were 40.6 cases per million second doses of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines administered to males aged 12−29 years.”

The CDC added, “Myocarditis and pericarditis have rarely been reported. When reported, the cases have especially been in adolescents and young adult males within several days after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna).”

In April, an Israeli large-population study of 196,992 unvaccinated adults who were post-COVID-19 infection were “not associated with either myocarditis or pericarditis.”

“We did not observe an increased incidence of neither pericarditis nor myocarditis in adult patients recovering from COVID-19 infection,” the authors wrote.

I believe that the federal government wants to include the Covid vaccine in its list of vaccines required for children to attend school. Until this study is completed, that is not a good idea.

Stopping The Mutilation Of Children

On Saturday, The Daily Caller posted an article about a recent decision by a federal judge regarding the issue of gender identity.

The article reports:

A federal judge has reversed a Biden Administration rule that directed the Department of Health and Human Services to increase access to sex change surgeries and hormone therapies, including to children, in a Friday ruling.

Biden’s HHS said in May 2021 that it would interpret a section of the Affordable Care Act, which bars doctors from discriminating on the basis of sex, as covering sexual orientation and gender identity. Two doctors represented by the America First Legal Foundation brought a class action lawsuit against the Biden administration after the HHS took the action, arguing that the rule would interfere with their ability to properly practice medicine.

The judge argued that the Biden administration’s interpretation of Title IX to include “gender identity,” was faulty and could not be changed until Congress passed a law to that effect, or the Supreme Court ruled otherwise.

In recent years, we as Americans have subverted the lawmaking process our Founding Fathers put into place. Many, if not all, of our laws are being made by government agencies and Executive Orders rather than Congress. Executive Orders are easily overturned by subsequent Presidents, but laws by the bureaucracy seem to go unchallenged.

The article concludes:

The judge also added that by extending sex protections to individuals who identified with a sex other than their biological sex, the purpose of Title IX was compromised.

“Defendants’ reinterpretation of Title IX through the Notification imperils the very opportunities for women Title IX was designed to promote and protect — categorically forcing biological women to compete against biological men.”

Several states have moved to ban sex change procedures for minors. Florida’s Board of Medicine has voted to ban sex change surgeries and hormones for children under 18. Tennessee lawmakers introduced a bill to ban the procedures Wednesday.

The way to treat gender dysphoria is not to surgically confirm it–the way to treat it is to find the underlying cause or simply wait for the child to outgrow it.

American Culture In Germany

On Sunday the NFL played a football game in Munich, Germany. The game was between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks. Tom Brady played an outstanding game, and the Buccaneers won, but to me, that was not the highlight of the event.

On Sunday, The Washington Examiner reported:

The NFL hosted its first game in Europe on Sunday to an excited, packed crowd in Munich, Germany.

Allianz Arena, typically the home to the country’s soccer team Bayern Munich, had 69,811 of its 70,000 seats filled for the game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Seattle Seahawks. At different points throughout the game, the crowd sang along to American classics such as “Seven Nation Army” by the White Stripes, “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver, and “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond.

What fun!I guess my years in Massachusetts are showing–I have a great deal of respect for Tom Brady; and whenever I hear “Sweet Caroline,” I think of the Boston Red Socks.

The article concludes:

“That was one of the great football experiences I’ve ever had,” Brady told reporters following the game. “It says a lot for 23 years in the league and for a regular-season game. I think the fan turnout was incredible. It felt, like, very electric from the time we took the field.”

There are four other international games scheduled for 2022, with one slated for Mexico and the other three in the United Kingdom. Germany will host three more games across the next four seasons, hosting one more at Bayern Munich and two at Frankfurt Stadium.

Please follow the link to the article to watch the videos of the songs. In a messed-up world, it is wonderful to see people thoroughly enjoying themselves and sharing cultures.

What New Insanity Is This?

On November 9th, Breitbart reported the following:

Brían Nguyen, a biological male who identifies as female has won Miss Greater Derry 2023 in New Hampshire, making Nguyen the first transgender titleholder within the Miss America Organization.

“In the 100 year history of Miss America, I have officially become the FIRST transgender titleholder within the Miss America Organization,” Nguyen said in an Instagram post.

This is a picture of the contestants:

The article notes:

The Miss Greater Derry Scholarship Program touts itself as an entity that has been “providing scholarship opportunities to young women in the greater Derry area since 1987,” according to its website.

The Miss Greater Derry pageant is also “part of the Miss New Hampshire and Miss America family,” the program adds.

I guess I’m just old-fashioned, but I think the judges need glasses.
