When You Forget Past History, You Say Stupid Things

There is so much garbage in the media right now about President Trump going after his political enemies. It is garbage. I would like to remind everyone that if Hillary Clinton had been anyone other than Hillary Clinton, she would have gone to jail for her secret server and for destroying evidence. President Trump, in the interest of not further dividing the country, chose not to take that route. There was a legitimate open-and-shut case to send her to jail. Other people have gone to jail for similar crimes.

On Saturday, The Hill posted an article by Jonathan Turley about the Democrats wanting pre-emptive pardons from President Biden before he leaves office. If President Trump did not put Hillary Clinton in jail when there was an obvious violation of the law, why would he put his political enemies in jail? The Republicans are not the party that does that.

The article reports:

Liberal pundits and press in Washington are facing a growing nightmare in Washington. No, it is not the victory of President-elect Donald Trump or the Democrats’ loss of both houses of Congress and the popular vote in this election. It is the possibility that democracy may not collapse as predicted, and Trump might not even round up his opponents en masse.

For months, liberals have been telling voters that this will likely be their last election and that democracy is about to end in the U.S. ABC host Whoopi Goldberg declared on “The View” that Trump will immediately become a dictator who will “put you people away … take all the journalists … take all the gay folks … move you all around and disappear you.”

I hope that Americans are smart enough to recognize total propaganda when they see it.

The article concludes:

Trump may be the only one who is not interested in a trophy pardon. What is the value of being part of the resistance if you are not being pursued, persecuted or pardoned?

It seems like some of the same people who had hoped to be on the list for the Biden Inaugural balls are now making calls to make the Biden pardon list. If Biden were to yield to calls for hundreds or even thousands of pardons, the loss of political standing for those not making the list could become intolerable. For any self-respecting armchair resistance fighter in 2025, a Biden pardon could become the latest status symbol.

Notre Dame Is Reopening On December 8

On Wednesday, Hot Air posted an article about the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. In 2019, the historic cathedral was seriously damaged in a fire. The article at Hot Air points out the significance of the invitation to President Trump to attend the ceremonies.

The article reports:

It will be a grand affair, attended by 50 heads of state, and Donald Trump is being treated as one of them even before he returns to power on January 20th, 2025.

That’s a big deal, because it is a symbolic acknowledgment that in the eyes of the world, including Europe, Donald Trump is already the president who matters. Joe Biden is PINO (President in Name Only).

It’s no secret that European leaders viewed Donald Trump as an interloper, an uninvited member who barged into their cozy little club in 2017. They disdained him, ridiculed him as oh-so-gauche, and breathed a sigh of relief when he left the world stage in 2021. 

And, it remains true that they would prefer a different president than the one they have coming, but not only are they reconciled to a Trump return, they may even be glad that it was he rather than Joe Biden or Kamala Harris who will be sitting in the Oval Office. After all, four years of Joe Biden have not exactly been great for Europe, with a hot war on their Eastern flank and turmoil on their Southern one. 

It is interesting that the current crop of European leaders do not appreciate the person of President Trump. When you look at the history of America vs. the history of Europe, you immediately notice that there is a streak of practical independence in America that does not always put pomp and circumstance first. President Trump is not going to bow down to European leaders. He will be polite, but will put the interests of America first (as President of America, he is supposed to do that). President Trump has already indicated that he is not interested in playing games–he wants to get America back on track as quickly as possible. Anyone who sincerely wants to help is welcome to climb aboard the train. Anyone who wants to stand in his way will probably get run over by the train. We need leaders like that.

Avoiding The FBI Until It Can Be Repaired

On Wednesday, Townhall posted an article explaining how President Trump is avoiding the traps the FBI set for him during his last administration.

The article reports:

President-elect Donald J. Trump isn’t buying into the FBI’s games, nor should he. The Justice Department has targeted the man and has gone multiple rounds with its lawyers, including a federal raid on his home—all of which was to derail his 2024 candidacy. But he won the election.

He’s in charge, and I hope he takes a baseball bat to the J. Edgar Hoover Building. And yes, no appointee should subject themselves to an FBI background check for security clearances until he’s sworn in and gets his people to run the show. The Biden DOJ cannot be trusted. In a massive middle finger to the bureau, Trump is going to give every appointee a security clearance until his appointees can be reined in and begin the process of cleaning house at the FBI, which has devolved into the Democrats’ political police force (via The Guardian): 

Donald Trump’s transition team is planning for all political appointees to receive sweeping security clearances on the first day and only face FBI background checks after the incoming administration takes over the bureau and its own officials are installed in key positions, according to people familiar with the matter.

The move appears to mean that Trump’s team will continue to skirt FBI vetting and may not receive classified briefings until Trump is sworn in on 20 January and unilaterally grant sweeping security clearances across the administration.

Trump’s team has regarded the FBI background check process with contempt for months, a product of their deep distrust of the bureau ever since officials turned over transition records to the Russia investigation during the first Trump presidency, the people said.

The article concludes:

Many of our enemies still work at the FBI and the Justice Department. Look at what’s transpired, not just during the first Trump presidency, but this 2024 cycle—the incoming administration is rightly suspicious of this agency that has ruined countless lives to get Trump.

I’ll support anything that makes the FBI miserable, frustrated, and appear small. They’ve earned it.

This is definitely a different Trump administration than the one that took office in 2016.

Generally Speaking, The Voters Support President Trump’s Transition Actions

On Monday, Townhall posted an article about recent polls taken to see how Americans are acting to President Trump’s transition moves.

The article reports:

We recently explored the question of whether Donald Trump has been given an electoral mandate by voters, with my bottom line being, ‘yes, but mandates are fickle and only last as long as voters remain on board.’  Seasoned and insightful political observer Brit Hume, however, has warned Trump’s team not to treat their victory as some sort of triumphal, full embrace: “This was a clear and convincing win for Mr. Trump, to be sure, and — particularly when you think of all the stuff that had been thrown at him as he tried to be elected again — it’s impressive,” he said before adding a few cautionary notes:

“Joe Biden won a narrow victory — convincing, perhaps, but narrow — in 2020, and once he got control of the Senate and had control of both houses, he started thinking that he was going to be the new FDR, and was going to pass all kinds of great social legislation, some of the results of which were an outbreak of inflation, from which his candidacy and his campaign never recovered,” Hume said. “So, you have to be careful about these things. Mandates, real mandates, are rare, and landslides are perhaps even rarer.” … “My thought about this is: The president would be wise to ignore the talk from his supporters about what an enormous mandate he has and what a great landslide he won, because thinking that can lead to trouble,” Hume added. Hume said Trump following through with his promise of mass deportation would be an appropriate reading of Trump’s mandate, given how clear the president-elect was on his goal. “Particularly on the deportation of illegal migrants,” Hume said, “he does, I think it’s fair to say, have an authority to do that, and the voters understood that that’s one of the things he said he was going to do, and he never back away from it.”

The article includes a number of screenshots illustrating where President Trump’s support is coming from and the amount of support President Trump has. Most Americans are on board with the idea of deporting people who do not legally belong here.

Learning From Past Mistakes

When President Trump took office in 2016, there were a lot of people in Washington who had a vested interest in the President not being able to accomplish all of his goals. Some agencies made sure that he did not have the people around him that he chose. One way that was done was to slow-walk the security clearances for the people President Trump wanted working in the White House.

On Monday, The Conservative Treehouse reported the following:

It should not come as a surprise to see the same methods deployed against President Trump in 2024 that were used by the FBI in 2016. The difference is now that President Trump understands the full power of his office in the security clearance process and that he doesn’t need the FBI.

In 2016 the FBI used their power to conduct security clearances as a tool to stall and block President Trump appointments. Historically this is one of the ways a very corrupt and political FBI interfere in any system that might be against the interests of the Intelligence Community that controls them. However, in 2024 President-Elect Trump and his transition team have already taken a different approach.

The article explains that the Trump transition team is using private companies to vet administrative appointees in order to avoid bureaucratic slowdowns.

The article concludes:

Because President Trump is making civics great again, it’s worth reminding everyone that President Trump has unilateral decision-making authority to grant anyone a security clearance. The President (atop the executive) can give anyone he chooses a top-secret security clearance status, simply by saying this person has top-secret security clearance. Yes, it really is that easy.

The President can choose his advisors and choose to share anything – even the most top-secret information in the country – with his advisors and cabinet members. That’s what we elect him/her to do; to use his/her judgement to make decisions.

This is one of the powers within the office that cannot be challenged by any other silo, branch or institution. The security clearance rules are what President Trump says the security clearance rules are.

There is no outside silo in the Executive Branch, who can supersede the decision of President Trump.

Experience is the best teacher. How do you get experience? By making mistakes. In this case, in 2016 President Trump believed that Washington could work together for the good of the country. Now he knows better. That is a sad statement about our government.

 

Planting A Land Mine As You Walk Out The Door

Despite the talk of a smooth transition of power, the Biden administration has already planted a few land mines in the path of the incoming Trump administration. The agreement with the dock workers will expire three days after President Trump is inaugurated–hardly enough time to negotiate a settlement–putting a possible strike front and center in the first few days of the new administration. The Biden administration has about two months to plant a few more land mines, and one of the ones they have recently planted is going to be a serious challenge.

On Monday, The Epoch Times reported:

Anonymous U.S. officials have said that President Joe Biden has authorized Ukraine to use long-range missiles provided by the United States to strike targets in the Russian region of Kursk, which is currently occupied by Ukraine in the ongoing war.

Ukrainian forces launched a significant cross-border operation into Russia’s region of Kursk earlier this year. Intense fighting is ongoing as Russian forces attempt to reclaim lost territory. Ukraine seized several settlements and is still holding strategic positions. In response, Russia has allowed 11,000 North Korean soldiers to amass in Kursk to aid its fight.

Last year, after North Korea supplied Russia with long-range ballistic missiles, the Biden administration responded by greenlighting Ukraine’s use of the long-range Army Tactical Missile System—with a range of about 190 miles—for targets within its territories, including in Russian-occupied Crimea.

There is a solution to this escalation of the war in Ukraine that is possible before the situation totally melts down (no pun intended). Through back-channels, President-elect Trump could make it clear to President Zelensky that any attacks into Russia would result in the total cutoff of aid to Ukraine as soon as President Trump takes office. In the past, President Trump has shown that he has the ability to use economic leverage to avoid using military force. In this case, it would have a good chance of working.

There are a few things to look at as consequences of a Trump presidency in Ukraine and in the Middle East. If ‘drill, baby, drill’ begins on day one, the price of oil will drop relatively quickly. OPEC will probably cut back their production in an effort to keep prices high, but in the long run that will not work. If America can flood the market with oil and natural gas, the income to Russia and Iran will drop drastically as oil prices drop. At lower oil prices, Russia cannot afford the war with Ukraine and Iran can not afford to fund terrorism to the extent it has been. Drill, baby, drill in America is part of a recipe for a more peaceful world.

This Might Have Some Impact If They Were Actually In The Majority

On Monday, Breitbart posted an article about the political left’s latest plan to make sure that the American economy fails under President Trump. The plan is about as smart as choosing a candidate for President that never received even one vote in a Democrat primary.

The article reports:

Leftists have a master plan to ensure that President-elect Donald Trump’s economy tanks: They are not going to buy anything.

Leftists across the country are still reeling from Trump’s historic comeback victory, which saw him sweeping all seven swing states, garnering 312 electoral votes and also winning the popular vote after making historic gains in traditionally blue areas.

There was a sizable shift in the electorate and a clear mandate for change, but some leftists ardently disagree and have a plan to tank what everyone anticipates to be a strong economy under Trump’s leadership.

“Trump will not have a good economy because we don’t have to let him. I myself plan on paying my bills and saving every penny beyond that. I will not contribute to this economy in any other way,” one leftist X account with the handle @PrezLives2022 said to 127.1K followers, previewing plans to strategically purchase clothing “before he takes office and make sure I have everything I need for the next four years.”

This individual is also pledging to refrain from eating out “unless it is an emergency that cannot be avoided.” Further, there will be no going to the movies, sporting events, “or any local attractions.”

Oddly enough, many Americans were not able to afford a lot of the things listed above because of the inflation during the Biden administration.

And I was naive enough to think only two-year olds threw temper tantrums.

Why Coming Together Might Be Difficult

On Wednesday, The Gateway Pundit posted an article about some recent comments by Actress Rachel Zegler. Because I am really poorly informed on popular culture, I had no idea who the lady was, but was told that she plays Snow White in a Disney production. That may explain a lot.

The article reports:

Actress Rachel Zegler wrote, “May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.”

In the post, she complained that her infant daughter may never get to have an abortion.

“I find myself speechless in the midst of this. Another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world I do not want to live in. Leaning us towards a world that will be hard to raise my daughter in. Leaning us towards a world that will force her to have a baby she doesn’t want. Leaning us towards a world that is fearful.”

The actress said she is “here with you,” to “cry, to yell, to hug.”

This is sad. It was an election. President Trump won. There will be another election in four years. We all have to live in the country together (or leave it we choose to). Why not teach your daughter not to have sex if she doesn’t want a baby? Why not teach your daughter to wait until marriage to have sex? I realize that is a very old-fashioned concept, but wasn’t our society better off when that was the rule?

The article notes:

Zegler continued, “There is also a deep, deep sickness in this country that is shown in the sheer amount of people who showed up for this man who threatens our democracy. It is terrifying the number of people who stand behind what this man preaches. It is a foolish subscription to a false sense of security, of masculinity, of intelligence, of patriotism, and of humanity.”

“There is no help, no counsel, in any of them,” the actress continued. “I could go on. I won’t. I feel sad. You probably do, too. F-ck this.”

Zegler also took aim at X owner Elon Musk, telling fans to leave the app.

How is President Trump a threat to our democracy? First of all, we are a representative republic–not a democracy. Secondly, did he use the justice system to punish political opponents? Did he refuse to uphold the law regarding borders? Did he ignore the Supreme Court regarding student debt?

This ‘lady’ needs to stick to acting.

Let The Hand-Wringing Begin

The uproar over President Trump’s Cabinet picks is somewhat humorous. Some of the people in the Biden administration were not particularly competent at their jobs and definitely did not represent mainstream America. Pete Buttigieg as Secretary of Transportation oversaw one of the worst rail disasters in American history–also one of the most poorly dealt with. Sam Brinton was caught stealing other people’s luggage. Rachel Leland Levine is an American pediatrician who served as the United States Assistant Secretary for Health. She was born a man and changed her gender. She also supported gender changes for children. President Biden’s Cabinet was the equivalent of the Star Wars bar scene.

On Wednesday, The Washington Examiner posted an article about the choice of Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense.

The article has a few interesting observations:

WHAT THE HEGSETH NOMINATION MEANS. On Tuesday evening, President-elect Donald Trump shook up Washington by announcing that he would nominate Fox News host Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense. “Pete is a graduate of Princeton University and has a graduate degree from Harvard University,” Trump said in the announcement. “He is an Army combat veteran who did tours in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, and Afghanistan. For his actions on the battlefield, he was decorated with two Bronze Stars.” During his years as co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, Hegseth has focused extensively on military and veterans affairs. This year, he wrote a bestselling book, War on Warriors, in which he decried the new woke military.*

…The fact is that despite his impressive qualifications — Princeton, Harvard, two Bronze Stars, and professional success — Hegseth does not have the resume one would expect from a secretary of defense, most notably the management experience to run one of the largest bureaucracies in the world, with an $841 billion budget this year. But Trump clearly wanted a change in direction. 

Trump can look at past secretaries who had the right resumes and didn’t work out. Bill Clinton picked a Democratic member of the House named Les Aspin, who had decades of experience overseeing the Pentagon and turned out to be a terrible secretary of defense. George W. Bush picked Donald Rumsfeld, who had vast experience in government and had even been defense secretary before, and Rumsfeld made grievous errors in the job. Barack Obama had problems with the Pentagon, and Trump himself struggled to find the right man to run the Department of Defense, going through five secretaries or acting secretaries in the first Trump administration.

The article concludes:

So now, Trump is proposing a radical change at the top of the civilian leadership of the military. It could be a breakthrough success, rebalancing the military as a fighting force above all else. Or it could be a failure, and everyone will be asking what Trump was thinking when he put Pete Hegseth in charge of an $841 billion bureaucracy. But if voters sent any message in the election, it is that they want a change from the Biden administration and that they approve, in a big-picture sense, of Trump’s leadership in his first time in office. So now, Trump is, as promised, bringing change.

“All the criticism of him is that he’s not the expected Washington pick, and I’m just saying to you that the American people just voted against the expected Washington pick,” CNN resident conservative Scott Jennings said Tuesday night. Yes, Hegseth will have to run the confirmation gauntlet in the Senate, Jennings continued, and will have to show that he has the knowledge to do that job. “But we ought to give this man a chance, in my opinion.” That’s what the election was about.

What we are doing isn’t working, let’s try something different.

This Is The Plan

On Thursday, Townhall posted an article detailing President Trump’s plan to drain the Washington, D.C. swamp.

Here is a brief summary:

In arguably one of the most critical first announcements Trump has made as president-elect, he vowed to immediately reissue the 2020 executive order to restore the president’s authority to remove “rogue bureaucrats aggressively.”

Second, Trump said he would fire all of the corrupt individuals in the country’s national security and intelligence organization so that bureaucrats would no longer be able to target and persecute conservatives and Christians.

…Third, the incoming 47th president said he would reform FISA courts, and fourth, to expose the abuses of power done so by the left.

Trump then announced he would form a Truth and Reconciliation committee to “declassify and publish all documents on Deep State spying, censorship, and corruption.”

Trump also said he would crack down on government workers who collude with the left-wing media to create false narratives.

…Sixth, he plans to make every Inspector General’s Office independent from the departments they oversee to ensure they do not become a part of the Deep State.

Seventh, Trump will create an independent auditing system that will monitor intelligence agencies to make sure they are not spying on Americans or secretly running disinformation campaigns against them.

The president-elect also vowed to relocate parts of the federal bureaucracy to states other than Washington, D.C., or the District of Columbia.

…Ninth, he will ban federal bureaucrats from working at companies they regulate, such as big Pharma and big tech.

And tenth, Trump promised to establish a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on Congress members.

This sounds like fun. However, I don’t agree with Congressional term limits unless you also term-limit Congressional staffs and high-level federal employees.

Who Really Lost In The 2024 Election?

On Wednesday, The Federalist posted an article about the losers in the 2024 election. Obviously, Vice-President Kamala Harris lost, but there was another bigger loser.

The article reports:

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, legacy news networks were already sliding toward 2016 levels of melting down about the increasingly definite prospect of a presidential victory by Donald J. Trump. For them, Harris’ stinging defeat is personal — because it’s just as much a defeat for them as it is for her.

The corporate media industrial complex has spent Donald Trump’s entire political career trying to destroy him. Hand-in-hand with triple-letter government agencies and Democrats, they ran a hoax painting Trump as a Russian stooge based on ridiculous rumors commissioned by his opponent’s campaign in 2016. They continued to spread the lie for the duration of his presidency, awarding each other Pulitzers for it. And they’ve only ramped up their efforts since then.

The problem they’re reckoning with tonight is this: those efforts didn’t work. They’re no longer able to control Americans by controlling their information intake, because their credibility is farther deep-sixed than the Clinton family’s enemies list.

It is a sad day when media members who lie are awarded Pulitzer Prizes and not forced to return them when it is revealed that they lied.

The article notes:

Since the last presidential election, the media have screeched incessantly about Trump “inciting an insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. They made documentaries comparing Trump to the Ku Klux Klan. They portrayed Trump as the ringleader of a terrorist attack and not as a president who gave a speech and urged his supporters to protest peacefully.

Tuesday night’s results are a resounding indication that Americans didn’t buy it.

With help from a debunked story planted in The Atlantic, the media made Trump out to be a “fascist” and routinely compared him to Hitler. When Trump held a gangbusters rally at Madison Square Garden, they screeched that he and his supporters were obviously Nazis because they gathered at the same venue that Nazi sympathizers once rented — along with Frank Sinatra, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel, Beyoncé, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter.

The article concludes:

If the past eight years — and the first few hours of cope-streaming from TV Wednesday morning — are any indication, the legacy press isn’t planning on repentance. They don’t feel obligated to represent Americans; they feel entitled to control them. The loss of that control is making them apoplectic.

Kamala Harris is only the second-biggest loser of the night. Her media shills are nursing wounds that will take far longer to recover from. After all, they were always the ones fighting the hardest to bring Trump down — and after eight years of it, they’re skulking away weaker and more humiliated than ever.

Why should anyone trust anything the mainstream media says after the way they have behaved for the past nine years?

The Way Forward…How Do We Unite?

The way forward has to include a change of direction. Many Americans have been negatively impacted by high inflation, high interest rates, and slow job growth. Hopefully, electing a businessman as President will help change the current situation.

One thing that will unite us is an honest media telling the truth. For example, ‘tax cuts for the rich’ is not only a lie–it is class warfare–a Marxist strategy. The Trump tax cuts benefited the lower and middle economic classes–not the rich. You can find the statistics here.

The biased press coverage by the mainstream media of the 2024 presidential campaign was a disgrace.

According to the Media Research Center:

…on ABC, CBS and NBC was 78% positive vs. 22% negative. For Trump, those numbers were flipped: just 15% positive press, vs. 85% negative coverage. Subtracting Trump’s positive press from Harris’s, the advantage to the Democratic nominee was 63 points, the greatest in the modern media age.

That bias was largely responsible for further dividing our country. Using the Department of Justice to intimidate and prosecute anyone with views opposite of the party in power also divides us. Law enforcement has no business raiding someone’s house because they were protesting abortion or investigating someone because they spoke at a school board meeting. Admittedly there are some political figures who should be prosecuted for their crimes, but not for their political views.

The people who hate President Trump because it is the approved thing to do in their social circles should consider not lying to their friends about what a Trump presidency means. President Trump has been President before. Did he put his political opponents in jail or use the judicial system the harass them? Were any Democrats disbarred or their assets seized during the Trump presidency (like John Eastman and Rudy Giuliani)? Were gay people mistreated or prosecuted? Yes, President Trump’s appointed Supreme Court Justices overturned Roe v. Wade, but even Ruth Bader Ginsburg stated that Roe v. Wade was bad law.

The past predicts the future. During the first term of President Trump we had peace and prosperity. Can we unite in the hope of achieving that again?

Coincidence?

On October 21, three Senators, Elizabeth Warren, Ron Wyden, and Robert P. Casey, Jr., all Democrats, wrote a letter to Chris Kempczinski, President and Chief Executive Officer at McDonald’s. We are to assume that is was pure coincidence that the letter came the day after the campaign appearance of President Trump working the Fries Station. This is how government intimidation works. The letter questioned McDonald’s price hikes in recent years, questioning whether they were engaged in price-gouging. (Somehow it didn’t mention how inflation might have impacted these prices.) Bur there is a more interesting aspect of the letter.

The source of this information is an article posted at The Conservative Treehouse on October 24th.

Some excerpts from the letter:

2. Earlier this summer, in an effort to combat lagging sales, McDonald’s announced a $5 Meal Deal.15 Although initially introduced as a limited-time offer, Mr. Erlinger recently said the company is extending the deal because its availability has helped shift “sentiment towards the brand around value and affordability.”16 Apart from the $5 Meal Deal, has McDonald’s lowered prices on individual menu items? If no, please explain why not.

…5. Did McDonald’s executives receive bonuses or other incentive-based compensation between 2020 and 2024? If yes, please provide the total dollar amount of these bonuses or other incentives for each year, and the specific reason these bonuses or incentive payments were awarded. Were any of these bonuses or incentives based upon executives’ ability to increase per-customer revenue or per-customer profits? Does McDonald’s award any bonuses based upon reducing prices or increasing value for customers?

That is between McDonald’s and its stockholders. That is none of the government’s business.

The article at The Conservative Treehouse concludes:

The leftists are now railing against private sector price increases they created with government policy. Of course, in order to advance their ideological agenda, they must pretend not to know things.

Additionally, remember Elizabeth Warren is the person who constructed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), a quasi-legislatively authorized targeting silo established to threaten, blackmail and ultimately coerce payments from the private sector. Warren is essentially the secretary of the CFPB fund, constructed inside government that reaches outside government, to assemble funds that are then repurposed back to leftist community activist groups.

President Trump’s move to showcase the McDonald element of his political attachment to the ‘common working person’, the ordinary American, shattered the well-organized construct and fabrications of him by the leftist deep state. Trump caught them completely unprepared to counter this “blue collar billionaire” move.

They are lashing out desperately against President Trump as he continues to crush their fabricated Kamala Harris construct.

The CDC also released a report of e-coli in McDonald’s quarter-pounders. I wonder if the report is true, and if it is, how long they sat on it.

Why The Secrecy?

On Wednesday, Guy Benson posted an article at Townhall wondering why CBS News is so reluctant to release the full audio of its interview with Vice-President Kamala Harris.

The article reports:

As we recently outlined, it has been a damaging, credibility-harming few weeks for CBS News.  The network violated its own debate rules with a disputed-to-misleading ‘fact check’ of JD Vance at the Vice Presidential debate, then cut off his microphone as he calmly picked apart their assertion.  Their morning show was thrown into chaos when some employees melted down over an anchor asking pointed, tough questions of an anti-Israel zealot, resulting in angry recriminations, tears, and a series of embarrassing leaks.  Then there was the curious 60 Minutes edit of Kamala Harris’ answer regarding US-Israeli relations, which looked completely different in a teaser clip, compared to what aired on the broadcast itself.  As a refresher, here’s the side-by-side juxtaposition:

Neither answer really said anything!

The article includes a quote from The Federalist reminds us why President Trump was not interested in sitting down for an interview with CBS News:

During the interview [with Trump] — which aired on Oct. 25, the week before the 2020 election, and garnered nearly 17 million views — longtime anchor [Leslie Stahl] flat-out denied that the Biden family was under any sort of scandal at all. The interview was so combative that the Trump campaign released the full raw footage before network publication. “He’s in the midst of a scandal,” Trump said in reference to emails from the laptop revealing Joe Biden was lying about involvement with Hunter’s overseas business ventures. “He’s not,” Stahl said, interrupting the president to outright dismiss the criticism. “He’s not, no.” Stahl went on to deny that then-Vice President Joe Biden spied on the Trump campaign in 2016, and claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop couldn’t be verified.

We all know that was lies. The other part of that story is that numerous sources have claimed that there was child pornography on Hunter’s laptop. Why has he not been charged for that? The mainstream media is not the friend of the American people.

A Tale Of Two Administrations

On Thursday, Victor Davis Hanson posted an article at America Greatness about the current presidential campaign. The records and beliefs of the two candidates are very different, but some of the talking points don’t reflect that.

The article reports:

Now Harris asserts that Trump is a “fascist,” a “dictator,” and “unfit” for office. But this new talking point will also not stop the Harris campaign’s hemorrhaging—and for a variety of reasons.

First, voters see the election as a conflict of two absolutely antithetical visions.

On the one hand, is the prior Trump 2017-20 concrete record: border security, no major wars abroad, calm in the Middle East, a deterred Russia, Iran, and China, low inflation, low interest rates, lower crime, lower taxes, strong deterrent military—and opposition to mandatory electric vehicle mandates, biological males competing in women’s sports, and the woke/DEI agenda.

On the other hand, is the Biden-Harris 2021-2024 record: the unchecked entry of 12-20 million illegal aliens and a destroyed border. People still struggle under Biden-Harris’s earlier hyperinflation and high interest rates. The horrific regional wars in Ukraine and the Middle East continue. Biden-Harris embraces the unpopular DEI/Woke agenda.

Harris herself knows that the Biden-Harris years were a failure. That is why she has shed almost all of their hard left-wing agendas—policies she has embraced for much of her adult life.

So suddenly, in the last 90 or so days, Harris has completely flipped and flopped.

Now she is for more of, not defunding, the police. She pivots for a secure border, not 20 million illegal aliens pouring across it. Harris brags about fossil fuel energy, not banning fracking, and for increasing, not cutting, defense.

The article reminds us:

Trump and the Republicans never coercively removed the party’s primary-winning nominee. They did not nullify the will of 14 million primary voters. And in backroom fashion, they did not anoint a candidate who had never entered a single primary in her life.

Nor did Trump support packing the Supreme Court. He does not seek unconstitutional means of destroying the Electoral College. He is not demanding an end to the Senate filibuster or the creation of two new states to obtain four partisan senate seats.

Third, as for Trump being “unfit” and lacking “decorum,” it depends on what were the Biden-Harris standards?

Having a trans activist reveal his breasts on camera at a White House “pride party?”

Biden’s reportedly calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “a f—ing idiot” and “son of a b—ch?” Bragging about locking Trump up, while waging lawfare against him?

The article concludes:

The election will not be decided on these empty talking points or fake media-generated narratives.

Instead, only two criteria matter: Which candidate’s past record and current agenda best appeal to voters? And which candidate seems the most authentic and genuine?

If the voters are informed and the election is honest, President Trump wins.

The Latest October Surprise

Today, Hot Air posted an article about the latest charge against President Trump–that he is an admirer of Adolf Hitler. As long as we are talking about Hitler, should we mention that Hitler was an admirer of Margaret Sanger, who is worshiped by Hillary Clinton and Planned Parenthood? Should we mention that abortion clinics are purposefully placed in minority neighborhoods in keeping with Margaret Sanger’s belief in eugenics and racial purity? However, I digress.

The headline of the article is:

General Kelly, If You ‘Knew’ Trump Admired Hitler Why Didn’t You Resign?

The article notes:

It’s the elites toward which he aims his fire. And it is the elites who aim their fire at him, often using hoaxes. The Steele Dossier, the RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA hoax, the “fine people” hoax, the inject bleach hoax, the 51 intelligence agents hoax… It has been hoaxes all the way down. All day, every day the transnational elites perpetrate hoaxes aimed at discrediting Donald Trump. It is what they do.

The article includes the following Tweets:

What the Democrats seem to forget is that President Trump was President for four years. He had a very successful presidency. He reduced taxes ON THE MIDDLE CLASS (statistics here), reduced regulation, and lowered the cost of insulin (which the Biden administration raised back up then claimed credit for lowering).

The article concludes:

After all, your evidence for this slander is thin and self-contradictory: one man says this when EVERYBODY around Trump denies it wholeheartedly. 

Either that man is lying, or he is a moral monster who knowingly worked for a Nazi. 

So your star witness is a man who admits he would work for a Nazi. Good luck with that. 

If you believe his story, you are a sucker and a loser.

Expect to hear more of this garbage in the coming days before the election. This is what desperation looks like.

California Here We Come (or Not)

One way to determine where a presidential candidate will take the country is to examine their past record. Uniquely, we have clear evidence of what we can expect from former President Trump and Kamala Harris. The evidence about President Trump could not be clearer: low inflation, cheaper energy, high employment, lower mortgage rates, secure borders, and few international conflicts. One way of determining where Kamala Harris will take us is to examine what has been happening in California, which clearly reflects her socialist principles and values, where she was the Attorney General.

Let’s take a look. As a comparison to California, I will use North Carolina, which has benefitted from conservative leadership consistent with what we can expect from President Trump.

There is an old and valid saying that people vote with their feet, meaning that when able, they will choose to live where conditions are most favorable to their standard of living. California has been steadily losing population in spite of a steady influx of illegal immigrants. Over 500,000 residents of California have left the state over the past couple of years. The percentage of immigrants is California (a sanctuary state) is 27%, as compared to 9.2% in North Carolina. It is well known that a country can only absorb a small number of immigrants and still maintain their essential cultural integrity. Another issue is the destruction of their cities, like San Francisco and Los Angeles, due to the out-of-control homeless population. California, due to its lack of enforcement of vagrancy laws, has the highest number of homeless persons, at 172,000, in the entire country. North Carolina reportedly has just over 9,000 homeless. The homeless in California are notorious for illegal drug use and dealing as well as property crimes and other crimes.

Besides these population factors, there are many economic factors causing people to exit California. For example, the median price of a home in California is an astounding $807,000, compared to $336,000 in North Carolina. Similarly, the state income tax in California is 13.3%,  compared to 4.75% in North Carolina. Sales tax in California is 7.25%, and 4.74% in North Carolina. In spite of these much higher taxes, California has managed to accumulate a debt of $73 billion, whereas North Carolina has a budget surplus and a rainy-day fund. The cost of energy shows a great disparity with gas in California at $ 4.64 as compared to North Carolina at $2.96. Cost of electricity is 29.5cents per kWH as compared to North Carolina at 13.0 cents. There are also many regulations in California that have caused a closing of many businesses and retail stores.

The reality is that the conditions in California are the result of socialist policies and actions that have effectively destroyed one of the most successful and prosperous states. The facts are clear. If you want to keep this country from becoming another California, you know what to do. It is essential that you get out and vote to keep this from happening to the entire country.

The Lie That Keeps Being Told

To debunk one of the claims repeatedly made by the Harris campaign, I am going back to an article from December of 2021. The facts have been available since then, but the campaign has chosen to ignore them–just as the campaign has continually lied about Project 2025 and President Trump’s stand on abortion.

In December 2021, Yahoo News shared an article from The Hill.

The article reports:

Congressional Democrats have argued that one of the best ways to pay for the legislation is to raise taxes on wealthy households, which, according to many on the left, have benefited disproportionately and unfairly from the 2017 tax reform law passed by Republicans and signed by former President Trump. The latest data, however, proves that this claim is pure mythology.

Income data published by the IRS clearly show that on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans’ tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.

A careful analysis of the IRS tax data, one that includes the effects of tax credits and other reforms to the tax code, shows that filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 enjoyed an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect and the most recent year for which data is available.

Filers who earned $50,000 to $100,000 received a tax break of about 15 percent to 17 percent, and those earning $100,000 to $500,000 in adjusted gross income saw their personal income taxes cut by around 11 percent to 13 percent.

By comparison, no income group with an AGI of at least $500,000 received an average tax cut exceeding 9 percent, and the average tax cut for brackets starting at $1 million was less than 6 percent. (For more detailed data, see my table published here.)

That means most middle-income and working-class earners enjoyed a tax cut that was at least double the size of tax cuts received by households earning $1 million or more.

What’s more, IRS data shows earners in higher income brackets contributed a bigger slice of the total income tax revenue pie following the passage of the tax reform law than they had in the previous year.

The article concludes:

Every income bracket with a top level lower than $25,000 experienced a reduction in its number of filers, and every income bracket above $25,000 increased in size, with the biggest gains occurring in the brackets with a floor of at least $100,000.

The fact is, Republicans’ 2017 tax reform law did exactly what was promised: It lowered taxes for all income groups, provided the greatest benefits for middle-income households, and spurred economic growth that helped reduce poverty and improve prosperity.

It would be a grave mistake for Democrats to eliminate key parts of this important legislation.

Numbers don’t lie. Unfortunately, Democrat Presidential candidates do.

Learning From Past Mistakes

The ‘so-called’ peaceful transition of power in 2016 was anything but that. A trap was set to remove General Flynn, there was illegal surveillance on the transition team and new administration, and multiple road blocks were put in the way of President-elect Trump during the transition period. Well, evidently President Trump has learned from that experience.

On Saturday, The Conservative Treehouse reported the following:

This is an inside baseball story that will be overlooked by most, but it carries profound implications.

The winner of the presidential election usually merges the president-elect’s transition team with the federal transition system. Current government bureaucrats then begin a process of briefings, agency/institutional transfer coordination and funding to assist the incoming president’s team. However, as we saw in the aftermath of the 2016 election, the government side of the transition worked behind the scenes to impede Trump’s ascendency into office, and factually supported the corrupt government IC officials who were targeting Trump.

For election 2024, President Trump’s transition team is now saying they are likely to go it alone and skip any federal transition assistance in advance of inauguration day. That decision is making the deepest parts of the Deep State apparatus very nervous. That decision has major ramifications and could, likely would, include the incoming Trump administration setting up offices outside Washington DC.

The article concludes:

This is a background issue of big importance that we should watch closely.  I predict the U.S Intelligence Community, FBI and DOJ will be conducting wholesale surveillance of the Trump transition team. They are likely doing that already.

The General Services Administration (GSA) was the originating institution used by the IC in coordination with the FBI/DOJ to set up the framing of the Mar-a-Lago documents case.  Every part of the GSA cannot be trusted.

President Trump’s transition team needs to keep distance from the Obama/Biden/Harris network that operates and controls the functionaries who manipulate the DC bureaucracy as instructed by the Intelligence Community.

We will keep watching.

We All Need Reminding

On Saturday, Headline USA posted an article reminding us of the six main lies constantly told about President Trump. All of these lies have been debunked, but they continue to be told in campaign ads for Kamala Harris.

The article lists the lies:

1. Very fine people: Democrats accuse Trump of calling neo-Nazis “very fine people” after the August 2017 Charlottesville, Virginia, race riots. Snopes’ non-MAGA fact checkers declared this “False.”

Trump said “very fine people” both supported and opposed a local statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Democrats cover-up what Trump added: “I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.”

2. Suck​ers and losers​: Trump haters keep claiming that he refused to visit a World War I cemetery in France because it brims with “suckers” and “losers.”

Jeffrey Goldberg cited four anonymous sources in his reckless, if not libelous, article in Sept. 3, 2020’s The Atlantic. I dismantled Goldberg’s vile charges via multiple published rebuttals. I eventually quoted 16 named advisors who accompanied Trump to Paris. They concurred that Trump never said “suckers” or “losers.”

3. ​ Find me 11,780 ​votes​: Democrat fantasies notwithstanding, Trump did not order Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find me 11,780 votes,” to beat Biden. The January 2021 phone call provided much of the basis for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to indict Trump and 18 others with a racketeering conspiracy.

However, as the Trump-hating Washington Post’s transcript shows, Trump said: “I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have, because we won the state.”​ Personally, I just want to find $100,00 cash. That is light years away from me instructing anyone to rob a Wells Fargo branch and “find me $100,000 cash.”

4. Jan. 6​: Trump haters claim that he ordered supporters to attack Congress’s certification of 2020’s election. Wrong! During a First Amendment-protected outdoor speech, Trump urged his fans to protest “peacefully and patriotically.”​

If Trump craved a bloodbath, why did he authorize 10,000 National Guard​ troops to keep ​the party polite? If Democrat D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., had not spurned Trump’s offer, ​domestic tranquility would have prevailed.

5. Dictator on Day 1: Kamala Harris told a Univision audience on Thursday: “Donald Trump has said he will be a dictator on Day 1.​”

Fox News’s Sean Hannity ​asked Trump last Dec. 5​: “You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?” Trump jokingly ​replied, “​No, no, no, other than Day 1. We’re closing the border, and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.​”

6. Bloodbath: In her debate with Trump, Kamala Harris parroted a phony Democrat talking point. “Donald Trump the candidate has said in this election there will be a bloodbath, if the outcome of this election is not to his liking.”

Nope! On March 16, Trump predicted that a Democrat victory would trigger “a bloodbath”…in the auto industry, not the streets.

All of this illustrates how a simple statement can be totally made-up or totally taken out of context to create an impression. As we navigate the last few weeks of the election season, buyer beware of October surprises and fake news stories.

The Government Relief Efforts For Hurricane Helene Are Not Being Handled Well

On Saturday, Townhall posted an article about the government relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Helene. Unfortunately, the government is being more of a hindrance than a help.

The article reports:

Into this hellscape of destroyed cities, overturned cars, and shattered lives have parachuted the Presidential “nominee” of the Democratic Party—the one nobody actually voted for—Kamala Harris. Conservative estimates of the cleanup in Helene’s wake exceed $ 300 billion…but the tone-deaf Harris put on her cheeriest face and announced that victims would be getting reparations from Washington. In an October 2nd speech in Augusta, GA (https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2024/10/02/remarks-by-vice-president-harris-on-response-and-recovery-efforts-following-hurricane-helene-augusta-ga/) Mrs. Time To Turn The Page stunned onlookers with these words:

“…And the federal relief and assistance that we have been providing has included FEMA providing $750 for folks who need immediate needs being met, such as food, baby formula, and the like. And you can apply now.”

Wow! Your home has been leveled, your car is crushed under tons of rubble, your streets are closed, and your cell phone is useless. But it isn’t all bad news: you can “apply” for a $750 gift card from Kamala Harris.

And where’s the Federal Emergency Management Agency? FEMA—according to its inept and impeached head Alejandro Mayorkas, speaking on Air Force One–“…does not have the funds to make it through the hurricane season.”

The article notes:

What rubbish. FEMA—crying crocodile tears about not having enough funds—isn’t mounting any substantial operations in many stricken areas. In fact, FEMA left hundreds of thousands of Helene victims without even cellphone communications until Donald J. Trump stepped in and tapped Elon Musk to provide StarLink™ trucks which are now operating in areas where cell towers collapsed during the hurricane.

This is not to diminish in any way the heroic work of the National Guard, state and local authorities and private citizens who have worked tirelessly in the wake of Helene’s fury to rescue people in their communities. Additionally, we all are blessed that groups like Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse, The Salvation Army and Team Rubicon immediately rolled up their sleeves and mobilized to literally save lives throughout the hurricane’s path. God bless every one of them.

The private sector always does it better! On August 12th, 1986, US President Ronald Reagan said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’” He was right.

 

Bringing Aid Without Government Red Tape

On Tuesday, Hot Air posted an article about communication is being restored in the areas of the country that were devastated by Hurricane Helene. It’s ironic that the very organization that the government prevented from creating an internet infrastructure is the organization that has come to the rescue.

The article reports:

Residents hit by Hurricane Helene are getting internet through Starlink because no other service is working, and in many cases won’t be for weeks or months.

In fact, there are regions with no access to communications at all, but for Starlink, which is why Elon Musk and Donald Trump are rushing in Starlink terminals.

What most people don’t know is that, originally, Starlink was approved as part of Kamala Harris’ plan to connect hundreds of thousands of rural homes to the internet at broadband speeds.

You know, that program that has yet to connect a single home…

I say originally because the FCC–for obviously political reasons–decided to cut Starlink out of the program due to bogus claims that it hadn’t proven that it could provide the service reliably, and there is no way on Earth that the government would spend money on something that wasn’t 100% bulletproof.

As Joe Biden would say, no joke.

Now individuals, local government units, and soon Elon Musk himself will rush into the stricken areas RELIABLE Starlink terminals to provide communications services to people, first responders, and the National Guard. Without Starlink, tens or hundreds of thousands of people would be completely cut off.

This is another example of a person who knows how to get things done vs. a politician who has no idea how the world outside his bubble works. President Trump and Elon Musk are businessmen. Their profits depend on problem solving. Generally speaking, the only way politicians solve problems is to throw more money at them.

Conservative Replies to Debate Questions

I watched the Vice President candidate’s debate the other night and thought that J.D. Vance did a good job. The following are my answers to some of the critical issues that were raised in the debate.

Climate Change. The climate constantly changes. Always has; always will. The idea that the recent destructive hurricane, Helene, was caused by man-made climate change is pure ignorance and typical of the environmental extremists. Severe hurricanes have occurred as far back as records have been kept–long before man’s burning of fossil fuels could have caused them. The Left continues to spout the idea that man-made climate change is “settled science” when it is not. This allows them to justify ruining our energy production.

Green Energy. The Democrat agenda is to spend more of our taxpayer money on solar and wind projects purchased from China, and importantly, to mandate electric vehicles. Meanwhile, China is building a new coal fired plant about every month and using coal that we ship to them. As Europe has found out, no modern civilization can exist on wind and solar. We need more access to fossil fuels and to start building nuclear plants which the environmental extremists are blocking.

Open Borders. The Democrats want open borders in order to get more voters who will support their socialist agenda. They give illegals free housing, food, cell phones and healthcare and will, if allowed, grant them citizenship so they can vote. They realize that they are losing support from working class Americans, blacks, and Hispanics because of their harmful policies and need to replace these voters. Biden/Harris have had the ability to close the borders just as Donald Trump was able to do. THEY WANT OPEN BORDERS!

Housing Costs. The cost of new homes is up over 30% since Biden/Harris took office. Their reckless government spending caused the highest inflation in 40 years. Soaring fuel prices have increase the production cost and shipping cost of all building materials. Inflation caused a surge in mortgage rates from 3% under Trump to over 7% under Biden/Harris. Their solution–to start another big government program of taking money from working Americans and give it to first time home buyers.

Abortion. There is nothing in the Constitution that addresses abortion as a right. In fact, the Constitution specifically states that if an issue is not specified as the responsibility of the federal government then it must be left to the states. That is exactly what the Supreme Court’s ruling against Roe vs Wade rightfully concluded. The Democrats do not want to follow the Constitution–they want a federal law on abortion. Kamala Harris has promised to remove the filibuster rule and pack the court in order to accomplish this objective. They also want to avoid the reality that terminating a child that can live on its own with proper medical care, is not murder.

As in any debate, there are important issues that were not addressed. For example, the increasing crime rates and the destruction of our cities by failing to enforce the law. Anyone want to visit San Francisco? I do not. Recent reports show that due to the Biden/Harris open border policy, 425,000 criminals, 13,000 convicted murderers, and 16,000 sexual assault offenders were released into this country. Hurricane Helene hit western North Carolina very hard. It will be a long time before the Blue Ridge Parkway and the roads along the Tennessee border are up and running.  It will be a long time before the area recovers economically. There will be a significant death toll by the time the rescue efforts are done. This is a serious blow to our country. So what is the response from the White House?

Joe Biden also snapped at reporters, saying, “I was commanding!” when he was asked why he was away from the White House and DC all weekend amid the catastrophic flooding.

And then later, during a live video feed from the White House, Joe Biden told the American public they need to help the recovery in North Carolina and, “It’s gonna take a hell of a lot of money.”

Meanwhile President Trump and Elon Musk are doing all they can to help restore communications in the area and to bring in relief supplies.
