The Next In Line?

The future of Iran is uncertain. Although the people were protesting in the streets recently, we don’t know if there is enough unity in the country to form a cohesive government. There are a lot of Iranian ex-patriots around the world celebrating the fall of the regime, but the regime has already named its successor. One of the ex-patriot voices is that of Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince of Iran. His father was a dictator who did horrible things to those that opposed him, despite moving the country closer to western ideas. The Prince is making noises as if he wants freedom, but he is in ‘campaign mode’ at this time.

On Saturday, Breitbart reported:

The son of the last Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, called on the country’s military, police, and security forces to abandon the “crumbling” Islamist regime of the Ayatollah amid U.S. and Israeli strikes on Saturday.

“Decisive moments lie before us,” the exiled crown prince of Iran said amid a major military operation launched in the early hours of Saturday by U.S. President Donald Trump in conjunction with Israeli forces targeting the rogue nation’s missile programme and leadership apparatus.

In a statement on social media, Reza Pahlavi said that the military operation initiated by President Trump should be seen as a “humanitarian intervention” targeting the Islamist regime —  “and its machinery of killing” —  rather than a strike on the country and people of Iran.

“However, despite the arrival of this assistance, the final victory will still be achieved by us. It is we, the people of Iran, who will finish this task in this final battle. The time to return to the streets is approaching,” he said.

Pahlavi, who has lived in the United States since 1978, shortly after which his father, the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, was deposed in an Islamist revolution led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, called on the Iranian military, law enforcement, and security services to abandon the “collapsing” regime.

“You have sworn an oath to protect Iran and the Iranian nation, not the Islamic Republic and its leaders. Your duty is to defend the people, not to defend a regime that has taken our homeland hostage through repression and crime. Join the nation and help ensure a stable and secure transition. Otherwise, you will sink with Khamenei’s ship and his crumbling regime.”

The hope is that because he has lived in America for so long, Reza Pahlavi understands the value of freedom and can bring freedom to his home country.

The Taliban’s New Laws

Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban in Afghanistan has approved a new criminal code for the country.

On Thursday, Breitbart reported:

According to the Times of India, the latest affront to human rights from the Taliban is the publication of a 90-page criminal code, issued as an edict recently, likely in late January. No evidence suggests any public participation in the drafting of the code or legislative debate by certified lawmakers prior to its imposition.

Citing the British outlet The Independent, the Indian newspaper noted that the code includes the creation of “free” and “slave” categories of Afghanis and different legal punishments for criminals in each category. While it does not explicitly list all women in the country as “slaves,” certain provisions in the criminal code for women appear to treat them as separate from free citizens.

The code reportedly states explicitly that men can beat women and children in their homes, but only if they do not break their bones or cause extreme bodily harm. The code also effectively strips women of the right to accuse men of extreme physical abuse, as it both requires and bans women from showing the parts of their bodies harmed.

“They [women] are required to prove they have suffered serious bodily harm by showing their wounds to the judge, while at the same time being required to remain fully covered,” the Independent explained. “They are also required to be accompanied to the court by their husband or male chaperone (mahram) — even though the majority of offenders in such cases are the husbands themselves.”

The maximum sentence for a man found guilty of extreme physical abuse is 15 days in prison in the new code. For comparison, a woman accused of breaking the law by visiting her family without permission from her husband can be imprisoned for up to three months; no exceptions are made for women fleeing domestic violence.

This Bill Could Save Lives

On Sunday, Breitbart posted an article about a bill that the West Virginia Senate passed on Friday.

The article reports:

State senators in West Virginia passed a bill on Friday that would outlaw sending abortion pills into the state.

Lawmakers approved Senate Bill 173 with a vote of 31 to 1 and two members absent, West Virginia Watch reported. 

West Virginia has a near-total abortion restriction and also bans abortion via telemedicine. Senate Bill 173 is designed to close a loophole in state law enabling out-of-state organizations and abortionists to mail abortion pills to people in the state.

The bill’s lead sponsor, state Sen. Chris Rose (R), said the bill would show “bad actors” that West Virginia will not tolerate those who shirk the state’s laws protecting unborn babies, according to the report.

“We will fight from the womb to the tomb to preserve every human being,” Rose said. “And we will defend the constitutional rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness even for the unborn.” 

Under the bill, non-medical professionals could face three to ten years behind bars for the felony charge of sending abortion drugs by mail to a person in West Virginia. A medical professional who does so would face losing their license, according to the report.

The bill contains an exception for physicians who prescribe the drugs for other legitimate medical reasons besides abortion, per the report.

Lawmakers approved at least two amendments to the bill, including one from state Sen. Eric Tarr (R) that would require the state attorney general’s office to report how many lawsuits are filed on behalf of women who use the abortion drugs.

The bill now goes to the House of Delegates.

The danger of obtaining mifepristone, the abortion drug, through the mail is that the drug can have complications if used for abortion. If there is not a doctor on site supervising, using the drug could be fatal.

According to PubMed:

Methods: Adverse Event Reports (AERs) for mifepristone used as an abortifacient, submitted to the FDA from September 2000 to February 2019, were analyzed using the National Cancer Institute’s Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAEv3).

Results: The FDA provided 6158 pages of AERs. Duplicates, non-US, or AERs previously published (Gary, 2006) were excluded. Of the remaining, there were 3197 unique, US-only AERs of which there were 537 (16.80%) with insufficient information to determine clinical severity, leaving 2660 (83.20%) Codable US AERs. (Figure 1). Of these, 20 were Deaths, 529 were Life-threatening, 1957 were Severe, 151 were Moderate, and 3 were Mild.

The deaths included: 9 (45.00%) sepsis, 4 (20.00%) drug toxicity/overdose, 1 (5.00%) ruptured ectopic pregnancy, 1 (5.00%) hemorrhage, 3 (15.00%) possible homicides, 1 (5.00%) suicide, 1 (5.00%) unknown. (Table 1).

Retained products of conception and hemorrhage caused most morbidity. There were 75 ectopic pregnancies, including 26 ruptured ectopics (includes one death).

There were 2243 surgeries including 2146 (95.68%) D&Cs of which only 853 (39.75%) were performed by abortion providers.

Of 452 patients with ongoing pregnancies, 102 (22.57%) chose to keep their baby, 148 (32.74%) had terminations, 1 (0.22%) miscarried, and 201 (44.47%) had unknown outcomes.

Hemorrhage occurred more often in those who took mifepristone and misoprostol (51.44%) than in those who took mifepristone alone (22.41%).

Conclusions: Significant morbidity and mortality have occurred following the use of mifepristone as an abortifacient. A pre-abortion ultrasound should be required to rule out ectopic pregnancy and confirm gestational age. The FDA AER system is inadequate and significantly underestimates the adverse events from mifepristone.

Ending a baby’s life is not an acceptable practice, and with mifepristone, it could end your life as well.

Politics Over American Citizens

The February 2023 rail disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, left a chemical mess. There were things that should have been in place that could have prevented that disaster. There was (and still is) an effort to put regulations in place that would prevent such a disaster from happening again. Those measures were put forth by J.D. Vance when he was in the Senate and being discussed again. Mike Pence (supported by wealthy donors), who plans on opposing J.D. Vance for the Presidential nomination in 2028, is speaking out against the regulations.

On Friday, Breitbart reported:

Mike Pence is siding with wealthy donors over victims of the East Palestine, Ohio, rail disaster, earning a cacophony of outrage from conservatives and prominent MAGA voices.

Pence, who like Democrats reflexively opposes Trump on issue after issue as he woos establishment corporate donors to enrich himself through his non-profit and stake a claim in the narrowing establishment lane for the 2028 Republican nomination, is fighting a bill first championed by then-Ohio Sen. JD Vance — and Pence’s likely 2028 primary opponent — to implement safety regulations for trains carrying hazardous materials.

The article quotes the Daily Wire:

One of the groups opposing the bill is Mike Pence’s Advancing American Freedom — a fact seen as a net positive by those in Trump world who want the bill to finally advance. If the former vice president opposes something, it only makes it more of a priority for Trump’s White House, one senior official told The Daily Wire.

“Anyone that wants the Trump administration to support a piece of legislation should pay Mike Pence’s think tank and its lobbying arm to oppose it,” the senior White House official told The Daily Wire.

The article concludes:

David Freeman used his popular X account Gunther Eagleman to accuse Pence of selling out to lobbyists.

“THREE YEARS after the toxic TRAIN DISASTER in East Palestine that poisoned American families… MIKE PENCE and his globalist think tank are now LEADING the charge to BLOCK Trump’s rail safety bill! Never Trump RINOs NEVER change, they ALWAYS sell out hardworking Americans to Big Rail lobbyists,” he posted. “Trump and JD Vance are fighting for Americans, Pence is fighting AGAINST Americans. Disgraceful. Traitorous. EXACTLY why we dumped him.”

…The battle for the Railway Safety Act continues on Capitol Hill, and Trump and Vance remain steadfast supporters. Time will tell if Congress sides with the innocent people of East Palestine or Pence and the cabal of corporate lobbyists fighting for the dangerous but lucrative status quo.

Mike Pence believes that Donald Trump should never be President. I believe that Mike Pence should never again have political power in Washington.

How stupid does Chuck Schumer think we are?

On Thursday, Breitbart posted an article quoting some of Senator Schumer’s recent comments on the Save Act.

The article notes:

Schumer said, “It’s Jim Crow 2.0, and I called it Jim Crow 2.0, and the right wing went nuts all over the Internet. That’s because they know it’s true. What they’re trying to do here is the same thing that was done in the South for decades to prevent people of color from voting. For instance, if you change — you’re a woman who got married and changed your last name, you won’t be able to show ID and you’ll be discriminated against. If you can’t find a birth certificate, or a proper ID, you’ll be discriminated against. This is vicious and nasty. And I said to our Republican colleagues, it will not pass the Senate. You will not get a single Democratic vote in the Senate. We’re not reviving Jim Crow all over the country. And when the American people hear what exactly it is doing and what its intent is doing, they’re going to be against it as well.”

Since the majority of women who support the Democrat party are single, what’s the problem? Does Senator Schumer really believe that American women are so stupid that they can’t get a new driver’s license or social security card when they get married? I had no problem getting a real id as a married woman. I simply brought my birth certificate, my current driver’s license, etc., and promptly got my id. I think American women should be totally insulted that a U.S. Senator thinks that they are that stupid.

This Is Not Really A Surprise

On Monday, Breitbart reported that the United Nations (UN) is running out of money. Does this  mean we can kick them out of New York City for not paying their rent?

The article reports:

The United Nations is going broke and needs member nations to stump up cash. Lots of it. That is the plea from Secretary-General António Guterres who fears the globalist body is at risk of “imminent financial collapse” due to member states not paying their fees.

The former leader of the Portuguese Socialist Party said Friday the U.N. faces a financial crisis which was “deepening, threatening programme delivery” and money could run out as soon as July leaving the unaccountable globalist cabal destitute.

…Guterres sent a missive to all 193 member states outlining his fears and pleading they had to honor their mandatory payments or overhaul the organisation’s financial rules to avoid collapse.

It comes after the U.N.’s largest contributor, the U.S., refused to contribute to its regular and peacekeeping budgets and withdrew from several agencies it called a “waste of taxpayer dollars.”

These include the U.N.’s population agency and the U.N. treaty that establishes international climate negotiations, AP reports.

The article concludes:

Guterres said a rule that the U.N. must return unspent money on particular programs to members if it could not implement a budget created a “double blow” in which it was “expected to give back cash that does not exist.”

“I cannot overstate the urgency of the situation we now face. We cannot execute budgets with uncollected funds, nor return funds we never received.”

The U.S. is the U.N.’s largest contributor, but President Donald Trump has said it was not fulfilling its “great potential” and has criticised it for failing to support U.S.-led peace efforts.

The U.S. did not pay its contribution to the U.N.’s regular budget in 2025 and offered only 30 percent of its expected funding to U.N. peacekeeping operations.

Then in January last year, Trump withdrew it from dozens of international organisations, including 31 U.N. agencies, to “end American taxpayer funding and involvement in entities that advance globalist agendas over U.S. priorities.”

The U.N.s thirst for other people’s money appears inexhaustible as it still cries out for more.

Life gets difficult when America’s taxpayers refuse to pay for everyone else’s priorities!

The Real Cost Of Illegal Immigration

The people getting upset over U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) enforcing the law have chosen to overlook what happens when ICE does not enforce the law.

On Monday, Breitbart reported:

The office of the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference has released its annual state immigration report revealing that in 2025, illegal migrants committed 2,183 violent offenses, including 41 homicides, 145 sexual offenses, 11 child rapes, and more.

Republican State Rep. Dan Howell said he was shocked by the report and called the data “really, really bad.”

“These are the criminals liberals want to defend while trying to defund ICE,” he pointed out.

“Forty-one Tennesseeans are dead at the hands of illegal immigrants and hundreds raped. This will not be tolerated in this great state and we will do more to keep you safe,” Howell added. (emphasis original)

The “2025 Immigration Report” released on January 30 is a required (TN Code § 4-1-425 2024) annual report from the state’s district attorneys general conference. The law directs them to “collect and analyze data from law enforcement agencies on the number of persons not lawfully present in the United States charged or convicted of a criminal offense in this state during the previous year.”

The article notes:

The categories of crimes revealed a shocking toll suffered by the state’s citizens at the hands of illegal migrants.

Among the categories of crime, the report includes:

    • 2,183 violent offenses
    • 41 homicides
    • 1,592 assaults
    • 145 sexual offenses
    • 11 child rapes
    • 40 aggravated kidnappings
    • 2,920 DUIs
    • 5,318 cases of driving without a license or on suspended/or revoked
    • 966 Carjackings
    • 36 Felony firearms offenses
    • 66 Assaults on police or first responders

The “2025 Immigration Report” is now the second such report in compliance with the state law. The 2024 report, the first of its kind, collected data from only 73 of the state’s 95 counties and found that 2,719 non-citizens had been charged with crimes.

Are these the people you want to keep in our country? Are the people protesting ICE willing to have these people living in their neighborhoods? Where were the protesters when Martha’s Vineyard threw the illegal aliens out in less than 24 hours?

Actions Have Consequences

On Friday, Breitbart posted an article about the arrest of Don Lemon for his actions inside a Minnesota Church last weekend.

The article includes a statement by Don Lemon’s lawyer:

Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy award. Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done. The First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable.

Instead of investigating the federal agents who killed two peaceful Minnesota protesters, the Trump Justice Department is devoting its time, attention and resources to this arrest, and that is the real indictment of wrongdoing in this case. This unprecedented attack on the First Amendment and transparent attempt to distract attention from the many crises facing this administration will not stand. Don will fight these charges vigorously and thoroughly in court.

What about Don Lemon’s attack on the First Amendment rights of the people in the church? It has been reported that the rioters prevented the church members from getting to their children to remove them from the chaos. That is not a protest–that is terrorizing children.

The article concludes:

A Department of Justice attempt to arrest Lemon last week was foiled by an appellate court in the U.S. District Court in Minnesota that refused to sign off on the arrest warrant. Per CBS, this arrest warrant was the result of a grand jury indictment.

Do you want ‘protesters’ coming into your church and creating havoc? There are laws against that, and Don Lemon broke those laws.

More Government Fraud

On Tuesday, Breitbart posted an article about a government program that has provided phone and internet services for more than 116,000 dead people. Why has it taken this long to uncover massive fraud in many areas of government spending? What have Congress and the Inspectors General been doing with their time?

The article reports:

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr announced Tuesday that the agency will vote next month on proposals to remove fraud from the Lifeline program, which provided taxpayer dollars to pay for phone and internet services for more than 116,000 dead people.

“If the government is going to spend your hard earned dollars, it must ensure that they go only to living and lawful Americans,” Carr wrote on X.

Carr’s announcement followed a report from the Federal Communications Commission Office of Inspector General (FCC OIG), which found startling levels of fraud in the program. Congress and the FCC established the Lifeline program to help low-income Americans receive affordable communications service, which may include voice and broadband services and is paid out of the Universal Service Fund (USF).

The fraud includes “at least 16,774, and potentially as many as 39,362, deceased people, [who] were first enrolled and then claimed by a provider after they died (i.e. they were deceased at the time of enrollment.)”

Carr wrote that it may seem “obvious” to ensure that taxpayer dollars go to lawful Americans; however, he cautioned that the inspector general report found startling fraud within the Lifeline program:

1. A new Inspector General advisory found that providers took nearly $5 million in federal dollars to provide phone and Internet service to over 116,000 dead people.  And this IG advisory looked at just three states.

2. Gavin Newsom’s California was by far the worst offender of these opt-out states. On Governor Newsom’s watch, California allowed over 94,000 dead people to be used to obtain federal dollars for phone and Internet service.  The FCC recently revoked California’s authority to run its own verification process.

3. The FCC’s federal Lifeline program, which spends nearly $1 billion every year, does not have adequate checks in place to ensure that only lawful beneficiaries obtain those subsidies. There has been a recent rise in non-citizens fraudulently obtaining social security numbers. And the current verification process does not do a good enough job at preventing duplicative subscriptions and similar abuse.

The article concludes:

Carr warned that current agency regulations do not ensure that these federal dollars only go to American citizens, noting there has been a rise in non-citizens fraudulently obtaining social security numbers.

“So the FCC will be voting on a plan to address all of these issues. Your hard-earned dollars should only be going to those households that Congress intended to benefit,” Carr said in a statement.

Dead people and non-citizens should not be receiving tax dollars!

This Might Be Part Of The Problem

On Thursday, Breitbart posted an article illustrating part of the reason for the crime problem in America.

The article reports:

A Democrat judge has released a Chicago man with 57 prior arrests after he pleaded guilty to using a metal bar to smash a man’s jaw in a sneak attack.

The suspect, Pierre Thorne, 32, was charged after a December 8, 2022, attack on a 53-year-old man in Chicago’s downtown Loop area. Thorne reportedly used a metal pipe to attack the man from behind, CWBChicago reported.

…In addition to the shattered jaw, the victim lost several teeth, suffered multiple facial fractures, had damage to his nose, lacerations to his face and scalp, and an abrasion to his left eye. The victim also required several constructive surgeries, but his face is permanently disfigured.

Investigators tracked the attacker using surveillance footage in the area leading the Chicago Police to identify Thorne as the chief suspect in the case.

Prosecutors noted that Thorne had a long arrest record and had been arrested and released 57 times by the time he reached 30 years of age. He also had several misdemeanor convictions, many of which were for violent attacks.

The article concludes:

Thorne has now pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm in the pipe attack case. Despite this, he will serve no prison time.

Left-wing Cook County Circuit Judge Joanne Rosado sentenced him to four years in prison, but because he was handed a 752-day credit for time served and given a 50 percent sentence reduction, he will be set free to wreck havoc in the city once again.

Bringing Back Common-Sense Guidelines

On Monday, Breitbart posted an article reporting that President Trump has cancelled a Biden-era rule requiring banks to ignore immigration status for loan applications.

The article reports:

On Monday, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Justice Department eliminated the Biden guidelines that ordered lenders not to consider immigration status when evaluating loan and credit applications, a rule that had major implications for mortgages, credit cards, and auto loans, Bloomberg reported.

The Biden administration maintained that considering immigration status would violate anti-racism laws that ensure equal and fair lending practices.

The Biden era rules were intended to help anchor illegal and temporary visa workers into Americans’ communities, for example, by providing funds for homes, autos, and apartment leases.

But the Trump administration now says the rule went too far and was inappropriate and that considering immigration and residency status does not violate the 1974 Equal Credit Opportunity Act.

The article notes:

Biden’s rules raised many complaints when they were announced in 2023. One came from then-Ohio senator and now-Vice President JD Vance, who, when Biden made the change, said that considering immigration status as part of the loan vetting process is “nothing short of common sense.”

“A borrower’s likelihood of repayment significantly falls if there is no guarantee that they will be residing in the same community, let alone the same country or legal system,” said a Senate letter Vance, along with “every other Republican on the Senate Banking Committee,” signed in November of 2023.

“Financial institutions are right to be concerned that they may never see a return on loans issued to illegal immigrants,” then-Sen. Vance said in a press release.” If someone is deported to their home country, how is a bank in Ohio supposed recoup the loan it was forced to issue? The federal government should be cracking down on illegal immigration — not encouraging more of it.”

American citizenship should have value attached to it. Treating people who are here illegally as citizens undermines the value of citizenship. If I break into your house, I am not automatically part of your family. I have no problem with legal immigration, but people who break the law to come here are not citizens.

The Trump Economy Booms

On Thursday, Breitbart posted an article about improved labor productivity in America.

The article reports:

U.S. labor productivity accelerated sharply in the third quarter of 2025, rising at a 4.9 percent annual rate as workers contributed more output per hour worked, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday.

The figure substantially exceeded economist expectations of 3.6 percent and marked the strongest quarterly gain in two years. Combined with an upwardly revised 4.1 percent increase in the second quarter, the back-to-back performance suggests American businesses are adapting to tighter labor markets by investing in efficiency rather than pursuing the low-cost labor strategies that dominated much of the past two decades.

This is good news for American workers.

The article concludes:

The consecutive strong quarters in mid-2025 follow a weak first quarter when productivity fell 2.1 percent and unit labor costs surged 7.3 percent at the tail end of the Biden administration. That volatility is typical in quarterly data, but the trend over multiple quarters now points clearly toward sustained productivity acceleration.

The productivity gains carry significant implications for the economy’s inflation outlook. The Federal Reserve closely monitors unit labor costs as an indicator of wage-driven price pressures. With these costs now declining, the data removes a potential concern that could have complicated the Fed’s policy decisions.

The figures also suggest the economy may be capable of sustaining higher levels of output growth without generating inflation, since businesses are producing more from each hour of work rather than simply adding expensive labor inputs.

The government will release December employment data on Friday, providing additional insight into whether the labor market dynamics driving productivity gains are continuing into the final months of 2025.

Despite what the ‘experts’ are telling you in the mainstream media, President Trump’s economic policies are working. Not only are they working, they are helping average Americans who work for a living.

Senator Fetterman has pointed out that we should all be rooting for America to succeed, because when America succeeds, we all succeed.

Unfortunate Consequences Of Bad Behavior

On Wednesday, Breitbart posted an article about the halting of child care and family assistance funds for California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, and New York.

The article reports:

“Families who rely on child care and family assistance programs deserve confidence that these resources are used lawfully and for their intended purpose,” Deputy Secretary Jim O’Neill said in a written statement. “This action reflects our commitment to program integrity, fiscal responsibility, and compliance with federal requirements.”

The HHS will freeze access three programs that the HHS’s Administration for Children and Families (ACF) oversees, which includes the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG).

HHS will restrict:

    • $2.4 billion for the CCDF
    • $7.35 billion for TANF
    • $869 million for the SSBG

The government that provides for you can also stop providing for you. That is a lesson all Americans need to learn. Hopefully investigations can proceed quickly and legal funds can be restored where they are needed.

The article concludes:

The funds to three blue-run states will continue to be frozen until ACF determines that the states are in compliance with federal requirements.

“For too long, Democrat-led states and Governors have been complicit in allowing massive amounts of fraud to occur under their watch,” a health department spokesperson said in a statement to ABC News.

The spokesperson stated that the administration is “ensuring that federal taxpayer dollars are being used for legitimate purposes.”

One senior Trump administration official said that the child care programs were frozen due to “rampant fraud” and that money was given to illegal aliens.

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), in response to a post by President Donald Trump claiming that the investigation into fraud in California has begun, called the 47th president a “deranged, habitual liar whose relationship with reality ended years ago.”

Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) called the incoming funding freeze a “frontal assault” on children.

“We will fight this with every fiber of our being because our kids should not be political paws in a fight that Donald Trump seems to have with blue state governors,” she continued.

This is unfortunate, but so are the years of rampant corruption. Bad behavior has consequences, and innocent people get hurt. Hopefully the churches and charities will help cover the gaps.

Arresting People Who Broke The Law

America’s justice system has softened in many areas in recent years. That has resulted in people being released from jail who have no business being out on the streets. However, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) continues to do its job to keep Americans safe.

On Monday, Breitbart reported:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested 118 illegal aliens in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County in California, a sanctuary state. Several of the illegal aliens are registered sex offenders, drunk drivers, or pedophiles, among other crimes.

“ICE ended 2025 with a surge operation in California targeting the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens,” the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Tricia McLaughlin told Breitbart News. “One hundred and eighteen illegal aliens were arrested, including pedophiles, registered sex offenders, burglars, domestic abusers, and serial drunk drivers.”

The ICE operation took place from December 26 – 31, 2025, and saw the likes of Juan Perez Tello and Rogelio Sanchez Hidalgo arrested, among others.

Tello, a 42-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, has been convicted of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old and is a registered sex offender.

Hidalgo, a 41-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, has been convicted of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old, is a registered sex offender, and has been convicted of illegal re-entry.

The article concludes:

McLaughlin said illegal aliens “flock to California because they know Governor Newsom and his fellow sanctuary politicians will allow them to terrorize innocent American families.”

“In 2026, our law enforcement will continue to do what Gavin Newsom has refused to do: make California safe again,” McLaughlin said.

Our immigration procedures need to change. We need to make it easier and less expensive for people who want to come here and assimilate to immigrate. We also need to set up some sort of sponsorship program that involves individuals–not NGO’s. Americans are a generous people, and I think many of us would be willing to help resettle an immigrant into America if the immigrant planned to assimilate and be an asset to their community.

Is Freedom Spreading In Latin America?

On Friday, Breitbart posted an article a new regional political bloc President of Argentina Javier Milei is setting up in Latin America.

The article reports:

President of Argentina Javier Milei revealed in a soon-to-be released interview he is actively working towards establishing a regional ten-country bloc in Latin America to stand up to the “cancer of socialism.”

Milei was interviewed by journalist Andrés Oppenheimer this week for Oppenheimer’s television show at CNN en Español. A brief snippet was published by the outlet ahead of the full interview’s upcoming broadcast on January 11. The Argentine President is a staunch opponent of socialism and all of its “collectivism” forms. 

“We haven’t named it yet, but there is already a group of ten countries working on it, and we will continue to move forward,” Milei said. “We are trying to form a bloc, in which our proposal is to embrace the ideas of freedom and stand up to the cancer of socialism in its various forms, whether it be socialism of the 21st century, woke socialism, not to mention the more extreme versions.”

The article concludes:

“The government emphasizes that a large part of the group has already signed joint statements not only criticizing Chavismo in Venezuela, but also supporting U.S. actions in the Caribbean Sea and the elections in Honduras, which were decided in favor of Asfura, Washington’s candidate,” La Nación reported.

The newspaper noted that the Argentine government is “enthusiastic” about the evident shift in ideological trends across the region and is seeking to emphasize similarities with other potential members of the group — particularly in light of the upcoming elections in Brazil and Colombia, two nations presently led by socialist governments whom Milei has had past impasses with.

This is fantastic news.

Another Serious Vehicle Accident Caused By A Non-English-Speaking Driver

America has a problem right now with people who cannot speak English getting Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL’s). Not being able to read road signs or understand verbal commends impacts safety conditions on American roads.

On Thursday, Breitbart reported:

A Tennessee truck driver is dead after a Chinese national, who is not proficient in English and has a non-domiciled New York commercial driver’s license (CDL), allegedly crashed a tour bus — now federal transportation officials are investigating how he was cleared to drive.

“A Chinese national driving a motorcoach slammed into a vehicle in Tennessee, killing an individual and causing a major traffic jam this week,” Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy wrote in a post on social media. “And to make matters worse: this driver had a non-domiciled CDL from NY and couldn’t speak English!”

Earlier this week, Huang Yisong, a 54-year-old Chinese national, allegedly slammed a tour bus he was driving into the rear of a tractor-trailer while watching videos on his cell phone, the New York Post reported. Yisong failed an English-proficiency test administered by Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers. His immigration status is not clear at this time.

The State of New York issued a non-domiciled CDL to Yisong.

“It’s outrageous,” a Department of Transportation spokesperson told the Post. “Our team is already investigating New York’s opaque licensing practices that enable dangerous, foreign drivers to kill innocent Americans.”

This is a safety issue and needs to addresses immediately.

However, earlier this year, President Donald Trump signed an executive order requiring that trukers be proficient in English, Breitbart’s Nick Gilbertson reported in April.

“President Trump believes that English is a non-negotiable safety requirement for professional drivers, as they should be able to read and understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officers, border patrol, agricultural checkpoints, and cargo weight-limit station personnel, and provide and receive feedback and directions in English,” the document notes.

Under the anticipated order, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will be directed “to rescind and replace guidance to strengthen inspection procedures for compliance with English proficiency requirements,” per the White House document.

This isn’t an immigration issue–it’s a safety issue.

I Don’t Think Everyone Is On The Same Page

On Sunday, Breitbart posted an article about the quest for peace in Gaza.

The article reports:

Hamas leader Khaled Mashal declared that “the resistance and its weapons are our honor and glory” and that “the battle is not over,” boasting that rights are won “at the recruitment office, not the U.N. Security Council” — a declaration that directly contradicts President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan and celebrates the October 7 “Al-Aqsa Flood” massacre as a turning point to push Israel off “our homeland” and the international stage.

I don’t believe you can make peace with people who celebrate the events of October 7.

The article notes:

Speaking Saturday by video to the “Pledge to Jerusalem” conference in Istanbul, the head of Hamas abroad used a keynote address carried on Al Jazeera to lay out an uncompromising roadmap that flatly rejects the core elements of President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan — disarmament, an international stabilization force, and Hamas’s removal from power — even as the terror group moves toward Phase Two of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire it ostensibly accepted two months ago.

Notice that he was in Istanbul–not in Gaza. That seems to be the pattern of Hamas leadership–they stay away from the war zone.

The article also reports:

He urged the wider Islamic “ummah” to commit to “the liberation of Jerusalem as the banner and symbol of freeing Palestine,” including the “cleansing” of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the “reclaiming” of Islamic and Christian holy sites, framing Gaza as the vanguard that launched the “Al-Aqsa Flood” massacre in 2023 and “turned into the pride of the nation and the conscience of nations.”

In remarks highlighted by multiple Israeli outlets, Mashal explicitly rejected any “guardianship, mandate and re-occupation” over Gaza, the West Bank, or “all of Palestine,” insisting that Palestinians “need protection, not guardians” and that “the Palestinian is the one who governs himself and decides for himself.”

Unfortunately, I believe the only path to peace in Gaza has to include the end of Hamas and its leadership.

On A Lighter Note

It’s the Christmas season. We are past Thanksgiving and can legitimately get on with Christmas–even though the store decorations went up in September. Well, there’s one raccoon who was determined to get ‘in the spirit.’

On Wednesday, Breitbart posted an article about an unnamed raccoon who was found passed-out drunk in the bathroom of a liquor store in Hanover County, Virginia. The unnamed, and probably hungover, raccoon has been captured, examined and found without injuries, and been released back into the wild.

This is not the first time raccoons have had a problem with alcohol. The article reports:

“In early September 2019, residents in Ottawa, Canada, spotted a few raccoons staggering around in the daylight and grew panicky enough to call the cops,” it noted. “[One raccoon] couldn’t really move. He was dragging his legs, he was wobbling, having a hard time standing up,” one resident told CBC News. “You could tell something was wrong with him for sure.”

“As it turns out, these normally nocturnal animals weren’t dangerous or rabid; they had simply gotten drunk from eating too many fermented crab apples. Over the next few days, the sight of drunken raccoons stumbling around and passing out on people’s property became all too common,” it added.

I remember an incident in our house many years ago when a bunch of fresh-picked blackberries that had been washed and sprinkled with some sugar were left on the counter for snacking. After a few days, we noticed the children acting strangely and removed the blackberries. Things ferment very quickly in the summertime!

What Happens When You Enforce The Law

On Tuesday, Breitbart posted an article about the results of actually enforcing immigration laws in Charlotte, North Carolina. I really don’t think of North Carolina as a hotbed of illegal immigration, but I guess it is naive to think any state is immune from that plague.

The article reports:

In just a few short weeks, a Border Patrol-led task force arrested more than 400 illegal aliens in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to Border Patrol Commander Greg K. Bovino, illegal aliens targeted and arrested during “Operation Charlotte’s Web” were found to be in the company of others who also had a significant criminal history in more than 50 percent of all cases.

Breitbart Texas spoke to Chief Bovino on Monday about the number of arrests since the operation began on November 15. According to Bovino, 274 illegal aliens were arrested exclusively by the Border Patrol cadre sent to Charlotte, North Carolina. Bovino says the collaboration with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during the same time frame nearly doubled that number to more than 400, bringing the total to more than 400 since the operation commenced.

The article concludes:

The immigration enforcement operation inside the Tar Heel State is designed to target illegal aliens drawn to North Carolina due to sanctuary protections that would allow them to move within the state without fear of apprehension by immigration authorities, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin commented on the effort to enforce immigration laws in the state, saying, “Americans should be able to live without fear of violent criminal illegal aliens hurting them, their families, or their neighbors. We are surging DHS law enforcement to Charlotte to ensure Americans are safe and public safety threats are removed.”

Those complaining about ICE removing illegals need to remember how many Americans have been victims of crimes committed by illegals. They also need to remember that people who were here illegally were given an opportunity to leave on their own with a small stipend to help them get started again in their own countries. We need to go back to respecting the law.

The former Hamas insider’s warning comes as Israel marks two linked anniversaries: 78 years since the U.N. Partition Plan on November 29, 1947 — when the Arab world rejected a Jewish state and launched a war — and its November 30 national day commemorating the departure and expulsion of nearly 900,000 Jews from Arab and Muslim countries and Iran, after Arab regimes turned on their Jewish populations in the wake of the U.N. vote and Israel’s creation and stripped them of citizenship, property, and basic rights.

“The world forgets history,” Yousef said. “But history is repeating itself — and this time the liberal West is helping it happen.”

“This is their strategy,” he warned. “Put children in harm’s way, weaponize civilians, endanger both sides, and use the blood to ignite endless war.”

Hamas, he stressed, knows it cannot defeat Israel on the battlefield.

“They know they cannot win a conventional war,” Yousef said. “So they try to defeat Israel in the court of liberal Western opinion — by creating as many civilian casualties as possible and then screaming ‘genocide.’”

This was his comment about Palestinians:

The former Hamas operative reserved some of his sharpest criticism for what he called the “manufactured Palestinian identity,” insisting it was invented for political utility and continues to fuel violence that Western progressives now excuse.

“There is no such thing as Palestinian,” he said. “There is no such thing as Palestine. These are terms borrowed from the Romans — from conquerors. At most, what they call ‘Palestinians’ are Arabs, and Israel already has two million Arab citizens.”

He described the Palestinian national narrative as “a mask,” constructed to justify rejecting peace, rejecting coexistence, and ultimately rejecting Israel’s right to exist — even as the same narrative is now chanted on American campuses.

Bringing Safety To Our Roadways

On Saturday, Breitbart posted an article detailing some recent efforts by federal and state authorities to keep our roads safe.

The article reports:

Federal and state authorities arrested nearly 250 foreign commercial truck drivers in November alone, warning that cartel operatives and foreign nationals are exploiting America’s commercial driver licensing system to infiltrate freight corridors and endanger national security.

A nationwide crackdown on foreign drivers with Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) led to the apprehension of nearly 250 drivers in Arizona, Indiana, Wyoming, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and even New York and California. The federally led operation followed orders from President Donald Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy to remove these often-dangerous drivers from American highways. Many of the drivers were found to be illegally present in the United States.

The article cites one example of the national security risk:

An example of the potential national security threat revealed itself with the arrest in Kansas on November 9 of an Uzbek national who is a member of a known terrorist organization, Breitbart’s John Binder reported. ICE agents arrested 31-year-old illegal alien Akhror Bozorov as he operated a commercial vehicle with a Pennsylvania-issued CDL. The driver, wanted in his home country of Uzbekistan for terrorist activities, entered the U.S. illegally in February 2023 and was released into the U.S. by the Biden administration.

“Not only was Akhror Bozorov — a wanted terrorist — released into the country by the Biden administration, but he was he was also given a commercial driver’s license by Governor Shapiro’s Pennsylvania,” Department of Homeland Security’s Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.

“This should go without saying, but terrorist illegal aliens should not be operating 18-wheelers on America’s highways,” McLaughlin said. “Biden and Mayorkas allowed countless terrorists to come into our country. President Trump and Secretary Noem unleashed ICE to target these national security threats.”

Despite federal judges blocking parts of Trump’s emergency rule, enforcement raids are expanding nationwide. DHS officials say the message is clear: foreign CDL drivers are now viewed as a frontline national security threat.

On Thursday, Just the News reported that President Trump announced that Sarah Beckstrom, 20, of West Virginia, a National Guardsman who was shot Wednesday in Washington, D.C., has died. She and Guardsman Andrew Wolfe were ambushed by an Afghani national.

The suspected shooter has been identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national. 

On Wednesday, Breitbart reported:

In November 2021, just as former President Joe Biden’s administration was importing thousands of Afghan nationals to the United States every week, then-Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas admitted that “not all” Afghans were being vetted with “in-person, refugee interviews,” an admission that shocked members of Congress.

On Wednesday, 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal of Afghanistan left two National Guardsmen in critical condition after he allegedly opened fire on them while shouting “Allahu Akbar,” law enforcement officials say.

Lakanwal arrived in the U.S. in 2021 as part of Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome, carried out by Mayorkas at the time, which ultimately resettled tens of thousands of Afghans in American communities.

In November 2021, during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Mayorkas admitted to members of Congress that not every Afghan national brought to the U.S. following the withdrawal of American troops in Afghanistan had been vetted in-person.

“We are not conducting in-person, refugee interviews of 100 percent individuals,” Mayorkas said.

The article at Breitbart concludes:

In September 2021, before a Senate hearing, then-Secretary of State Antony Blinken also admitted that vetting was unlikely to have occurred for thousands of Afghan nationals before they boarded planes to the U.S.

“What percentage of [Afghans] were vetted before they actually got on those planes?” Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) asked Blinken.

“Before they got on their airplanes to leave Kabul? Certainly not, most of them were not,” Blinken admitted.

We need to examine very carefully the people from Muslim countries that are coming into America. I am sure many of them are peaceful people only looking for a quiet place to raise their families, but we need to find a way to sort the peaceful people who want to assimilate into America from the Islamists. The fact that the murderer yelled, “Allahu Akbar” while firing on his victims might be a clue that he has not assimilated.

The Cost Of Thanksgiving

On Saturday, Breitbart posted an article about the cost of celebrating Thanksgiving this year.

The article reports:

The cost of a traditional Thanksgiving meal is down sharply this year, falling to the lowest price since 2021, according to the American Farm Bureau.

The farm bureau’s 40th annual survey found that a classic Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people will cost $55.18, down five percent from last year.

Since 1986, volunteers across all 50 states and Puerto Rico have been organized by the American Farm Bureau (AFB) to record local prices for turkey, cubed stuffing, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, frozen peas, fresh cranberries, celery, carrots, pumpkin pie mix and crusts, whipping cream and whole milk.

Prices soared during the presidency of Joe Biden, with inflation rising to the worst pace in forty years. The price of a classic Thankgiving meal surged 14 percent in 2021, Biden’s first year in office, hitting a then-record high of $53.31.

Despite the administration’s insistence that the price increases were “transitory” or the result of a temporary supply shock, the following year what came to be called Bidenflation was even worse. The price of a Thanksgiving meal jumped another 20 percent, skyrocketing to $64.05.

By Biden’s final Thanksigiving, the price of a traditional family holiday meal was 24 percent higher than it was when he took office.

The decline in price vindicates President Trump’s recent claims about the Thanksgiving meal becoming more affordable for American families. The decline is all the more notable because it defies predictions that President Trump’s trade and immigration policies would drive prices up.

I can guarantee that if the Democrats gain control of either Congress of the White House in the coming years, inflation will rear its ugly head again. Although President Trump and Congress have not yet been able to cut spending as much as I would like, I believe that they will continue to move in that direction in the coming months. Cutting government spending is the sensible way to deal with inflation.

Stopping An Unnecessary Drain On America’s Finances

On Thursday, Breitbart posted an article about a new regulation being put in place by the U.S. Treasury Department that will potentially save taxpayers anywhere from $870 million to $1.6 billion.

The article reports:

President Donald Trump’s Treasury Department will issue a new rule that prevents illegal aliens and foreign nationals from securing income tax credits such as the lucrative Earned Income Tax Credit and Additional Child Tax Credit, Breitbart News has exclusively learned.

On Thursday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the agency would issue new regulations regarding who is eligible for such income tax credits under the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA).

“Under President Trump’s leadership, we are enforcing the law and preventing illegal aliens from claiming tax benefits intended for American citizens,” Bessent told Breitbart News.

In particular, the rule will clarify that refunded portions of the Earned Income Tax Credit, the Additional Child Tax Credit, the American Opportunity Tax Credit, and the Saver’s Match Credit are federal public benefits and, therefore, illegal aliens and other foreign nationals will not be eligible to receive such benefits.

…The rule comes after the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel released an opinion on the matter that interprets income tax credits as federal public benefits, thus making illegal aliens ineligible.

The article concludes:

Researchers estimate that illegal aliens given Social Security Numbers likely enjoy $2.9 billion in cash payments — $2 billion deriving from the Earned Income Tax Credit and about $890 million from the Additional Child Tax Credit.

Likewise, illegal aliens with Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers are estimated to receive anywhere from $870 million to $1.6 billion in Additional Child Tax Credit payments.

The Treasury Department rule is set to take effect for the 2026 tax year.

America has an economic safety net for Americans. We cannot afford to have an economic safety net for the world.

We Don’t Seem To Be Doing Very Well At Helping Disaster Victims

On Saturday, Breitbart posted an update about the victims of the Palisades Fire in California.

The article reports:

More than 70 percent of people who were affected by the Palisades Fire in California from January are still living in temporary housing, according to a report.

A survey conducted by the Department of Angels surveyed “2,300 fire-impacted residents across” Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles Times. The survey found that 75 percent “of surveyed Pacific Palisades residents and 67% of surveyed Altadena residents are in temporary housing.”

Per the outlet:

Roughly 75% of surveyed Pacific Palisades residents and 67% of surveyed Altadena residents are in temporary housing. Many expect they’ll have to move again in the next few months. The report found that although residents who experienced a total loss have struggled with finding stable housing, residents who experienced structural and smoke or ash damage have had to move more frequently.

For residents who lost their homes in Altadena, Pacific Palisades, Pasadena and Malibu, 22% said they expected to move again within the next six to 12 months and 9% expected to move within the next few months. Of those residents who experienced structural and smoke or ash damage, 19% expected to have to move in the next few months and 18% believed they’d have to move within a year.

Fox News reported  one person explained that the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) “has Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Relief Dollars.”

The person explained to Fox News that prior to the government shutdown, they were “going to meet with HUD” to talk about that, adding that it could be used to reinvest in infrastructure.

I’m sorry–the fire was almost a year ago–you waited until September to meet with HUD? The government was shut down for forty days. Am I supposed to believe that those were the exact forty days you chose to meet with HUD?

There are a number of problems with rebuilding Pacific Palisades. The first is the excessive permitting in California. The second is the fact that many of the residents did not have fire insurance because it was canceled and they did not have time to renew it. That means taking out a construction loan for the full value of what you are building. That is expensive. There is also the reason of taxes. The land has significant value. Even with a small house, the tax assessment of what you build is going to be high. In California when you buy a house, you pay taxes on what you paid for the house for as long as you own the house. When you sell your house, the buyer pays taxes on whatever he paid for the house. I suspect that if the residents rebuild the houses, they will be assessed at their current value–not at whatever they were previously assessed for. If you bought your house in 1970 for a million dollars and paid taxes on that amount until it burned down, what will the rebuilt value be? Just based on inflation it will be at least three times what it was previously valued at. There is also the fact that the California government has floated the idea of turning the area into low-income apartment buildings.

This isn’t looking good for those who lost everything in the fire.
