The Impact Of Immigration Without Assimilation

On Thursday, Breitbart posted an article about the number of ‘no-go zones’ in Europe. The number is estimated to be between 900 and 1,000. A ‘no-go zone’ is an area where local law enforcement is weakened and crime rates tend to be high. In Sweden, the Post Office will no longer deliver mail to certain ‘no-go zones.’

The article reports:

Authored by Maxime Hemery-Aymar, of France’s Observatory of Immigration and Demography (OID), it directly linked the mass migration and open borders agendas to high-crime areas, the breakdown of social norms, and even the fostering of Islamist terrorism.

Indeed, the think tank found that 63 per cent of Islamist terror attacks in Europe between 2010 and 2025 had a “verified link” to an identified no-go zone.

“So-called ‘sensitive neighbourhoods’ in Europe remain fertile grounds where such vulnerabilities can be exploited: community withdrawal, perceived exclusion, and petty crime create a conducive context that jihadist recruiters know how to leverage,” the report stated.

The report found a “strong correlation between demographic composition and spatial dysfunction,” stating that identified no-go zones had an average of 40 per cent foreign-born populations, compared to the EU average of 20 per cent and the EU urban average of 30 per cent.

“Therefore, the share of the foreign-born population in the studied no-go zones is more than 100% higher than in the rest of the EU,” the report noted.

The article notes:

Left-wing do-good efforts also appear to be correlated with the rise of no-go zones. Government housing programmes aimed at low-income migrants are actually creating more divides within societies, given that immigrants are “disproportionately confined to the limited social housing stock,” rather than being spread out across the country, the report claimed.

To remedy the situation, the think tank argued for significant immigration reform, particularly of family reunification, otherwise known as chain migration, which has been a chief driver of immigration in recent years. The report also called for increased deportations, stricter limits on residency and citizenship, as well as coordinated investment in policing to restore order, and incentives to see natives return to their cities.

Presenting the report to the EU Parliament this week, President of New Direction and the co-chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR) group, Nicola Procaccini, said that “if we allow these enclaves to grow, we are not just losing our streets, but also the very values of freedom and equality that define our civilisation.”

The answer to the problem is to encourage assimilation. If someone does not want to assimilate, they need to go somewhere that is compatible to their cultural norms. If you come to a western country, you need to be willing to live within the culture of the country,

The Danger Ahead

There is a price to be paid for not carefully vetting anyone who wants to come to America to live. I understand that refugees need a safe place, but Americans also need a safe place. Ideally, we need to find a place in the Middle East where refugees from the wars there can safely live until peace breaks out. Knowing the Middle East, that may take a while, but I believe eventually everyone will get tired of fighting and someone will win. Meanwhile, Muslim refugees are flooding Europe and soon to be flooding America. So what are the consequences of this flood of people who have never been part of western civilization?

The U.K. Daily Mail  posted an article today that illustrates the consequences of the invasion of Europe by Muslim refugees.

The article reports:

An 18-year-old victim of the sex attacks in Cologne has described being surrounded by a group of 30 ‘angry’ men who groped her and her friends then stole their belongings as they fled.

The teenager, named only as Michelle, appeared on German TV to recount the harrowing ordeal she endured during the city’s New Year’s Eve celebrations last week.

Police say the wave of attacks – which has so far seen 90 women report being assaulted – were perpetrated by groups of ‘Arab or North African‘ men in the city centre.

Michelle’s shocking testimony comes as the city’s own council today admitted its town centre was now a ‘no-go area’ for women, while it has emerged similar attacks occurred the same night across Hamburg and Stuttgart.

Alarmingly, police in Dusseldorf fear the attacks may be linked to a known criminal gang comprising 2,000 North African men who use sexual assault as a means of distraction.

And while German media and authorities stand accused of covering up previous incidents to avoid stoking tensions, there are fears the upcoming carnival celebrations in Cologne will see a repeat of the brazen attacks.

There are a few things to note here. The city council of Cologne is admitting that its town center is now a ‘no-go area’ for women. Is that acceptable? There were about thirty men involved in the attack on Michelle and her friends. These men are obviously bullies and cowards–they attacked as a mob so that they totally outnumbered their victims.

Western countries should not have ‘no-go zones’–for women or for men. There are places in America where Americans have been arrested for preaching Christianity because Muslims were offended and began to throw rocks. (rightwinggranny.com) Western countries generally practice law and order. If immigrants to those countries are not willing to abide by the law, they need to be sent back to where they came from. They are creating the same lawlessness in the countries they have sought refuge in that they fled in their home countries. Let them be lawless in the lawless countries they fled.

When We Ignore The Words Of Those Who Know…

PJ Media posted an article by Andrew McCarthy today about last night’s events in Paris. Mr. McCarthy references an article he wrote after the Charlie Hebdo attacks called Islam and Free Speech which is part of a series published by Encounter Books.

The following is from that article:

How did we get to this historical anomaly in France where, as the estimable scholar Daniel Pipes observes, “a majority population accepts the customs and even the criminality of a poorer and weaker community”? It is the result of a conquest ideology taking the measure of a civilization that no longer values its heritage, no longer regards itself as worthy of defense.

France’s population of 66 million is now approximately 10 percent Islamic. Estimates are sketchy because, in a vestige of its vanishing secularist tradition, France does not collect census data about religious affiliation. Still, between 6 and 7 million Muslims are reasonably believed to be resident in the country (Pew put the total at 4.7 million back in 2010 – other analysts peg it higher today). To many in France, the number seems higher, due to both the outsize influence of Islamist activists on the political class and the dense Muslim communities in and around Paris – approximating 15 percent of the local population. An online poll conducted by Ipsos Mosi in 2014 found that the average French citizen believes Muslims make up about a third of the country’s population.

When refugees assimilate, there is no problem. When refugees refuse to assimilate, there is a problem.

Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, A Qatar-based Egyptian octogenarian, is a Muslim Brotherhood icon. He is considered the world’s most influential sharia jurist. He has stated:

Were we to convince Western leaders and decision-makers of our right to live according to our faith — ideologically, legislatively, and ethically — without imposing our views or inflicting harm upon them, we would have traversed an immense barrier in our quest for an Islamic state.

The article at PJ Media states:

The key to the conquest strategy is to coerce the West into accepting a Muslim right to resist assimilation, to regard sharia as superseding Western law and custom when the two conflict. For precisely this reason, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation – a bloc of 56 Muslim countries (plus the Palestinian Authority) – has decreed that “Muslims should not be marginalized or attempted to be assimilated, but should be accommodated.” Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Islamist president of Turkey who has systematically dismantled that country’s secular, pro-Western system, similarly pronounces that pressuring Muslims to assimilate in the West “is a crime against humanity.”

Free expression is the gateway to assimilation. Consequently, radical Islam cannot tolerate it.

France has had “no go zones” for years–places where non-Muslims are not welcome. These zones are places where jihadist activity can flourish without restraint.

The article concludes:

Some of these zones inevitably evolve into hotbeds of jihadist activity. As the Gatestone Institute’s Soeren Kern notes, there has been no shortage of Internet traffic suggesting, for example, “the killing of France’s ambassadors, just as the manly Libyan fighters killed the U.S. ambassador in Benghazi.” In a low-intensity jihadist thrum stretching back several years, the torching of automobiles has become a commonplace – as many as 40,000 cars burned annually. Perhaps most alarmingly, over a thousand French Muslims, more than from any other Western country, are estimated to have traveled to Syria to fight for ISIS – meaning many will return to the country as trained, battle-hardened jihadists. Beyond the direct ISIS participants, moreover, the Washington Post has reported that a recent poll found 16 percent of French citizens expressing some degree of support for ISIS – an organization whose rule over the vast territory it has seized is best known for decapitations, rapine, the execution of homosexuals, mass graves, and the enslavement of non-Muslim communities.

Once one grasps the voluntary apartheid strategy, it becomes obvious why radical Islam’s inroads in France, and elsewhere in Europe, seamlessly translate into demands for the enforcement of sharia’s curbs on speech and artistic expression. What is not so obvious is just how profound a challenge to the West this constitutes.

Western civilization is in a war for its survival. The question is whether or not we will fight that war. Whether we fight that war or not, the jihadists will fight it.

We need to pray for France, but we also need to pray for western civilization. That is what is on the line.

The Politics Of Destruction

Bobby Jindal is one of America‘s most successful state governors. He has been a major player in cleaning up Louisiana politics, he has worked to rebuild education in the state following the shambles left by Hurricane Katrina, and he has generally done an awesome job as governor. He is not yet running for president, but is considering it. Therefore, the Democrat-biased press must work to discredit him. Recently, Governor Jindal stated the there were ‘no-go zones’ in Europe. The press decided that was their point of attack. Never mind that much of the major media had reported on these zones in recent years.

Breitbart.com posted an article today weighing in on the subject.

The article states:

This has been reported for years. The New York Times reported in April 2002, “Arab gangs regularly vandalize synagogues here, the North African suburbs have become no-go zones at night, and the French continue to shrug their shoulders.” And Newsweek said in November 2005: “According to research conducted by the government’s domestic intelligence network, the Renseignements Generaux, French police would not venture without major reinforcements into some 150 ‘no-go zones’ around the country–and that was before the recent wave of riots began on Oct. 27.

Just two weeks ago, the New Republic wrote: “The word banlieue (‘suburb’) now connotes a no-go zone of high-rise slums, drug-fueled crime, failing schools and poor, largely Muslim immigrants and their angry offspring.”

No-go zones are not new news. There have been times in American history when certain areas were controlled by gangs or gangsters and similar things occurred. However, for the press to lie to Americans as if these zones did not exist and to minimize the threat that these zones may eventually come here is to fail to do the job the press is supposed to do. Our Constitution protects us to some extent, but even in America there have been incidents where American’s rights have not been upheld. In September, I posted an article (rightwinggranny.com) about a group of Christian evangelists who were forced to leave an Arab-American street festival in Dearborn, Michigan, in 2012. Their First Amendment rights were clearly violated.

Yes, there are no-go zones in many countries in the world, and yes, the purpose of this dust-up was to make sure Bobby Jindal would not be a credible candidate for president.

Is This A Prelude To ‘No-Go’ Zones In America ?

No-go zones are areas in a city or country where the local authorities (police, fire department, and other emergency personnel) have lost control. In Europe there are large areas of major cities that are off-limits to non-Muslims. These areas are controlled by Sharia law–not the laws of whatever country they are actually in.

Townhall.com posted an article by Associated Press News reporting on teachings by the Muslim leadership in New York City regarding dealings with the police.

The article reports:

Muslim community leaders are openly teaching people how to identify police informants, encouraging them to always talk to a lawyer before speaking with the authorities and reminding people already working with law enforcement that they have the right to change their minds. Some members of the community have planned a demonstration for next week.

There has been a program in New York City that has involved eavesdropping on the Muslim community. Police have built databases of the members of the community.

The article reports:

A recently distributed brochure from an advocacy organization at the City University of New York Law School warns people to be wary when confronted by someone who advocates violence against the U.S., discusses terror organizations, is overly generous or is aggressive in their interactions. The brochure said that person could be a police informant.

“Be very careful about involving the police,” the brochure said. “If the individual is an informant, the police may not do anything … If the individual is not an informant and you report them, the unintended consequences could be devastating.”

Sweeping skepticism of police affects community relations at all levels of law enforcement on a wide range of issues, not just the NYPD’s counterterrorism programs. Interactions with a real terror operative could go unreported to law enforcement out of an assumption that the operative is actually working for the NYPD. A victim of domestic abuse or street violence may not trust the police enough to call for help.

This is a problem that has good arguments on both sides. No one wants to be spied upon–I understand that, but how do we deal with the risk of terrorism and the fact that recent acts of terrorism against America have been planned and executed by Muslims. It is a fact of life that we have textbooks in some Muslim schools in America teaching antisemitism. It is a fact of life that we have Muslim clerics in various mosques in America preaching hatred and violence. It is a fact of life that we have Muslim leaders on the internet encouraging violence and terrorism. What is the government’s responsibility in terms of keeping Americans safe? What are the rights of Americans to practice their religion without being observed by the government? Is it time to acknowledge that there is a political and military side of Islam that does need to be monitored?

As you can see, I have more questions than answers about the matter of spying on mosques and Muslim leaders. Unfortunately, spying on mosques and Muslim leaders may be a temporary necessity.
