America’s Drug War Is Having An Impact

On Saturday, Breitbart posted an article about a drug seizure in southern Mexico.

The article reports:

A recent cocaine seizure in southern Mexico points to a new trend as traffickers have increased land smuggling operations in response to the aggressive interdiction actions taken by the U.S. government, which have sunk numerous vessels in international waters.

The seizure took place this week in the southern Mexican border city of Tapachula, Chiapas, when Mexican federal authorities seized 202 bricks of cocaine hidden in a late model Jeep Patriot. According to information provided to Breitbart Texas by Mexico’s government, military forces intercepted the vehicle, and during a search, they found a series of hidden compartments with multiple bricks of cocaine. Authorities then arrested the driver and turned him over to federal investigators for prosecution.

While cocaine shipments hidden in vehicle compartments are commonplace in the border crossings between Mexico and the United States, they are rare in the country’s southern border. This is due to the fact that traditionally, drug cartels would routinely receive multi-ton shipments of cocaine by sea from Central and South American traffickers.

Breitbart Texas has reported extensively on this tactic, where small speedboats would pull up to Mexico’s western coast, dropping off drug shipments that were then eventually moved by land to Mexico’s northern border.

The article notes that the increase in land shipments is a direct result of America’s policy of sinking drug boats in the waters off Mexico and South America.

Defeating the Cartels

Over the past several years, the Mexican drug cartels have been responsible for the deaths of more American citizens than all previous wars we have fought. Illegal drugs, and especially deadly fentanyl, prepared and sent across our southern border have been allowed to enrich the criminal cartels. Aided by China, which provides the ingredients and expertise to produce these drugs, and the Biden administration’s open border policy, the cartels have become a force to be reckoned with. They have accumulated wealth that has allowed them to purchase sophisticated weapons and technology more like a modern army than a gang of criminals. A recent report showed that over the four years of the Biden administration, the drug cartels made over $13 billion–truly a staggering sum.

In president Trump’s recent speech to Congress, he stated that the drug cartels have been waging a war on us and it’s time for us to wage a war on them. The question becomes how do we go about it. The first thing in any war is to fully understand the capabilities of your enemy. According to a recent article in the Epoch Times, the drug cartels not only have ample supplies of the usual firearms and weapons, but now have undetectable drones, military grade encryption, and even access to the Israeli created Pegasus spy system that can break into any cellphone system undetected. The drones are used to ferry drugs across the border, surveil our military bases, and carry explosives with pinpoint accuracy. They are equipped with self-contained GPS guidance that does not require detectable guidance from a central location, making them untraceable.

In addition to their increasing technological advancement, the cartels are recognizing the potential threat from the Trump administration and banding together as a united force instead of separate entities. They are being aided by the Chinese, who continue to provide technical support and training. The Attorney General of Oklahoma, Gentner Drummond, has reported that due to the pressure exerted on the cartels by Texas Governor Abbott, the cartels are increasingly using Oklahoma as their base of operations within the United States. Many of the centers for these activities are the marijuana farms which were created when Oklahoma legalized medical marijuana and are now being controlled by cartels and Chinese immigrants

What are our options in defeating this enemy? Direct military intervention is complicated by the obvious fact that they are mostly controlled from within Mexico and not directly accessible to our forces. Trump has once again put pressure on Mexico to close the border and help eliminate the cartels as he did in his first administration. These efforts should reduce the money going to the cartels. It remains to be seen how effective this will be since in many ways the drug cartels control the Mexican government, especially locally. Before fighting an enemy, it is crucial to define what the endgame will look like. Viewing the drug cartels as terrorist organizations like Isis may provide effective blueprint. The most effective strategy appears to be a counterinsurgency operation that targets the cartels’ operational structure. A covert special operations campaign to take down the cartels appears to be the best option at this time. We will need the cooperation of Mexico and the will to take this on.

I believe that President Trump has the will to deal with this and is truly concerned about saving the lives of our people, unlike the previous administration. Let’s get to it.

Resisting Communist China

Let’s face the facts. The very unwise effort by the U.S. Government over the past 40 years to undermine communism in China by granting them economic privileges and favored nation status has been a disaster. The naïve politicians , who fostered this absurd policy included Democrats and Republicans such as
Henry Kissinger, Richard Nixon, George Bush (both), Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and worst of all Joe Biden. As a result, communist China is arguably the strongest country on earth economically and militarily. And we funded them!

The question is what do we do now? First, we have to recognize that President  Biden is a compromised president who is being unduly influenced by Communist China. As a result, he does not put America first. Several examples such as the $60 million given to the U. of Pennsylvania where Biden set up an ancillary office after he left the Vice Presidency in 2017 (where classified documents have been found), his son, Hunter, receiving millions of dollars in money from Communist China for his scam “business” deals and passing it on to Joe by paying a reported $50,000. per month for renting one of Joe’s homes.. Money laundering straight out of the Mafia playbook! What do we do about it while we wait the outcome of the 2024 election?

Governor DeSantis of Florida is again leading the way. He recently announced that he will be working with the legislature to pass a law that would ban Communist China (and any phantom corporate entity) from purchasing real estate, especially agricultural land in Florida. North Carolina should follow suit. A couple of years ago, Smithfield Foods was purchased by a Chinese group centered in Hong Kong. Why on earth would we allow a communist adversary to purchase a main component of our food chain? Insanity if you ask me.

Another issue is Communist China supplying the chemicals to the drug cartels to produce fentanyl which is then smuggled into the United States and has killed hundreds of thousands of Americans over the past few years What are we doing about it? Compromised Joe Biden is doing nothing. In fact, his open border policy is facilitating this death drug. The U.S. Government should be imposing the severest of trade sanctions on Communist China until this is stopped. . Try starting with stopping the export of U.S. coal to China. That
would get their attention!

The final thing is Communist China giving grants to higher education institutions in this country and allowing Chinese citizens to work here on research projects that have high technological value. No Communist
Chinese grants should be allowed into in this country. You know they will want a return on their investment that will be detrimental to American safety, security and technological advancement...
