What part of illegal do these people not understand?
The link below is to a video posted on X by a group of Democrats with prior military and intelligence service. The video is a message to our current military and intelligence service members. It is a reminder that it is okay to disobey an order if the order is unconstitutional. (Actually, the way the video is framed, it is an encouragement to disobey orders). The intelligence people making this video were part of two administrations that illegally spied on American citizens and made up intelligence for political purposes. Those administrations used the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to stop conservative groups from getting tax-exempt status. They sent a S.W.A.T team to arrest a non-violent pro-life protester. They are reminding people of the Constitution now? The military people stood still as the military was quietly purged of people who were patriots and might resist the authoritarian efforts of the President (former President Obama with a pen and a phone, and former President Biden who completely ignored the Supreme Court ruling on student loans) just to give a few examples.
This is the X Post:
We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.
The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.
Don’t give up the ship. pic.twitter.com/N8lW0EpQ7r
— Sen. Elissa Slotkin (@SenatorSlotkin) November 18, 2025
What they are saying is essentially true, but it should include a warning to anyone following their advice that if they are not on solid ground with their claim that an order is unconstitutional, they could wind up in jail.
Here are some of the comments in the video (source here):
In her post on X, Slotkin said the group wanted to speak “directly” to service members, claiming “the American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.”
Kelly, a former Navy pilot, accused the Trump administration of “pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens,” echoing similar claims from Crow and Slotkin.
At several points in the video, Kelly, Slotkin, and Deluzio repeat the line: “You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders.”
Goodlander joined Kelly in reminding viewers that “like us, you swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution.”
One of the comments on X about the video is a picture of Senator Slotkin allegedly on the airplane to Ukraine in 2015 to fire the state prosecutor who was investigating Burisma. This is the caliber of the people who made this video. The other people involved are Senator Mark Kelly, Representative Chris Deluzio, Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, Representative Chrissy Houlahan, and Congressman Jason Crow. All of them need to be disciplined for attempting to create disunity in the military and intelligence communities. As I previously stated, what they are saying is true, the manner in which they are saying it is highly inappropriate.
John F. Kennedy once stated, “Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan.” The mainstream media’s reaction to President Trump’s peace deal and the reaction of some of the prominent Democrat politicians confirms that truth.
Senator Elizabeth posted the following on X:
For two excruciating years, I have called for the return of the hostages brutally kidnapped on October 7th and held in Gaza.
Today is a good day. Surviving Israeli hostages are finally home and reuniting with loved ones. I’m thinking of them and their families on this joyful day and praying for their full recovery. I’m also grieving for all those who can’t come home today.
Today must also be an important step toward lasting peace in the region — peace for both Israelis and Palestinians. We must end the war in Gaza, surge humanitarian aid, and negotiate a two-state solution now.
Did she really think that her words were going to get the hostages released?
This is what former President Obama posted on X:
Notice that he fails to give credit to President Trump. He is still the petty, self-centered person he was as President, only now he is searching for relevance.
On Sunday, The New York Post reported:
Hillary Clinton heaped some rare praise on her former arch-enemy Donald Trump for his handling of the Gaza peace deal in a recent interview.
“I really commend President Trump and his administration,” Clinton told CBS News 24/7 Friday.
“As well as Arab leaders in the region, for making the commitment to the 20-point plan and seeing a path forward for what’s often called the day after,” she added.
Searching for relevance?
It is interesting that President Trump is more popular in Israel than he is in America. The people who were yelling ‘stop the genocide’ have been surprising quiet (as the streets of Gaza erupt in chaos with Hamas killing anyone they believe collaborated with Israel and rival gangs vying for control). I wonder if Hamas has deliberately killed more civilians in Gaza than the Israeli Defense Forces have accidentally killed.
On Sunday, Fox 13 in Utah reported that two men were arrested for leaving an incendiary device under a Fox News 13 vehicle.
The article reports:
MAGNA, Utah — Two men have been arrested after allegedly leaving an incendiary device underneath a FOX 13 News vehicle and then forcing an evacuation of a Magna neighborhood when the FBI served an overnight warrant on their home.
The men, Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31, were booked into jail and face multiple charges, including Threat of Terrorism, Possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Possessing Explosive Devices.
An X post by Collin Rugg reports:
Adeeb Nasir, 58, and Adil Justice Ahmed Nasir, 31 have reportedly been arrested.
The Salt Lake City Police Department Bomb Squad and the Unified Fire Authority Arson/Bomb Squad say a real explosive device was found under the vehicle.
“Police say they found the device placed under a news media vehicle parked next to an occupied building and determined it to be a real explosive device. It “had been lit but failed to function as designed,” according to the affidavit,” KSL reported.
The article at Fox News concludes:
The men were located at the home, and during the search, told investigators that “two hoax weapons of mass destruction” that officials discovered were “real,” the arrest report stated.
Because of the devices, the home was evacuated, as well as nearby homes in the neighborhood.
Although the warrant was issued for the search of evidence related to the incendiary devices found under the FOX 13 News vehicle, law enforcement officials “observed additional contraband and evidence of crimes outside the scope of the original warrant, to include firearms and firearm related items, explosives and explosive-related components, illegal narcotics and associated paraphernalia, as well as electronic devices reasonably believed to contain evidence” of the original device that was discovered.
According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, both men had a protective orders that prohibits them from possessing firearms.
“FOX 13 News is working closely with law-enforcement and our risk management team, with the safety of our employees as our top priority,” said FOX 13 Station Manager Leona Wood.
One of the men is listed as born in Utah; the other man is listed as having been born in Pakistan.
On Tuesday, Hot Air reported:
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is going to meet with the Syrian Foreign Minister on Thursday in Turkey.
President Trump will greet Ahmed Al-Sharaa in Riyadh tomorrow.
My favorite quote from the article:
Trump will talk to anyone who sincerely wants to talk to him. It’s like his magic power.
Ahmed Al Sharaa has been serving as President of Syria since January of this year. He is from a Sunni Muslim family.
The article notes that he has not been an exemplary leader so far:
By the beginning of March, it was pretty clear a jihadi leader now using his given name – Ahmed Al Sharaa – in a $4000 suit was still a jihadi at heart. Al-Sharaa’s boys were having themselves the rampaging adventures of a lifetime, systematically exterminating Druze and Alawite communities all over northern Syria with impunity. Oh – and trying to find the five or six Jews left in the country.
We haven’t heard much out of the area since, except for reports that detail American and Israeli strikes on targets in the area. Most associated with the ongoing cat and mouse game the Houthis had been playing and the assorted Iranian militias supporting them, who operate freely all through the southern portion of Iraq, Yemen, and Syria, as President Trump noted during his speech in Saudi Arabia today.
I applaud President Trump providing an avenue for Al-Sharaa to reform, but I am skepticall. Any time you are dealing with an Islamist, you need to consider the Islamic concept of taqiyya. This is a concept in Islamic law that translates as “deceit or dissimulation,” particularly toward infidels. It is generally described as lying for the sake of Islam.
However, there may be some possible rewards for making nice to Syria.
To quote Shaun Maguire on X:
This also helps keep Turkey on the spot because, should Al-Sharaa start to see the fruits of cooperation with the US pay off and Syria begins to rise from the dead, he becomes a hero, and there’s nothing more these egotists love than being loved. He won’t let Erdogan interfere with that, whatever he owes him.
The other is the pressure from Saudi Arabia on Syria now. They facilitated this come to Trump moment. The crown prince would take it ill if the jihadi reappeared after making a public spectacle of the Saudis’ belief that he was worth cultivating and his country worth saving.
The Saudis do not take embarrassment lightly.
This is going to be interesting to watch. It would be wonderful to see the Middle East break out in peace.
On Friday, Newsmax reported that Walmart is considering leaving Delaware as the state of its incorporation.
The article reports:
Walmart is among the latest and biggest companies considering leaving Delaware as its location of incorporation.
A small group of corporate attorneys last month told Delaware legislators that blue-chip companies including Walmart were considering moving their corporate legal residences out of the state, Semafor reported.
The news is said to have Delaware’s political and business leaders reeling.
The small state of Delaware with just over 1 million people derives more than one-third of its state budget from corporate legal fees, not to mention the far greater impact corporation business has on the economy.
There is a reason for this exodus:
Billionaire Elon Musk began the corporate stampede when he moved multiple companies out of Delaware, including Tesla, SpaceX and Neuralink.
The move came after Delaware Chancellor Judge Kathaleen McCormick, a Democrat, ordered Musk to give up a compensation package valued at $55.8 billion, though it was twice approved by shareholders.
The ruling followed McCormick’s January 2024 decision that called the Musk pay package excessive and rescinded it.
The move surprised investors and cast uncertainty of the state’s long-held position as a neutral corporate arbiter.
Despite painting Musk’s compensation as greedy, McCormick did award the trial lawyers who sued Musk a staggering $345 million for their legal filings.
At issue for Musk, Fortune 500 CEOs and entrepreneurs across the U.S. is that the Delaware Court of Chancery has become a haven for shareholder lawsuits and left-wing judicial activism.
Musk was not happy with McCormick’s ruling and took to X, writing, “Shareholders should control company votes, not judges.”
Another Musk repost stated: “Things to do in Delaware: 1) Leave.”
Musk has also urged other companies to quit Delaware as well.
“Never incorporate your company in the state of Delaware,” Musk wrote on X.
The courts should not be able to override the wishes of the stockholders in a privately held company. Actions have consequences.
This is the statement Matt Gaetz posted on X:
I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday. I appreciate their thoughtful feedback – and the incredible support of so many. While the momentum was strong, it is clear that my confirmation was unfairly becoming a distraction to the critical work of the Trump/Vance Transition. There is no time to waste on a needlessly protracted Washington scuffle, thus I’ll be withdrawing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General. Trump’s DOJ must be in place and ready on Day 1. I remain fully committed to see that Donald J. Trump is the most successful President in history. I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice and I’m certain he will Save America.
I have no doubt that Matt Gaetz would make a great Attorney General. I also would not be surprised if there were some skeletons in his closet. However, I would challenge anyone to find three people in Washington without skeletons in their closet. I am disappointed that he is dropping out. Had the Republicans united behind him as one of President Trump’s picks, he would have been approved. Even when their candidate wins the popular vote and the Electoral College, the Republicans forget that they have a spine.
As Don Surber recently stated:
The big hubbub in DC is over Trump’s selection of Matt Gaetz as his attorney general, who does not meet Washington’s standards.
Those standards include Eric Holder who openly defied a congressional subpoena, Loretta Lynch who discussed Hillary’s case with Bill in plain sight days before the dropping all charges against his wife, and the detestable Merrick Garland who jailed hundreds of Trump supporters.
DC fears retribution for a decade of prosecutorial persecution of Trump and his team.
Pam Bondi has been nominated as Attorney General. Hopefully the deep state will not be successful in ending that nomination. If Republicans continue to cave to unproven scandals, the unproven scandals will continue. It should be noted that the Justice Department investigated Matt Gaetz for years and never filed charges. Do you think they would have filed charges if they had a case?
On Thursday, The Conservative Treehouse posted an article about British efforts to influence the upcoming presidential election.
The article includes this screenshot:
The article notes:
The left-leaning Labour Party won a majority in the Parliament in July, toppling the Conservative government and making Labour leader Keir Starmer the new prime minister.
In a post originally published on LinkedIn calling for more volunteers, Sofia Patel, head of operations for the Labour Party, wrote, “I have nearly 100 Labour Party staff (current and former) going to the US in the next few weeks heading to North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia.”
“I have 10 spots available for anyone available to head to the battleground state of North Carolina – we will sort your housing,” she added. (read more)
GB News reported, “Confirmation of a Labour campaign push raises doubts about the Prime Minister’s previously neutral stance on the 2024 US Presidential Election.”
It is worth remembering the British intelligence operation (Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), commonly known as MI6) was at the center of the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy in 2016.
This is not acceptable.
