As The Israeli War Continues

As the war in Gaza continues, we need to remember what started the war and what was celebrated in Gaza when the war began. On Friday, The American Thinker posted an article that provides some perspective.

The article reports:

Among the heart-breaking scenes from the Middle-East are video reports showing civilian casualties of the current war.  In the West, we cringe at those images, especially the ones showing small children — dead, grievously wounded, or orphaned.

In Gaza, there seems to be little reciprocity of sympathy.  Newsmax reports that more than seventy percent of Gazans approve of the October 7 attack on Israel, in which more than 1,200 Israelis were killed, many by unspeakable torture.  More than eighty percent deny that the atrocities were committed, even after watching the videos sadistically, and boastfully, recorded by the terrorists themselves.  This reminds us of the self-contradiction that might be stated as “We did not commit the crimes, and we are glad that we did.”

This is a case of not cognitive dissonance, but rather moral depravity.  It is lethal hypocrisy.  In seeking to justify acts of evil, the evildoers soon discover that neither have they justification for them, nor do they need it.

Antisemites declare that every Jew should be killed.  The rest of us do not have that same genocidal fervor toward Palestinians.  While antisemites insist that there are no innocent Jews, sane people recognize that some Palestinians are indeed innocent of terrorism.  I recall a news item from years ago in which a Palestinian immigrant to the U.S. explained his reason for leaving his homeland: the people there are crazy, he said, and worse, they demand that all Palestinians join with them in their insanity.  We do not want that for our children.  We want them to live.

It should also be noted that the money given to create a self-sustaining economy in Gaza was instead spent on tunnels and weapons. Somehow the focus in Gaza has always been on killing Jews–even the kindergarten classes are involved (article here). As long as Arab children in Gaza are taught that martyrdom and killing Jews are a goal, there is no point in even considering a two-state solution. Gaza must be tightly controlled until that point (if it ever comes) when generational hatred is no longer the dominant way of thinking.

On Wednesday, Jazz Shaw Hot Air posted an article with the following headline?

Is Biden Out of the Loop on Israel-Hamas Negotiations?

The article then goes on to explain why Jazz Shaw is asking this question:

You’ve probably seen the breathless headlines emerging this week featuring Joe Biden suggesting that a ceasefire deal in Gaza was “close” to being finalized and that at least some hostages and prisoners could be exchanged. Most of us would likely be glad to see hostages coming home, so that’s good news, right? And Biden assured us that he’d gotten that information from National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, so the claim must have been pretty solid. There’s only one problem with the story and the assumptions that followed, though. As the Free Beacon quickly pointed out, some reporters had been following up with their sources in Israel and around the Middle East where the major players are involved. None of them seemed to have any idea what Biden was talking about. 

Anyone who has paid attention for the past eighteen plus years understands why a cease fire and a two-state solution are both bad ideas. What assurance has HAMAS given that the hostages are still alive and what has HAMAS done to indicate it is willing to release them? A cease fire would only give Hamas a chance to regroup and rearm, and a two-state solution would create another terror base for Islamist extremists. It has become very obvious since October 7th and Israel’s response that almost all of the ‘humanitarian aid’ sent to Gaza since 2005 has been used to build tunnels and acquire weapons. Why would we give the residents of Gaza a chance to do that again? Many have already stated that they want to repeat the actions of October 7th. Why would we encourage or allow that? Until hate is not taught in Gaza schools and UNRWA camps (see kindergarten graduation picture here), a two-state solution will never result in peace.

The article at Hot Air concludes:

I have seen some conservative commentators previously asking why the United States isn’t assuming its traditional role as a peacemaker and shepherding these negotiations through to the finish line. But does anyone really want Joe Biden at that table at this point? The two sides are at an impasse and have been for a while now. Israel isn’t going to accept a deal that hurts their interests, fails to release all of the hostages, or prevents them from eliminating Hamas. Hamas won’t give up what they see as the last bit of insurance they have against complete obliteration. 

Negotiating this situation would have been a serious challenge for Henry Kissinger on his best day. And Joe Biden couldn’t have matched Kissinger’s skills on his best day, which has long since faded in the rearview mirror. But the fact that he keeps coming out and saying things like this, leaving the media scrambling to either verify it or explain what went wrong is a problem. The world is a powderkeg at the moment and the person potentially in control of the fuse no longer has the cognitive abilities to be trusted with a pack of matches.

Why The Two-State Solution Is A Fallacy

As I have stated in a previous article:  When Israel became a nation in May 1948, it was promptly invaded by all of its Arab neighbors. Israel was not able to maintain control of the entire city of Jerusalem, and part of the city fell into Arab hands and was controlled by Jordan. From 1948-1967 Jews were denied access to their holy sites by the Jordanians. In 1967, when Israel regained control of the entire city of Jerusalem, Christians, Jews, and Muslims were all given access to their holy sites. That is one illustration of the difference in the way Jews treat Arabs and the way Arabs treat Jews.

That article included the following picture of a Palestinian kindergarten class:

These children are being trained to grow up and be martyrs and drive Israel into the sea.

On Saturday, The Daily Caller reported:

An Israeli father and son were both critically injured after a 13-year-old Palestinian boy allegedly shot them in Jerusalem Saturday, one day after an attack on a synagogue killed seven. 

The father and son, ages 47 and 23 respectively, were reportedly shot in the historic district of the city by a 13-year old boy who was himself overpowered and shot by two armed passers-by who witnessed the incident, according to the Associated Press.

Police quickly swarmed the area and escorted the wounded teen away from the scene on a stretcher and transported him to a hospital where he is currently being detained, the outlet reported.

The boy who did the shooting was 13. If you would like to understand how a child terrorist is trained, I would suggest reading THE BLOOD OF LAMBS by Kamal Saleem. Mr. Saleem came to America as a terrorist and is now a Christian sharing how his life was dramatically changed by caring Christians in Tennessee. Mr. Saleem was trained as a child terrorist and actually sent on a suicide mission as a child. He also met Yasser Arafat as a child. The only hope for peace in the Middle East is people like Mr. Saleem who trade their terrorism for peace.

 

Who Paid For The Rockets?

The Post Millennial posted an article today about the ongoing rocket attacks on Israel.

The article reports:

Just over a month ago, the Biden administration announced $235 million in US aid to Palestinians, and on Tuesday, Hamas launched a heavy rocket attack on Israel.

…The White House issued a milquetoast response to Tuesday’s violence. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that “Jerusalem, a city of such importance to people of faith around the world, must be a place of coexistence.”

Has the White House noticed that when Jerusalem is under Israel’s control, Christians, Muslims, and Jews all have access to their religion’s holy sites? When Jerusalem is under Muslim control, only Muslims have access to their religious sites.

The article notes:

The funding authorized by Biden called for “$150 million through the United Nations relief agency UNRWA, $75 million in US economic and development assistance and $10 million for peace-building programs,” Blinken said in a statement regarding the reversal of Trump’s funding cuts.

UNWRA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) “provides aid and relief services to around 5.7 million registered Palestinian refugees in the occupied West Bank, Gaza Strip and across the Middle East.”

Biden administration spokesperson Edward Price said in April when the funding was restored that funding Palestinians supports “Israeli Palestinian understanding,” and that it “aligns with the interests of the United States.”

Let’s quickly examine the problems with a two-state solution. In 2012 I posted an article that included the following picture of a kindergarten graduation ceremony in Gaza.

These children are being taught that it is their duty to become martyrs and free Jerusalem from Jewish control. As long as those concepts are being taught in Arab schools, there can be no two-state solution. It is foolishness to negotiate with people who want to kill you and take over your country.

The article concludes:

The Biden administration in April also “signaled that they want to re-establish the goal of a negotiated two-state solution as a priority in US policy on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” Reuters reported.

On Tuesday, Blinken reflected that sentiment, saying that “Israelis and Palestinians need to be able to live in safety and security, as well as enjoy equal measures of freedom, security, prosperity, and democracy.”

Trump in 2018 had blocked almost all of the aid that Biden has now restored, and halted all ties with the Palestinian Authority. Trump’s decision was preceded by Palestinian leaders refusing to work with the Trump administration’s Middle East peace efforts after the US moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv, which suffered under Hamas assault on Tuesday, to Jerusalem.

The people currently raining rockets down on Israel do not want peace. They want the destruction of Israel so that they can claim Israeli land as their own.

The House Of Representatives Accomplished Something Good

On Tuesday The Hill posted an article about the vote in the U.S. House of Representatives on the bill titled, “Opposing efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel and the Global Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement targeting Israel.” A similar bill was introduced in the Senate, but was referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations on March 25, 2019. No further action has been taken on the Senate bill.

The final vote was 398 yeas, 17 nays, 5 voting present, and 12 not voting. (The numbers are from the U.S. House of Representatives website.)

The article at The Hill notes:

The resolution’s opponents included progressive freshmen Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), who support the BDS movement.

House Democratic leaders brought the resolution to the floor under a fast-track process that required a two-thirds majority for passage and limited debate to 40 minutes. No one spoke in opposition to the resolution during the allotted debate, but the two progressives delivered floor speeches earlier in the day to express why they’d vote against it.

Tlaib, citing her family’s Palestinian roots, said she “can’t stand by and watch this attack on our freedom of speech and the right to boycott the racist policies of the government in the state of Israel.”

Someone should point out to Tlaib that Palestinians have full rights in Israel. They are more free and more prosperous than the Palestinians that live anywhere outside of Israel.

The article continues:

Lawmakers opposed to BDS stressed that the boycott movement against Israel is unlike other boycotts in American history, arguing that it espouses anti-Semitic views and undermines the prospects for peace in the long-running Palestinian conflict

“Here’s the thing about the global BDS movement: I don’t believe it promotes racial justice or social change at all. It promotes a one-sided view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that seeks to marginalize Israel, that would deny the Jewish people the right of national self-determination,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) said during floor debate.

“You want to criticize a government, that’s your right. You want to stop buying products from a certain country, that’s also your right. But participating in an international commercial effort that undermines Israel’s legitimacy and scuttles the chances of a two-state solution isn’t the same as an individual exercising First Amendment rights,” Engel added.

Unfortunately, the Palestinians have illustrated the fact in recent years that they are not interested in becoming a positive member of the global community. In 2005 Israel removed its settlers from the Gaza Strip and turned the land over to the Arabs. Up until that point the Gaza Strip was the home of greenhouses that supplied fruit and vegetables around the world and had a flourishing economy. The first thing the Arabs did was destroy the greenhouses (and thus destroyed the basis for the thriving economy). Since that time the Gaza Strip has been used as a base for firing rockets and building terrorist tunnels into Israel. Money given to the Arabs that was earmarked for humanitarian purposes has been instead used to buy weapons and build tunnels. The Palestinians do not want to exist peacefully in a two-state solution–they want to destroy Israel.

The following is taken from an article I posted in January 2018:

Until the Palestinians stop training their children to kill Jews, there will be no peace in the Middle East. The BDS Movement is simply another way to attack Israel. I am glad most of the House of Representatives understood that.

This School Is Guilty Of Child Abuse

The fad of the day is transgender children. Not only have we sexualized little girls from a very young age, now we are telling children that they can be whatever sex they choose (I guess we have forgotten DNA). This has been carried to an extreme in the early years of school, where children are expected to understand things they are simply not equipped to understand, and then are punished for making an innocent mistake.

Yesterday Townhall posted an article about a little girl in First Grade at a California charter school who was sent to the Principal’s office because she addressed a transgendered classmate by the wrong pronoun. Such events are now being labeled as ‘pronoun mishaps.’ Good grief!

The article reports:

The incident occurred at Rocklin Academy, a school rocked by controversy after a kindergarten teacher led an in-class discussion on transgenderism that included a “gender reveal” for a little boy who was transitioning to a little girl.

…The latest incident occurred during the first week of school when a first grader came across a classmate on the playground. She called the student by his given name – apparently unaware that the boy now identified as a girl.

“This innocent little first grader sees a classmate, calls him by the name she knew him last year and the boy reports it to a teacher,” Capitol Resource Institute’s Karen England told me. “The little girl gets in trouble on the playground and then gets called out of class to the principal’s office.”

Capitol Resource Institute is a California-based public policy group that specializes in strengthening families. And they are working with a number of parents at Rocklin Academy upset about the LGBT agenda being forced on their children.

…England said the first grader was investigated by the principal to determine whether or not she had bullied the transgender child by calling him by his original name. After about an hour it was determined the little girl made an honest mistake and she was not punished or reprimanded.

But she was terribly traumatized by the incident, England said.

This is child abuse. There is a difference between an adult making the decision to become transgender (although the medical profession has differences of opinion on whether this is a mental disorder or a valid activity) and a kindergartner becoming transgender. I am convinced that when a very young child decides to become transgender, it has more to do with the influence of the parents than the desires of the child. We also need to realize that children go through stages of development that may cause them to identify with a different sex at a different time. Tomboys used to be allowed to outgrow the tomboy stage. Now I am not so sure that they won’t be encouraged to make a permanent change in response to a temporary situation. I firmly believe that all transgender activity should be illegal until age 18. At that point, a more rational decision should be possible.

 

American Educators Have Totally Lost Their Minds

On Tuesday, The Washington Post posted an article about a school in New York that cancelled its annual year-end kindergarten show.

Dear Kindergarten Parents and Guardians,

We hope this letter serves to help you better understand how the demands of the 21st century are changing schools, and, more specifically, to clarify, misperceptions about the Kindergarten show. It is most important to keep in mind is [sic] that this issue is not unique to Elwood. Although the movement toward more rigorous learning standards has been in the national news for more than a decade, the changing face of education is beginning to feel unsettling for some people. What and how we teach is changing to meet the demands of a changing world.

The reason for eliminating the Kindergarten show is simple. We are responsible for preparing children for college and career with valuable lifelong skills and know that we can best do that by having them become strong readers, writers, coworkers and problem solvers. Please do not fault us for making professional decisions that we know will never be able to please everyone. But know that we are making these decisions with the interests of all children in mind.

The elementary school my children attended did a lot of plays. The plays were a chance for children to work on their memorization skills, their singing skills (if they had them) and to learn about different things. There were plays about outer space, Mary Poppins, and Alice in Wonderland. Those plays were part of their learning experience. It is a shame these teachers have decided that participating in the arts is not valuable for children–it is.

Missing The Forest For The Trees

Yesterday I posted an article at rightwinggranny.com about the plans Hamas had for the tunnel system it had built into Israel. The plans included explosions under kindergartens and the slaughter of kindergarten school children. After thinking about that for a while, I realized that in spite of all I have written about the war between Israel and Hamas, there are some very basic things that I did not understand.

The article I posted included Hamas’ plans for the tunnel system:

Israeli security sources, citing information acquired in interrogations of captured brigands, described a scenario under which hundreds of heavily armed Hamas fighters would have spilled out into Israel in the dead of night and within 10 minutes been positioned to infiltrate essentially all Israeli communities surrounding the Gaza Strip.  Waiting then in hiding until schools and kindergartens were occupied, the terrorists would then attempt to kill the children first, and then kill and kidnap as many Israelis as possible.  The plot was set to take place during Jewish New Year, on September 24.

Think about that for a minute. This is not a war about territory. Hamas wants the land, but more than that they want to kill all of the people in the land—children included. Their intention is to eliminate the Jewish people in Israel. This is genocide. This is what Hitler intended. After Hitler, the world said, “Never again.” Did we mean it?

This is not an ordinary war. This is a war in which the people of Israel are fighting to live. Hamas in Gaza needs to be dealt with the same way that Hitler was dealt with—they need to be taken out of power, tried for war crimes, and their supporters put in jail. Hamas was elected—the people in Gaza knew what Hamas was and voted for them anyway. I don’t trust the United Nations to set up a neutral government in Gaza, but control of Gaza has to be taken away from Hamas and other similar terrorist groups.

The criticism of Israel’s military action in Gaza needs to stop. The criticism is coming from people who either don’t understand what is actually going on or have a political agenda. The amount of propaganda coming from Hamas makes it very difficult to realize that Israel is fighting for the lives of its people. Israel did not begin this war, but in the interests of the people in Israel, it has to end the war with the total defeat of Hamas.
