The Heart Of The Matter

On Friday, The Daily Signal posted an article listing three major discoveries in the investigation of the Russia Hoax.

The article lists the first of the three as ‘A Team Sport,’ reporting:

“I know that this activity is on a fast-track,” Rogers (National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers) wrote. Yet he expressed “concerns,” such as whether his team “had sufficient access to the underlying intelligence and sufficient time to review that intelligence.”

“I know that you agree that this is something we need to be 100% comfortable with before we present it to the President—we have one chance to get this right, and it is critical that we do so.”

…Clapper (then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper) responded by stating that “it is essential we … be on the same page, and are all supportive of the report—in the highest tradition of ‘that’s OUR story, and we’re stickin’ to it.’”

The article includes a screenshot of the email Director Rogers sent to DNI Clapper. As more information comes to light, I think we are going to see Mike Rogers as a hero in this mess.

The second discovery was the leaking of classified information in an attempt to indict President Trump.

The article notes:

According to a June 2023 FBI memo, Schiff approved leaking classified information to smear Trump.

The staffer told the FBI that “SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.”

One attendee of the meeting “stated this would be illegal and, upon hearing his concerns, unnamed members of the meeting reassured [him] that they would not be caught leaking classified information.”

There was no concern for the legality of what they were doing–only a concern for whether or not they would get caught.

The third item the stopping of an investigation into the Clinton Foundation.

The article reports:

On Wednesday, Just the News published another declassified memo from 2017, a timeline revealing how top-level intelligence officials directed the suppression of an investigation into the Clinton Foundation during the 2016 election. According to the timeline, analysts attempted to investigate claims of a Clinton Foundation pay-to-play corruption scheme in August 2015, based on the reporting in Peter Schweizer’s book “Clinton Cash,” published that May.

When agents inquired about the investigation, their superiors said other agents were already investigating the matter.

Yet superiors like former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates prevented an investigation, according to the timeline.

If nothing else, the article at The Daily Signal illustrates the reason we have to clean house in the intelligence agencies in Washington. I hope the Trump administration is up to the task.

Applying The Statute Of Limitations

On Sunday, The Daily Caller posted an article explaining how the Statute of Limitations applies to the potential case against the former Obama intelligence officials who obstructed the investigation and concealed evidence in the Russia Hoax.

The article reports:

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett said Sunday that the clock began “ticking” on a potential case being brought against former Obama intelligence officials for obstruction the moment “deliberately concealed evidence” was discovered by the Trump administration.

The Russia investigation, which alleged President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia to sway the election in his favor, received new scrutiny in July after the FBI reportedly placed former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan under criminal investigation. With allegations and new intelligence surfacing about how Comey, Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper played a role in targeting the Trump campaign, Jarrett was asked by “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo if he believed the Department of Justice (DOJ) “will act” and whether “the statute of limitations apply to conspiracy or not.”

“I would say yes to all three. This does look like a broad criminal conspiracy by unscrupulous officials, dishonest people. I would look at conspiracy to defraud the government, deprivation of rights under color of law, but importantly, obstruction of justice and the cover up,” Jarrett said. “The elaborate cover up has been going on for years, as Stephen Miller pointed out, which extends the statute of limitations in any conspiracy case against malign actors. That’s because the clock begins ticking when deliberately concealed evidence is discovered, which is actually quite recently.”

“So, for example, you were talking about the burn bags that were discovered incriminating documents hidden at the FBI, as well as other records, hard drives squirreled away under lock and key by Comey recently found,” Jarrett added. “So attempting to conceal or destroy evidence relevant to investigations, that’s obstruction. The last overt act in a conspiracy starts the clock anew. So that’s the value of bringing a conspiracy case that includes obstruction.”

If the information we are receiving is proven to be correct, the people involved belong in jail. If we do not deal with this type of illegal behavior, it will continue. There have to be consequences for the illegal actions.

Sleight Of Hand At Its Best

The Trump Russia Hoax is in the headlines because of new information and new whistleblowers. But sometimes the press (mainstream and otherwise) overlooks the read purpose of the hoax. When President Trump was elected the first time, the hoax was no longer useful in preventing him from being elected. The hoax had some value as a way to hamstring his administration and tie them down with lawsuits and other baseless things (which it did), but why did it continue for so long? Possibly because it was working, but there is another reason.

On Saturday, Townhall reported:

It’s over, man. Over. The Russian collusion hoax has been so thoroughly exposed, so stripped down to the bare bones, that it’s now just as pathetic as it is disconcerting. The largest intelligence operation in American history was used against us—and for what? To cover Hillary Clinton’s botched use of an unsecured server while she served as Barack Obama’s top diplomat. Since the server was unsecured, it was likely hacked, and files were retrieved. Democrats needed to take action to launch countermeasures.

There was no file on Donald Trump from the Russians, but they did have one on Ms. Clinton. Former Rolling Stone contributing editor Matt Taibbi had a damning post summarizing all the document dumps that have occurred over the past few days—all of which point to a cover-up and Obama’s people working vigorously to set up Mr. Trump to get Hillary out of a jam.

Racket News reports:

Now, we know. With the help of the declassified Durham material, we can explain the whole affair in three brushstrokes.

One, Hillary Clinton and her team apparently hoped to deflect from her email scandal and other problems via a campaign tying Trump to Putin. Two, American security services learned of these plans. Three — and this is the most important part — instead of outing them, authorities used state resources to massively expand and amplify her scheme. The last stage required the enthusiastic cooperation and canine incuriosity of the entire commercial news business, which cheered as conspirators made an enforcement target of Trump, actually an irrelevant bystander.

I don’t know what the statute of limitations is on some of these crimes, but if we are to have ‘equal justice under the law,’ every person involved in this scheme needs to go to jail.

The Files In The Burn Bags

We now have the smoking gun(s) on the Russia Hoax and the Hillary Clinton email scandal. The documents hidden in the back room have been declassified and made public. Whether or not anyone will be held accountable remains to be seen. Someone who I consider a reliable source experienced in handling classified material told me that he believes the documents were saved on purpose by a future whistleblower. Because of the the procedure for dealing with classified information, that makes sense. Normally all no-longer-needed classified information is put in a burn bag and incinerated daily. The security officer on site is supposed to make sure all of it burns before he leaves the premises.

On Thursday, Townhall posted an article about some of the information that has been declassified.

Some highlights from the article:

First, we have George Soros ties, with emails from Open Society Foundations Regional Director Leonard Bernardo that were authentic, which spoke to the Trump-Russia collusion narrative being used against the then-incoming president. The Obama FBI never investigated this angle. Moreover, as Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) noted in his press release about the annex, no investigative steps were taken to follow up on any leads related to Russiagate. The answer is simple: they were all in on peddling this operation.

Second, while Barack Obama ordered the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, Hillary Clinton also signed off on using the Russian collusion hoax to attack Trump. Obama-Clinton—quite the gruesome twosome.

The article concludes:

James Clapper seems to be the only member of this plot who has knowingly admitted to lawyering up. Brennan, Obama, and Clinton should be next. They should be charged, especially Brennan, who likely committed perjury in his May 2017 testimony, where he said the Steele Dossier “wasn’t part of the corpus of intelligence information that we had. It was not in any way used as a basis for the Intelligence Community Assessment that was done.”

DNI Tulsi Gabbard set that narrative aflame, nuking it from orbit with her document disclosures. This was a seditious conspiracy, and the media is just as culpable. Without them, this operation dies quickly. We should demand more documents, but for now, we have enough to charge people.

Obama has already been referred to the DOJ for potential prosecution.

We may never get accountability, but we can consume a lot of popcorn watching the show.

Those Who Fail To Learn The Lessons Of History…

Watergate was a third-rate burglary that developed into a Constitutional Crisis. Some of the burglars (possibly all but one) were CIA operatives. Don’t you think they could have done a better job? The deep state, which even existed then, didn’t like President Nixon. He was not ‘part of the club’ that ran Washington and thus was a danger to ‘the club.’ The Watergate burglary was a setup that the media and the deep state used to remove President Nixon. Archibald Cox was appointed as the Special Prosecutor to investigate the matter. He was a close friend of the Kennedy family (some of whom attended his swearing in) at a time when Senator Ted Kennedy was considered a Presidential candidate. Appointing a Special Prosecutor kept the story in the news and allowed the media to boost the importance of the story.  There were televised hearings which also kept the story in the media. The major newspapers had a story about Watergate above the fold almost every day. Watergate was the first story reported on the three major news broadcasts. That won’t happen with the Russia Hoax, but there is a template that we can follow.

Let’s have hearings on the Russia Hoax. Let’s see where the testimony (including past testimony) conflicts with the newly declassified documents. Let’s uphold the laws about lying under oath or lying to Congress. We should also remember that ignoring a subpoena during the Biden administration resulted in jail time. Shouldn’t the same rule apply during the Trump administration?

The Democrats are hoping that they can stall any hearings until 2027. They are hoping to gain enough seats in the mid-term elections to have majorities in the House and Senate so that they can bury this entire episode. Whether or not that will happen will be up to the American voters.

The Watergate template would also allow for a pardon for President Obama and jail time for his co-conspirators. The Russia Hoax is considerably more serious that Watergate and is part of a pattern of abuse by the Obama administration, so in the interest of preventing future government abuses of power, longer prison sentences may be necessary.

This is a pivotal moment for America. Do our laws apply equally to everyone or do powerful people get a pass when they abuse their power?

Stay tuned.

Exactly What Do The Declassified Documents Show?

Conservative media is overflowing with stories about the document dump about the Russia Hoax. The mainstream media, not so much. There are some things that are revealed in the documents declassified that might be troubling to some of the people who were in power in 2016 and early 2017.

On Monday, The Federalist reported:

Internal emails released on Friday by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reveal that after former President Barack Obama ordered an intelligence assessment of Russia’s election influence, a top official in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence scuttled the release of an already-completed intelligence report that concluded Russian had not hacked the 2016 presidential election.

On Friday, Director Gabbard released newly declassified documents, including scores of emails related to a 7-page draft President’s Daily Brief or PDB. That draft PDB, dated December 8, 2016, concluded, “Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent US election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against election infrastructure.” But hours before the planned publication of the PDB, the ODNI’s deputy director pulled the report, purportedly due to “some new guidance.”

However, the email threads declassified last week indicate the ODNI instead buried the PDB to provide the intelligence community cover to issue a contrary assessment concerning Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election — and did so, against the recommendations of a wide array of intelligence professionals.

Specifically, on Thursday, December 8, 2016, the “Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Cyber Issues” for ODNI responded to an earlier email from the Deputy Director of ODNI concerning the publication of the PDB. “The room’s thoughts (EEMC, NIO Russia, CTIIC, NSA, FBI, CCI) were that it was worth going ahead with the pdb if possible now to provide our current understanding of what happened during the election, and that worst case the ICA has some language and an associated briefer note explaining any changes between the products.”

I am not sure exactly how much of this activity is illegal or if anyone will ever be held accountable for their lies. However, the value of getting it out there is vindication for those of us who have watched the lies the media has told be accepted as fact. I don’t expect apologies from my friends and family who hate President Trump, but it feels good to know that my research in the alternative media has been more accurate than the reporting by the mainstream media.

I Guess The Truth No Longer Matters In Reporting

On Monday, Breitbart reported that Pulitzer Prize Board would not be rescinding its Pulitzer Prizes given to The New York Times and The Washington Post for its reporting on the Russia hoax. Evidently the fact that the awards were given for articles that later proved to be false did not enter into the decision.

The article notes:

These inquiries prompted the Pulitzer Board to commission two independent reviews of the work submitted by those organizations to our National Reporting competition,” the board continued before announcing the establishment media outlets will keep their prizes.

“The separate reviews converged in their conclusions: that no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes,” the board claimed.

In total, 20 articles were challenged with formal complaints. All 20 were ruled factual by the Pulitzer Prize Board. The questioned articles include the following titles:

    • FBI was to pay author of Trump dossier (WaPo)
    • Trump reveals secret intelligence to Russians (WaPo)
    • Trump crafted son’s statement on Russian contact (WaPo)
    • Trump’s Son Heard of Link To Moscow Before Meeting  (NYT)
    • Emails Disclose Trump Son’s Glee At Russian Offer (NYT)
    • Unlikely Source Propelled Russian Meddling Inquiry (NYT)
    • Undisclosed On Forms, Kushner Met 2 Russians (NYT)

Despite claims by Democrats and establishment media reports that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, those claims were found to be baseless. In March of 2019, the Mueller report found no evidence Donald Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

So if I report that there is a tyrannosaurus rex in my backyard and it’s Trump’s fault, and I win a Pulitzer Prize for my report, I don’t have to give back the Prize when it turns out the report is false? Wow. Journalism has taken some interesting turns lately.
