More Information On Bad Behavior By The Biden Justice Department

On Sunday, Just the News posted an article regarding a recently uncovered memo about the raid on Mar-a-Lago.

The article reports:

A top Biden Justice Department official and key ally of then-Attorney General Merrick Garland raised legal “concerns” about the FBI’s raid on Mar-Lago, warning that then-former President Donald Trump may have actually declassified the records seized by agents, a newly-unearthed email obtained by Just the News shows.

Patty Stemler, a decades-long DOJ veteran who was reportedly picked by Garland in 2022 to help consult on Trump-related cases, sent an email just two days after the bureau’s Aug. 8, 2022 raid of Trump’s Florida resort home, where Stemler said she had “a few concerns.”

Stemler sent the email to Sophia Brill, a future Biden White House lawyer and then an attorney inside DOJ’s National Security Division, which played a central role in this anti-Trump inquiry.

The memo was recently discovered by the Justice Department as part of its investigation into the weaponization of federal law enforcement.

“I didn’t know about this search in advance, but I have been worrying about it ever since and worrying more now,” Stemler wrote to Brill on Aug. 10, 2022. “Doesn’t Trump maintain that he had the authority to declassify documents while he was still President?

“Has anyone in NSD or OLC [Office of Legal Counsel] looked at that? I know we have procedures for declassifying, but is the President as Commander in Chief bound by those procedures? We also have procedures for granting pardons, but the President doesn’t have to follow them,” she added.

President Trump claimed that he had declassified the documents. The argument is about whether or not he had the power to do that. At any rate, those conducting the search should have had a detailed warrant as to what they were looking for and where they were authorized to look. Looking for classified documents in Barron Trump’s room or Melania’s private spaces was harassment–not a search covered by a warrant.

Those Who Fail To Learn The Lessons Of History…

Watergate was a third-rate burglary that developed into a Constitutional Crisis. Some of the burglars (possibly all but one) were CIA operatives. Don’t you think they could have done a better job? The deep state, which even existed then, didn’t like President Nixon. He was not ‘part of the club’ that ran Washington and thus was a danger to ‘the club.’ The Watergate burglary was a setup that the media and the deep state used to remove President Nixon. Archibald Cox was appointed as the Special Prosecutor to investigate the matter. He was a close friend of the Kennedy family (some of whom attended his swearing in) at a time when Senator Ted Kennedy was considered a Presidential candidate. Appointing a Special Prosecutor kept the story in the news and allowed the media to boost the importance of the story.  There were televised hearings which also kept the story in the media. The major newspapers had a story about Watergate above the fold almost every day. Watergate was the first story reported on the three major news broadcasts. That won’t happen with the Russia Hoax, but there is a template that we can follow.

Let’s have hearings on the Russia Hoax. Let’s see where the testimony (including past testimony) conflicts with the newly declassified documents. Let’s uphold the laws about lying under oath or lying to Congress. We should also remember that ignoring a subpoena during the Biden administration resulted in jail time. Shouldn’t the same rule apply during the Trump administration?

The Democrats are hoping that they can stall any hearings until 2027. They are hoping to gain enough seats in the mid-term elections to have majorities in the House and Senate so that they can bury this entire episode. Whether or not that will happen will be up to the American voters.

The Watergate template would also allow for a pardon for President Obama and jail time for his co-conspirators. The Russia Hoax is considerably more serious that Watergate and is part of a pattern of abuse by the Obama administration, so in the interest of preventing future government abuses of power, longer prison sentences may be necessary.

This is a pivotal moment for America. Do our laws apply equally to everyone or do powerful people get a pass when they abuse their power?

Stay tuned.

Exactly What Do The Declassified Documents Show?

Conservative media is overflowing with stories about the document dump about the Russia Hoax. The mainstream media, not so much. There are some things that are revealed in the documents declassified that might be troubling to some of the people who were in power in 2016 and early 2017.

On Monday, The Federalist reported:

Internal emails released on Friday by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reveal that after former President Barack Obama ordered an intelligence assessment of Russia’s election influence, a top official in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence scuttled the release of an already-completed intelligence report that concluded Russian had not hacked the 2016 presidential election.

On Friday, Director Gabbard released newly declassified documents, including scores of emails related to a 7-page draft President’s Daily Brief or PDB. That draft PDB, dated December 8, 2016, concluded, “Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent US election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against election infrastructure.” But hours before the planned publication of the PDB, the ODNI’s deputy director pulled the report, purportedly due to “some new guidance.”

However, the email threads declassified last week indicate the ODNI instead buried the PDB to provide the intelligence community cover to issue a contrary assessment concerning Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election — and did so, against the recommendations of a wide array of intelligence professionals.

Specifically, on Thursday, December 8, 2016, the “Deputy National Intelligence Officer for Cyber Issues” for ODNI responded to an earlier email from the Deputy Director of ODNI concerning the publication of the PDB. “The room’s thoughts (EEMC, NIO Russia, CTIIC, NSA, FBI, CCI) were that it was worth going ahead with the pdb if possible now to provide our current understanding of what happened during the election, and that worst case the ICA has some language and an associated briefer note explaining any changes between the products.”

I am not sure exactly how much of this activity is illegal or if anyone will ever be held accountable for their lies. However, the value of getting it out there is vindication for those of us who have watched the lies the media has told be accepted as fact. I don’t expect apologies from my friends and family who hate President Trump, but it feels good to know that my research in the alternative media has been more accurate than the reporting by the mainstream media.
