Avoiding Paying American Workers What They Are Worth

One of the problems with the Chamber of Commerce Republicans is that sometimes they put profits over principles. One of the reasons the Republicans in Congress didn’t stop the flow of illegal immigrants until President Trump was elected was that the illegals provided cheap labor and higher profit margins. That is also the reason there is abuse of the H-1B program.

On Tuesday, Breitbart reported:

The government would gain by supercharging the inflow of migrants just as millions of American voters lose their jobs and careers to artificial intelligence, says Silicon Valley investor and AI advocate Jason Calacanis.

“The best interest of America today, when it comes to expansion, is very simple … Recruit the smartest and most driven 1-3m people on the planet every year,” Calacanis wrote May 25 on X, without mentioning the impact on the prosperity of ordinary Americans.

The government should also import many additional foreign workers for healthcare and other white-collar jobs, he said. “Allow for a modest number of worker visas based on our acute needs … This is probably 100-500k [migants] a year on average,” he wrote. He did not explain whether the term “our acute needs” refers to the needs of government, investors, or citizens.

Americans will accept the bigger inflow of legalized migrants if the current inflow of illegals is kept at zero, he suggested: “of course cut off all illegal immigration to accomplish this.”

The article notes:

Calacanis describes himself as a moderate among his peers. His demand for both government support of job-killing AI and government support for more American-replacing migration is echoed by other green-eyeshade investors who are shrugging off the rising public anger about stalled wages, declining jobs, high housing costs, and chaotic diversity.

However, Calacanis ignores the many polls that show rising public alarm at AI, mass migration, and white-collar visa programs.

In contrast, President Donald Trump and his deputies see those polls and argue that AI and migration are alternative strategies for economic growth. “We’re going to need robots… to make our economy run because we do not have enough people,” Trump told Breitbart News in August 2025, adding:

We’ll probably add to [the existing workforce] through robotically… Then, somebody is going to have to make the robots. The whole thing, it feeds on itself.

“When you guys graduate from this university, I don’t want you competing against a low-wage foreigner for your first job,” Vice President JD Vance told students in April, adding:

I want a company to have to pay you a fair wage for a fair day’s work. It’s common sense. But to do that, you really have to do reform of the H-1B and other… visa systems.

This is another reason every college student and working person needs to support the Trump agenda.

Solving The Medicare Fraud Problem

On Wednesday, The Daily Signal posted an article about the next steps in dealing with home health care fraud.

The article reports:JD

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is pausing new Medicare enrollment for hospices and home health agencies for six months to review alleged rampant fraud.

Vice President JD Vance’s Anti-Fraud Task Force is working with the agency to combat fraud, waste, and abuse in Medicare. So far, the task force has withheld $1.4 billion in federal funding from home health and hospice providers across the country, Fox News reported.

“We’ve seen systemic and deeply troubling fraud in the hospice and home health space, with bad actors exploiting some of our most vulnerable Medicare patients and stealing money from the American taxpayer,” CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz said.

“Today we’re shutting the door on fraud—preventing new bad actors from entering Medicare while we aggressively identify, investigate, and remove those already exploiting them. This is about protecting patients, restoring integrity, and safeguarding taxpayer dollars,” Oz said.

The announcement comes after the Daily Wire reported on alleged widespread Medicare fraud in Ohio’s home health industry. Officials with Ohio Medicaid told the Columbus Dispatch the department had been investigating fraud concerns before the recent reports surfaced.

The moratorium will not affect current Medicare enrollments. Existing providers will continue to deliver services to Medicare beneficiaries.

The article concludes:

In February, Vance announced that the administration was withholding reimbursements for $259.5 million in Medicaid funds from Minnesota pending an investigation into allegations of widespread welfare fraud there.

Vance is holding a news conference Wednesday afternoon to warn all 50 states they must fully comply with anti-fraud statutes or risk losing federal Medicaid funding, the Wall Street Journal reported.

“Under President Trump, we are unleashing the most aggressive federal anti-fraud efforts in American history,” Vance said. “We won’t rest until we root out every bit of fraud infecting our government and screwing over taxpayers.”

Getting rid of the fraud in Medicaid and Medicare could easily add years to the life of the programs. It is long past time this was done.

How Do You Put A Hospice In A Taco Stand?

How do you put a hospice in a taco stand or a tire store? That is the question being asked in a post by The Daily Signal on Sunday. Evidently the authorities in California were so lax in checking Medicare money handed out to supposed hospice facilities that some of them were located in very strange places.

The article reports:

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has halted payments to more than 400 hospices in Los Angeles and across California, with the estimated fraud being greater than $600 million, according to the anti-fraud task forceopens in a new tab led by Vice President JD Vance.

Sheila Clark, CEO of the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association, is questioning how these alleged instances of fraud have slipped through the cracks.

“How do you put a hospice in a burrito stand in California? How do you put a hospice in a tire store? That all had to be vetted through licensure, certification, and accreditation,” Clark said during a House of Representatives hearing on April 21.

The article concludes:

In an interview with Fox Newsopens in a new tab, First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli called California “the kingdom of fraud.”

“Nobody is minding the shop. The money just goes out the door—no checking, no vetting. California has a responsibility to make sure the money is going to the intended recipients.”

On Tuesday, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reported that $6,000 was being paid out by the government for hospice patients that allegedly did not exist.

We have not gotten one call from a congressperson or a patient. Why? Because those hospices did not exist. They were signing up patients … and charging us $6,000 a month for that patient.”

I am hoping that as we clear out the fraudulent spending by the government we can continue to decrease the tax burden on Americans.

It Is Being Reported That Elon Musk Has Changed His Mind

On Wednesday, The New York Post posted an article updating Elon Musk’s plans to create a third party. Although I often share his frustration with today’s two political parties, I am glad that he is moving away from that idea. It would be at least ten years before a new political party to become competitive, and I am hopeful that the current leadership in the Republican party is moving toward sanity making a new party unnecessary.

The article reports:

Elon Musk is reportedly putting the brakes on launching his new political party in order to maintain ties with prominent Republicans — especially Vice President JD Vance, whom the billionaire is eyeing to back in 2028.

Musk had vowed that his “America Party” would challenge the two-party system, but he told those close to him that he’d rather focus on his businesses than pull voters away from his Republican allies in Washington, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The Tesla CEO is particularly keen on maintaining ties with Vance, who, it has been widely speculated, will inherit the MAGA movement after President Trump completes his second term.

The article concludes:

Trump and Musk appear to have squashed their beef — at least for now — as Musk has refrained of late from criticizing the president or other Republican politicians.

Vance could massively benefit from Musk’s money and influence if he’s tapped to succeed Trump.

When reached for comment by the Journal, Vance’s team pointed to an interview from earlier this month with conservative outlet the Gateway Pundit in which the vice president said it would be bad for conservatives to break with MAGA and hoped Musk would “come back into the fold” by the midterm elections.

Musk, without commenting further on the Journal’s report, posted on X, “Nothing @WSJ says should ever be thought of as true.

Meanwhile, where are the spending cuts?

The Fight For Fiscal Sanity

On Tuesday, The New York Post reported the following:

Vice President JD Vance cast two tie-breaking votes in the Senate Tuesday to move forward a $9.4 billion rescissions package — which would rip federal funding from PBS and NPR — in the upper chamber.

The Senate deadlocked, 50-50, on two procedural votes to start debate on the multibillion-dollar spending clawback package before Vance’s votes advanced the measure requested by the White House.

Three Republicans — Sens. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) — joined all Democrats in opposition to the bill.

The article includes this statement:

Collins defended her “no” vote by arguing that OMB didn’t provide senators with details about what programs would be scrapped as a result of the clawback.

How many times has Collins voted on a bill without knowing exactly what is in it?

The article notes:

The Maine Republican also described the cuts to public broadcasters as “excessive” and expressed concern that PBS viewers would lose access to “popular programs like ‘Antiques Road Show’ and ‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.’”

“I share the frustration with the biased reporting by NPR, and I would support defunding it,” Collins continued. “Nevertheless, local TV and radio stations continue to provide important coverage.”

She noted that CPB funding in Maine supports the state’s emergency alert network and allows high school basketball games to air on television.

PBS should be required to stand on its own just as other broadcasters are. They have no official commercials, but they fund raise and name sponsors. Frankly, if they had had any copyright lawyers worth their salt in the early days of Sesame Street, they would have been set for life on Tickle-Me Elmo.

The article concludes:

The Senate now has at least 10 hours to debate the measure before amendments are voted on and a final vote takes place.

The House, which passed the measure 214-212 in June, would then need to consider the changes the Senate makes to the bill.

Lied To Again

Actually, we really can’t discern whether the media is continually lying or if they are simply ignorant of basic facts. It is odd, however, that the lies do have a political slant.

On Monday, Red State posted an article about Vice President J.D. Vance’s recent trip to the Vatican.

The article reports:

But the media was at it again, spinning away about the greeting. Check out this headline from The Daily Beast, painting the greeting as a “snub” on Sunday.

Well, not so fast.

The article continues:

Other outlets like The Daily Mail ran similar takes.

Now, if they met, it’s pretty hard to call that a snub, but that’s how they tried to spin it anyway. They seem not to notice it’s the Pope’s inauguration, so he has a lot going on and many leaders to meet. Of course, this is about stoking some illusion that the Pope hates Vance to make Vance look bad. But that’s ridiculous since that goes against the whole nature of being Pope. They don’t seem to get that their scenario would make the Pope look bad, that they’re inherently attacking the Pope without realizing it.

This isn’t the first time they’ve tried this and printed absolute nonsense about Vance. The Daily Beast previously accused him of violating a rule about taking pictures in the Sistine Chapel. After excoriating him in a story, buried deep down in the story was the fact that Vance had permission. He was with Vatican officials.

The article also notes:

He and the Pope even exchanged gifts. Vance gave him a Chicago Bears jersey with his name and number. He also gave the Pope – who is an Augustinian priest – two books by St. Augustine, the “City of God” and “On Christian Doctrine.”

Meanwhile, the Pope gave Vance a bronze sculpture that said in Italian, “Peace is a fragile flower.” He also gave him a picture book of the papal apartments, saying he might live in them, but he hasn’t decided yet.

I said in my prior story that Vance and Rubio (United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio) should work on communication with the Pope so he isn’t just getting media spin about the Trump administration, and it looks like they were on that during the visit.

It’s odd that people who don’t have a political agenda and who have actually met President Trump are surprised at how different he is from the person the media paints him as.

This Shouldn’t Happen In America

Over the weekend, Vice-President Vance and his family went skiing in Vermont. What should have been a welcome break from the pressure cooker that is Washington, D.C., turned into something very different. Vice-President Vance and his family were moved to an undisclosed location due to pro-Ukrainian protesters.

Breitbart reports:

Star Trek star George Takei cheered on leftists who crashed Vice President JD Vance’s family ski trip, which resulted in the Vice President and has family having to be moved to an “undisclosed location.”

“Protestors met JD Vance in Vermont when he went to vacation there today,” Takei wrote in a Saturday post on the leftist echo chamber social media platform Bluesky, adding, “This is a good one,” and sharing a photo of a protestor holding a sign that read, “VANCE IS A TRAITOR, GO SKI IN RUSSIA.”

…Notably, Democrat lawmakers, mainstream media journalists, celebrities, and other Ukrainian sycophants took to social media, where they parroted the same anti-Trump and anti-Vance talking points and spun the narrative as to how Fridays meeting with Zelensky unfolded.

The article notes:

As Breitbart News reported, the United States has already authorized around $175 billion in taxpayer dollars for support to Ukraine.

The Vice-President should be able to enjoy a peaceful weekend with his family. It is unfortunate that free speech has turned into a right to ruin someone’s vacation time. The media needs to tone down its rhetoric.

A Short History Lesson On Ukraine

In August 1991, Ukraine separated from Russia. This was roughly two years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. In December 1994, a treaty called the Budapest Memorandum was signed which stated that Ukraine would give away its nuclear missiles (it had the world’s third-largest nuclear stockpile) in exchange for guarantees that the U.S., the U.K. and Russia would respect the independence and sovereignty of its existing borders. Obviously that treaty was not worth the paper it was written on.

In March 2014, Russia annexes Crimea. There was a referendum with the vote in Crimea favoring secession, but the results of that vote have been disputed. The Obama administration and U.S. allies in Europe imposed sanctions on Russia. Also in 2017, Petro Poroshenko is elected President of Ukraine. He stays in office until 2019 when Volodymyr Zelenskyy is elected on a promise to end the corruption in the country. President Obama asigns Vice-President Biden as the administration’s front man in Ukraine. On January 23, 2018, Vice-President Biden gives a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations telling the story of getting the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating Hunter Biden fired after the Vice-President threatened to withhold $1 Billion in foreign aid to Ukraine. I guess the corruption was still there even after Zelenskyy was elected. Some of the people involved with Ukraine under the Obama administration were Victoria Nuland and Alexander Vindman. You may recognize the name Alexander Vindman from the first impeachment trial of President Trump.

On Friday, February 28, 2025, there was a meeting in the Oval Office between President Trump and President Zelenskyy. Various other people were in attendance, among them JD Vance and Ukrainian Ambassador Oksana Markarova.

This is the reaction of the Ukrainian Ambassador as the events of that meeting unfolded:

The purpose of the meeting was to sign an already-agreed-to treaty about mineral rights in Ukraine. President Zelenskyy had already agreed to the treaty but had repeatedly declined opportunities to sign the deal in Kyiv or Munich. He requested the meeting at the White House. Before the meeting, he met with a number of Congressmen from both political parties. Also included in that meeting were U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and National Security Advisor Susan Rice, Deputy Secretary of State under President Obama and National Security Advisor to then-Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs from 2013 to 2017 and U.S. Ambassador to NATO from 2005 to 2008, and Alexander Vindman, a retired United States Army lieutenant colonel who was the Director of European Affairs for the United States National Security Council until he was reassigned on February 7, 2020. You may remember Alexander Vindman from the first impeachment trial of President Trump. This group advised Zelenskyy to ask for a White House meeting with the intention of causing President Trump to lose his temper in order generate sympathy for the Ukrainian cause and President Zelenskyy. The idea was to force President Trump to put American troops in Ukraine and continue the war.  This group is a representation of what is referred to as ‘the deep state.’ They all have connections and investments that profit from the corruption and the continuing war in Ukraine.

Why would anyone want to continue the war? Well, as usual, follow the money. According to CBS News in September 2023, some of the things we are funding in Ukraine include seeds and fertilizer for Ukrainian farmers, salaries of Ukraine’s first responders (57,000 of them), divers clearing unexploded ammunition from the rivers–to make them safe again for swimming and fishing. We are subsidizing small businesses-paying salaries and taxes. We are essentially supporting the country.

Corruption is rampant in Ukraine, and we have no accountability as to how the money we are sending is being spent. If the war continues and our spending continues, the people who are getting kickbacks from the spending will continue to thrive as the citizens of Ukraine suffer. I have read over the weekend that Zelenskyy has stated that he is now willing to sign the treaty. If that is true, this will be the fourth time he has said that. Let’s hope this time he means it.
