The View From The Lair

Last May I perused that karma sucks. And it does. And it seems to be sucking on a most deserving victim.

While PDJT was forced into his 4-year sabbatical (in fact, while he was still President,), numerous Marxist miscreants – including the Deep State holdovers from Barry Obozo’s DOJ as well as Resident Brandon’s DOJ started their notorious lawfare attacks.

Obviously, PDJT survived. The man is nothing if not tenacious. He also has a memory. More than that he has a tremendous love and respect for our great country. Many of the lawsuits entered against him helped to establish the basis for a number of legal points.

One of the Supreme Court decisions ruled that a sitting President is immune from prosecution for actions performed within the scope of his official duties. They did not, however, isolate him from civil liabilities for acts NOT within the scope of his official duties nor for acts not within the official scope.

In November of 2016, a cabal of government officials began a conspiracy to deprive the incoming President, one Donald J. Trump, of his ability to carry out the duties of the President. The notorious “Russia Collusion,” based upon a “dossier” paid for by Her Majesty Shillery Clinton, set the act in motion. The resulting “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation in July of 2016 failed to derail the Trump Campaign, so a more nefarious method was needed.

All (or at least a lot) of the incriminating evidence was left in place. The Marxists are nothing if not hubristic. Otherwise, someone might have thought to destroy the evidence. And as DNI Tulsi Gabbard has started releasing the evidence – and it looks like a LOT of it – the whistleblowers are clamoring to be heard.

So, while the investigation into the “AutoPen Scandal” proceeds, all of the usual – expected – suspects might be calling their lawyers. Comey, Clapper, Brennen, Shillery, and of course the ringleader himself, Barry Obozo.

First, Speaker Johnson has stated that Obozo will be “invited” to appear before Congress, and if a subpoena is necessary to encourage him, then he will oblige. Next, DNI Gabbard has requested a Grand Jury investigation to determine criminality for the suspects. Obozo may skate on the criminal charges, but how about the civil charges. The rest of the rats – Her Majesty included – might face criminal charges. And a more worthy bunch of suspects I could not imagine.

After all, as we heard incessantly until last January, “no one is above the law.” Even the ones who have held themselves to be above the law for decades.

The wheels of justice grind slowly. But we can hope that they will finally grind out the truth. And grind up a bunch of rats.

Karma will bite you in the end.

Karma Isn’t Fun

On Wednesday, PJ Media posted an article titled, “What a  Bad Day to Be a Democrat.” The article lists seven reasons for that statement. Please follow the link to read the details.

Here are the seven reasons:

1. By now you’ve heard that the Trump donation site crashed as patriotic Americans, 29.7% of whom were first-time donors, bombarded Trump with over $50 million in about 24 hours after the guilty verdicts, and a grand total of $200 million for the month of May.

2. A poll just out of my home state of Michigan revealed, much to the pain of the wailing, sissy-Mary sitzpinklers on the left, that the 34 guilty verdicts did not hurt Trump but, as America’s favorite commie-hating, radio talk show host/ PJ Media pundit/bourbon-drinking comedian pointed out, likely helped him.

3. New York City decided to incur a $15 “congestion tax” on people who travel south of 60th St. in Manhattan. The commies in charge thought it would be a tasty way to stick it to the profit-grabbing Milburn Pennybags of the Big Apple. 

But on Wednesday, Komrade Kathy Hochul delayed the tax indefinitely until the day after the presidential election because she knows New York State might, actually, possibly vote Republican for the first time in years.

4. As you’ve likely heard, the House Oversight Committee informed America’s notorious tergiversator, Merrick Garland, that it has proof that Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden lied to Congress, which is a big, fat, juicy felony. The committee recommended criminal investigations.

4.5. The gun case against Hunter is pretty daming. But he is on his own turf, so it’s hard to say how this case will go. If the jury just looks at the facts and doesn’t succumb to the sympathy of the ghost of Hunter’s dead brother Beau, who has already made an appearance, Hunter should be found guilty.

5. Georgia’s sassiest pinko, Fani Willis, might get booted from the Trump prosecution case. That could go either way, but we recently learned that the Trump trial will not proceed until a judge has decided whether or not to send Fani to the showers.

6. Judge Aileen Cannon just might decide that Jack Smith has no legal right to persecute Trump in what the Castromaniacs are calling the “classified documents trial.”

7. The Wall Street Journal released a damning article about how Joe Biden has the mental faculties of a carrot. Biden’s dementia is becoming an inconvenient truth for the Democrats who see voters — especially black and brown people — leaving the Democrat plantation in record numbers.

Looking Past The Obvious

Today The Washington Examiner posted an article about the resignation of Britain’s ambassador to the United States, Sir Kim Darroch. The Ambassador was forced to resign after some leaked diplomatic cables that said some very unflattering things about President Trump. Obviously, the man is entitled to his own opinion and obviously, the cables should not have been leaked, but there is a certain amount of karma involved here.

The Washington Examiner reports:

According to one current and one former U.S. government official speaking on the condition of anonymity, Darroch repeatedly leaked classified U.S. intelligence information, including highly classified information, to a journalist for a U.S.-based media outlet. The sources are confirmed by the reaction my related inquiries have received from other government officials.

These leaks are unrelated to the diplomatic cables which sparked Trump’s anger and Darroch’s departure.

Still, one source says that the U.S. government was so alarmed by Darroch’s leaks that it launched an official investigation to find the source of the information. That source described the leaked intelligence as “very sensitive,” and suggested that exigent U.S. security concerns motivated the investigation. That source says that non-U.S. government derived records showed the ambassador and journalist exchanging messages on a continuing basis. The source emphasized that these communications were not derived from U.S. government actions.

A second source, a career government official, described the leaks as “unprecedented.”

Obviously, if you live by the leak, you die by the leak.

We Wouldn’t Have Needed Sequestration If The Government Had Not Done Things Like This

Ed Morrissey at Hot Air posted an article today about government funding of the Fisker Automotive‘s manufacturing of electric cars.

The article reports:

Newly obtained documents show the Obama administration was warned as early as 2010 that electric car maker Fisker Automotive Inc. was not meeting milestones set up for a half-billion dollar government loan, nearly a year before U.S. officials froze the loan after questions were raised about the company’s statements.

An Energy Department official said in a June 2010 email that Fisker’s bid to draw on the federal loan may be jeopardized for failure to meet goals established by the department.

Despite that warning, Fisker continued to receive money until June 2011, when the DOE halted further funding. The agency did so after Fisker presented new information that called into question whether key milestones — including the launch of the company’s signature, $100,000 Karma hybrid — had been achieved, according to a credit report prepared by the Energy Department.

This is a familiar story in the Obama Administration. Solyndra was also going bankrupt as the government was funding the company. In 2009 Vice-President Biden stated that Fisker was planning to buy a shuttered General Motors plant in Delaware to produce hybrid cars. The plant was never opened and no cars were ever produced.

The Wall Street Journal also reported on the Karma, a luxury car produced by Fisker that has a sticker price of over $100,000:

Mr. Simon says his car broke down four times over the span of a few months. Each time, Fisker Automotive Inc. picked it up and sent it by trailer from his home in Omaha, Neb., to a dealer in Minneapolis.

The Karma was “so vulnerable to software errors, and the parts used were of such poor quality that eventually I insisted they take the car back and return my purchase price, which they did,” he says. “It’s a real shame, the car itself was beautiful.” …

Troubles with suppliers and regulatory requirements added months to the Karma’s release. Its engineers expressed concerns that the software that ran the Karma’s display screens and phone connections wasn’t ready, people familiar with the situation say. Still, the Karma went out to customers. The company said that its problems were expected of any new model. …

Fisker stopped production of the Karma at a factory in Finland in July 2012 in an attempt to negotiate a cost-saving contract. The following month, Fisker recalled its cars for a second time to fix a cooling system flaw that was linked to battery fires.

It hasn’t built a car since.

American tax dollars at work. I would strongly recommend that after the Obama Administration leaves office none of its members become stockbrokers.

Creating Jobs With Stimulus Money

On Wednesday ABC News reported that Fisker Automotive, a company that received nearly $200 million in Obama administration loan money, is signaling that it may not build its next generation hybrid electric vehicle in the United States.

The article reports:

Fisker received federal funds in part to help purchase a shuttered General Motors plant in Delaware, where it predicted it would one day employ 2,000 auto workers to assemble the clean-burning gas-electric family car, known as the Atlantic.

But company executives began hinting in February that it would reconsider that plan and look for a cheaper place to build the car after the Department of Energy froze the $529 million green-energy loan the company had received, and had been drawing on since 2010.

The article further details the saga of the Karma, a flashy $100,000 hybrid sports sedan that it assembles in Finland. There have been some problems with the lithium-ion batteries in the Karma. The Karma that Consumer Reports was road testing stopped working in the middle of the road test. There was also a recall of the batteries because of a defect that raised the risk of fire.

This is another example of foolish spending on green energy by the current administration. I don’t think that I would let President Obama manage my stock portfolio.
