Let’s Talk About The Children

When Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House, we constantly heard about laws that were ‘for the children.’ Actually most of the laws she supported put the children in debt before they were born, but that’s another story. The Trump administration has done a number of things ‘for the children,’ but there is one that is very important.

On Friday, Red State reported:

One of the more horrible aspects of the mass illegal immigration that was allowed to fester under the presidency of Joe Biden and whoever was running the autopen was the number of unaccompanied illegal alien children that went missing. Most estimates place the number at 300,000. Until recently, we didn’t know what had become of those children.

Now, we have nearly half of them back. On Friday, Border Czar Tom “The Hammer” Homan took a few moments off from staring down ICE protestors in Minneapolis to take note of this on his official X account.

On Friday, Tom Homan posted this on X:

This is happening because it is a priority of the Trump administration. It was not a priority during the Biden administration (possibly they were aiding and abetting it). Many of the people that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) is attempting to deport are involved in gang activity, drug smuggling, and child trafficking. They are not the people you want living in your neighborhood. Please consider that when watching the protests.

Don’t Expect Your Laws To Be Obeyed When You Ignore Other Laws

There is an old adage that says ‘you reap what you sow.’ I think some of our politicians who depend on law enforcement to keep the peace in their cities and states might want to think about that. On Friday, The New York Post posted an article about New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill setting up an internet site to track and take videos of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE). That seems to be interfering with the enforcement of the law, and I believe that is a crime.

The article reports:

Lefty New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill urged residents to film ICE agents operating in their neighborhoods and upload the videos to a state “portal” she vowed to launch.

“If you see an ICE agent in the street, get your phone out,” the Democrat, just eight days into her first term as governor of the Garden State, said in a sit-down interview with The Daily Show host Desi Lydic Wednesday night.

Sherill’s administration will soon be launching a “portal,” she said, so New Jerseyans “can upload all their cell phone videos and alert people” about local immigration operations.

It was unclear how much this portal would cost Garden State taxpayers to launch.

…“Keeping New Jerseyans safe is Governor Sherrill’s top priority and, in the coming days, she and Acting Attorney General Davenport will announce additional actions to protect New Jerseyans from federal overreach,” spokesperson Sean Higgins said in a statement.

If you are truly interesting in keeping the residents of New Jersey safe, you might consider taking murders and rapists who are here illegally off the streeets.

The article concludes:

Homan ( border czar, Tom Homan) also denounced the harsh rhetoric directed at ICE and other immigration law enforcement officers from Minnesota and across the country.

“I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March — if the rhetoric doesn’t stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn’t right. I don’t want to see anybody die,” Homan said.

Sherrill, meanwhile, compared ICE to secret police forces she saw in other countries when she served in the Navy.

“We saw people in the street with masks and no insignia. So not accountable at all, hiding from the population – and we saw again and again an undermining of what law enforcement should do to keep people safe,” she said on the Daily Show.

The message from the Democrats is simple–when you elect someone we don’t like, we will create chaos; when you elect someone we like, we will sit down and be quiet. I think the correct answer to that is to arrest those encouraging the chaos as well as those causing it. This is not acceptable.

Undoing Some Of The Damage

On Sunday, Red State posted an article about the rescue of many of the children who went missing after coming across America’s border as unaccompanied minors.

The article reports:

Border Czar Tom Homan has been given a tough job to do. His part in fixing four years of incompetence and outright refusal to enforce immigration law would be enough to make Hercules take pause. But Mr. Homan and those working with him are getting it done.

In his latest, Mr. Homan, in an interview on Fox News, added another statistic to his growing list: Over 62,000 children redeemed from captivity.

The article quotes Mr. Homan:

I look at the numbers every day. On Friday I looked at the numbers. There’s over 62,000 children, found by the Trump administration. Children that weren’t even being looked for under the Biden administration. President Trump saved over 62,000 children’s lives. Some of these children were in sex trafficking, we found some were in forced labor. Some were being mistreated in, to… I can’t even discuss some of the mistreatment we found out about. President Trump proves, again, why he’s the greatest president in my lifetime. Over 62,000 children rescued by President Trump. Again, children that were ignored and weren’t being looked for, under President Biden.

The article concludes:

The contrast here couldn’t be more stark. The Biden administration, with an empty chair at its head and who-knows-who making the actual decisions, seemed determined to allow in everyone, legally, illegally; it made no difference. There have been allegations of disappearing children for years, but during the Biden (or the autopen, who knows) term, nothing much was done about them. Now we’re finding them, and in some cases, as Tom Homan notes above, what these kids have suffered is bad enough that he won’t even discuss it on air.

That’s what the presidency of Joe Biden will have as its legacy. And, it’s not impossible that the damage done by the guy who posed as the 46th president may never be completely rectified. But there’s no excuse for not trying, at least, if you’re not a Democrat. In that case, there are many excuses for not trying.

The Biden administration added millions to the income of the cartels. The Trump administration is destroying a lot of their drug profit at its source.

Finding The Children

On Saturday, Townhall posted an article about the 300,000 children who went missing after crossing America’s southern border as unaccompanied minors.

The article reports:

Border czar Tom Homan revealed the Trump administration has found tens of thousands of the unaccompanied children who went missing under the Biden administration.

“Out of the 300,000 children, I looked at the numbers just yesterday, we located over 23,000 of them,” he said on Fox News. “So, 23,000 locations of the 300,000. But President Trump is committed. We’re not gonna stop until we find every one of them or at least run every lead down of those 300,000 children. So that’s a big plus for the administration, because the last administration wasn’t even looking for them.”

As the New York Post reported last month, many of these children were “condemned to a ‘conveyor belt’ of rape and abuse.”

The article notes:

When Homan announced the Department of Homeland Security had found 10,000 of the children in July, he blasted the media for ignoring the story.

The article concludes:

Every illegal alien public safety threat we arrest makes this country safer. Every national security threat we take off this street and deport makes us safer and we’re rescuing thousands of children.”

The fact that they are looking for the missing children is encouraging. I hope they locate every one of them.

It’s Time To Find The Children

On Wednesday, Breitbart posted an article about one of the priorities of the incoming Trump administration.

The article reports:

On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” incoming Border Czar Tom Homan stated that the Trump administration will attempt to locate and rescue as many missing migrant children as possible and “We’ll deal with the immigration consequences later, we’ve got to get these kids back with their families, and we’ve got to make sure they’re protected.”

Homan said, “[U]nder the Trump administration, we had a DNA testing. We vetted everybody in the household, not just the sponsor…to make sure there wasn’t a gang member or a child predator living in that household. So, this isn’t incompetence, this isn’t mismanagement, this is by design, this is about moving as many people into this country as possible, because they see a future political benefit in all of this. Do I think they meant to put [children in harm’s way]? I don’t know that. I have my suspicions. But what they did is harming hundreds of thousands of children, and I’ll tell you right now, some of these children, we’re never going to find. Some of these children are dead. Some of these children are living a life of hell every day.”

In August, The New York Post reported:

The Biden-Harris administration has lost track of more than 320,000 migrant children who crossed the border without parents, according to a shocking new report.

Untold numbers of the children — who were released into the US to “qualified sponsors” — are now at risk of sex trafficking, forced labor and other forms of exploitation, a Homeland Security Inspector General’s report released Monday said.

As of May 2024, there are 291,000 migrant children who arrived in the US as unaccompanied minors who were set free and never given a date to appear in immigration court — meaning there is no way to track their whereabouts.

That is in addition to the 32,000 children that Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities released into the US with hearing dates but then failed to show in court, according to the 14-page report — which tracked a period from October 2018 to September 2023.

One federal whistleblower said that she believes many of these vulnerable kids could already be in the hands of criminals and sex traffickers.

It’s time to close the border to illegal immigrants, and locate the missing children and provide them with the safety and protection they deserve.
