I Would Like To Hear A Logical Explanation For This…

In case you can’t read the small print, this shows that in St. Lucie County 141 percent of voters turned out to vote. These numbers were also reported at Townhall.com on Saturday. There needs to be an investigation. Have we become so divided as a nation that political parties do not support honest elections?

Why You Should Not Believe Anything You See On Television

We are in the last days of the silly season for this election. We will be seeing news stories and pictures designed to change your mind. Some of them will be real, and some of them will be totally false. To illustrate the fact that things are not always what they seem, I am posting a YouTube video below:

Keep this video in mind as you watch the political ads making the closing arguments.

Quote Of The Week

DaTechGuy is the host of a Worcester political talk show (830 AM WCRN Saturday 10am to noon) and a dedicated reporter on the political scene. His blog, DaTechGuyBlog.com, reports on both national and state politics. Recently he interviewed Senator Scott Brown.

The quote of the week comes from the Senator in that interview. When the Senator was questioned about his appeal to voters, he replied:

“Last time I got votes from the Democratic party the independent party the republican party and quite frankly people who just like to party.”

There Is A Time And A Place For Fun–This Is Not It !

This is a campaign ad from the Republican party. It is not a joke–the audio you hear is actually real. I have no problem with having fun and being lighthearted, but this is a presidential campaign that will decide the future of America and American small business. The bottom line here is, “How much freedom do you want as an American citizen?”

This is the video (now on YouTube):

A Change Of Pace For The Weekend

This is going to be a politically noisy weekend. The left will be trying to define Paul Ryan as wanting to drive granny off the cliff and the right will be countering that effort. Some of the stories may be interesting, informative or entertaining, but right now I am taking a break.

This is Frito. He is our current foster cat. We provide foster care for cats from the local no-kill cat shelter. Frito is from Guatemala. I don’t know the full story of how he got here, but evidently as a black cat he was at some risk in that country and was brought here to safety. Frito is about three years old and he is very cute. He will make someone a wonderful pet.

What is my point? We are in the midst of the political silly season. A lot of the things we see and hear are not attractive, useful, or true. We need to remember that in the midst of making an informed decision about who we want to run our country, we have other basic priorities. Remember to love your friends and family during this time, even if you disagree with their politics!
