There Are Probably A Number Of Reasons For This

Just the News reported yesterday that a federal judge has blocked the state of New York from enforcing a Covid-19 vaccine mandate for its healthcare workers.

The article reports:

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the healthcare worker vaccine mandate on August 16 prompting more than a dozen healthcare professionals to request a court enjoinder. The mandate requires hospitals staff and employees of long-term care facilities to be vaccinated in order to remain employed.

The suit argues that medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and medical technicians face losing their careers and livelihoods if they refuse to receive a vaccine that contradicts their religious beliefs. According to the suit, the religious beliefs of the 17 medical professionals compel them to “refuse vaccination with the available Covid-19 vaccines, all of which employ aborted fetus cell lines in their testing, development, or production.”

The legal argument takes its shape under the umbrella of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Christopher Ferrara, an attorney with the Thomas More Society said that New York is attempting to “slam shut an escape hatch from an unconstitutional vaccine mandate … They are doing this while knowing that many people have sincere religious objections to vaccines that were tested, developed, or produced with cell lines derived from aborted children.”

As of now the vaccine mandate is temporarily suspended in New York State.

It should be noted the because of the vaccine mandates, many healthcare workers are walking off their jobs. Because of that, many states are having difficulty staffing their hospitals.

People have different reasons for refusing the vaccine–some have religious reasons, some have health concerns, and some feel that because they have recovered from Covid, they don’t need the vaccine. At any rate, we used to be a free county where a person was entitled to make their own healthcare decisions. If this vaccine is as wonderful as we are being told, people will get it voluntarily. Vaccine mandates are not the way to go. All of us need to fight them.

Moving In A Direction That Might Be Very Unwise

We have all watched as the mainstream media has attempted to make unvaccinated American the pariahs of our society. It doesn’t matter if you have had Covid and have antibodies, you MUST get vaccinated or you will be treated very differently from the people who have been vaccinated. So what is at the root of this and where is it going?

In an article posted yesterday, The Conservative Treehouse points out a few facts that are very interesting. The article relates the history of the Fabian Socialists, a group of people who are strong proponents for evaluating people and determining if they should be permitted to live in ‘their’ society.

The article reports:

The outlook of the Fabian group supports genocide and eugenics as an interventionist model for population control along the pathway of Darwinian theories of evolution.  Essentially, the ideology promotes a group of elites who form tribunals, commissions or boards of society, who will arbitrate which people should exist in society and which people should receive benefits; in this example COVID healthcare treatments.

Democrats or leftists throughout the world support the modern Fabian Socialist movement.  They are, by nature, totalitarians who despise the natural inequities created by free and unregulated human activity.  They have ongoing meetings and symposiums that are widely attended by current day politicians on the left and socialist side of the continuum.  The Fabian movement is very much alive and supported by the modern Democrat party.

Today, the Washington Post outlines how the Fabian mindset can be of great value as the world is facing the challenges of COVID-19.  The WaPo advocacy is saying that doctors and medical professionals around the world should be able to prioritize vaccinated people for medical treatments.  It is the exact same ideology that defines who the ‘productive members’ of society are.

The article includes a section from the Washington Post article which includes the following:

But the coronavirus pandemic, the development of a highly effective vaccine, and the emergence of a core of vaccine resisters along with an infectious new variant have combined to change the ethical calculus. Those who insist on refusing the vaccine for no reason are not in the same moral position of the smoker with lung cancer or the drunk driver. In situations where resources are scarce and hard choices must be made, they are not entitled to the same no-questions-asked, no-holds-barred medical care as others who behaved more responsibly. (read more)

So if you do not take the vaccine for whatever reason, you are not entitled to medical care that you would otherwise receive. Think about that for a moment. That is medical blackmail. That is a total affront to your freedom of choice. It is also some authority deciding that some people are more worthy of medical treatment (and life) than others. That is not a road that we should walk down.

Exactly Who Is Unvaccinated?

The mainstream media is telling us that a large percentage of the people who have not received the Covid vaccine are Trump supporters. This is somewhat illogical since President Trump was the one who cut through the red tape to make the vaccine possible. It is also interesting that President Biden and Vice-President Harris both badmouthed the vaccine during the Trump presidency–stating more than once that they did not trust it. So where are we now?

The American Thinker posted an article today with some of the statistics on who is vaccinated and who is not.

The article reports:

At present, the U.S. is 51 percent fully vaccinated. While that may not seem like success, if you break it down the numbers are more favorable. 62 percent of adults and 81 percent of the elderly are fully vaccinated. Another segment of the population has natural immunity based on having had COVID. Given natural infection as a second and more robust pathway toward herd immunity, America has done well.

For whatever reason, the media and much of the medical profession has consistently downplayed the immunity based on having had Covid.

The article continues:

Who isn’t yet vaccinated in America and why? There is vaccine hesitancy, which according to Wikipedia “is a delay in acceptance, or refusal of vaccines despite the availability of vaccine services.” It’s not simple and straightforward, either. “Vaccine hesitancy is complex and context specific, varying across time, place and vaccines. It is influenced by factors such as complacency, convenience, a fear of needles, or a lack of understanding about how vaccines work.”

Last March, Forbes reported that 49 percent of Republican men and 47 percent of Trump supporters will refuse any vaccine, setting the narrative for who is to blame now for the delta variant surge. Unknown then but known now is that the vaccines don’t prevent infection or transmission. According to CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky: “Vaccinated people infected with Delta can transmit the virus.”

Former CIA and NSA Director General Michael Hayden agrees with Forbes and his intelligence expertise leads him to conclude that Trump supporters are “our Taliban” and that “the MAGA wearing unvaxxed” deplorables should be sent to Afghanistan, presumably to be left to the whims of the real Taliban. I wonder if he wants unvaxxed Democrats, including blacks, of whom the majority are unvaxxed, to be sent to their deaths in Afghanistan?

Sounds like a really nice guy. I wonder if he has ever read the U.S. Constitution.

The vaccines do however reduce the risk of severe illness and death, allowing many to suffer milder infection, gaining natural immunity, and pushing the country closer to herd immunity where COVID becomes a seasonal nuisance like influenza.

What is the media not saying about the vaccine-hesitant?

As reported in Summit News, “A new report by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh has found that the most highly educated Americans are also the most vaccine hesitant.” This was not a survey of a few hundred, but of 5 million Americans.

They found a U-shaped curve with the greatest hesitancy among the least and most educated. “The most common concern for those who are hesitant to take the vaccine is potential side effects, with a lack of trust in government close behind in second.”

So much for the media narrative that only the missing-teeth, knuckle-dragging, Neanderthal Trump supporters are against vaccination.

Someday I hope the media will start telling us the truth about vaccines and herd immunity. Until then, Americans have the right to be skeptical.

Following The Science

There are still a lot of things we don’t know about Covid-19 or the Covid-19 vaccine. However, as time goes on, the medical community is collecting statistics that will at least give us a partial picture of the disease and immunity to it.

On August 6th, Sharyl Attkisson posted an article on her website summarizing some of the research on natural immunity and vaccine immunity to Covid-19. Please follow the link to read the entire article. It is detailed and complex, but I will post a few highlights.

The article notes:

Updated Aug. 6 with CDC analysis of Kentucky (unvaccinated Kentuckians had “2.34 times the odds of reinfection compared with fully vaccinated) and national analysis in Israel (vaccinated Israelis were 6.72 times more likely to get infected after the shot than after natural infection). More below.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) became one of the latest high-profile figures to get sick with Covid-19, even though he’s fully vaccinated. In a statement Monday, Graham said it feels like he has “the flu,” but is “certain” he would be worse if he hadn’t been vaccinated.

While it’s impossible to know whether that’s the case, public health officials are grappling with the reality of an increasing number of fully-vaccinated Americans coming down with Covid-19 infections, getting hospitalized, and even dying of Covid. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) insists vaccination is still the best course for every eligible American. But many are asking if they have better immunity after they’re infected with the virus and recover, than if they’re vaccinated.

Increasingly, the answer within the data appears to be ”yes.”

The article included the following:

The article notes:

Unfortunately, virologists say no commonly-used test can detect with certainty whether a person is immune. A common misconception is that antibody tests can make that determination. But experts say immunity after infection or exposure often comes without a person producing or maintaining measurable antibodies.

Because of that reality, people who have had asymptomatic infections — infections where they suffered no symptoms — have no easy way to know that they’re immune. However, a growing body of evidence indicates that the millions who know they got Covid can be assured they’re unlikely to suffer reinfection, for at least as long of a time period that scientists have been able to measure. Possibly far beyond.

This is an experimental vaccine. Remember that when you make your decision as to whether or not you are going to receive the vaccine. Meanwhile, there is nothing wrong with washing your hands frequently.

Coercion At Its Best

Yesterday (updated today) The Epoch Times reported that Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines has put in place a policy that requires passengers to either show proof of vaccination or get Covid testing at their own expense.

The article reports:

The Royal Caribbean cruise line says unvaccinated passengers will have to pay testing fees and be subject to various restrictions for sailings departing from Miami, even as Florida Gov. Ron De Santis has banned companies from requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccinations through an executive order.

The company said in a statement that passengers will be asked for their vaccination documentation at check-in, and anyone age 2 and above who is unvaccinated will be required to go through “multiple COVID-19 tests,” which would be priced at $136 per person. Testing for guests between the ages of 2 and 15 will be complimentary.

The article notes that there will be discrimination against unvaccinated passengers:

“Since the majority of our guests will be vaccinated on Freedom of the Seas, there will be venues and events restricted to vaccinated guests only. We’ll do our best to create opportunities for all guests to enjoy their time with us. Please note, your SeaPass card will be required to access lounges, shows, and dining venues, so keep it handy at all times during your cruise,” the company said.

Some venues will only grant access to vaccinated passengers, where people who have taken the shot won’t be required to wear a mask.

Masks won’t be required for children under the age of 2.

DeSantis’s office didn’t immediately respond to a request by The Epoch Times for comment.

We have treatments for Covid-19 that are effective. A number of studies show that those who have had the disease are as protected (if not more) than those who have had the vaccine. Why isn’t an antibody test as good as a vaccine? What in the world is this about?

Did He Mean To Say That?

Hot Air posted an article today about a recent comment made by President Biden.

The article notes:

By this point in the day, surely somebody on Joe Biden’s staff is suggesting that maybe town halls and public speaking appearances really aren’t such a great idea for the new President. The list of zingers from last night’s CNN town hall just keeps on coming, with none of them painting Uncle Joe in a very good light. During this exchange with Anderson Cooper, Biden is attempting to explain some of the problems being encountered while trying to get everyone vaccinated. One issue is the online registration process to request a vaccine. There have clearly been problems with some of the registration systems, but what prompted Biden to suddenly veer off the script and say that minorities, in particular, can’t figure the system out is a total mystery.

I realize that there is still a great deal of poverty in America. However, I also believe that the definition of poverty has changed over the years. At least 90 percent of Americans under the age of 40 are very conversant with electronics, the Internet, working their way through a website, playing video games, etc. Aside from the racial connotations of this ignorant remark, I think the remark also indicates a lack of knowledge of American culture and society. Yes, there are senior citizens (not only in poverty areas) who struggle with the Internet, but that is not a racial issue. Unfortunately, President Biden framed the issue in racial terms. That was not necessary.

The article continues:

The other portion is, a lot of people don’t know how to register. Not everybody in the community, in the Hispanic and African-American community particularly, and in rural areas that are distant or inner-city districts, know how to use, know how to get online to determine how to get in line for that COVID vaccination at the Walgreens.”

Do we really need to say it for the umpteenth time here today? Can you imagine the response if Donald Trump had ever said that? Or any Republican, really. The cries of racism would be echoing from the ceilings of every newsroom in the country. Aren’t statements like that pretty much defined as being racist or did all of those rules go out the window on January 20th?

Perhaps even more amazing was the way Anderson Cooper was willing to stand there on stage, nodding his head and acting as if this was the most normal thing in the world. I’ve had CNN on (muted) all morning while working and unless I missed it, none of their talking heads have brought this up for criticism or discussion. I think we’ve gone to the other side of the rainbow, Dorthy.

For a President who claims to be focused on the ‘systematic racism in America’, this was truly an ignorant remark.

We Are Seriously In Danger Of Losing Our Freedom

Yesterday The New York Post posted an article about some recent comments by Dr. Fauci. Considering the havoc he has wreaked on America with his ‘wisdom,’ I think we need to listen.

The article reports:

Dr. Anthony Fauci said it’s possible that COVID-19 vaccines will become mandatory in order to travel to other countries or attend school.

“Everything will be on the table for discussion,” Fauci, who will be chief medical adviser to President-elect Joe Biden, told Newsweek.

The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases stressed that it’s “not up to me to make a decision,” but added that “these are all things that will be discussed [under the Biden administration].”

“I’m not sure [the COVID-19 vaccine] going to be mandatory from a central government standpoint, like federal government mandates,” Fauci said, though he added that he’s “sure” that some individual institutions will require the shot.

Fauci said vaccine requirements in schools are “possible,” but they would come from mandates at the state or city level.

Stop and think a minute. All vaccines have some risk. The Covid vaccine uses a new technology that targets RNA. The vaccine has been developed and tested in the past year. There is no one who was vaccinated more than 10 months ago. We have no idea what the impact of the vaccine is ten years after you have had it. School children are not at risk or getting or spreading the disease–that has been scientifically established. Why would you want a mandate to require a Covid vaccine for children to attend school? That seems rather draconian.

I can honestly say that I don’t want the government requiring me to follow any specific medical protocol. That should be between me and my doctor. I don’t want to see the day in America where I can be stopped anywhere and asked for my vaccination papers, but that is where we are headed if people like Dr. Fauci have their way. Now I can almost hear the pro-abortionists screaming ‘my body, my choice,’ but the choice not to take a vaccine involves only my body. There is not another life within me that I will kill by not taking the vaccine. That is the difference.
