When Our Government Works Against The Interests Of The Voters

On November, The Washington Examiner posted an article about the partnership between an agency in the Department of Homeland Security and several university centers to identify online content worthy of censorship. Why is our government working with universities to censor free speech? Might that be part of the reason our colleges have become indoctrination centers?

The article reports:

An agency within the Department of Homeland Security partnered with several university centers to identify online content worthy of censorship, according to a new report from the House Judiciary Committee.

The report, a project of the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, detailed how the federal government formed a partnership with the Stanford Internet Observatory, the University of Washington Center for an Informed Public, and other groups. Titled the “Election Integrity Partnership,” the consortium aimed to identify election-related content that needed to be censored.

The report said the partnership was established in July 2020 by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, a small agency within the Department of Homeland Security. The partnership then worked with social media companies to throttle content that questioned the integrity of the election process.

“The federal government and universities pressured social media companies to censor true information, jokes, and political opinions,” the report said. “This pressure was largely directed in a way that benefited one side of the political aisle: True information posted by Republicans and conservatives was labeled as ‘misinformation’ while false information posted by Democrats and liberals was largely unreported and untouched by the censors.”

The article also notes:

The report named several prominent politicians, people, and conservative news outlets that had been targeted for censorship, including former President Donald Trump, Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC), former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), the Babylon Bee satire site, and Newsmax.

“Stanford and others, in collaboration with the federal government, established the EIP for the express purpose of violating Americans’ civil liberties: Because no federal agency ‘has a focus on, or authority regarding, election misinformation originating from domestic sources within the United States,’ there is ‘a critical gap for non-governmental entities to fill.’ CISA and Stanford created the EIP to bridge this ‘critical gap’ — an unconstitutional workaround for unconstitutional censorship,” the report said.

The report contained numerous screenshots of emails between government officials and employees of Twitter, Facebook, and the university “misinformation” centers, many of which included direct requests to censor content.

One of the things that was censored was any reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop. Government agencies knew the laptop was real and probably anticipated the information on it being reported before the election. The letter from the retired intelligence agents came out in October 2020, just before the election. Any valid information on the laptop was censored. At some point, American voters are going to realize that they have been manipulated and lied to by their own government. That will be interesting to watch.

Get Out The Popcorn

In 2021 Marjorie Taylor Greene was removed from her committee assignments, an unprecedented step to discipline a member over past incendiary remarks. The vote was mostly along party lines. Incendiary remarks made by other Congressmen were conveniently ignored and no penalty paid. During his campaign for Speaker, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy promised to strip Democratic Representatives Ilhan Omar, Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell of their committee assignments. Obviously the Democrats are not planning to let this happen (unlike their Republican counterparts who have  no idea how to fight),

On Monday, Townhall reported the following:

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) has officially selected Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) to the House Intelligence Committee. This is despite Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) promises he would not let that happen, setting up quite the likely showdown between the two party leaders. Earlier this afternoon, Rep. Schiff responded over Twitter, with just the kind of response you’d expect.

The article includes screenshots of Representative Schiff and Representative Swalwell thanking Representative Jeffries for the nominations. The ball is now in Speaker McCarthy’s court. We are now going to see if he is willing to keep the promises he made. We are also going to see if it is worth it to elect Republicans.

Stay tuned.

UPDATE:  According to an article at Red State yesterday, Speaker McCarthy is standing his ground.

A Promise Kept

In 2021 Marjorie Taylor Greene was removed from her committee assignments, an unprecedented step to discipline a member over past incendiary remarks. The vote was mostly along party lines. Incendiary remarks made by other Congressmen were conveniently ignored and no penalty paid. Well, what goes around comes around.

On January 10th, Townhall reported the following:

Newly minted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is making good on his promise to strip Democratic Representatives Ilhan Omar, Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell of their committee assignments.

“Swalwell can’t get a security clearance in the private sector. I’m not going to give him a government security clearance. Schiff has lied to the American public,” McCarthy told reporters late Monday night. “We will not allow him to be on the Intel Committee either.”

The move is especially damaging for Schiff, who abused his position as House Intelligence Committee Chairman to investigate President Donald Trump over bogus “Russian collusion” during the 2016 presidential election. For years Schiff claimed evidence was “hiding in plain site” that would lead to an indictment of Trump. After years of what Trump called a witch hunt, in addition to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s lengthy and expensive investigation, the politically charged allegations never came true.

…Meanwhile, the case to strip Swalwell of his assignments is simple: he slept with a Chinese spy. For Omar, there is plenty of evidence to suggest she committed immigration fraud by marrying and then divorcing her brother. She’s also advocated for terrorist organizations, including Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and Hamas, to be treated more fairly.

There are many precedents that Nancy Pelosi set as Speaker in recent years that the Democrats are going to regret. However, the Republicans have made some positive changes to the rules that I believe are a good thing. I am concerned that the vote of no confidence in the Speaker rule will be abused by the Democrats to block legislation they don’t like.

Reversing The War On Families

The following is a guest post by Raynor James.

The fake regime in D.C., the deep state, globalists, and whatever else you call this evil cabal has been waging war on traditional, two parent, nuclear families for a long time. American children and their parents are paying the price. They’re unsure of themselves and others. They’re insecure. They don’t know who to trust or what to believe. Divorce and poverty are on the rise. Americans are being hurt in the area in which our greatest happiness used to be found–the nuclear family. How is this happening? You and I both know. We’ve waked up to the fact that garbage is being taught in our public schools. Students are taught that their very nature is the result of their SKIN COLOR. White people are oppressors. Everyone else is a victim. As a result, people dislike themselves and everyone else. In addition, gender fluidity (an oxymoron if there ever was one) is being taught and encouraged in very young, very impressionable children, and material being pushed on children that is intended to (and does) sexualize them at very young ages. That is child abuse. There are many penalties for being married built into our tax code, into our welfare rules, and into many government edicts about employment and whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor (with more flexibility and choice).

There are many ways the US governments discourages family formation; however, there’s a movement afoot that’s intended to reverse the trend rather dramatically. Chairman Jim Banks and the Republican Study Committee have been working diligently on a “Family Policy Agenda.” The people involved include Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green, Rep. Ted Budd, Rep. Debbie Lesko, and many more. The group has met with President Trump to get his input. At the end of September, Chairman Jim Banks and the Republican Study Committee published its “Family Policy Agenda,” which contains10 basic principles and over 80 policy recommendations to restore the American family. It brings the 1990s “Contract with America” to mind.

Let’s look at some of the basic principles, shall we? Principle number one is to protect children from far-left ideologies inside and outside the classroom. It cites things like the transgender movement, racial ideologies, sexualization, dangers from big tech and internet predators, and the like. It also includes increased penalties for people who harm children and ideas for protecting children from drugs.

Principle number two is to give working families flexibility as to where and how they earn a living and get rid of one-size-fits-all government rules, and to ease up on government licensing requirements for various types of employment.

Principle number three is to implement policies reflecting the reality that parents (not government officials) are best qualified to make decisions about the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of their children, enshrine parental rights in law including the right to know what’s happening in their children’s schools, and the right and ability of parents to choose their child’s school, and the right of parents over public health bureaucrats in making health care decisions.

If you’re like me, these principles sound wonderful, but how do we get them from “pie in the sky” to REALITY? By electing America First, MAGA candidates to the US House and Senate (as well as to local school boards, and other local and state offices), that’s how! But what about cheating? Volunteer as a poll worker, poll observer, and/or outside-the-poll campaigner. Get trained (by your party), and also study the material at “Operation 2022 ELECTION OVERWATCH” if you can find time. Write to “We the People” at info@wtpevents.org to find out when they’re having online seminars. Or check in with NCEIT and access one of their programs.

I won’t sugar coat it. We’re up against some scum bags who will try to rig the election. If we don’t work VERY HARD, they WILL succeed. So let’s work VERY HARD! Something called ERIC was slipped into NC HB-103 thanks to Phil Berger (President Pro Tempore of the NC Senate) and Tim Moore (Speaker of the NC House) via traitorous deal they cut with “King” Roy. ERIC farms out how our voter rolls are maintained. In states that already have the system, the voter rolls are bloated just BEFORE each election, and they shrink just AFTER each election. Nice, huh?

We probably can’t ditch ERIC prior to the election, but there are things we can do. First, we can do the poll work mentioned above. Next, we can make phone calls to conservatives asking them to vote. Third, we can follow the advice from “We the People” and vote ON ELECTION DAY AFTER 3 p.m. If enough of us do that, it will make it difficult for the bad guys to know how many fraudulent votes they have to “find,” and we can WIN in spite of both Hell and high water –and we know that at least one of them will be involved!

Congress Needs To Make Some Serious Noise About This

Yesterday PJ Media posted an article about an incident at the federal lockup facility in Washington, D.C.

The article reports:

Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, Louis Gohmert and Paul Gosar showed up at the federal lockup facility currently housing roughly 50 January 6 detainees in order to inspect the conditions of the political prisoners. They were looking into accusations of mistreatment, including being denied access to lawyers, beatings, and solitary confinement. They were denied.

…The same four reps attempted to meet Attorney General Merrick Garland to discuss the treatment of the January 6 detainees last Tuesday, but they were not allowed in the building. They held a brief presser, which was shut down by commies after about 20 minutes.

The GOP reps have sent a combined six letters to Garland asking to meet with him. When all letters went unanswered, they took matters into their own hands and stopped by the DOJ for a visit. Today, they decided to stop by the hoosegow.

…The GOPers and an entourage of staffers and media attempted to gain access but didn’t get past the lobby. One guard accused them of trespassing and “obstructing” the entrance, to which Gohmert replied, “We are the people that vote on whether or not to fund you, and at what level, and we are trespassing? My gosh, the government is upside down.”

He continued, “We are cleared for top secret, and we do inspect facilities and I’ve never, ever, in the years I’ve been in Congress, ever run into an issue like this, until this administration took over, and this speaker took over.”

The article notes:

Gohmert compared the treatment of BLM and Antifa to the January 6 prisoners.

“It is so egregious to think about the people that have burned looted, destroyed–being immediately released,” Gohmert stated. “Whereas here we are understanding they [January 6 detainees] aren’t being shown the evidence against them, the specific charges. We’d like to see the conditions, how people are being treated here.”

This is banana-republic stuff. People need to be removed from office for preventing Congressional oversight. If after the Congressional oversight, unacceptable conditions are found, more people need to be removed from office.
