I have nothing good to say about the Iran deal. It funds terrorism, endangers America and Israel, and paves the way for an arms race in the Middle East. Now, Yahoo News is reporting something that makes it even worse.
The story reports:
Iran has discovered an unexpectedly high reserve of uranium and will soon begin extracting the radioactive element at a new mine, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation said on Saturday.
The comments cast doubt on previous assessments from some Western analysts who said the country had a low supply and would sooner or later would need to import uranium, the raw material needed for its nuclear program.
One wonders exactly when this mine was discovered. I am also amazed at some of the recent actions of Iran. It almost seems as if they are trying to prove that no matter how badly they behave, the Iranian nuclear deal will be approved by the Democrats in America (I believe that this is the first treaty in American history to pass with votes from only one political party). Lately they have been chanting “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” (nothing new, but I would think they would have toned it down until the agreement they say they want is approved). They seem to have little concern about how these statements will impact the agreement. Note that the news of the high reserve of uranium comes from Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization–an agency controlled by the government–not an outside source. The amount of chutzpah in Iran’s behavior as the nuclear deal is being voted on in Washington is totally amazing–particularly since there is $100 billion for Iran riding on this deal.
Something here is not making sense.
CNS News posted a story today stating that the Obama Administration has allowed the transfer of $550 million in Iran’s frozen oil revenues to the country under an interim nuclear deal. Wait a minute. Congress just cut $6 million from the federal budge (the cut was obtained by cutting the cost of living allowance on military pensions) because we needed to cut the budget. Where did this $550 million come from?
The article states:
The money is the first installment of $4.2 billion in blocked oil funds that were to be made available to Iran under the nuclear deal signed in November. Iran received limited sanctions relief in exchange for agreeing to curb its nuclear activities.
So we are transferring millions of dollars to Iran while Iran is saying they will not stop their nuclear weapons program. In what world does this make sense?
Yesterday CNS News reported that the Iran‘s Foreign Ministry has warned Iranians traveling in Canada to be alert to danger.
The article reports:
“Foreign Ministry said in a statement that based on current evidences, Islamphobia and Iranphobia have not stopped in Canada, rather escalated over the past few days,” reads a report from the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), which also quoted the ministry as stating, “Such a trend has influenced behavior of the governmental and non-governmental authorities in the country.”
The “Canadian government’s double-standard about human rights has been the focus of the world and Canadian public opinion,” said the Foreign Ministry.
Last month the Canadian government issued a statement warning Canadians not to travel to Iran. The educated guess is that this statement from Iran is a response to that statement.
The unfortunate part of this is that many people in Iran who do not have access to foreign media will believe this nonsense.
