Another Reason To Stop Funding And Leave The United Nations

The role of the United Nations in the Middle East is questionable at best. The fact that Hamas and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency had many of the same members should have been a wake-up call. Now, there is new news coming out of Gaza that confirms the corruption of the United Nations.

On Wednesday, The Gateway Pundit reported:

On Sunday, three Israeli hostages, Romi Gonen, Emily Damari, and Doron Steinbrecher, were released and handed over to the Red Cross.

The young women have now been reunited with their families.

However, disturbing details of their ordeal have surfaced, including that the three women were held for at least part of their 471 days in captivity within United Nations shelters.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared on X, “Former hostages Romi, Emily, and Doron were held in United Nations shelters in Gaza, which were meant for civilians. The UN refuses to condemn Hamas for hiding hostages in civilian spaces.”

The revelation underscores President Trump’s decision to suspend funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as part of a decision to suspend any foreign assistance for 90 days pending reviews.

In August 2024, The Gateway Pundit reported that UNRWA admitted that nine of its staff members may have been involved in the heinous Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

This admission is not just a minor oversight; it highlights a disturbing pattern of complicity and negligence within an organization that claims to uphold humanitarian values.

Hostage-taking is considered a war crime. The United Nations has participated in a number of war crimes in Israel and Gaza. The fact that UNRWA employees took part in the October 7th attacks and the fact that hostages were held in United Nations shelters should be enough to remove America from the United Nations and remove the United Nations from America. Depending on the condition of the building, the United Nations headquarters could be converted into really nice luxury condominiums. The tax revenue would help balance the budget in New York City and might even make the congestion tax unnecessary! The view of the river is beautiful.

There Is No Moral Equivalency Here

On November 13th, The U.K. Telegraph reported the following:

The IDF said it attempted to supply 300 litres of fuel for “urgent medical purposes” to Shifa hospital in Gaza City, but that Hamas prevented the hospital from receiving it – a charge which Hamas has denied.

Israeli troops said they placed the jerry cans of fuel close to the hospital, as had been coordinated with Shifa hospital officials.

“The IDF received evidence that Hamas officials prevented the hospitals from receiving the fuel,” the forces said.

Hamas denied it had refused 300 litres and said the offer “belittles the pain and suffering of the patients who are trapped inside without water, food, or electricity.”

It comes after three newborn babies died and dozens more were put at risk from a power outage caused by intense fighting nearby.

Late on Sunday, Al-Shifa and Gaza’s second largest hospital said they were suspending operations.

The article includes the following:

When Hamas decided to put their headquarters in a tunnel network under the hospital, they made the hospital a potential target. the Israeli Defense Forces have done everything they can to spare civilians, but when Hamas blocks fuel from the hospital, Hamas is guilty of war crimes. Civilized nations need to hold them accountable.

An Attempt At Lopsided Justice

MyWay News reported yesterday that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is seeking Palestinian admission to the International Criminal Court. The intention is for Palestine to charge Israel with war crimes.

The article reports:

Abbas made the announcement in the West Bank on Wednesday, a day after the U.N. Security Council failed to pass a resolution that had aimed to set a deadline for Israel to end its occupation of territories sought by the Palestinians.

Abbas had warned that if the resolution failed, he would resume a Palestinian campaign to join international organizations to put pressure on Israel.

Abbas’ decision is expected to trigger a harsh response from Israel.

Israel says all disputes should be resolved through peace talks, and such actions are aimed at bypassing negotiations.

This is a very interesting move.

This is a chart showing rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip since 2001. It is from the Israeli Defense Forces blog:

The fact that the originators of these rocket attacks on civilian targets want to charge Israel with war crimes would be laughable except that the International Criminal Court is so anti-Semitic the charges would probably be taken seriously.

As the Palestinians seek to charge Israel with war crimes, we might also remember the tunnels discovered in their recent war with Israel. In July 2014, I reported (rightwinggranny.com) that the Palestinians plan to use the tunnels to hide until schools and kindergartens were occupied. The terrorists would then attempt to kill the children first, and then kill and kidnap as many Israelis as possible.  This plot was set to take place during Jewish New Year, on September 24.

Israel is not the one who should be charged with war crimes.
