I Saw It In The News, It Must Be True–Not!

On Saturday, PJ Media posted an article about FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino’s reply to a New York Times article claiming that Trump’s “politicized FBI” has “made Americans less safe.”

The article reports:

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino wrote a scathing response to the article, calling it “precisely why hard-working Americans simply do not trust the media.” Bongino’s tweet, which quickly gained traction online, took direct aim at what he described as a “poorly thought out hit piece” that misrepresented the sweeping reforms he and Director Patel have implemented at the Bureau.

Bongino’s frustration was palpable as he laid out his case point by point, lambasting the Times for what he saw as a glaring lack of evidence to support their central claim. “The conclusion of the piece is so ridiculous that a child could debunk it,” Bongino wrote. He noted that the article’s authors “comically assert that you are ‘less safe’ because Kash and I have aggressively reformed the FBI. Yet, they produce NO evidence whatsoever to backup that claim. And the reason they don’t produced any evidence, is because the numbers tell the opposite story.”

Backing up his rebuttal with a barrage of statistics, Bongino offered a “small snippet of data points” that he says prove the effectiveness of the FBI’s new direction. Among the highlights, he touted the Bureau’s violent crime initiative, “Summer Heat,” which he notes has the murder rate “trending to be the lowest in U.S. history by a longshot.” He promised that “Summer Heat is coming to a city or town near you soon as we assist your community in removing criminal predators from the streets.”

Bongino didn’t stop there. He detailed that the FBI’s renewed focus on violent crime has led to the arrest of 14,000 violent criminals—a 62% increase from the same period last year. “We rescued over one hundred children from being preyed on, while arresting over 825 violent child predators, and 140 human traffickers,” he added.

It’s amazing how much the FBI can accomplish when it stops going after parents who attend school board meetings or attend the Catholic church.

Just another reason not to trust the mainstream media.

The FBI Is Doing Its Job

On Saturday, Fox News reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has successfully conducted investigations into large-scale sex predator operations.

The article reports:

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced on Saturday that during his and Director Kash Patel‘s first three months in office, the agency conducted large-scale sex predator operations, made multiple foreign intelligence and FBI “most wanted” arrests, and aided partners in immigration enforcement.

In an X post, Bongino said two child sex predator stings resulted in the rescues of hundreds of children.

Operation “Restoring Justice” apprehended 205 child sex predators and 764 purveyors, while rescuing 115 children, he said. A separate venture, Operation “Soteria Shield,” resulted in the apprehension of 244 child predators, and 109 children were rescued.

The article notes:

The FBI also apprehended, imprisoned, and deported thousands of illegal immigrants in coordination with federal partners.

More than 700 anti-ICE riot arrests were made in coordination with state and federal agents, as the FBI poured through data in pursuit of more bad actors.

The article concludes:

“We are not done,” Bongino said. “We are in the process of identifying and moving in on those who threw rocks at law enforcement officers and damaged property. I told you we would not forget. I wasn’t kidding. . . . We told you that the rioting was not going to slow us down. It has not. We are fully engaged.”

Though the FBI acknowledges there is more work to be done, he said to stay tuned on disclosures and the public corruption fronts.

“For those who have been patient with us, thank you,” Bongino said. “For those who are out of patience, thank you, too. Believe me, we understand. God bless America, and all those who defend Her.”

This is the result of an apolitical FBI that is free to do its job.

Inquiring Minds Want To Know…

On Monday, The Epoch Times posted an article about three investigations currently being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). These are three investigations that somehow were never quite concluded by the Biden administration.

The article reports:

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said on May 26 that the bureau is looking at launching investigations into cases of potential public corruption.

“Shortly after swearing in, [FBI Director Kash Patel] and I evaluated a number of cases of potential public corruption that, understandably, have garnered public interest,” Dan Bongino wrote in a post on social media platform X on the morning of May 26.

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and radio host, noted that they “made the decision to either re-open, or push additional resources and investigative attention, to these cases.”

One case that they are looking to target is the FBI investigation into the alleged pipe bombs left near the Democratic and Republican national committee buildings in Washington a day before the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach, he said.

The FBI said in 2024 that a $500,000 reward is still in effect for information leading to the arrest of the pipe bomb suspect. Earlier in 2025, David Sundberg, former assistant director in charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, told CNN that officials are seeking new leads.

“Maybe allegiances have changed or relationships have changed, and it’s time to report [on the suspect],” Sundberg told the outlet.

The article lists the two other cases:

Other cases that warrant more resources include one involving the discovery of cocaine in the White House in July 2023 and the leak of the Supreme Court’s decision that overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022, Bongino said.

“I receive requested briefings on these cases weekly and we are making progress,” he said in his post. “If you have any investigative tips on these matters that may assist us then please contact the FBI.”

The article also noted:

Meanwhile, Patel confirmed on May 18 that the FBI is investigating New York Attorney General Letitia James over her real estate transactions.

I am thankful that the American people may finally find out exactly who was involved in these crimes.
