A Terrorist Attack Avoided

On Tuesday, Red State posted an article about a foiled terrorist attack at the University of Delaware.

The article reports:

From the looks of it, this one could have been bad — really bad. Cops stopped a car that was in the park after hours in Wilmington, Delaware, in late November, and when the driver refused to exit the vehicle, officers detained him. What they found next was truly scary:

The article quotes and ABC News Chicago article:

Police searched the Tacoma and found several items inside, including a loaded handgun, extended magazines, body armor, a laptop and binoculars.

They also found a notebook, which allegedly contained notes on warfare techniques, assault plans, and a diagram of the University of Delaware Police Department.

…According to police, the notebook also mentioned a member of the University of Delaware Police Department by name and included a drawing of the department’s building with entry and exit points.

Federal authorities were contacted and searched his home, where they allegedly found a handgun equipped with an illegal “switch” to convert it into a machine gun.

…Within the vehicle, officers discovered a firearm, ammunition, and a composition notebook. In the handwritten notebook, Khan discussed additional weapons and firearms, how they could be used in an attack, and how law enforcement detection could be avoided once an attack was carried out.

The article notes:

The Department of Justice issued a statement saying that Khan faces serious charges:

The criminal complaint charges Khan with possessing a machinegun. If convicted of the charge, Khan faces a maximum penalty of 10 years of imprisonment. If Khan is ultimately convicted, a federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the New Castle County Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Samuel S. Frey and Kevin P. Pierce, and Criminal Chief Carly A. Hudson, are prosecuting the case.

The article concludes:

It looks like we came close to experiencing another tragic terrorist attack in this country by a seemingly unhinged individual. Great work by the heroes of the New Castle County Police Department, who made sure that didn’t happen.

I hope this individual spends a lot of time as a guest of the federal government.

At Some Point This Story Will Have To Be Reported On Honestly By The Mainstream Media

Today Just the News posted an article about a different area of concern regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop computer.

The article reports:

Rudy Giuliani, one of President Trump’s private attorneys, has reported to Delaware police concerns that materials on a laptop purportedly tied to Hunter Biden contained evidence of possible child endangerment.

Giuliani, a former U.S. attorney and New York City mayor, confirmed Tuesday night he went Monday to a local police department in Wilmington to report his concerns of children endangerment and sexual exploitation. Giuliani told Just the News that former New York Police Department commissioner Bernard Kerik joined him when he delivered photographs and text messages to the New Castle County Police Department.

“I told them other details about what appears to be an inappropriate sexual relationship,” he said in an interview. “They told me it would be investigated.”

I suspect we are about to find out how deep the corruption in our government is.

The article continues:

Giuliani said the materials he gleaned from the controversial laptop — which a Delaware computer shop owner alleges was left with him by Hunter Biden — gave him concern for the welfare of a minor girl. Giuliani declined to identify the alleged minor victim or who was in the photos.

“There are many texts which I gave to them that point out that family was concerned about the safety of the child,” Giuliani said. “I will tell you the evidence I gave them states it was reported to Joe Biden. What did he do about it?”

Kerik confirmed Wednesday he joined Giuliani in reporting the materials to police, suggesting the laptop content “raises serious questions as to Joe Biden‘s national security vulnerability.”

The article reminds us:

“The conduct falls under the mandatory reporting requirements for child endangerment,” Giuliani said. “If I was the U.S. attorney or the mayor or Bernie was still the commissioner, it would have been a crime for us not to report what we had.” 

The Delaware Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act mandates reporting by “any person, agency, organization, or entity who knows or in good faith suspects child abuse or neglect.”

It is interesting that the laptop is said to have been in the FBI’s possession since December 2019. Why did they choose to ignore what was on it?

Bloomberg.com is reporting today that A123 Systems Inc. (AONE), the electric car battery maker that received a $249 million federal grant, has filed for bankruptcy protection. The company says that it will sell its assets to Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI).

The article reports:

The company listed assets of $459.8 million and debt of $376 million as of Aug. 31 in Chapter 11 documents filed today in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Waltham, Massachusetts-based company said yesterday it expected to fail to make an interest payment due yesterday on $143.8 million of notes expiring in 2016.

The article further reports:

Electric-vehicle sales since 2011 totaled fewer than 50,000 through September, just 5 percent of Obama’s target to have 1 million such vehicles on U.S. roads by 2015.

The debtors’ two largest customers are Fisker and AES Energy Storage LLC and its affiliates, which accounted for about 26 percent and 24 percent of their total revenue during the year ended December 31, 2011, respectively, court papers show.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said last month that Obama has picked “losers” for alternative-energy loans and grants. His running mate, Paul Ryan, has called for all green-energy subsidies to be eliminated.

A123 has posted at least 14 straight quarterly losses. Its shares have fallen 85 percent this year to 24 cents at yesterday’s close in New York and traded at 16 cents at 8:29 a.m. before the start of regular trading.

I am really glad these people are not managing my stock portfolio; unfortunately, they are managing my country.
