Losing Our Rights As Parents

On Tuesday, The Daily Signal posted an article showing a frightening lack of  perspective on the part of some Americans.

The article reports:

Democrats were more than twice as likely as other voters to favor harsh government restrictions being placed on unvaccinated people’s lives, ranging from fines to loss of child custody, according to a recent poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute.

Forty-eight percent of Democratic voters said the government should be able to fine or imprison those who publicly question the COVID-19 vaccine’s efficacy, while only 27% of all voters supported the proposal, according to the poll results.

Don’t the people who want to fine or imprison those who question the vaccine’s efficacy want to ‘trust the science’?

The article continues:

Fines against those who refuse to take the vaccine were viewed favorably by 55% of Democratic voters and just 19% of Republicans, and 59% of Democrats favored a policy requiring unvaccinated people to stay inside their homes at all times, except for emergencies, the poll found. Seventy-nine percent of Republicans opposed a house arrest policy for unvaccinated people.

Forty-five percent of Democratic respondents favored the government forcing people into “designated facilities” until they get the vaccine—a measure opposed by 71% of all voters.

…Twenty-nine percent of Democratic voters said the government should take people’s children from them if they refuse to get the COVID-19 vaccine, a measure viewed favorably by 7% of Republicans and 11% of unaffiliated voters.

What in the world has happened to the Democrat party? Have they forgotten the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?

Scaring Us To Death In Order To Maintain Control

On Monday, Townhall posted an article about the Biden administration’s latest statement about the coronavirus. The comment made by White House Wuhan Coronavirus Coordinator Jeff Zients is not only frightening, it is totally misleading.

The article reports:

“We are intent on not letting Omicron disrupt work and school for the vaccinated. You’ve done the right thing, and we will get through this,” White House Wuhan Coronavirus Coordinator Jeff Zients said during a recent press briefing. “For the unvaccinated, you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families, and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm.” 

Merry Christmas.

That statement is totally misleading. Many Americans who have recovered from Covid have natural immunity. Many people who are vaccinated are not only coming down with Covid, they are also spreading the disease. The vaccines may (or may not–the jury is still out) lessen the severity of the symptoms. The vaccine does not prevent the disease or the spread of the disease.

The article at Townhall notes:

The statement from Zients is jarring, and given that vaccinated individuals also spread the disease, his remarks are unscientific. Further, doctors from South Africa and the UK have repeatedly said cases of the latest variant are mild among the vaccinated and unvaccinated. The variant is also not causing hospitals to be overwhelmed.

It is becoming obvious that the Biden White House is not interested in uniting Americans. When they can’t divide us along racial lines, they will divide us along vaccinated and unvaccinated lines. In either case, if we are focused on our differences, we won’t notice that our freedoms are being slowly taken away.

 

 

Prepare To Lose Your Freedom

The Epoch Times posted an article yesterday about President Biden’s plan to deal the with the coronavirus epidemic.

The article reports:

Ahead of President Joe Biden’s announcement Thursday about new COVID-19 measures, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that there may be new measures that will be imposed on unvaccinated people.

“There are six steps the president’s announcing, there will be new components,” Psaki told reporters on Wednesday. “Some of that will be related to access to testing, some will be related to mandates, some will be related to how we ensure kids will be protected in schools.”

When asked about how the new steps would impact Americans’ lives, Psaki said that “it depends on if you’re vaccinated or not.”

Psaki provided few details on what mandates could be imposed on unvaccinated Americans. On Tuesday, she told reporters on Air Force One that the federal government lacks the authority to mandate vaccines for everyone.

The article notes:

Data released daily by the CDC’s COVID-19 tracker suggests that the United States’ new cases and deaths may have hit a plateau or is on the decline. The seven day-average for cases as of Tuesday was 140,000 and deaths were 1,022, respectively, while as of Sept. 1, the seven-day average for cases was 156,000 and deaths were 1,141, respectively.

The president’s speech on Thursday could make reference to a recent announcement from the heads of several federal health agencies that third doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, or booster shots, would be provided around Sept. 20. However, the Food and Drug Administration has yet to approve the booster doses.

Already, Biden required all federal employees and contractors to get the COVID-19 vaccine or adhere to strict testing and social distancing protocols. He also ordered nursing homes to require their staff to get the vaccine to continue getting Medicare and Medicaid funding.

What seems to be coming down the pike is not Constitutional. Lawsuits need to be filed quickly. Hopefully we have enough freedom-loving judges in our justice system to put an end to this nonsense.
