Misleading People To Cause Division

As long as America is divided, we are not paying a lot of attention to what is happening in Washington. Therefore, it is to the advantage of some people to keep up divided. I am going to report on one instance of how this is done.

On Saturday, The Western Journal posted an article about the death of Keenan Anderson, 31. Keenan Anderson is the cousin of Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, who cited this case as the latest example of police brutality against blacks. Well, there are a few problems with her claim.

The article reports:

After Anderson’s death, Cullors posted his photograph to Instagram with the following message: “This is my cousin Keenan Anderson. He was killed by LAPD in Venice on January 3rd, 2023. My cousin was an educator and worked with high school aged children. He was an English teacher. LAPD has killed three people this year. One of them is my family member. Keenan deserves to be alive right now, his child deserves to be raised by his father. Keenan we will fight for you and for all of our loved ones impacted by state violence. I love you. JusticeForKeenan#BlackLivesMatter.”

However, the video from the body cameras of the police involved tell a very difference story:

The officer asked Anderson to sit down and he complied “for several minutes,” Muniz said. After backup arrived, Anderson got up and ran into the street. The officers ordered him to stop and “to get on the ground.”

“As the police tried to take Anderson into custody, he became increasingly agitated, uncooperative and resisted the officers,” she said.

An officer shouts “Get out of the street” to Anderson, who shouts back that, “Somebody’s trying to kill me, sir.”

Contrary to Cullors’ claims, the video shows the officer being extremely patient with Anderson.

Anderson tells him, “They’re trying to put stuff in my car.”

“Who’s trying to put stuff in your car?” the officer asks.

A message on the video said that seven minutes later, Anderson tried to run away again. The officer continued to be patient, even kind, to Anderson.

Please follow the link above the read the entire story. I don’t care what color you are, if you run from the police or refuse to cooperate, bad things happen. Read your news carefully, things are not always what they appear to be.

Retirements Have Consequences

Elections have consequences, and retirements have consequences. It has been no secret that President Biden appoints people based on race, gender or sexual orientation. He has specified numerous times that his choice to fill the vacant Supreme Court position will be a woman of color. That limits the field considerably.

On Tuesday, The U.K. Daily Mail reported the following:

President Joe Biden touted his appointment of Clinton confidant and Kamal Harris-bestie Minyon Moore to help him choose the first black female Supreme Court justice, but he never mentioned that she’s a Black Lives Matter board member, CRT promoter and supports the Defund the Police movement.

Moore’s deep blue political credentials go all the way back to Jesse Jackson’s 1984 and 1988 presidential campaigns.

But when the president announced that he would be setting up a board of advisors to help him with his SCOTUS pick and confirmation strategy he soft-peddled Moore’s history.

The article also notes:

He never mentioned her affiliation with BLM Global Network Foundation, which has consistently advocated for the dismantling and defunding of police departments across the country because they consider them racist institutions.

The foundation has found itself on the defensive after co-founder Patrisse Cullors resigned amid questions about the whereabouts of millions of dollars in donations.

The California Department of Justice demanded an accounting of the money. AmazonSmile, a charity network affiliated with the online commerce site, suspended donations to the organization.

BLM told Fox News that Moore ‘has been required to cease all involvement in matters pertaining to her work with Black Lives Matter while she is part of the White House confirmation team.’

The White House also failed to mention that Moore is tight with Columbia Law School professor and crucial Critical Race Theory advocate Kimberlé Crenshaw.

In a Facebook video Moore asks Crenshaw how to further spread the word on CRT to counter resistance, like Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s executive orders banning the teaching of the theory in public schools.

The Supreme Court was never apolitical. However, it would be nice if it at least gave the appearance of objectivity. Asking Minyon Moore to help with the choice of the new Supreme Court almost guarantees the the Supreme Court will be less objective–not more,

This Could Be Very Interesting

Yesterday The Daily Wire posted an article about a letter recently written to Vice-President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris by BLM co-founder and executive director Patrisse Cullors.

The article reports:

BLM co-founder and executive director Patrisse Cullors said members are “relieved that the Trump era in government is coming to a close,” adding, “As we celebrate his electoral demise, we also know that his political exit does not ensure an end to the intolerable conditions faced by Black people in America.”

On behalf of the BLM Global Network, Cullors wrote:

Without the resounding support of Black people, we would be saddled with a very different electoral outcome. In short, Black people won this election. Alongside Black-led organizations around the nation, Black Lives Matter invested heavily in this election. “Vote and Organize” became our motto, and our electoral justice efforts reached more than 60 million voters. We want something for our vote.

We want to be heard and our agenda to be prioritized. We issue these expectations not just because Black people are the most consistent and reliable voters for Democrats, but also because Black people are truly living in crisis in a nation that was built on our subjugation. Up until this point, the United States has refused to directly reckon with the way it devalues Black people and devastates our lives. This cannot continue. Black people can neither afford to live through the vitriol of a Trump-like Presidency, nor through the indifference of a Democrat-controlled government that refuses to wrestle with its most egregious and damnable shame.

I can guarantee that if Joe Biden ever sits in the White House, listening to the demands of Black Lives Matter will not bring the country together.

The following is from a post at rightwinggranny in September:

Black Lives Matter has recently scrubbed their website. However, on September 8, I wrote an article that included some quotes from a “What We Believe” page that was then on their website. I apologize for not taking a screenshot (it didn’t occur to me that they would take down the page)–I just copied the quotes. That page no longer exists on their website. When you read the following quotes from the page, you might make an educated guess as to why:

We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

Is this a voice you want creating American policy?
