{"id":698,"date":"2009-04-08T12:57:48","date_gmt":"2009-04-08T12:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=698"},"modified":"2009-04-08T12:57:48","modified_gmt":"2009-04-08T12:57:48","slug":"pirates_dont_seem_to_belong_in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=698","title":{"rendered":"Pirates Don&#8217;t Seem To Belong In This Century, But They Are With Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to today&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/seven\/04082009\/news\/worldnews\/somali_pirates_seize_ship__21_americans__163497.htm\">New York Post<\/a>, the American crew of the hijacked American cargo ship has retaken control of the ship.&nbsp;&nbsp;The information is preliminary, but it was reported that the crew had reported to the private company that owns the ship that they were safe and in control.&nbsp; There are also reports that they have captured one of the pirates.<\/p>\n<p>It is ironic that the ship was carrying emergency relief aid to Mombasa, Kenya, when it was hijacked.<\/p>\n<p>According to the article:<\/p>\n<p jquery1239209818947=\"27\"><em>&#8220;Somali pirates are trained fighters who frequently dress in military fatigues and use speedboats equipped with satellite phones and GPS equipment. They are typically armed with automatic weapons, anti-tank rocket launchers and various types of grenades.
