On Thursday, The New York Post<\/a> posted an article about President Trump’s war on fraud. This is one war that will have some immediate results and a lot of long-term results.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s one war that should\u2019ve started years ago: Team Trump\u2019s drive to stamp out fraud is still ramping up, but is already saving the public billions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week alone, federal, state and local authorities conducted a string of fresh raids and made arrests, including in New York<\/a> and California<\/a>, as part of a nationwide crackdown on Medicaid fraud.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Homeland Security also launched<\/strong><\/a> a massive operation to snare illegal immigrants who fraudulently stole $40 million in food stamps, bringing the total in food-stamp fraud ID\u2019d so far to $641 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The feds have also destroyed more than 2,200 illegal merchant SNAP devices and disabled more than 2,000 retailer authorization numbers, heading off an estimated $5 billion<\/em> in potential fraudulent transactions, Fox New reported<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

…And in Staten Island, prosecutors arrested<\/a> two operators for $530,000 in billings for hundreds of phantom seniors. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

All this follows the epic fraud scheme uncovered last year in Minnesota, where billions <\/em>are said to have vanished.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One day-care center there alone, made famous by its misspelled name, the \u201cQuality Learing Center,\u201d was caught collecting millions for nonexistent kids.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last month, a LexisNexis Risk Solutions study put the true cost of food-stamp fraud \u2014 including the costs of uncovering it \u2014 at more than four times<\/em> the amount of the theft itself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company\u2019s Haywood Talcove says such fraud is now running at \u201ca trillion dollars a year.\u201d Ouch.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As of August 2026, the U.S. federal government’s budget deficit is approximately $1.97 trillion, so currently the fraud uncovered represents more than half of the deficit.<\/p>\n

In Minnesota, a report found Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison not only turned a blind eye<\/a> to the thefts, they actually \u201cretaliated against employees who tried to raise concerns.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In New York, which spends more on Medicaid than any other state, Attorney General Letitia James\u2019 Medicaid Fraud Control Unit has the worst prosecution record<\/a> in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fortunately, President Donald Trump\u2019s crackdown, under the leadership of Vice President JD Vance, will send an unmistakable message<\/a> to the scammers: The jig\u2019s up.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trump is even offering $30,000 bounties<\/a> (plus 1% of funds recovered) for tips leading to fraud indictments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By nabbing current fraudsters and frustrating future ones, this war on fraud should keep paying off for generations \u2014 as long as Democrats don\u2019t quietly undo the good work.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For now, it\u2019s hats off to Trump, Vance and the rest: At last, someone <\/em>is fighting for taxpayers.<\/strong><\/p>\n
