Employees at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago are unionizing over their working conditions, claiming benefits have been cut and workloads are increasing just four months after the center opened in June.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Workers circulated a letter to staff Wednesday announcing their intent to unionize, complaining about \u201cincreasing\u201d workloads and \u201cvague responses\u201d from administrators to a list of complaints they\u2019d raised, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some of the complaints suggested the $900 million presidential center \u2014 often maligned for resembling the Star Wars Death Star or a huge trash bin \u2014 could already be facing financial trouble.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The article notes that there is a high turnover rate at the Library due to a halting of raises and promotions, increased healthcare costs, and a reduction in paid time off. This is no way to run a library or a business. President Obama can blame the increase in healthcare costs on ObamaCare, which was his signature law when he was President. According to AI, since ObamaCare was enacted in 2010, healthcare premiums have nearly tripled. and deductibles have more than doubled. In 2025, some ObamaCare premiums rose by up to 59 percent.<\/p>\n

The Democrats seem to have a problem with understanding basic business models. Their business decisions after they leave office do not always have good results.
