On Friday, The Daily Signal<\/a> (and the rest of the media) reported that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard will be resigning her post effective June 30. Her husband has an aggressive form of bone cancer, and the lady has her priorities in order–she is resigning to take care of him.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

Gabbard says her husband, Abraham, \u201cfaces major challenges in the coming weeks and months,\u201d and she \u201cmust step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026,\u201d the letter says.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gabbard\u2019s letter to the president adds that she is \u201cdeeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for the last year and a half.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The intelligence chief believes she \u201cmade significant progress at the ODNI\u201d over her tenure, which includes \u201cadvancing unprecedented transparency and restoring integrity in the intelligence community.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

During her tenure as director of national intelligence, Gabbard initiated a restructuring of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence called \u201cODNI 2.0,\u201d with which she sought to right-size the intelligence community under the belief that the office had become bloated.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gabbard<\/a> also launched initiatives aimed at \u201celiminating politicization and weaponization within the intelligence community.\u201d She dismissed, reassigned, or revoked security clearances from individuals in the intelligence community she believed were responsible for politicizing intelligence<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
