{"id":59573,"date":"2025-05-26T15:46:33","date_gmt":"2025-05-26T19:46:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=59573"},"modified":"2025-05-26T15:46:33","modified_gmt":"2025-05-26T19:46:33","slug":"i-dont-think-this-is-what-the-founding-fathers-had-in-mind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=59573","title":{"rendered":"I Don&#8217;t Think This Is What The Founding Fathers Had In Mind"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2025\/05\/25\/former-biden-aide-admits-staff-felt-justified-undemocratic-things-stop-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Breitbart<\/a> posted an article about how some of the White House staff under President Biden viewed their jobs.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>A former aide to President Joe Biden said White House staff felt justified doing \u201cundemocratic things\u201d in order to stop the \u201cexistential threat\u201d that was Donald Trump.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Axios reporter Alex Thompson revealed on <em>Fox News Sunday<\/em> with Shannon Bream that White House insiders revealed to him they often viewed themselves as the decision makers in the Biden administration and were shielded from the president\u2019s oversight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cIf you believe \u2014 and I think a lot of these people do sincerely believe \u2014 that Donald Trump was and is an existential threat to democracy, you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things,\u201d Thompson\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/grabien.com\/file\/getmedia?id=2951426&amp;key=1b09019e9b72b5cf92dcd77be7c08813&amp;userid=9031\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener external\">said<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Another aide also reportedly told Thompson that former President Biden \u201cjust had to win, and then he could disappear for four years.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cHe\u2019d only have to show proof of life every once in a while,\u201d Thompson said the aide told him. \u201cHis aides could pick up the slack.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cWhen you\u2019re voting for president, you\u2019re voting for the aides around him,\u201d the aide said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No, actually you are voting for the president and his policies.
