{"id":59235,"date":"2025-04-26T15:48:56","date_gmt":"2025-04-26T19:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=59235"},"modified":"2025-04-26T15:48:56","modified_gmt":"2025-04-26T19:48:56","slug":"the-law-only-counts-sometimes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=59235","title":{"rendered":"The Law Only Counts Sometimes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2025\/04\/25\/dem-wi-rep-dugan-obstructed-fascism-ice-administrative-warrants-are-meaningless\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Breitbart<\/a> posted an article about a recent comment by Wisconsin State Representative Ryan Clancy (D).<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>On Friday\u2019s broadcast of CNN\u2019s \u201cOutFront,\u201d Wisconsin State Rep. Ryan Clancy (D) stated that Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan \u201cdidn\u2019t obstruct justice. She obstructed fascism\u201d because all the ICE agents had was an administrative warrant, which he argued don\u2019t mean anything.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Clancy said, \u201c[W]e\u2019re talking about an administrative warrant. We\u2019re talking about something that ICE puts together internally. It\u2019s like me walking around with a note in my pocket saying, Rep. Clancy can do whatever he wants. I do have one of those, but it doesn\u2019t mean anything, right? They did not present an actual warrant signed by an actual judge. So Judge Dugan was in her rights in doing what she did, she didn\u2019t obstruct justice. She obstructed fascism in this case.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>He further stated that even if there was a judicial warrant, \u201cit does not make sense, we should not have ICE agents in a protected space like a courtroom, any more than you\u2019d want ICE agents going into an operating room or a classroom.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We used to think it was a good idea to arrest people who broke the law regardless of their physical location. If a bank robber is hiding in a church, should the police arrest him there? Does it matter what kind of a warrant they may or may not have?<\/p>\n<p>It is amazing to me the lengths the current Democrat party will go to protect the imaginary civil rights of non-citizens. Somehow they were much less concerned with the rights of the people who walked through the Capitol building on January 6th, 2021. The majority of the people who walked through those doors after the police invited them in were denied their civil rights. There are accounts of beatings and other mistreatment. Where was the ACLU and the Democrat party?
