The U.S. Department of Agriculture granted Southern University Agricultural & Mechanical College in Louisiana $600,000 to study menstrual cycles in \u201ctransgender men,\u201d according to a new database compiled by the American Principles Project.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0database<\/a>, \u201cFunding Insanity: Federal Spending on Gender Ideology under Biden-Harris,\u201d states the school \u201cwill Study Menstrual Cycles in \u2018Transgender Men And People With Masculine Gender Identities, Intersex, And Non-Binary Persons.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe first occurrence of menstruation occurs at approximately 12 years of age and ends with menopause at roughly 51 years of age,\u201d the\u00a0grant description<\/a>\u00a0states. \u201cA woman will have a monthly menstrual cycle for about 40 years of her life, averaging to about 450 periods over the course of her lifetime.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is also important to recognize that transgender men and people with masculine gender identities, intersex and non-binary persons may also menstruate,\u201d it states. \u201cAt any given moment about 26% of the world\u2019s population is menstruating.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

So what? Why do I care about men pretending to be women menstruating?<\/p>\n

The article concludes:<\/p>\n

Reached by\u00a0The Fix<\/em>, an APP spokesman said the grant and others listed in the database are \u201cthe tip of the iceberg.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that this is just the tip of the iceberg. Our project looked only at grants and contracts that specifically pertained to gender ideology in some way. But there is far more spending out there relating to DEI, critical race theory, and other left-wing ideologies that we did not capture here,\u201d Paul Dupont told\u00a0The Fix\u00a0<\/em>via email.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a great deal of work that still needs to be done to identify and hopefully eliminate this graft. DOGE [Department of Government Efficiency] is going to have some busy weeks and months ahead,\u201d Dupont said.<\/strong><\/p>\n
