For whatever reason, the Democrat party seems to be reluctant to cut government spending. They do not seem to be particularly concerned about the waste and possible fraud that is occurring. Because the Republican majority in the Senate is not enough to break a filibuster, the Democrats can easily block any savings the Republicans try to pass. Well, there may be another way to approach this that will result in the savings to taxpayers that the American voters want. For the sake of this article, I will ignore the fact that the Democrats are taking a political risk in opposing spending cuts.<\/p>\n
