Biden won, paving the way for President-elect Donald Trump to wield executive power that the Democrats will end up wishing he didn\u2019t have.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and former Office of Management and Budget director Russell Vought <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/07\/12\/sean-spicer-russell-vought-lawsuit-biden-00045335\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sought<\/a> to block their removal from the U.S. Naval Academy\u2019s Board of Visitors in 2021 after Biden took office.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>U.S. District Court Judge Dabney Friedrich ruled that the lawsuit should be dismissed, citing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/10\/8468\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">U.S. Code<\/a> stating\u00a0that executive officials are not insulated from presidential removal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>While it\u2019s possible that Spicer and Vought enjoyed their term on the U.S. Naval Academy\u2019s Board of Visitors, Spicer said the lawsuit against Biden had an alternative motive. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/washington-secrets\/3254409\/trump-can-fire-anybody-he-wants-thanks-to-sean-spicer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wanted<\/a> to make it easy for Trump, should he become president again, to have the authority to remove Biden\u2019s presidential appointees, even ones who still had time left on their term<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>&#8230;There has been a lot of chatter by Democrats about whether Trump has the authority to fire presidential appointees. Before FBI director Christopher Wray resigned, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Democrat Sen.
