On November 23, Breitbart<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n Moscow\u2019s ambassador to Britain asserted that the United Kingdom is now \u201cdirectly involved\u201d in the war in Ukraine after Kyiv used British-made Storm Shadow long-range missiles to strike targets inside Russia.<\/strong><\/p>\n In the wake of outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden\u2019s reported decision to allow Ukraine to use American long-range ballistic missiles to attack the Russian interior, London was seemingly quick to follow suit, with reports this week that Kyiv used UK-made Storm Shadows<\/a> to hit targets in the\u00a0Kursk region of Russia, where Ukrainian forces waged a surprise counter-invasion over the summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n …Meanwhile, Russia unveiled what it is describing as a new hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) dubbed Oreshnik, striking<\/a>\u00a0Ukrainian targets in Dnipro on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n Mr Putin claimed that the use of the weapon was justified following Ukraine\u2019s deployment of British Storm Shadows and U.S. ATACMS long-range missiles to strike within Russia, saying<\/a>: \u201cThe regional conflict in Ukraine has acquired elements of a global character.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n According to Russian state media, the\u00a0Oreshnik is designed to travel at\u00a0Mach 10 (7,600 miles\/12,200km per hour) or around ten times the speed of sound. Kyiv has claimed<\/a> that the missile that struck\u00a0Dnipro actually hit speeds of Mach 11.<\/strong><\/p>\n Russia has asserted that the IRBM is difficult to intercept because of its hypersonic capability, with Putin claiming: \u201cThere are no means of counteracting Oreshnik-type complexes in the world.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n We need a skilled negotiator to come in and end this war before it goes nuclear. President Trump understands financial leverage (the Biden administration does not seem to grasp that concept) and knows how to use it. If American floods the world oil market, Russia can no longer afford to fight the war in Ukraine and Iran can no longer afford to fund terrorism.
