About $100,000 went toward that project.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The U.S. government also spent nearly one million on a study to see if cocaine makes Japanese quail more \u201csexually promiscuous.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>It does not end there, either. The U.S. government also spent $750,000 to determine if Neil Armstrong\u2019s famed line was actually \u201cOne small step for man\u201d or \u201cone small step for \u2018a\u2019 man.\u201d DOGE pointed out that the study was \u201cinconclusive.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The clip shared by DOGE also features Sen. Paul noting that $2 million was spent on the \u201cconstruction of a kelp and shellfish nursery in Maine.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Paul continued: \u201c$1.5 million to encourage video gaming in New York. \u2026 We might be better off spending 1.5 million to discourage kids from a playing video games. \u2026 $388,000 for Columbia University \u2026 $249,000 for the Baltimore Symphony, give money to all the symphonies.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article concludes:<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>\u201cWell, they can get rid of the bureaucrats, for sure. There\u2019s certainly things that they can do on that front. But you know, as an example, Congress created the Environmental Protection Agency. Congress created the Department of Education. Nothing says that they have to have 4,500 employees at the Department of Education,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2024\/11\/14\/exclusive-rep-warren-davidson-elon-musk-and-vivek-ramaswamy-can-get-rid-of-the-bureaucrats\/\">told<\/a><em> Breitbart News Daily<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The post follows DOGE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/elon-musk-vivek-ramaswamy-to-lead-trumps-new-department-of-government-efficiency\/\">stating<\/a> that they are looking for \u201chigh-IQ small-government revolutionaries willing to work 80+ hours per week on unglamorous cost-cutting.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>President Trump has promised to cut taxes. Cutting taxes generally grows the economy and helps draw down the deficit. Another way to draw down the deficit is to stop ridiculous spending projects. A third way to draw down the deficit is to increase energy production so that the cost of energy goes down.
