Today, The New York Post<\/a> posted a disturbing article about the improper actions of an ignorant flight attendant on Delta Airlines.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

A Marine Corps veteran was removed from a Delta flight before she was ordered to change clothes when a flight attendant ruled that the passenger\u2019s shirt which brought attention to military suicides was \u201cthreatening.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Catherine Banks, a 22-year veteran of the Marines, was onboard the Delta flight at San Francisco International Airport to visit family on Oct. 16, when she wore her dark gray outfit and sat in her extra-legroom seat she paid extra.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A male flight attendant approached Banks and was confused when he tried to get her attention.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Ma\u2019am, ma\u2019am.\u2019 I looked around, like, \u2018Who was he talking to?\u2019 And it was me. He said, \u2018You need to get off the plane,\u2019 and I was like, \u2018What did I do?’\u201d Banks <\/strong>told KNTV.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Banks complied and was escorted off the plane and onto the jet bridge where she finally learned why she was removed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said that shirt you\u2019re wearing is threatening,\u201d she said. \u201cI said, \u2018Are you kidding me?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

A dumbfounded Banks questioned the Delta employee before explaining that she was a veteran.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a Marine Corps vet. I\u2019m going to see my Marine sister. I\u2019ve been in the Marine Corps for 22 years and worked for the Air Force for 15 years. I\u2019m going to visit her.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Banks\u2019 military background did not phase the flight attendant who issued her an ultimatum to return to the plane.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care about your service, and I don\u2019t care about her service. The only way you\u2019re going to get back on the plane is if you take it off right now,\u201d Banks recalled.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After she changed her shirt and got back on the plane, she was given a different seat than the extra-legroom seat she had paid for.<\/p>\n

Suicides among active-duty military members are reportedly at an all-time high since 9\/11, when records began, according to the USO. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Over 30,000 active duty personnel and veterans who served in the military after 9\/11 have died by suicide \u2013 compared to the 7,057 service members killed in combat in those same 20 years, according to <\/strong>research published in 2021.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The ignorant flight attendant needs to be educated and penalized for his actions. The veteran deserves free flights on Delta for the rest of her life!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
