On Monday, Townhall<\/a> posted an article updating the situation regarding the apartments taken over by the Venezuelan gang in Aurora, Colorado. It’s not a pretty picture.<\/p>\n

A Colorado landlord has agreed to sell an apartment complex because it was taken over by the violent Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the New York Post, landlord Zev Baumgarten had been fighting with Aurora, Colorado leadership after the city accused him of allowing Aspen Grove apartments to become a \u201ctrash-ridden, gang-infested hellhole.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

…Now, Baumgarten\u2019s company has now agreed to sell, lease, or find some \u201csimilar disposition\u201d for the complex. The complex was closed in August, reportedly displacing 300 residents. His company must pay to clean up the site (via NYP<\/a>):<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite this, Democrat Gov. Jared Polis called the anger and fear that\u2019s arisen from this situation \u201cimagination.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Polis\u2019 press office offered the \u201csnarky\u201d statement in response to the New York Post\u2019s reporting on the issue.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Governor has already let the Mayor know that the State is ready to support the local police department with assistance from state troopers and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation if needed,\u201d Shelby Wieman, a spokesperson for the Democratic governor, told The Post<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cBut, according to police intelligence this purported invasion is largely a feature of Danielle Jurinsky\u2019s imagination,\u201d Wieman added. Jurinsky is a member of the Aurora City Council and has sounded the alarm on the illegal immigration crisis impacting the community.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
