On Wednesday, Townhall<\/a> posted an article about a common factor among some\u00a0 of the people attempting to remove President Trump’s name from the presidential primary ballot.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

Maine’s Secretary of State Shenna Bellows claims to be unbiased when\u00a0she ruled that Trump is disqualified<\/a>\u00a0from running in the state’s 2024 presidential race. But Bellows, the Democrat whose\u00a0Dec. 28 ruling<\/a>\u00a0booted Trump off the Republican primary ballot in the northeasternmost U.S. state, previously cashed in on Soros family money.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Federal Election Commission (FEC) records<\/a>, during her doomed U.S. Senate bid against Republican incumbent Sen. Susan Collins in 2014, Bellows received\u00a0a $2,600 donation<\/a>\u00a0from Andrea Soros, the daughter of billionaire investor George Soros, who notoriously spends his wealth influencing local elections across America by bankrolling the campaigns of Democrat picks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The article notes:<\/p>\n

Maine was the second state to officially declare Trump ineligible. In Colorado, the state Supreme Court\u00a0decided on Dec. 19<\/a>\u00a0to enforce Trump’s disqualification.\u00a0Leading the charge<\/a>\u00a0in the Colorado case to ensure Trump’s removal is the Orwellian-named Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). Between FY 2017 and 2021, CREW was given more than\u00a0$2.8 million in grants<\/a>\u00a0by the Foundation to Promote Open Society, which\u00a0acts<\/a>\u00a0as one of Soros’s two chief grantmaking vehicles, for “general support” and “support[ing] political advocacy on ethics in government,” according to an Open Society Foundations database.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And another one…<\/p>\n

Spurred by Colorado’s decision, California’s Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis followed suit,\u00a0<\/span>requesting<\/a><\/span>\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>a Dec. 20 letter<\/a><\/span>\u00a0that the state’s Secretary of State Shirley Weber\u00a0<\/span>“explore every legal option”<\/a><\/span>\u00a0to remove Trump from the presidential primary ballot there.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kounalakis, too, is a Soros recipient. According to\u00a0<\/span>campaign finance records<\/a><\/span>, Soros and his wife Tamiko Bolton Soros,\u00a0<\/span>another Open Society Foundations board member<\/a><\/span>, handed over a total of $45,400 to bolster Kounalakis’ successful\u00a0<\/span>2018 campaign<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>2022 re-election<\/a><\/span>.\u00a0Now,\u00a0Kounalakis is\u00a0gunning for the California governorship in 2026. Last year, Soros gave Kounalakis\u00a0<\/span>an additional\u00a0<\/a>$36,400,<\/a><\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>maximum amount allowed<\/a><\/span>, just a few months after she launched her bid to succeed Gov. Gavin Newsom.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

And in conclusion…<\/p>\n

Free Speech for the People is the 501(c)(3)organization that filed a flurry of lawsuits across multiple states to bar Trump from the ballot by claiming that he violated the\u00a014th Amendment’s little-used “insurrection” clause (Section 3)<\/a>. Dubbed the nationwide\u00a0“14Point3 Campaign”<\/a>\u00a0in reference to the constitutional provision, the left-of-center nonprofit advanced 14th Amendment challenges in\u00a0Minnesota<\/a>,\u00a0Michigan<\/a>,\u00a0Oregon<\/a>, and\u00a0Illinois<\/a>\u00a0as well as organized the most recent\u00a0Massachusetts complaint<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

…In the past, Free Speech for the People was partly funded through grants awarded by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, which has received $1.5 million in funding<\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0Foundation to Promote Open Society<\/a>, a primary Soros grantmaker. Between 2013 and 2017, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund gave Free Speech for the People\u00a0$275,000 in grants<\/a>, according to archived 990-PF forms.<\/strong><\/p>\n
