On Friday, Red State<\/a> posted an article about the indictment of Hunter Biden. The article quotes\u00a0George Washington University Law School Professor Jonathan Turley.<\/p>\n

Professor Turley notes:<\/p>\n

“There are three glaring omissions in the indictment that tend to shield critical payments and conduct that implicate the president,” Turley wrote.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Burisma-Ukrainian money<\/strong><\/p>\n

First, the special counsel only indicts tax evasion that occurred in recent years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u2019s because the long \u201cinvestigation\u201d into Hunter inexplicably allowed the statute of limitations to expire on the most controversial payments from Ukraine gas company Burisma.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recent testimony from IRS whistleblowers suggests that wasn\u2019t an accident. Investigators were stonewalled, they claimed, and the Justice Department was previously moving to reject\u00a0any\u00a0<\/em>charges against Hunter Biden.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yep, nowhere to be found in the indictment. Here’s Turley:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recently, the Justice Department\u00a0added a charge<\/a>\u00a0to the indictment of Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) that he ran afoul of FARA, the Foreign Agents Registration Act. FARA also was used to go after Donald Trump associates such as Paul Manafort.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The problem with charging Hunter with FARA is obvious.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It opens up questions about the millions of dollars going to the Biden family from foreign sources, a topic that Attorney General Merrick Garland has spent years avoiding.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hunter, the Unindicted Co-Conspirator<\/strong><\/p>\n

“By focusing on tax evasion alone,” wrote Turley, “Weiss again avoids any direct reference to the focus of the influence-peddling used to raise these millions of dollars.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

However, he opined:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even without mentioning the president, the implications of the indictment are devastating for the narrative and denials of Joe Biden.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The president has continued to maintain that he had no knowledge or interaction with these dealings. Those statements are clearly and knowingly false.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The president also maintained that his son has \u201cnever done anything wrong<\/a>\u201d and\u00a0never accepted any money from China<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is also untrue, according to the Justice Department and Hunter himself.<\/strong><\/p>\n
