The company has received<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0more than\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-weight: 400;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.americanthinker.com\/blog\/2023\/08\/joe_bidens_solyndra_bus_to_nowhere.html\">$8 billion in seed money<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> given to it by the federal government. The company declared bankruptcy this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Joyce sits on what is known as the ITA, or the International Trade Administration, and according to\u00a0a\u00a0<em>Washington Examiner<\/em>\u00a0report out today on the matter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><strong>Under the International Trade Administration, the group \u2018advises the President of government policies and programs that affect U.S. trade performance; promotes export expansion; and provides a forum for discussing and resolving trade-related problems among the business, industrial, agricultural, labor, and government sectors.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>If someone received billions of dollars, and\u00a0<em>still<\/em>\u00a0can\u2019t keep a company afloat, then\u00a0<em>clearly<\/em>\u00a0their idea is terrible, or they blow at running a business\u2014or realistically, probably both.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article concludes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Furthermore, Proterra\u2019s demise specifically presents like Solyndra under Barack Obama\u2014for more on this, read a blog I wrote on the issue a few weeks back\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanthinker.com\/blog\/2023\/10\/entire_fleet_of_jacksons_rechargeable_buses_out_of_commission_public_transit_service_falls_back_on_the_everreliable_diesel_engine.html\">here<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Yet, thanks to a criminal and unconstitutional tax code, and corrupt politicians, I have no say whatsoever in who my seized wealth subsidizes.\u00a0This is the modus operandi of the Establishment though\u2014Jackass and Elephant alike\u2014 running political popularity contests while we foot the bill.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Would you be surprised to learn that Proterra was once\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.proterra.com\/press-release\/proterra-among-24-companies-recognized-as-a-leading-global-technology-pioneer\/\">recognized<\/a>\u00a0by the World Economic Forum as a \u201cTechnology Pioneer\u201d?
