President Biden has not been the middle-of-the-road President many Americans voted for. His policies have represented an element in the Democrat party that is not in tune with most Americans. Some politicians are seeing the writing on the wall and realizing the damage this President has done to the Democrat party. The current Democrat party is not the party of your grandfather or even your father. John F. Kennedy would be thrown out of today’s Democrat party for being too conservative!<\/p>\n
On Sunday, Liberty One<\/a> reported the following:<\/p>\n This week, Dov Hikind \u2013 a long-time Brooklyn Democratic politician and activist \u2013 announced his departure from the Democratic Party and his new affiliation as a self-identifying Republican.<\/strong><\/p>\n His announcement came in the midst of the Democrats\u2019 ideological shift to the left, which has caused many traditionalists within the party to become increasingly fed up and more politically aligned with their opposition.<\/strong><\/p>\n Hikind represented his Brooklyn neighborhood for three dozen years in the New York State Assembly and later founded Americans Against Antisemitism.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s official: My wife and I have switched our party affiliation from Democrat to Republican!\u201d he tweeted. \u201c[People] have long been asking, \u2018Dov, when are you gonna leave the Democratic Party?\u2019 Well, the time has come [because] the Dems have turned their back on Jews & Israel, so it\u2019s officially done!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Hikind\u2019s post included a video of him and his wife, Shani, both explaining why they left the Democratic Party to join the GOP.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI have been a lifelong Democrat \u2014 my family, my parents. But that\u2019s over. That\u2019s finished,\u201d said Hikind. \u201cI have decided to register as a Republican. Unfortunately, the Democratic Party has become so radicalized \u2026 that people who are moderates or conservative Democrats are not welcomed in the Democratic Party, and I\u2019ve had enough.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n He is not the only Democrat feeling this way.<\/p>\n The article notes:<\/p>\n Earlier this month, another Democrat fed up with her party\u2019s direction bailed and became a Republican.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cMesha Mainor \u2013 a Democrat who has represented District 56 in the Georgia state House since January 2021 \u2013 will announce shortly before noon Tuesday that she will switch her party registration to Republican,\u201d Fox News reported exclusively.<\/strong><\/p>\n Mainor told Fox News that when she decided to stand up for disadvantaged children or support safe communities by refusing to defund police forces, her Democrat colleagues did not back her, instead they abandoned her.<\/strong><\/p>\n These decisions may be based on practicalities rather than principles (pardon my cynicism), but as Americans’ standard of living goes down and President Biden’s approval ratings go down, this is probably a wise political decision.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" President Biden has not been the middle-of-the-road President many Americans voted for.
