{"id":506,"date":"2009-02-05T06:53:41","date_gmt":"2009-02-05T06:53:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=506"},"modified":"2009-02-05T06:53:41","modified_gmt":"2009-02-05T06:53:41","slug":"sleight_of_hand_is_an_amazing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=506","title":{"rendered":"Sleight Of Hand Is An Amazing Thing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While we were all focused on the tax woes of Tom Daschle and the stumus bill (called in various places &#8216;the porkulus bill&#8217;, or &#8216;the spendulus bill&#8217;), President Obama raised our taxes.&nbsp; Well, he only raised them on a percentage of the population, so if you are not in that percentage, it&#8217;s not really important, right?&nbsp; He&#8217;s been in office less than two weeks and someone&#8217;s taxes have already gone up&#8211;not a good sign for the future.&nbsp; What I am talking about?&nbsp; Yesterday the S-Chip bill was signed by the President.&nbsp; According to <a href=\"http:\/\/townhall.com\/news\/politics-elections\/2009\/02\/04\/details_from_childrens_health_insurance_bill\">Townhall.com<\/a>, this is roughly what is in it:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Provides an additional $32.8 billion through Sept. 30, 2013, by increasing federal excise taxes on tobacco products.
