Under the Biden administration’s policies, there are some real questions as to what the actual rights of parents are.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, The Daily Wire<\/a> posted the following headline:<\/p>\n These are the examples cited in the article:<\/p>\n \u201cThere are more than 600 pieces of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation out there,\u201d Jean-Pierre said<\/a> at the GLAAD Media Awards. \u201cA few hundred of them are anti-trans communities, and that matters because we have to call that out. And we\u2019ve never seen this level. It\u2019s historic in the number of pieces of legislation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Perhaps the response is \u201chistoric\u201d because it seems like the Left is attempting to convince the world that child mutilation is good and changing \u201cgenders\u201d is real for the first time in history en masse.<\/strong><\/p>\n Regardless, Jean-Pierre continued, \u201cI\u2019ve met a lot of parents of trans kids in the past couple of months who have told me these devastating stories, whether they\u2019re in Texas or Oklahoma or wherever they are, saying how they now have to seriously consider leaving their state to protect their child. That\u2019s something that we have to call out and continue to be very clear about. These are kids. These are our kids. They belong to all of us.\u201c<\/span> (emphasis added)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n If these kids belong to all of us, how come no one ever offered to pay for my kids’ braces?<\/p>\n The article continues with two more examples:<\/p>\n Friday afternoon, Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona tweeted, \u201cTeachers know what is best for their kids<\/span> because they are with them every day. We must trust teachers.\u201d (emphasis added)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n And finally:<\/p>\n But let\u2019s check in on one teacher, a member of the public servant class that serves as the supposed voice of wisdom as praised by Cardona. Jenna Barbee, a fifth-grade teacher in Florida\u2019s Hernando County School District, had some thoughts<\/a> on when parental rights start and end this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n Florida has a parental rights law that now bans education on gender identity and sexual orientation unless it is related to the curriculum. Barbee recently decided to show a film featuring LGBTQ themes. Parents obviously took umbrage with that \u2014 arguing it\u2019s not Barbee\u2019s job to teach that sort of stuff.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWhat she\u2019s missing and what these parents are missing is that they\u2019re not in the school system,\u201d Barbee said in response. \u201cThese conversations, these doors that she\u2019s talking about, telling me that I\u2019m stripping her rights as a parent \u2014 those rights are gone when your child is in the public school system because there are students talking about these things.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Well, no parental rights end just because their children step into a public school.<\/strong><\/p>\n Please take your children out of public school–right now it’s not a good place!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Under the Biden administration’s policies, there are some real questions as to what the actual rights of parents are.
